London (20 February) Lee Nutland is excited to make “dream” debut in front of his home supporters at the City Academy, Bristol, on March 1st.
The Avon cruiserweight is competing in his first fight as a professional, with 2008 Beijing Olympic Gold medallist James DeGale topping the bill.
“I’m really proud to be signed with Sanigar promotions and having my first pro fight on a huge fight card like this is something every boxer dreams of,” Lee said.
Nutland fights on the undercard to DeGale’s WBC Silver super middleweight title defence against undefeated former IBO Youth champion Gevorg Katchikian.
The man fondly known as ‘Chunky’, DeGale, meets the Netherlands based Katchikian, who boasts a perfect record of 20-0, ahead of his WBC sanctioned final eliminator against Mayweather promoted Badou Jack.
Also scheduled to fight on the March 1st show is Bristol’s own British bantamweight champion Lee Haskins and a whole host of talent, including Dan Sarkozi and Ashley Lane and Weston Super-Mare’s Liam Hunt in his professional debut.
