Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez
“I feel great. I feel like I’m at home, and I’ve trained really well. This is something new for me and I’m very grateful. This is one of my dreams to fight in other countries. I’m enjoying everything about it.
“I’m always looking for the best and I know really good things are coming for me.
“This is important for me because Mexican fighters go to other countries as opponents. Now I’m here as the ‘A-side’ in Saudi Arabia and that opens the door to other fighters from Mexico, and I’m proud to do that for my country.
“I’m here to make history, and it motivates me even more at this point in my career. I’m proud to bring the Mexican flag everywhere I go and represent my country.”
William Scull
“I’m very thankful for this opportunity, and I’m very happy to be here in Saudi Arabia. I’m enjoying every minute before I get to business on Saturday.
“I have the utmost respect for Canelo, but I’m here for one reason and that’s to win. That’s it. I’m gonna eat him.
“I’m focused on what I have to do. I’m very excited because I’m here to shut some mouths and do exactly what I need to do on Saturday.”
Badou Jack
“I’m just glad to be back in the ring. I had a bit of a layoff, so I’m very excited and can’t wait until fight night.
“I don’t think the layoff will be a factor. I think it’s a good thing. It wasn’t my choice, things happen, and now thanks to His Excellency, I have the opportunity to fight again.
“This is a lifestyle. You can’t just train when it’s training camp. You have to train all year round, live clean, sleep good, recovery and everything.
“This is a tough fight. He took the fight on three-and-a-half weeks’ notice, but he was already in training camp. So I think he’ll be ready and I know I’m ready.
“I’ve fought everybody in the world, whether it’s super middleweight, light heavyweight, or cruiserweight. Just tune in, I’m definitely ready.”
Jaime Munguia
“We’re very grateful for this opportunity and we’re very excited, not only because we’re here in Riyadh, but because we got this rematch. It’s nothing but excitement.
“We’re going to do things a lot better in this fight. We’re going to be alert and paying attention to everything in the ring, because we want to give the fans the fight they deserve.”
Bruno Sarace
“The knockout of Munguia was an unbelievable moment, and I have the will to do it again.
“I think the pressure is not with me. He has to avenge his loss, and I just have to give my best. The pressure is on his side.
“I’ve prepared like a champion, and I come like a champion. Everything is different, and I’m going to show everyone the new version of me on May 3.”
