BKFC-96: LEIGH COHOON STEPS IN TO FACE SEAN WEIR FOR UK LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE IN GLASGOW AS TICKET SALES HIT 9,000

Glasgow, Scotland, (November 2, 2026) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), The World’s Fastest Growing Combat Sports Promotion, has confirmed a change to the main event of BKFC-96 this Saturday night November 7 at the OVO Hydro Glasgow, Scotland with Manchester’s Leigh Cohoon stepping in to face Scotland’s undefeated Sean Weir for the BKFC UK Light Heavyweight Title after Conor Cooke withdrew and relinquished the UK Championship.

Sean Weir, a perfect 3-0 under the BKFC banner, now has the chance to claim the UK title in front of his home crowd as he looks to extend his unbeaten run on the biggest stage of his career. Scottish fight fans have responded to the promotion’s first ever event north of the border in remarkable fashion, with ticket sales hitting 9,000 with days still to go until fight night. The extraordinary demand demonstrates the huge appetite for bare knuckle boxing in Scotland and the pulling power of hometown favorite Weir, with the OVO Hydro now set for one of the loudest and most passionate atmospheres in BKFC’s UK history. Remaining tickets may be purchased in advance online at BKFC.com.

Leigh Cohoon arrives in Glasgow with a 4-1 BKFC record and a reputation as one of the most dangerous finishers in the UK, with all four of his wins coming by stoppage inside three rounds. His only defeat came on the scorecards against hot prospect George Thorpe. After contesting his first two BKFC bouts at light heavyweight and his last three at middleweight, Cohoon now moves back up with a title on the line against Weir, who is coming off a first-round knockout of Matty Hodgson in Newcastle in March.

BKFC-96 will be streamed live internationally as part of the BKFC+ Subscription for $7.99 per month on the BKFCApp with the prelims starting at 6:00 p.m. GMT / 1:00 p.m. EST / 10:00 a.m. PST and the main card at 7:00 p.m. GMT / 2:00 p.m. EST / 11:00 a.m. PST.
