Edmonton – The Octagon® returns to Edmonton with a thrilling welterweight main event that will see No. 10 ranked contender Joaquin Buckley face No. 13 ranked Canadian Mike Malott. Also, No. 4 ranked flyweight contender Erin Blanchfield battles No. 7 Jasmine Jasudavicius.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: BUCKLEY vs. MALOTT takes place Saturday, October 17 at Rogers Place. The main card will air live at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, preceded by the prelims at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT, on Sportsnet and TVA Sports. The early prelims will stream on UFC FIGHT PASS at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT.

Buckley (21-8, fighting out of St. Louis, Mo., USA) looks to turn heads with another highlight-reel finish. A dangerous KO artist, he has earned spectacular wins against Colby Covington, Stephen Thompson and Vicente Luque. Buckley looks to halt Malott’s momentum behind enemy lines to set himself up for a shot at the division’s Top 5.
Malott (14-2-1, fighting out of Fonthill, Ont., Canada) plans to enter the welterweight Top 10 with a dominant performance in his second UFC main event. A Dana White’s Contender Series signee, the Canadian standout has earned memorable victories over Gilbert Burns, Kevin Holland and Charles Radtke. Malott now intends to deliver another show-stealing finish on home soil.
Blanchfield (14-2, fighting out of Elmwood Park, N.J., USA) aims to extend her win streak to three with a vintage performance. A black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she has delivered notable submission wins against Tracy Cortez, Jessica Andrade and Molly McCann. Blanchfield plans to defend her spot in the rankings by stopping Jasudavicius in emphatic fashion.
Jasudavicius (15-4, fighting out of Niagara, Ont.) looks to build off the momentum of her April victory over Karine Silva. A relentless competitor, she has also earned memorable finishes against Jessica Andrade, Ariane da Silva and Priscila Cachoeira. Jasudavicius looks to take out Blanchfield to crack the division’s Top 5.
