Zurich, Switzerland (August 31, 2014)–On Saturday night, August 30,BenediktPoelchauof (Blanko Sports), held a very successful night of professional boxing in Volkshaus Zurich, Switzerland. The young passionate business savvy promoter provided fight fans a night to remember. Blanko Sports presented “Boxing Gala” which was headlined by the very popular Hungarian middleweight Istvan “The Prince”Szili appearing in a 12-round UniversalBoxingFederation (UBF)world championship bout. The card also featured a great undercard.
Serving as the co main event Alis “Sun” Sijaric (8-0, 7 KO’s), the fast rising light heavyweight from Montenegro who now makes his residence in Tuggen, Switzerland. Sijaric was pitted against the former Hungary super middleweight champion Gyorgy Marosi (22-16, 11KO’s).
Promoter Benedikt Poelchau prior to the fight told anyone who would listen that Sijaric was ready for a jump in class and fight fans should not blink. Soon as round 1 sounded, it was clear Poelchau was correct.
Marosi who holds notable wins over former IBF Mediterranean light heavyweight championIstvan Varga, Gyula Gaspar, and Arnold Turos. Maorsi was supposed to be the biggest test for the determined Sijaric, instead the fight will end as soon as it began. Boxing insiders thought Marosi had the advantage due to his experience and heavy hands.
The fight started with both fighters throwing very nice hard stiff jabs, both looking to impose their will on the other. Sijaric was able to land more and landed some incredibly big shots that dropped the ring veteran. The fight ended in round 1 of a scheduled 10 round bout for the vacant Universal Boxing Federation (UBF), All- European light heavyweight title.
After the bout both fighters hugged in the middle of the ring and everyone in attendance applauded them.
