LOS ANGELES, September 9, 2025 — Ring Magazine, the iconic global boxing publication, has announced the launch of its brand-new show titled “Inside the Ring”, premiering on September 10 and airing weekly on DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform.
Hosted by veteran sports commentator Max Kellerman and The Ring senior insider Mike Coppinger, the studio show will feature fight recaps and previews, breaking news and analysis, commentary from a rotating cast of contributors from across the sport, and high-profile interviews with the biggest names in boxing.
The opening episode will air during fight week in the build up to the highly anticipated blockbuster showdown between undisputed super middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and undefeated four-division superstar Terence Crawford, with both fighters set to feature on the show, while additional content will also be produced throughout the week to mark the biggest fight of the century, including a Thursday show straight after press conference and a post-weigh in show on Friday, both being broadcast from Las Vegas.
Following this historic fight week, “Inside the Ring” will air weekly from September 15 from its studio in Los Angeles every Monday exclusively on DAZN with a segment of each episode being simulcast on The Ring’s YouTube channel.
The show will be produced in collaboration with Omaha Productions, the media company behind Monday Night Football with Peyton & Eli, ESPN’s “Places” series, Netflix’s “Quarterback” and “Receiver”, and will also have its own dedicated social media handles on Instagram (@insideringshow), TikTok (@InsideRingShow), X (@InsideRingShow) and Facebook (Inside Ring Show) to encourage viewer engagement.
Rick Reeno, CEO of The Ring, said: “This isn’t just another boxing show, it’s the dawn of a new era in boxing coverage. Every week, “Inside the Ring” is bringing fans closer to the action, the stories, and the fighters shaping the sport’s future.”
Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO, said: “We are thrilled to bring “Inside the Ring” to boxing fans around the world, exclusively on DAZN. This show marks an exciting extension of our longstanding partnership with HE Turki Alalshikh and The Ring, while also reinforcing DAZN’s position as the global home of boxing. By offering unparalleled access to the world’s most exciting fights and exclusive behind-the-scenes action, DAZN is giving boxing fans everywhere the chance to connect more deeply with the sport they love.”
After many years covering a variety of sports at ESPN, Kellerman makes his long- awaited return to the world of boxing via “Inside the Ring.” The inaugural host of “Around the Horn” as well as former co-host of “SportsNation,” “First Take,” and more began his esteemed sports broadcasting career as a boxing commentator on public- access television in New York City. Now Kellerman, who will provide commentary for Netflix’s worldwide presentation of Canelo- Crawford on Saturday, returns to his roots with the weekly show from The Ring and Omaha Productions.
“This is the type of show boxing has always needed and never had,” Max Kellerman said. “The Ring has been the sport’s publication of record for over 100 years, and with the new vision for the brand, it is clearly leading boxing into the future. If you want to be prepared for a blockbuster on the level of Canelo-Crawford, you have to watch this show.”
Coppinger will co-host alongside Kellerman after more than a decade as a leading newsmaker in the boxing space. He joined The Ring as a senior insider earlier in 2025, contributing breaking news, feature stories, analysis, and live event coverage for the magazine. Prior to joining The Ring, Coppinger enjoyed stints as a boxing reporter and analyst for USA Today, The Athletic, and ESPN, where he also made appearances on TV and radio.
“We promise to deliver fans destination viewing each Monday on all things boxing, from inside information to analysis of the weekend’s fights and what’s ahead,” Mike Coppinger said. “The sport has missed Max’s voice. And it’s a thrill to team up with him for this flagship show spearheaded by the iconic brand of The Ring.”
