“Rockin’ Fights” 32 was a fantastic night of fights, in front of a sell-out crowd at The Paramount, that reflected the energy of the fighters in the ring. From the opening bell, every bout contained dramatic back and forth action; a quintessential New York style, “Rockin’ Fights.”
The broadcast will feature three action packed bouts.
The broadcast will open with a 4-round welterweight brawl, that kicked off the action packed night in the first of many entertaining fights, between Bellport’s ALEX “EL TORO” VARGAS making his pro-debut, as he took on Philadelphia’s, DERRON LAWSON. If you did not know otherwise, you would think these two warriors went a full 12-rounds. This 4-rounder was a candidate for undercard fight of the night. Tune in early as you wont want to miss this one.
In the second bout of the broadcast, “ACTION” ANTHONY LAUREANO makes his return to both NESN and The Paramount. Laureano was last seen on NESN during Star Boxing’s “SLUGFEST at the SUN” at Mohegan Sun, in June, when he earned a dominate unanimous decision victory. Now, Laureano returns to The Paramount, almost exactly a year from his last appearance at the venue, to take on tough Texan, MARQUIS “THE HAWK” HAWTHORNE in a 6-round jr. welterweight tilt. Hawthorne looked to control the pace, using his taller frame and long reach, while Laureano stuck to his game plan of working his way inside, behind his jab to score on the inside.
In the main event, two of The Paramount’s finest, put on a fantastic fight, bringing you back to the glory days of club show boxing when DANNY “EL GALLO” GONZALEZ took on JOHNNY “HITMAN” HERNANDEZ for the ABO INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE, in a bout that lived up to its hype. Gonzalez stayed true to his enormous work rate, while Hernandez attempted to stifle Danny’s production, using quick combinations and stellar footwork. The crowd was on its feet for the entire 10-rounds, with alternating chants of “Danny” and “Johnny”, that will be sure to have you on the edge of your seat, while watching from home.
On the NESN broadcast, you will hear top notch analysis from commentator, and in-ring analyst, Jahmai Webster as well as former middleweight champion, and Massachusetts native, Dana Rosenblatt.
Be sure to tune in THIS TUESDAY at 8:00 PM. Click HERE to find the NESN channel number in your area.

FACTS:
