Bundrage reclaims Jr. Middleweight crown with decision over Molina
Cornelius Bundrage reclaimed the IBF Jr. Middleweight title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Carlos Molina at the Oasis Hotel Complex in Cancun, Mexico.
Bundrage dropped Molina in the 1st round from a hard right. Molina began to get back in the fight in round’s three and four as he started to pepper Bundrage from the outside.
The pace of the fight was very slow. Bundrage was deducted a point in round eight for hitting behind the head. Bundrage dropped <Molina hard on his face in round ten from a left hook. Molina got a break as the tape around the left glove of Bundrage became unraveled. Bundrage, 154 lbs of Detroit, MI won by scores of 116-109, 117-106 and 115-110 and is now 34-5. Molina, 152 3/4 lbs is now 22-6-2. Rene Alvarado scored a 12-round unanimous decision over Juan Pablo Sanchez in a Super Featherweight bout. Scores were 116-112, 115-114 and 115-114 for Alvarado, 129 1/2 lbs of Managua, NIC and is now 21-3. Sanchez, 130 lbs of Mexico is now 29-12.
