Toronto – Fight Network, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, presents a live broadcast of GLORY 14 Zagreb, the world’s premier kickboxing action, on Saturday, March 8, beginning at 4 p.m. ET.
Emanating from Zagreb, Croatia’s Arena Zagreb, GLORY 14 Zagreb is headlined by world-renowned heavyweight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (22-7-0, 12 KOs) making his GLORY debut against fellow living legend Remy Bonjasky (98-12-0, 36 KOs). The bout is a rematch from 2002, which Filipovic won by TKO.
The fight card also features a lightweight world title fight and a one-night, four-man middleweight contender tournament.
GLORY’s lightweight world title is on the line in the co-headliner as No. 1 ranked Andy “The Machine” Ristie (41-3-1, 21 KOs) faces rising American contender Ky Hollenbeck (46-3-0, 23 KOs), currently ranked No. 5. Both fighters last competed at GLORY 12 New York, where Ristie knocked out Giorgio Petrosyan and Robin van Roosmalen to become GLORY lightweight tournament world champion, and Hollenbeck defeated Warren Stevelmans by unanimous decision.
In a one-night, four-man tournament to establish GLORY’s next middleweight contender, No. 5 ranked Sahak Parparyan (40-10-5, 19 KOs) of Armenia battles No. 6 ranked Jason Wilnis (21-3-1, 6 KOs) of the Netherlands. On the other side of the bracket, American prospect Dustin Jacoby (4-3-0, 3 KOs) meets Brazilian Alex Pereira (11-1-0, 8 KOs). The contender tournament winner earns a spot in GLORY’s middleweight world championship tournament later this year.
