“KnockOut Night at the DLVEC” has produced some memorable action packed fights, huge upsets and spectacular knockouts in 2016 and provided us with an introduction to some of the fastest-rising young contenders and prospects in the sports today like; WBO #6 Super-Flyweight Aston Palicte (22-0-0),
WBA #10 Super-Welterweight John Vera Jr. (16-0-0) and blue chip prospects Randy Moreno (8-0-0), Max Ornelas (7-0-0) and Flavio Rodriquez (6-0-0)

Saturday, March 11 will keep up with the “KnockOut Night at the D” tradition as former WBA Super-Bantamweight World Champion Rico Ramos (26-5) from Pico Rivera, CA takes on the WBA #13 Super-Bantamweight Contender Erik Ruiz 916-5) from Oxnard, CA in a 10 rd Super-Bantamweight bout.

Ramos won the WBA Super-Bantamweight World Championship back on July 9, 2011 in Atlantic CIty on HBO with a come from behind KO win over defending champion Akifumi Shimoda (23-2) from Japan. Ramos reign as world champion world be short lived as Ramos would lose his title six-months later in his first defense against Cuban sensation Guillermo Rigondeaux, who at the time was only (8-0). Ramos is currently on a two-fight winning streak defeating African veterans Justin Savi (28-5) and Prosper Ankrah (24-8). Ramos knows that a victory over the world ranked Erik Ruiz will place him right back into world title contingency.

Ruiz on the other is your typical hard nose contender who at one time started his career at 13-1 before suffering back to back losses, one to current WBO Featherweight World Champion Jesse Magdaleno (24-0) and another to world ranked contender Manuel Avila (22-0). Ruiz gained momentum last May in Las Vegas in September when he defeated fringe contender Hanzel Martines (23-2-0) by MD10 for the vacant WBA International Super-Bantamweight Championship on one of the installments of “Knockout Night at the D’.

The under card is fulled with hard hitting, action packed fights, and all are coming to Las Vegas only to leave victorious.
