| Mashantucket, CT – CES Boxing presents Bloodlines: Gotti vs. Hagler on Saturday, October 11, at the Great Cedar Showroom inside Foxwoods Resort Casino! In the red corner will be John Gotti III, grandson of the notorious “Teflon Don.” In the blue corner will be James Hagler Jr, grandson of the legendary “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler. While each guy is fighting to carve out his own place in boxing history, this is also a clash of legacies and family pride. For Hagler Jr., Bloodlines is about seizing the opportunity. “This is my last push to keep the Hagler name alive in this sport. With all of the opportunities that are opening up for boxers with famous last names, I’d like to get in that picture—especially when I look good against Gotti. I’m taking this very seriously.” Hagler Jr, an Atlanta native, has set up training camp in Houston, working under the tutelage of respected coach Rene Vasquez at the Legions Training Complex. “Training camp is going great,” said Hagler. “I’ve been working hard and sparring with up-and-coming prospects like ‘Marvelous’ Marquis Taylor.” Fighting Gotti III was Hagler Jr’s idea. “He wasn’t on my radar until I met his dad. I kept in contact with him and when my last fight fell through, I said, ‘Hey, how about Hagler vs. Gotti,’ and that’s how it all got started.” Hagler Jr is very confident going into this fight. “I have more experience because I fought as an amateur. “I saw his two fights against Floyd Mayweather, Floyd got in his head. I am more of a boxer than Gotti. I anticipate he will be aggressive and coming forward so I will be ready.” “Get your popcorn ready because it’s gonna be fireworks,” insists Hagler. “The crowd will be crazy with fans from Long Island supporting him and fans from Brockton and Atlanta cheering me on. I’m gonna put on a show for everyone and I don’t want it to go the distance.” Limited Tickets remain so grab yours now on at CES Fights or Ticketmaster.
