ONEIDA NATION HOMELANDS (October 1, 2012) HBO added a third televised bout to its Saturday, October 27 Boxing After Dark card at Turning Stone Resort Casino. The triple header now includes two title fights and a Main Event featuring the number one contender for Floyd Mayweather, Jr.’s WBC Welterweight title, Thomas Dulorme.
Promoter Gary Shaw of Gary Shaw Productions said, “It’s my great pleasure to bring an exciting night of professional boxing to the beautiful Turning Stone Resort Casino. The atmosphere at Turning Stone is incredible. It’s a great venue to host this type of high-profile fight on HBO.”
In the Main Event, Dulorme, (16-0-0, 12 KOs) of Puerto Rico, puts his number one WBC Welterweight contender ranking on the line against Luis Carlos Abregu (33-1-0, 27 KOs) of Argentina.
In a second nationally-televised fight announced this morning, IBF Lightweight Champion Miguel Vazquez (31-3-0, 13 KOs) of Guadalajara, Mexico takes on challenger Marvin Quintero (25-3-0, 21 KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico.
The third bout of the triple header features WBO NABO Junior Welterweight Champion Karim Mayfield (16-0-1, 10 KOs) of San Francisco defending his title against challenger Mauricio Herrera (18-2-0, 7 KOs) of Lake Elsinore, California.
Promoters plan to announce the undercard at a later date. Bouts are subject to change.
Doors open at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, October 27. The first undercard bout starts at 7:30 p.m. The live HBO Boxing After Dark telecast begins at 10:15 p.m.
