Cletus Seldin (640x360)
6/18/16, New York- Star Boxing’s Rockin’ Fights took center stage on Friday night (June 17), and WBC Silver International Champion and WBC World #4-ranked Junior Welterweight contender Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin (19-0, 16 KO’s Long Island, NY) extended his unbeaten streak with his 19th consecutive victory, a rousing first round TKO over Jesus Selig (19-4-1, 12 KO’s Douglas, Arizona) at The Paramount in Huntington, New York. Seldin attacked with thrilling ferocity from the get go. He knocked the seasoned Selig to the mat the first time he landed flush to his head. Selig rose but the writing was on the wall as Seldin went in for the kill. Cletus then drilled a wobbly Selig in what will be a highlight reel knockout for many years to come. The referee didn’t bother to count. The 10-round Junior Welterweight main event headlined the 24th edition of the popular series promoted by Joe DeGuardia.

Seldin, the Patchogue product fighting out of Shirley, Long Island, has been sensational in compiling an unblemished 19-0 mark, with 16 of his triumphs coming via highlight reel knockouts. Seldin has won 11 straight and 16 out of 17 at the popular Long Island venue.

The undercard featured a bevy of top local prospects, and here are those results: In another junior welterweight clash, Woodhaven’s Danny Gonzalez (12-0-1, 5 KO’s) remained undefeated with a unanimous eight round decision over Curtis Morton (4-6-4) of Myrtle Beach in an eight-rounder. El Gallo displayed eye catching combinations, superior footwork and resolve in his impressive victory.

Sweden’s Naim Terbunja, (8-1) earned a unanimous six round decision over Lanny Dardar (3-6-2, 1 KO) of Louisiana. Both combatants threw caution to the wind, unloaded with a barrage of shots in every round.

Tyrone “Pretty Boy” James (3-0, 2 KO) remained unbeaten with his third straight triumph, a first round TKO over New York City’s Kasif Muhammad (0-3). James is starting to live up to some big hype following his impressive amateur background.

Another Elmont, Long Island fighter showcased his talents with a victory, as Terell Bostic (2-0, 1 KO) won by unanimous decision over Miguel Gloria (1-3) of Albuquerque; and Brooklyn’s Laurend Stewart (3-0, 2 KOs) continued his winning ways scored a second round destruction over Daniel Flores (0-3).
