TOTTENHAM’S BASSONG WINS THE NORTH LONDON DERBY AS DEAN AND NORRIS SCORE KNOCKOUTS AT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER III

London, UK – Friday 23rd October 2026 – Pro Project Promotions delivered a night of knockouts, close calls and North London bragging rights at the Grosvenor House Hotel last night (Thursday 22nd October), as A Night to Remember III raised vital funds for charity in front of a black-tie crowd.

Graham Stack, Founder of Pro Project Promotions, said:“Last night was everything this promotion is about. These lads put the work in for months, stepped into the ring in front of a packed Grosvenor and gave everything for a good cause. It was a shame not to see Nile and Jay share the ring, but fighters’ health will always come first with us, and it was the right call. We’ll be announcing the final total very soon, and I know it’s going to take us a big step closer to our £500,000 target. Thank you to every fighter, every sponsor and everyone who bought a ticket.”

The planned main event between Nile Ranger and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas did not go ahead after Ranger was withdrawn on medical advice following his pre-fight checks. Pro Project Promotions put fighter welfare first.

That left the chief support to top the bill, and Sebastien Bassong made sure the derby lived up to its billing. The former Tottenham Hotspur defender stopped Arsenal’s Armand Traore to settle the North London rivalry in the ring.

The night’s biggest shots came in the third round. Harlee Dean knocked out Leroy Lita in their heavyweight clash, and David Norris finished Simon Cox by third-round knockout, his high-output body attack breaking the former West Brom striker down.

Gary Madine edged a gruelling battle with Jamie Sendles-White by split decision, Anthony Gardner used his size and composure to outpoint Matthew Briggs, and Lee Cook stayed elusive to beat Martin Woods on points.

Results:

  • Sebastien Bassong def. Armand Traore – stoppage, round 3
  • Harlee Dean def. Leroy Lita – KO, round 3
  • David Norris def. Simon Cox – KO, round 3
  • Gary Madine def. Jamie Sendles-White – split decision
  • Anthony Gardner def. Matthew Briggs – points
  • Lee Cook def. Martin Woods – points
  • Nile Ranger vs Jay Emmanuel-Thomas – called off (medical advice)

Having raised over £201,500 for charity across its first two events, Pro Project Promotions will announce the total raised at A Night to Remember III soon, as it closes in on its £500,000 target in its debut year.
