In the co-main event at the first-ever all women’s professional boxing card at MSG, MVP’s reigning undisputed 130 lb super featherweight champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) returns to the ring to face undefeated WBA Interim world champion, Spain’s Jennifer Miranda (12-0, 1 KO). In a 10-round undisputed super featherweight championship fight contested at 130 lbs, the co-main event, Baumgardner vs. Miranda, will air live on Netflix as MVP continues its commitment to elevating women in the sport.

In today’s press conference hosted by renowned combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, Taylor, Serrano, Baumgardner, Miranda and Jake Paul himself had plenty to say about the upcoming fight. Additional participants included Ellie Scotney vs. Yamileth Mercado, MVP’s Dina Thorslund vs. Shuretta Metcalf and Tamm Thibeault vs. Mary Casamassa. I believe women can do it, we are capable of doing it as you saw and WBC said no, so I had to give up one of my babies. I worked hard for that belt—I worked hard for all my belts. So if that’s her choice then that’s her choice, but I believe that women should get the recognition and the equality that the men get.

The first two fights were absolutely epic, two of the most exciting fights of the year, and I’m pretty sure number three is going to deliver again. I just want to be involved in the biggest fights possible, and I just want to continue to create history in my sport. This is another legacy-building fight for myself and Amanda. I am 2-0 against Amanda, but I just want to prove myself once more—and what an amazing opportunity that I have on July 11th.

On Amanda needing this fight and on 3-minute rounds in women’s boxing I am 2-0 here and I’m in the driver’s seat. That’s only right at the end of the day. Amanda needs this fight a lot more than I do. I have a long history of big fights against big names and a line of people queued up to fight me for the payday. You need this fight a lot more than I do, Amanda. You know that. At the end of the day, I think the point of [you fighting] three-minute rounds was to prove to people that you get more knockouts.
