Below are quotes from the participants;
Tom Loeffler
“Since the 90’s when I was managing ‘The Flushing Flash’ Kevin Kelley from Queens, I have always loved working at Madison Square Garden. Having promoted many great nights with the Klitschko Brothers and Gennadiy Golovkin, I’m very excited to bring Callum Walsh back here for the third time on this great Irish boxing card for St. Patrick’s Day Weekend. The Biggest Irish Boxing Card in New York City History.”
“With our first fight at 4:00 p.m. ET, that’s 8:00 p.m. in Ireland, a perfect time to watch this card on UFC Fight Pass.”
Mick Conlan (Manager of Kevin Cronin)
“I’ve had some great nights here and want to tell the lads who haven’t fought here before, there’s nothing else in the world like fighting at Madison Square Garden, it really is The Mecca of Boxing. Enjoy every moment as this is the best atmosphere you’ll ever experience. Wish everyone on the card all the best.”
‘King’ Callum Walsh
“This is a real Irish card with real Irish fighters that’s really uniting the Irish country. We’ve got great fights throughout the entire card; a terrific rematch, heavyweights and two pro debuts.”
“Dean and I are ready to fight, he’s coming ready and we’re going to put on a great show for the fans.”
Dean Sutherland
“The Scotts and the Irish are very pretty similar, we just want to see a good quality showdown and that’s exactly what you are going to get on Sunday night. Me and Callum are going to leave it all in the ring and may the best man win!”
Cletus Seldin
“Madison Square Garden, The Mecca of Boxing, baby. Just one year ago I made history here with two victories, one in the ring and one when I proposed to my now wife. Six months later we got married and six months after that we’re here again.”
“I also found out The Hebrew Hammer is 3% Irish and if I do my math correctly that makes me 300% Irish this weekend. On Sunday night the fighting spirit the Irish have will be on display and in my performance.”
Keenan Carbajal
“I just found out ten minutes ago that my first name Keenan is of Irish descent. The fighting spirit of the Irish will be in me on Sunday night. Respect will be earned. I’m happy to be here and ready to put on a show.
Emett Brennan
“Thanks to Tom Loeffler, it doesn’t get much bigger than fighting at Madison Square Garden. The first fight was a cracker and the fight of the night, this one isn’t going ten rounds, I’ll stop him before then.”
Kevin Cronin
“The talk is done and on Sunday night we’re going to go to work. It was ten rounds of work last time and will be another tough ten rounds this time. It’s going to be a very exciting fight for those watching here at Madison Square Garden and also for fans watching on UFC Fight Pass.”
Thomas Carty
“For me, fighting at Madison Square Garden is a real honor. Thanks very much to Tom Loeffler and 360 Promotions for this opportunity. This is the American Dream to be fighting at Madison Square Garden for all of us Irish fighters. Very happy to have all my family and friends here.”
Dajuan Calloway
“I’m from Cleveland, Ohio and I’m also 30% Irish. I’m here to make a statement on Sunday night. Carty and I are going to put on a good show.”
