GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN TO BE NAMED OFFICIAL AMBASSADOR FOR WORLD EXPO 2017 IN WASHINGTON D.C. ON THURSDAY

Los Angeles, CA (March 31, 2016) Boxing Superstar and Unified Middleweight World Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin will be in Washington D.C. today where he will be named the Official Ambassador for Kazakhstan’s World EXPO 2017 in a formal ceremony to be attended by President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Golovkin is taking a rare day away from his preparations with longtime trainer Abel Sanchez in
Big Bear Lake, California for his April 23rd world title defense to be present for one of his countries highest honors. Golovkin will be accompanied by Tom Loeffler, Managing Director of
K2 Promotions.

Golovkin is a native of Kazakhstan and won the Silver Medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece as a member of their boxing team.

Boxing Superstar and Undefeated, Unified World Middleweight Champion Gennady, “GGG” Golovkin, 34-0 (31KO’s) will defend his titles (WBA, IBF, IBO and WBC “Interim’) against Undefeated Mandatory Challenger Dominic Wade, 18-0 (12KO’s) on Saturday, April 23 at the Fabulous Forum in the main event at UNDEFEATED.

Co-featured will be Consensus #1 Pound-For-Pound Fighter and WBC Flyweight World Champion Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, 44-0 (38KO’s) battling World Ranked Contender McWilliams Arroyo, 16-2 (14KO’s) of Puerto Rico.

Both bouts will be televised Live on HBO World Championship Boxing® beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
