PROVIDENCE, R.I. (May 8th, 2015) – CES Boxing President and CEO Jimmy Burchfield Sr., co-promoter of Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach, continues to lobby for a bout between his world-ranked fighter and former Olympic medalist David Price, a bout rumored to take place in June until Price reportedly withdrew from the fight last month.

“They still don’t have an opponent for him,” Burchfield said of Price’s promoter, Team Sauerland. “Why are they, and Price’s camp, afraid to fight Wach? We accepted all of the terms. A fighter has to fight.”

CES Boxing co-promotes Wach with New Jersey-based Global Boxing and Mariusz Kolodziej. Price (19-2, 16 KOs) and Wach (30-1, 16 KOs) are ranked No. 24 and 25, respectively, among heavyweights in the World Boxing Council (WBC).
