A raucous atmosphere greeted Conah Walker and Sam Eggington as they faced-off for a final time at the official Weigh-In ahead of Saturday’s explosive all-Midlands derby in Wolverhampton – live on the Global Home of Boxing, DAZN.
Local favourite ‘The Wolf’ Walker received a rapturous reception from his home faithful, serenaded to a succession of ‘There’s Only One Conah Walker’ chants, whilst Birmingham rival Eggington had to ignore the noise coming from boo-boys before their Super Welterweight showdown.
Elsewhere, another Brummie native in Ryan Kelly was doing his best to silence the verbal wind-ups from the British & Commonwealth Super Welterweight Champion Bilal Fawaz ahead of their Co-Main Event.
Shannon Ryan faces Nicola Hopewell with the IBF Intercontinental & Commonwealth Super Flyweight Titles on the line, meanwhile, as teenage sensation Tiah Mai Ayton looks ahead to a clash with livewire, Stevi Levy, jumping up to the Featherweight division for the first time.
Middleweight prospect Harley Burrows – ’The Beast’ – makes his professional bow with Matchroom Boxing against Lewis Howells, whilst fellow youngster Louie Ward looks forward to his second pro outing when the Super Featherweight sizes up Jesus Carrasco.
And highly-rated Super-Welterweight Junaid Bostan makes his eagerly anticipated return to the ring when he takes Mohammed Graich in the Prelims, live on DAZN.
