New York, NY, October 30, 2025 – Before The Ring IV: Night of Champions – taking place November 22 at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and airing worldwide on DAZN – former undisputed lightweight champion Devin “The Dream” Haney (32-0, 15 KOs) hosted an open media workout at Victory Boxing Club in New York City ahead of his upcoming fight with Brian Norman Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs, 1 NC), as the former will put his WBO welterweight title on the line in a 12-round bout.
Joining Haney and Norman on the star-studded card, David Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) will defend his WBC light heavyweight title against Anthony Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs), while Sam Noakes (17-0, 15 KOs) and Abdullah Mason (19-0, 17 KOs) are set to square off for the vacant WBO lightweight title.

On his motivation and selection process for opponents
“That’s just the kind of fighter I am. I’ve been like this since I was calling out Robert Easter. I always want to try and make the biggest and best fights happen…it’s nothing new. I was a bit confused when people were saying ‘oh, he’s going to pull out of the fight.’ They must have forgotten the type of fighter that I am. I ask for these challenges and I ask to fight the best fighters.”
On what went into his decision to pursue high-profile sparring partners
“I want to get some guys that would emulate Brian Norman to the best of their ability, but also fighters that are proven.”
On if the criticism from his last fight gets to him
“No. People are going to say something regardless. I just want to keep beating who is in front of me – the best fighters in the world. Let them keep making up new people and I’ll just keep beating them.”
On Norman’s team believing this fight is a stepping stone for him
“He has the right to feel however he wants to feel. You have to think if he’s being realistic, or if he really means it. If this fight is a stepping stone then what was the Jin Sasaki fight? Who was he?”
On his new weight and if it will make a difference in this next fight
“I’ll be more of my natural self. In past fights you all have seen me as a shell of myself. I was killing myself to make the weight, but I feel a lot better and a lot stronger. I’m excited.”
