December 6, 2024 – The 13th edition of Red Owl Boxing’s BOXFEST will return on Friday the 13th, a week from today, with a stacked event which will stream live on DAZN globally in more than 200 territories and regions from the state-of-the-art “Owl’s Nest” in Houston. The action begins around the world at 9 pm ET/8 pm CT.

BOXFEST XIII will be headlined by an eight-round fight between Marquis Taylor (17-1-2, 3 KOs) and Ivan Pandzic (15-2-1, 9 KOs) in the middleweight division. Both fighters are coming off impressive stoppage victories. Taylor, 31, bested a battle-tested veteran Roberto Garcia in August while Pandzic, 33, is fresh off a dominating first-round knockout in September.

The undercard features four undefeated fighters who are returning to fight at Red Owl Boxing’s Owl’s Nest, which has become the premier destination for up-and-coming fighters in 2024.

In the co-main event, undefeated Oscar Alan Perez (11-0-2, 7 KOs) will face Cristian Medina Garcia (8-1-1, 5 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight bout. Born and raised in Houston, Perez has earned three victories in his hometown in 2024 while Garcia is making his U.S. debut in hopes to beat the fourth undefeated fighter of his pro career. Also returning to the Owl’s Nest is fast-rising prospect Bre’yon Gorham (17-0, 14 KOs) who takes on Alan Ayala (11-4, 7 KOs) in a junior welterweight fight scheduled for eight rounds. With two dominating victories in 2024 with Red Owl Boxing, Gorham is seeking another victory to close out the year and insert himself into the world title picture at 140 pounds in 2025.

Houston’s own Giovanni Marquez (11-0, 6 KOs) will take another step up in competition when he faces Cristian Dominguez (13-6, 6 KOs). This will mark the fourth time the 23-year-old phenom has fought at the Owl’s Nest, and the third time in 2024, making the son of former world champion Raul Marquez one of the most active prospects to compete at the arena.

Opening the night of action on DAZN, Troy Nash, Jr. (2-0) will face David De Leon, who will make his pro debut in Houston. Nash, 19, will return to Red Owl Boxing following his shutout victory in May over undefeated featherweight Roman Reyes.

Red Owl Boxing owns and operates the state-of-the-art sports performance facility which features seating for more than 1,500 with a modern flare that includes VIP experiences and unique ringside seating. The “Owl’s Nest” is a full-service hospitality venue with high-end sound, lighting and screens for a premier in-arena experience. The venue is outfitted with cutting-edge production for seamless streaming and television presentations.
