Vazquez decisions Arellano in Puerto Rico

Former world champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. scored an 8-round majority decision over Jonathan Arrelano in a Featherweight bout at the Coliseo Héctor Solá Bezares in Caguas, Puerto Rico

Vazquez, 126 lbs of Puerto Rico won by scores of 78-74, 77-75 and 76-76 and is now 24-4-1. Arellano, 126 lbs is now 15-5-2.

Alberto Machado remained undefeated with a 2nd round stoppage over Alvin Torres in a scheduled 8-round Super Featherweight bout.

Machado dropped Torres with a hard right hook and the bout was stopped at 2:25 of round two.

Machado, 130 lbs of San Juan, PR is now 9-0 with 7 knockouts. Torres, 129 lbs of Aibonita, PR is now 7-2-2.

Freddy Ortiz scored a 2nd round stoppage over Jonathan Feliciano in a scheduled 4-round Featherweight bout.

Ortiz landed a combination that was cleaned up by a hard uppercut that sent Feliciano to the canvas and the fight was stopped at 1:16 of round two/

Ortoz, 123 lbs of Humacao, PR is now 3-0 with 3 knockouts. Feliciano, 119 lbs of Anasco, PR is now 0-2.

Jose Martinez destroyed Luis Cosme in just 46 seconds into their Bantamweight bout.

Martinez landed a huge combination that sent Cosme to the ropes and dropped him and the fight was stopped.

Martinez is now 13-0 with 9 knockouts. Cosme 8-5-1.

Clarence Booth scored a 6-round unanimous decision over Javier Garcia in Welterweight bout.

Booth, 146 lbs of St. Petersburg, FL won by scores of 60-54 on all cards and is now 9-1. Garcia is 6-6-1.

Julian Rodriguez remained undefeated by scoring a 2nd round stoppage over Jorge Cordero in a Jr. Welterweight bout.

Rodriguez scored a knockdown at the end of round one from a right hand. Rodriguez dropped Cordero at the beginning of round two. He floored Cordero for a 3rd and final time from a left hook and the bout was stopped at 1:21 of round two.

Rodriguez, 141 lbs of New Jersey is now 7-0 with 6 knockouts. Cordero, 140 lbs is now 6-6-1.

Miguel Del Valle scored an upset as he registered a 6-round unanimous decision over Israel Vazquez in a Flyweight bout.

Del Valle dropped Vasquez in round two with a left hook. He dropped Vazquez again in round four from an overhand left.

Del Valle, 112 lbs won by scores of 59-53 and 58-54 twice and is now 10-22-1. Vazquez, 109 lbs of Puerto Rico is now 9-1-2.

Ricardo Rodriguez needed just 62 seconds in his pro debut to take out Luis Soto in a scheduled 4-round Bantamweight bout.

Rodriguez stunned Soto with a hard over hand right and then floored him with a follow up flurry and the bout was stopped.

Rodriguez, 115 lbs is 1-0 with 1 knockout. Soto, 116 lbs if 0-3.
