BROOKLYN – February 27, 2025 – Rising welterweight contender David Whitmire will duel fellow unbeaten Angel Munoz in a six-round clash that will serve as the co-main event of the PBC on Prime Video show taking place Saturday, March 1 and leading up to the PBC Pay-Per-View event on Prime Video headlined by boxing superstar Gervonta “Tank” Davis defending his WBA Lightweight World Championship against unbeaten WBA Super Featherweight World Champion Lamont Roach from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Kicking off the three-fight PBC on Prime Video show will be lightweight Deric Davis stepping in against Jamal Johnson in a four-round contest.

The PBC on Prime Video presentation will begin at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT and is topped by former unified 154-pound world champion “Swift” Jarrett Hurd taking on hard-hitting Johan Gonzalez in a 10-round middleweight affair. The streaming fights will be available via free access to all fans, regardless of Prime membership or purchase of the PPV card it leads into.

These fights lead into a stacked PBC Pay-Per-View event on Prime Video that features four title showdowns as PPV undercard matchups will see WBA Super Lightweight World Champion José “Rayo” Valenzuela take on hard-hitting top contender Gary Antuanne Russell in the co-main event, WBC Super Lightweight World Champion Alberto Puello defending his title against top-rated mandatory challenger Sandor Martín, and rising star Yoenis Téllez facing former unified world champion Julian “J-Rock” Williams for the Interim WBA Super Welterweight Title to kick off the pay-per-view at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

In addition to the PPV being available for purchase on Prime Video in the US, UK and Canada — regardless of Prime membership — fans will also be able to continue to access the telecast through traditional cable and satellite outlets as well as PPV.com. 

The non-televised undercard will also include top prospects as super welterweight Dwyke Flemmings Jr. (9-0, 9 KOs) battles Florent Dervis (10-2, 5 KO) in a six-round attraction and Brooklyn’s Cristian Cangelosi (9-0, 5 KOs) in an eight-round super welterweight matchup against Jarrod Tennant (9-3, 4 KOs).

**DAVID WHITMIRE VS. ANGEL MUNOZ**

Whitmire (8-0, 6 KO) of Washington DC turned pro in 2023 at just 17 years old. The young talent has beaten everyone in his path so far, stopping six of his eight opponents, but Munoz will likely be his toughest professional test to date.

The southpaw Munoz (7-0, 5 KO) from Oceanside, CA has also shown his power having knocked out five of his seven professional opponents, and he’ll undoubtedly look to score a sixth stoppage on March 1.

**DERIC DAVIS VS. JAMAL JOHNSON**

Fighting out of Fort Washington, MD, Davis (5-0, 5 KO) has gotten off to a fast start professionally, knocking out all five of his opponents. Davis will look keep the knockout streak going when he faces Johnson.

Baltimore’s Johnson (2-0, 1 KO) will enter the ring for the first time in nearly two years when he squares off against Davis. Having turned pro in August 2022, Johnson won his debut by unanimous decision. He followed that up with a knockout in his second pro bout in March 2023. Johnson will aim to settle back into his fighting groove quickly as he faces a difficult test in Davis.
