LOWELL, MA – CES Boxing brings the heat to the historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, June 21 at 6pm with ‘Mill City Mayhem‘, a stacked boxing card featuring 2 WBC champions in non-title fights and many of the best prospects in the Northeast United States.

Tickets for ‘Mill City Mayhem’ are on sale now, starting at $52 and available at CES Fights or the Lowell Auditorium website.

Headlining the card is WBC US Silver Welterweight Champion “Speedy” Rashidi Ellis (26-1, 17 KOs) of Lynn, MA.  The ‘Savage with a Smile’ will battle seasoned veteran Josec “The Scorpion” Ruiz (24-8-3, 17 KOs).

The 31-year-old Ellis is ranked #8 with the WBO and is eager to make a statement as he works towards a showdown with WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman, Jr.  In his way stands Ruiz, a dangerous Honduran who has shared the ring with the likes of top prospects Henry Lebron, Alex Martin and Gabriel Flores, Jr.

WBC US Silver Middleweight Champion Francis “Frank the Tank” Hogan (19-0, 16 KOs) of Weymouth, MA looks to continue his ascent In the co-feature, taking on Puerto Rican brawler Luis Hernandez (16-9, 9 KOs).

The colorful Hogan won the WBC title in February 2024 and has made 3 successful defenses, the last via impressive unanimous decision over crosstown rival Khiary Gray in February.  That experience will serve him well against Hernandez, a savvy veteran who has competed against top contenders including Rashidi Ellis, Terrell Gausha and Esquiva Falcao.

Topping the undercard is undefeated jr. middleweight prospect Michael Fontanez (11-0, 7 KOs).  “The Blessed Southpaw” is coming off his most impressive win to date, a sixth round stoppage of Ray Oliveira Jr. in February.  With Lowell being less than 30 minutes away from his home in Nashua, NH, the 29-year-old is intent on upping the ante in front of his local fans.

Other prospects in action include popular Lawrence jr. welterweight Adrian Sosa (12-1, 9 KOs), unbeaten New Hampshire welterweight Jaydell Pazmino (6-0, 6 KOs), Dorchester lightweight puncher Tevin Regis (6-0, 5 KOs), a crosstown featherweight battle between Lawrence’s Kevin Rodriguez (4-2, 2 KOs) and New Bedford’s Josh Alvarado (2-1, 1 KO), and Boston-based Irish middleweight prospect Bernie McDonagh (1-0).

Fans and media are invited to a public workout and final press conference taking place a week before the event to see and hear from the fighters first-hand:
