The stage is set for Friday night as Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing once again delivers an unbeaten showdown under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden. Long Island’s Alex Vargas (14-0, 5 KOs) and Chicago’s Rani Jalomo (7-0-1, 4 KOs) both successfully made weight and are officially ready to clash tomorrow night at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Originally slated to face Ryan O’Rourke, Vargas now meets Jalomo after Star Boxing moved quickly to secure another undefeated opponent on short notice, preserving what could be one of the most compelling matchups on the card. Instead of losing momentum, the bout remains a high-stakes meeting of two unbeaten junior welterweight prospects on one of boxing’s biggest stages.
For Star Boxing, the late adjustment is another example of the promotion’s ability to deliver in pressure moments.
