According to Dan Rafael of espn.com, 2012 Olympic Gold Medal winning Super Heavyweight Anthony Joshua will turn pro and sign a promotional contract with Matchroom Sport.
Joshua is scheduled to make his professional debut in the headline bout — likely a scheduled six-rounder — on Oct. 5 at the O2 Arena in London.
Joshua joins Olympic teammates Luke Campbell, the bantamweight gold medalist who recently turned pro as a lightweight, and team captain Thomas Stalker, a junior welterweight, in the Matchroom Sport stable.
