Las Vegas – April 1, 2013 Rocktagon MMA is on the move, adding Indiana to the list as they continue the 2013 “Journey of Champions” Pro-Am Series. The Las Vegas based promotion will hold the first of several events in the sate with Rocktagon XXV “Prepare for Battle” on April 6 at the Crane Bay Event Center in Indianapolis. Rocktagon XXV will feature five professional bouts, two amateur title shots, and a full undercard stacked with the region’s most talented up-and-comers from Ohio, Illinois, and all over Indiana.
Rocktagon MMA national matchmaker Mike Camp is excited for the promotion’s first Indiana event. “The venue is top notch and, when matched with Rocktagon’s marketing machine, the fans and competitors are in for a real treat!”
The highly anticipated main event pits Clint Anderson (Miletich Fighting Systems – Rock Island, IL) in a professional lightweight battle with Joe “Superhero” Lile (TYB/Fishers BJJ & Boxing). Quickly emerging among the nation’s best new professionals, Lile (3-0) and Anderson (4-1) are sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
The co-main event features Tony “Two Times” Ledbetter (John Turner MMA – Princeton, IN) and Keith “Stone” Cunagin (Sacan Fight Science – Hamilton, OH) in a professional welterweight bout. Additional professional matchups on tap for the evening include lightweights Austin “Cougar Bait” Tweedy (Iron Horse Martial Arts/American Top Team/Team Indiana – New Palestine, IN) vs. Doug Stapleton (Ft Wayne Jiu Jitsu Academy – Ft Wayne, IN), Muhammad Abdullah (Vision MMA – Dayton, OH) vs. Jared “War Angel” Bailey (Team Bailey – Indianapolis, IN), and Kyle “Cowboy” Nickle (Team Hyten MMA – Crawfordsville, IN) vs. Reggie Parks (Ronin Training Center – Columbus, OH).
The excitement will continue in the amateur division with two Rocktagon MMA championship belts up for grabs. James “Bad Touch” Mogollon (Iron Horse Martial Arts/American Top Team/Team Indiana –Indianapolis, IN) will face Gary Widget (TYB/Fishers BJJ & Boxing – Noblesville, IN) for the Rocktagon MMA Lightweight Indiana Amateur Title. Trey Ross (Outlaw DFF – Indianapolis, IN) will square off against Robert Duke (Garra BJJ – Kokomo, IN) for a chance to take home the Rocktagon MMA Light Heavyweight Indiana Amateur Title.
The remainder of the action-packed undercard features several key bouts, including Steven “Little Kimbo” Marbley (Fight Science – Layfayette, IN) vs. Jon Franklin (Indianapolis, IN); Caylea “The Banshee” Borges (Iron Horse/ATT/Team Indiana – Indianapolis, IN) vs. Vanessa Demopoulos (Ronin – Columbus, OH); Derek Bratton (MidEvil MMA – Martinsville, IN) vs. Kyle Ettner (Integrated Fight Team – Indianapolis, IN); Bryan Grimm (Outlaw DFF – Vicennes, IN) vs. Adam Hayden (Small Axe Jiu Jitsu – Martinsville, IN); Robert “The Reaper” Olen (MidEvil MMA/Team ATOS/Pro Choice/ Small Axe – Martinsville, IN) vs. Roderick Cole (Kokomo, IN); Tylor Warner (Iron Horse – Pendleton, IN) vs. Brian Siddons (Cloverdale, IN); Kyle O’Malley (Planet Fitness – Indianapolis, IN) vs. Shawn Alexander (Integrated – Indianapolis, IN); and Wes Barber (Iron Horse – Pendleton, IN) vs. Sinhue “The Dark Prince” Mockobee (Team Dark Prince – Huntington, IN).
