Callum Simpson and Troy Williamson both made weight today ahead of their European, British & Commonwealth Super Middleweight Championship clash on Saturday, December 20 at the First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds, presented by BOXXER and broadcast live and free-to-air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
The British boxers collide in one of the most anticipated domestic clashes of the year. Simpson returns following his dramatic tenth-round stoppage win over Ivan Zucco this summer, while Williamson looks to continue his resurgence at super middleweight after a spectacular ninth-round TKO win over Mark Dickinson.
On the undercard, Ashlee Eales steps in to face Elliot Whale following the withdrawal of Blair Cobbs due to illness, while Frankie Stringer has been forced to withdraw from the card due a medical issue requiring further investigation.
Sam Hickey returns for his fourth contest against Aljaz Venko. The highly touted prospect from Dundee looks to maintain his perfect start in the paid ranks, building on a hugely decorated amateur career as he aims to bring major fights and championship success back to Scotland.
