ORANGE, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2016) – For Danny Roman – the current NABA champion at 122 lbs. – headlining a Thompson Boxing Promotions card has become status quo, or business as usual for the Los Angeles native.

“I’ve been real fortunate over the last few years to fight as often as I have,” said Roman, who finds himself in Friday’s 10-round “New Blood” main event against Mexico’s Victor Proa. “I always stay ready for when the call comes to make a fight. I’m prepared and motivated to take on anyone they put in front of me.”

Since his last defeat, a disputed decision loss to Juan Reyes three years ago, Roman (20-2-1, 7 KOs) has hit a winning spree that includes four wins in 2014, five last year, and on Friday, goes for his fourth win on the year.

Fight fans across Southern California have noticed his rising stock, as have the world rankings. After debuting on the WBA list as its No. 14 contender last year, Roman has shot up the charts to No. 5, right behind Scott Quigg and Adam Lopez. On Friday night, Roman will make the fifth defense of the WBA-NABA Title he won last year.

“I just have to continue winning and I know my time will come,” said the 26-year-old. “I’m looking forward to closing out the year with another win.”

“Over the course of his winning streak, Danny has been destroying the opposition on the scorecards,” said Ken Thompson, president of Thompson Boxing Promotions. “Fans know what to expect when they pay to see him fight. We expect another dominating performance from Danny on Friday night.”

Tickets for “New Blood” are priced at $40, $60, & $100 and are available for purchase online at ThompsonBoxing.com, or by calling 714-935-0900.
