Derek Chisora isn’t done yet. The popular British heavyweight warrior won a hotly contested 12-round unanimous decision over Otto Wallin in front of a raucous crowd at The Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.
Chisora was in the face of Wallin from the opening bell. He landed some wild haymaker shots that seemed to have Wallin off his game. Wallin did well to land in between, but there were much fewer and far in between.
In round five, Chisora was cut bad both above and below his right eye.
Despite the blood, in round nine, Chisora landed a hard right hand in the corner that Wallin on the canvas. The battled to the closing bell.
Chisora, 259 lbs won by scores of 117-109, 116–110 and 114-112 and is now 36-13. Wallin of Sweden is now 27-3-0-1.
Sofiane Khati stopped Nathan Heaney in round seven of their 10-round middleweight bout.
In round five, Heanery was cut over his left eye.
In round seven, Khati landed a flush left and followed with a hard right that put Heaney on the deck. Heaney spit out his mouthpiece to buy some time. Moments later, Heaney ate a big left hook on the ropes and the fight was stopped at 1:08.
Khati, 159 lbs of France is 18-5 with seven knockouts. Heaney, 159 lbs of Stafford, ENG is 18-2-1.
Jack Rafferty broke down Reece McMillian en-route to a seventh round stoppage in a 12-round junior weterweight bout.
In round six, McMillian began to bleed around his right eye. Rafferty ramped up the pressure in round seven as he landed a hard flurry of punches and the corner of McMillian threw in the towel at 1:37.
Rafferty, 139 lbs of Manchester is 25-0 with 16 knockouts. McMillian, 139 lbs is 17-2.
Zach Parker won a 10-round unanimous decision over Mickeal Diallo in a light heavyweight bput.
In round four, Diallo was cut around his right eye from am accidental headbutt.
In round eight, Parker was cut around his left eye.
Parker, 173 lbs won by scores of 98-92, 98-93 and 97-94 and is now 26-1. Diallo, 174 lbs of France is 21-2-2.
Zak Miller won a 12-round majority decision over previously undefeated Masoud Abdulah to win the British and Commonwealth featherweight titles.
In round nine, Miller was cut over his left eye.
Miller, 125 lbs of Manchester, ENG won by scores of 115-113, 115-114 and 114-114 and is now 16-1. Abdulah, 125 lbs of London is 11-1.
Lewis Williams won a four-round decision over Christian Uwaka in a heavyweight bout.
Williams, 230 lbs of Lennington Spa, ENG won by a 40-36 score and is now 2-0. Uwaka, 219 lbs of Portsmouth, ENG is 1-5.
