Atlantic City, NJ—Light-heavyweight Todd Unthank-May, of Philadelphia, PA, goes for his seventh win in seven pro fights when he boxes Hamid Abdul-Mateen, of Brooklyn, NY, in a scheduled six-round contest on Saturday evening, Feb. 23, in the Grand Ballroom at Bally’s Atlantic City.
Topping the seven-bout card is a scheduled 10-round middleweight contest between Patrick Majewski, of Somers Point, NJ, and Jamaal Davis, of Philadelphia, PA. The show will be streamed live by www.gofightlive.tv.
Light-heavyweight Chuck Mussachio, of Wildwood, NJ, opposes Lionel Thompson, of Buffalo, NY, in the eight-round semifinal.
Unthank-May (right), 24, turned pro 17 months ago and is 6-0, 2 K0s. He was busy in 2012, winning all five fights, including his last one Dec. 8 in Philadelphia when he got off the floor in the first round to earn a four-round decision over fellow-Philadelphian Taneal Goyco.
As an amateur, Unthank-May won the Pennsylvania Golden Gloves light-heavyweight championship three times en route to a 22-8 record. He is a graduate of Academy Park High School in Sharon Hill, PA.
