Jorge Melendez scored a 10 round unanimous decision over Richard Gutierrez in a Jr. Middleweight bout at the Coliseo Roger L. Mendoza in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Melendez scored a knockdown in the opening frame from a barrage of punches in the corner. He then cruised the rest of the nine rounds and won by scores of 98-91 and 97-92 twice.

Melendez, 154 lbs of Maniti, PR is now 28-3-1. Gutierrez, 153 lbs is now 27-1-3-1.

Lightweight Felix Verdejo scored a 3rd round knockout over Juan Santiago in a scheduled 6 round bout.

Verdejo connected on a perfect right to the chin that sent Santiago to the canvas and the fight was stopped at 1:26 of round three.

Verdejo, 134 lbs of Puerto Rico is now 11-o with 8 knockouts. Santiago, 133 lbs of Denver is now 14-12-1.

Antonio Ortiz scored a 4 round split decision over Julio Santos in a Jr. Welterweight bout.

Ortiz won two cards 39-37 while Santos won every round (40-36) on the third card.

Ortiz, 142 lbs is 5-0. Santos, 140 lbs was making his pro debut.
