They say it takes a village to raise a child. While the 21 year old Anthony Hardy may be a full-grown man in legal terms; he is still lying out in his nursery through his beloved sport of boxing.
His main coaching staff, Peter Cope and Alan Temple has been working with him tirelessly. They hope to tweak and sharpen his impressionable style for the pro-ranks. He needs to sit down on his punches while keeping his ability to glide and sway with his punches intact.
For that, what would be better than professional boxers? Hardy has been getting top-notch sparring from boxing’s very best – this includes fellow prospect and Commonwealth/Amateur championship medalist Bradley Saunders (5-0-0 3 KO’s as a pro)! Saunders has given him more than he could handle during their merciless affairs; despite the fact it was only training this is yet another mark to the quality of Hardy as a fighter.
Please enjoy the photos below of Saunders and Hardy sparring. On July 7th at the Stadium of Light Hardy makes his professional boxing debut against Matt Seawright.
