Making his ring debut on American soil, the powerful southpaw Torres was too big and strong for the game, but outgunned Walters. Considered a “pick em” fight before it started, 23-year-old Torres dropped Walters with a thudding series of punches that prompted him to voluntarily take a knee for an eight count from Referee Rudy Barragan late in round three.
