LAS VEGAS, SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 — Everything is set! Christian Mbilli (29-0, 24 KOs) will make his first defense of the WBC interim super middleweight world title against top-3 world contender Lester Martinez (19-0, 16 KOs) tomorrow night at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The fight, featured as the quarterfinal bout on the mega-card headlined by Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford, will be broadcast live starting at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Netflix (HERE).
The Quebecer by adoption, Christian Mbilli, and the Guatemalan Lester Martinez both successfully made weight today, each coming in at 167 lb. They’ll meet tomorrow for their long-awaited 10-round showdown in Nevada.
“This is my chance to shine. I believe I was born for this kind of opportunity, and I don’t intend to miss it on Saturday night. I believe I’m on this card for a reason: His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh knows that I’m always spectacular, and with an explosive performance, I intend to steal the show and send an indelible message to Canelo and Crawford—that I’m ready to face them anywhere, anytime, and at any place,” said WBC interim world champion Christian ‘Solide’ Mbilli.
“We’re all aware that this is the most important fight of Christian Mbilli’s career, but I want to point out that it’s just as important for our sport. With Netflix, we’re talking about visibility reaching tens upon tens of millions of people. It’s unprecedented for a Quebec boxer. But Christian is built for this kind of challenge. Boxing fans have known it for years, but tomorrow night, the whole world is going to realize it,” added EOTTM president Camille Estephan.
