Vasyl Lomachenko won the WBO Jr. Lightweight title with a 5th round knockout over Rocky Martinez at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Lomachenko landed a devastating right hook that knocked Martinez out cold and the fight was stopped at 2:09 of round five.

Felix Verdejo remained undefeated by scoring a 5th round stoppage over Juan Jose Martinez in a scheduled 10-round lightweight bout. In round five, a straight right hurt Martinez that was followed by a left hook that sent Martinez to the ropes. Verdejo landed a barrage of punches and the fight was stopped at 2:40. Verdejo, 134 3/4 lbs of San Juan, PR is now 22-0 with 15 knockouts. Martinez, 133 3/4 lbs of Guadalajara, MX is 25-3.
