DANIEL “TWITCH” FRANCO VS. JOSE HARO THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10 IN WASHINGTON D.C. FOR IBF – USBA FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2016) – Top undefeated prospect DANIEL “TWITCH” FRANCO, (14-0-3, 9 KO’s), of Rancho Cucamonga, California faces JOSE HARO, (13-1-1, 7 KO’s) of West Jordan, Utah for the vacant IBF-USBA featherweight title on Thursday, November 10 in Washington, D.C. in the 10-round main event of “FIGHT NIGHT” at the Washington Hilton.

“I’m thrilled for this opportunity to fight in Washington, D.C. for the IBF-USBA featherweight title. Jose and I have been on a crash course for the last year and I’m glad we can finally settle this in the ring with a title and a world ranking at stake,” said the 24-year-old Franco. “My goal is to become a world champion and this opportunity for fight for a top-15 world ranking is the next crucial step.”

“We’re excited for Daniel and the team. Everyone’s worked very hard towards a common goal since Daniel turned professional almost six years ago,” said Ray Chaparro, manager of Franco who is promoted by Roc Nation Sports. “It’s a cross-country trip for Daniel but were here to become a world champion and this is the path we need to take.”

The hard-hitting Franco returns to the ring following a convincing fifth round knockout of Marcello Gallardo on August 6 in Oakland, California on the undercard of Andre Ward vs. Alexander Brand.

The knockout of Gallardo was the second in a row for the heavy handed Franco, who previously stopped German Meraz in the eighth round on March 26, also in Oakland.

The 29-year-old Haro is currently riding a five fight winning streak, most recently, knocking out Sergio Najera on July 16 in Layton, Utah. His only loss came to then undefeated top prospect Toka Khan Clary in a six-round unanimous decision on June 14, 2014 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
