FULL CARD ANNOUNCED FOR THURSDAY NIGHT’S EVANDER HOLYFIELD’S REAL DEAL SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT ‘SPECIAL EDITION’ HALL OF FAME TRIBUTE AND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION EVENT

Atlanta, GA (October 18, 2017) The Real Deal Boxing, the promotional entity of Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal Sports and Entertainment, has finalized details for an action packed card Thursday night, October 19 at The Georgia Freight Depot in a ‘Special Edition’ Hall of Fame Tribute and Birthday Celebration.

Inducted in the International Boxing Hall of Fame this past June, boxing legend Holyfield will turn 55 years old on fight night.

Tickets priced at $150, $100 and $60 can be purchased in advance at TheRealDealBoxing.com. VIP Tables for $2500 and $1500 are also available for purchase. The historic Georgia Freight Depot is located at 66 Martin Luther King Dr. in Atlanta, GA 30303. Doors will open on the night of the event at 6:00 p.m. with the first bell at 7:00 p.m.

Four fights will be telecast nationally on CBS Sports Network starting at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday night. Featured on the call will be International Boxing Hall of Famer BARRY TOMPKINS, two-time world champion PAULIE MALIGNAGGI and the nationally known ring announcer DAVE DIAMANTE.

Headlining the October 19 special event, top featherweight contenders will battle over 10-rounds as Providence, Rhode Island’s TOKA KAHN “T-Nice” CLARY, (22-1, 15 KO’s) faces hard hitting DAVID BERNA (13-0, 12 KO’s), of Budapest, Hungary for the vacant WBA/NABA Featherweight Title.

The 25-year-old, all-action Clary returns to battle following his dominant performance in an eight round decision victory over Angel Luna on June 24 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Fighting for the first time in the United States, the 27-year-old Berna will be looking to impress boxing fans in this country as he makes the sixth start of his 2017 campaign. His last four victories have come by knockout.

Featured in the eight-round televised co-main event, local fan favorite and former world title challenger RAYONTA ‘Stingray’ WHITFIELD, (28-1, 15 KO’s), of Augusta, GA will face off against MARIO “EL Triturador” DIAZ, (16-1, 6 KO’s) of Aguascalientes, Mexico for the WBC Continental Americas Featherweight Title.

Riding a six bout winning streak, Whitfield will be looking to continue his path towards a world title opportunity against the battle tested Diaz.

Fighting for the first time in the United States, the 22-year-old Diaz is on a remarkable fourteen bout winning streak.

In a fantastic eight round clash of top super featherweight prospects, Washington D.C.’s JOSHUA DAVIS, (11-1, 5 KO’s), will battle RAY “Lightning Jr.” LAMPKIN, (10-0, 4 KO’s) of Portland, Oregon.

Undefeated cruiserweight prospects will also see action as The Real Deal Boxing’s newly-signed JOSHUA TEMPLE, (4-0, 4 KO’s), of St. Louis, Missouri, faces Worcester, Massachusetts’ BRYAN DANIELS, (5-0, 3 KO’s) in a scheduled six rounder.

Among the top national and local prospects featured on the off-TV undercard in separate bouts include middleweight MARQUISE MOORE, (5-0, 3 KO’s) of Colorado Springs, CO, welterweight JANELSON BOCACHICA FIGUEROA, (7-0, 4 KO’s), of Detroit, MI, junior featherweight LAWRENCE NEWTON, (7-0, 5 KO’s), of Boynton Beach, FL, and more!
