San Juan, Puerto Rico (September 25, 2025) – Puerto Rican boxing talent Juanmita López has officially signed with Rimas Sports, in a major career move that further establishes him as one of the most exciting young prospects in the super flyweight division. The son of two-division world champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” López, Juanmita is determined to carve his own legacy—with a growing résumé that speaks for itself.

At just 19 years old, Juanmita has already captured the attention of the boxing world. With a professional record of 3-0, 2 KOs, Olympic experience, and a strong amateur pedigree, his partnership with Rimas Sports is set to elevate his profile on a global scale.

“Being with Top Rank, Peter Kahn, and now Rimas Sports makes me feel like I’ve been steadily building the perfect team — the team I always dreamed of, and the one I know will take me far in this sport,” said Juanmita López. “I’m more motivated than ever. The sky’s the limit, but I know that with hard work and focus, nothing is impossible. I want to keep growing, keep improving every time I step into the ring, and represent Puerto Rico with pride. My mission is to bring a world championship back to my island and keep raising our flag high wherever I go.”

The agreement with Rimas Sports includes a comprehensive suite of services, such as athlete representation, image management, brand development, and tailored marketing strategies—crafted specifically for elite-level competitors.

Alejandro Padrón, Director of Rimas Sports, highlighted the significance of the partnership: “Juanmita isn’t just a promising boxer—he’s a movement. He combines top-tier technical ability with mental toughness and star power. At Rimas, we’re dedicated to building long-term, holistic careers for elite athletes, and Juanmita embodies everything we stand for: work ethic, humility, and a relentless drive to succeed. We’re proud to be part of his journey.”

López’s amateur accomplishments are already historic. He was crowned Puerto Rico’s national adult champion in 2023, earning a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he made history as the youngest member of Puerto Rico’s boxing team and part of the first-ever father-son duo to compete in Olympic boxing for the island.

A multiple-time national champion as a youth, Juanmita also medaled at the 2022 IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in the minimumweight and light flyweight divisions. He qualified for the 2024 Olympics by winning Section 3 of the flyweight (51kg) division at the World Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament 1.

His professional debut made headlines on February 14, 2025, when he scored a first-round knockout over Bryan Santiago at the iconic Madison Square Garden. Now, he returns to the ring this Saturday in Kissimmee, Florida, facing fellow Puerto Rican Luis Morales in his first six-round fight—a pivotal moment in his fast-rising pro career.

Peter Kahn, his boxing manager and one of the sport’s top strategists, emphasized the importance of this new alliance: “Juanmita has what it takes to become a world champion—there’s no doubt about it. His discipline, skill set, and mindset set him apart. This partnership with Rimas Sports ensures that he has the support, exposure, and structure to reach his full potential. We’re building something special here.”

With this new chapter, Juanmita López continues to expand his footprint across the global boxing scene. His blend of natural ability, championship pedigree, and unwavering determination makes him one of the most watched young talents in Puerto Rico and Latin America.
