MISSISSAUGA, ON. (Thursday, October 11, 2012) –* After undefeated
cruiserweight “Dangerous” Denton Daley (7-0, 4 KO’s) annihilated leading
contender Jason Douglas this past September in four rounds, he was looking
forward to getting a crack at either Canadian Cruiserweight champ Ryan
Henney or NABA Canadian champion Chris Norrad on December 1st at the
Hershey Centre in Mississauga.
But, as it turns out, after both so-called champions ran and hid from
the consensus number-one ranked Canadian contender, Daley will have a
far tougher challenge on his hands when he faces KO artist Mauro
Ordiales (28-10, 26 KO’s) of Argentina.
“Ordiales is the type of fighter that really motivates me, and forces me to
be at my best,” Denton said of the rock-fisted Argentine.
“If I was fighting Henney or Norrad, I’d know exactly what to expect, and
quite frankly, there’d be nothing to worry about. But a guy like Ordiales
can end a fight anytime with one punch.”
“You combine his power, with my hand speed, accuracy, and combinations, and
it’s a lock that this fight isn’t going the distance.”
Tickets for Daley vs. Ordiales are available at the Hershey Centre box
office, or at Ticket Master. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the opening bell
for the six fight undercard rings at 8:00 PM.
