Las Vegas – UFC® today announced that former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s Modern Wing as a member of the Class of 2026. The 2026 UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place this summer.

“Demetrious Johnson is the greatest flyweight of all-time,” said UFC President & CEO Dana White. “Demetrious was a great champion who had one of the most incredible careers in MMA, and his streak of 11 consecutive title defenses is one of the most remarkable records we’ve ever seen in professional sports. It will be an honor to induct him into the UFC Hall of Fame this summer.”

Johnson will enter the UFC Hall of Fame as the 18th member of the Modern Wing. The Modern Era category includes athletes who turned pro on or after November 17, 2000, when the first UFC event under the unified rules of MMA was held. Other requirements include a minimum age of 35 or those who have been retired for one year or more.
A veteran of 30 fights during his 14-year MMA career, Johnson compiled a record of 25-4,1 Draw (17-3,1 Draw – UFC / WEC), securing victories over former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres, former RIZIN flyweight champion Kyoji Horiguchi, former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo, and former Pancrase flyweight tournament winner Yuya Wakamatsu.

After winning his first nine (9) amateur MMA fights with various promotions, Johnson made his professional debut on August 15, 2009, securing his first win via submission at King of the Cage: Thunderstruck. He would then join Alaska Fighting Championship and win his next two fights before joining WEC®.

Johnson made his WEC debut on the prelims of WEC® 48: ALDO vs. FABER, which took place on April 24, 2010, at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. He would lose his debut to Brad Pickett via decision but bounce back to win his next four fights across WEC / UFC to earn his first title shot against then-champion Dominick Cruz.

Johnson faced Cruz in the main event of UFC LIVE: CRUZ vs. JOHNSON, which took place on October 1, 2011, at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Cruz would retain his title by defeating Johnson via unanimous decision.

After competing to a draw against Ian McCall in his next fight, Johnson would rebound in his rematch with McCall by defeating him via unanimous decision. With the win, Johnson advanced to face Joseph Benavidez in the UFC flyweight tournament finale at UFC 152.

UFC® 152: JONES vs. BELFORT took place on September 22, 2012, at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Johnson faced Benavidez in the co-main event, capturing the split decision victory and becoming the inaugural UFC flyweight champion.

As UFC flyweight champion, Johnson would embark on a record-breaking winning streak, securing 11 consecutive victories and title defenses over the next four years, securing his place on the list of greatest MMA athletes in history.

On August 4, 2018, Johnson would lose his first fight in five years via split decision to Henry Cejudo in the co-main event of UFC®227: DILLASHAW vs. GARBRANDT 2.

Following his loss, he would leave UFC and sign with ONE Championship, an MMA promotion based in Singapore. He would win five of his next six fights with ONE, capturing the flyweight world grand prix title and becoming the organization’s flyweight champion with one successful defense. He retired on May 5, 2023, and vacating the title after a successful defense.

The Miami fighter only needed 67 seconds to roll through Coulter, who entered fight night with a bare-knuckle fighting record of 2-1.

Perdomo, the #1 ranked contender in the BKFC heavyweight division, took aim at BKFC World Heavyweight Champion Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski before the two undefeated heavyweights faced off in the middle of the ring. “Arlovski, where are you? Come at me, boy! Don’t be scared. Come on, papi. (The belt) is mine. It’s mine, and everybody knows it!”

Cuban-born Miami fighter Bryan “El Gallo” Duran needed just 19 seconds to steamroll Derek “Rage” Perez in Friday’s Featured Fight. The former BKFC World Featherweight Title challenger is no

8-1-1 and entered fight night as the #5 ranked contender in the BKFC featherweight division. Perez, who hails from Belem, NM, is now 4-5.

Duran reinforced his BKFC World Featherweight Title aspirations in his post-fight interview: “I apologize for letting you guys down (in my first BKFC title fight against Stewart). But I promise you that when I fight for the belt again, I’m bringing it home to Miami!”

Here are some highlights from BKFC Founder/President David Feldman’s post-event press conference.

Fight of the Night: Kai Stewart vs. Nico Gaffie

Knockout of the Night: Bryan Duran

Performance of the Night: Jancarlos Rivera

On BKFC 87: “We asked the guys to come fight, and they came to fight tonight. This was the liveliest crowd we’ve had in a long time. The energy out there was amazing. It was a great night; I’m very, very happy with the event.”

On Kai Stewart’s next fight: “We have to think about what’s next. What do the fans want? I’m always with what the fans want. It’s not always about the rankings. If the fans don’t want it and don’t enjoy it … I’ve got to give the fans what they want.”

On Leonardo Perdomo’s performance: “He came in in great shape and got the first-round knockout. I think this was the most devastating he’s looked. His punches were shorter and he came out and scored a really, really great knockout against a tough veteran.”

Anderson, IN strawweight Shelby “Boom Boom” Cannon earned the biggest win of her career as she defeated the previously unbeaten Rosalinda “Venom” Rodriguez via split decision. Two judges scored the bout in favor of Cannon (48-46, 49-45) and one judge had it 49-46 for Rodriguez. Cannon is now 2-1, while the Fort Lauderdale, FL product Rodriguez falls to 3-1 with the loss. Rodriguez entered fight night as the #4 ranked contender in the BKFC women’s flyweight division.

Miami’s Leo “Lionheart” Carrera won his light-heavyweight fight with UFC vet Sabah “Sleek Sheik” Homasi after Homasi was disqualified in the second round for landing an illegal spinning back fist. Time of the stoppage was 1:06 in the second stanza. Carrera improved to 3-2 with the victory, while the Coconut Creek, FL fighter Homasi is now 1-2.

Johannesburg, South African cruiserweight Jeremy “Pitbull” Smith dug deep to earn a split-decision victory at the expense of former BKFC World Middleweight Title challenger Donald Sanchez in their hotly anticipated rematch. Smith improved to 4-3 with the victory, and 2-0 against Sanchez. The Albuquerque, NM fighter Sanchez dropped to 4-3 with the loss and announced his retirement shortly after his fight.

Charleston, SC’s Roberto “El Gallo Negro” Armas rose to the occasion in his 10th BKFC bout, halting the rise of the previously undefeated AJ “The Biggest” Rodriguez in bantamweight action. Rodriguez’s corner called a stop to the bout at the conclusion of the third round. Armas is now 5-5 following his stoppage victory. The Venezuelan-born Miami product Rodriguez is now 3-1.

Unbeaten Fort Myers, FL bantamweight Jancarlos “Baby Hulk” Rivera smashed his way to 3-0 with a first-round stoppage over Samuel “Ace O’ Spades” Samples in their bantamweight showdown. Rivera picked himself up off the canvas and rallied for the stoppage with just one second left in the opening round. That’s now back-to-back, first-round finishes for Rivera, while the Madison County, GA fighter Samples is now 3-5.

Clewiston, FL product Chris “Dynamite” Garcia cruised to 6-1 with a second-round stoppage over Chancey “Supaflyy” Wilson — his second straight stoppage victory. Garcia logged a pair of knockdowns before the contest was stopped 19 seconds into the second stanza. Wilson, who represents Wichita, KS, is now 3-6 under the BKFC banner.

With BKFC Women’s World Strawweight Champion Britain Hart in his corner,  Broward County, FL’s Chino Blume edged out Alex “The Rhino” Davis for a hard-fought, split-decision victory in heavyweight action. Two judges scored the fight 30-27 for Blume, and one judge scored the contest 30-27 for Davis. Blume is now 2-2 on the strength of back-to-back wins. Davis, who hails from Coal Mountain, WV, is now 1-3.

Cuban-born Miami product Ernesto “Las Manos Benditas” Suarez cruised to 2-0 under the BKFC banner after sending “Slick” Vic Flor to the canvas three times in the opening round of their bantamweight matchup. NATE DIAZ VS. MIKE PERRY JOIN MOST VALUABLE PROMOTIONS’ MASSIVE TRIPLE-HEADLINER PROFESSIONAL MMA EVENT ON SATURDAY, MAY 16, 2026, AT INTUIT DOME IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, LIVE GLOBALLY ONLY ON NETFLIX

LOS ANGELES, CA – March 16, 2026 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Netflix today announced that combat sports icon Nate Diaz (22-13, 14 Submissions, 4 KOs) will face the “King of Violence” Mike Perry (14-8, 11 KOs) in a highly anticipated professional MMA bout as part of a massive triple-headliner event taking place Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. The bout joins the recently announced heavyweight clash between lineal heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou vs. Brazil’s Philippe Lins and the historic women’s main event between former UFC champion and Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey vs. combat sports trailblazer Gina Carano. The event will stream live globally only on Netflix at no additional cost to its 325+ million members.

Diaz vs. Perry will be contested under the Unified Rules of MMA over five five-minute rounds in the welterweight division at 170lbs. The bout features Nate Diaz, one of the most resilient and iconic figures in fight history, taking on Mike Perry, one of the most dangerous men in combat sports today. Known as two of the toughest and most fearless competitors in the sport, Diaz and Perry bring contrasting styles and relentless pressure to what promises to be one of the most chaotic and fan-friendly fights on the card.

The blockbuster triple-headliner marks a major moment in combat sports as MVP and Netflix expand their footprint into MMA following the historic success of their global boxing events. The addition of Diaz vs. Perry alongside Ngannou vs. Lins and Rousey vs. Carano brings together some of the most recognizable and dangerous fighters in the sport and features the most star power ever assembled on a single MMA fight card.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com. The event will also feature the return of MVP’s exclusive VIP experiences, including the MVP Owner’s Experience™.

No single fighter has captured the imagination of combat sports quite like Stockton, California’s finest Nate Diaz. He is the embodiment of a real fighter who defines a generation a raw blend of attitude, perseverance, conviction, and pure skill where he has changed the game both in and outside the cage. His rivalry with Conor McGregor remains the biggest in MMA history, shattering box office and pay-per-view records across the board, and as the A-Side against Jorge Masvidal bringing out the first sitting President of the United States to a UFC event.  Diaz is the Baddest MotherFucker in the game whose post UFC career has seen him launch the combat sports promotion, Real Fight, Inc and where he fought before sold out crowds against Jake Paul at Dallas’s American Airlines Center and Masvidal at Anaheim’s Honda Center.

“Glad to be back n action. It’s time,” said Nate Diaz. “Don’t forget where this all came from. I got plans on doing a lot more in the next 10 years, no matter where it is. Time to set the bar again, so get ready for a new takeover again and again until the end of time.”

“Platinum” Mike Perry is one of the most dangerous fighters in combat sports, returns to MMA following his fearsome career across the UFC, Triad Combat, boxing, and bare knuckle boxing. Following his 14-win career in the UFC, boasting 11 wins by knockout, Perry made his Triad Combat debut in November 2021, taking on 27-3, 21 KOs seasoned boxer Michael Seals, demonstrating his ability to handle power punchers and outworking Seals to a split decision victory in the bout. Less than three months later, Perry made his bare knuckle boxing debut with BKFC, securing his first win over Julian Lane in 2022, which he followed with a win over dynamic striker Michael “Venom” Page later that year. Perry’s bout with former UFC champion Luke Rockhold in April 2023 ended decisively with a second-round KO. In his BKFC “King of Violence” title fight in December 2023 against Eddie Alvarez, the first-ever fighter to become a champion in both UFC and Bellator, Perry displayed his vicious power yet again with a second round TKO due to corner stoppage. Perry earned the 2023 Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Male Fighter of the Year and in April 2024, he expanded his undefeated record to 5-0 with a first-round KO of UFC veteran Thiago Alves. After a blockbuster boxing bout against Jake Paul in 2024, he most recently returned to bare knuckle and defeated Jeremy Stephens by TKO in October 2025.

”The King of Violence returns to MMA to elbow his opponent in the fucking face,” said Mike Perry. “Saturday, May 16th, on Netflix, Nate Diaz is going lights out.”

“MVP delivered the most-viewed boxing event since the advent of cable, and now we’re set to break records again with the biggest viewership in MMA history with the addition of Diaz vs Perry to Rousey vs Carano and Ngannou vs Lins,” said Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions. Nate Diaz is the Real BMF, and Mike Perry is the King of Violence – this will be a war from the first press conference all the way to the end when one of them has their hand raised. It’s an absolutely massive night of fights in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 16th, as we continue building some of the biggest global events in combat sports. Thank you to Netflix for believing in our vision. The future of MMA is bright.

BKB BARE KNUCKLE BOXING ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF FORMER WORLD TITLE CHALLENGER JOHN MOLINA JR TO ADD TO STACKED ROSTER

Los Angeles, California, USA – March 10, 2026 – BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing, the world’s

leading and fastest-growing professional bare knuckle organization, today announced the

signing of fan-favorite power-puncher John Molina Jr. (30-9, 24 KOs) in a multi-fight, multi-year agreement. The hard-hitting former world title challenger, nicknamed “The Gladiator,” will bring his relentless aggression, knockout power, and proven warrior spirit to the bare knuckle trigon, making his highly anticipated debut in the coming months as he targets BKB world championship glory.

This landmark signing further highlights the unstoppable momentum of BKB, which continues to attract decorated gloved boxers and deliver high-stakes, action-packed events. The promotion has welcomed stars like Olympic gold medalist and former multi-weight world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa, and former world champions Victor Ortiz and Lee Selby to the bare knuckle ranks, whilst former gloved world champion Paulie Malignaggi is currently preparing to become a two-sport world champion as he faces reigning BKB super welterweight world champion in Manchester on Saturday 16th May 2026.

Molina Jr., a standout at super lightweight and welterweight, compiled an impressive

professional record of 30 wins (24 by KO), 9 losses over a career spanning 2006 to 2019. He challenged for major world titles and shared the ring with elite opponents including Adrien Broner, Terence Crawford, Ruslan Provodnikov, and others, earning a reputation as one of boxing’s most entertaining and courageous fighters. Known for his all-action style and willingness to go to war, Molina retired in 2019 after a decorated run and transitioned to a proud career in law enforcement.

Now actively serving as a police officer, Molina’s return to fighting is fueled by an enduring love for competition, the itch to compete again, and the perfect fit of bare knuckle’s raw intensity with his no-retreat approach. After years away from the ring, he sees BKB as the ideal platform to scratch that itch, chase a new legacy, and potentially cross paths with fellow PBC alumni like Paulie Malignaggi and Victor Ortiz.

John Molina Jr. said:“I had a great career, being a fighter for 13 years professionally, and I

didn’t wanna be one of these guys that accomplished all these accolades in boxing and then

was, ‘What else do I do with myself?’ So I went out and became a cop, which was a great

choice. I wanted a career I can be proud of. Being a cop, our fight or flight is second to none,

and there’s a lot of reactions that need to be made and that’s right up my alley.”

“I’m at the age where it’s kind of like, excuse my language, but s***, or get off the pot kind of

moment for me. This is the time and I feel young enough to still do it and anxious to get out

there and showcase my abilities. You know, to be honest with you, if this would’ve happened

when I was early on in my career, who’s to say I wouldn’t go bare knuckle given and – with the triangular ring? Not very much room to dance.”

“We’re gonna get right to business. So it works out perfect. It lends itself perfectly to someone with my style. And then when I started seeing other names like Paulie and Victor, who we were together under the same banner of PBC, I think it’s gonna be a good fit for all of us to get out there and showcase our abilities.”

“My legacy is to be a champion in the sport of bare knuckle boxing and for people to say, ‘Hey,he fought the best of the best and was considered one of the most entertaining fighters in the world during his era of fighting.’ Now I’m gonna take it over to bare knuckle boxing to be a champion in my respective weight class. And who knows? Maybe we crossed the bridge with Paulie. Maybe we cross the bridge with Victor. I think that can be explosive. But first things first, let’s get to the first one and get onto the next. If you guys ever seen my fights in the past, you guys will definitely see I’m ready to go to war. I like it. That’s what we expect.”

Mike Vazquez, Founder of BKB Bare Knuckle, said:“John Molina Jr. is a true warrior with an incredible resume of battles against the best and a fan-favorite style that always delivers excitement. We’re thrilled to have him join our roster. His power, heart, and no-fear mentality will be electric in the trigon.”

David Tetreault, CEO of BKB Bare Knuckle, said: “Adding John Molina Jr. to our lineup is a statement signing. His history of thrilling, high-octane wars against top competition, combined with his knockout power and unbreakable will, makes him a perfect fit for bare knuckle. We’re looking forward to seeing ‘The Gladiator’ bring that same intensity to the trigon in an exciting new chapter for him and for BKB.”

Molina joins an elite and rapidly growing roster of more than 200 fighters from over 30 countries, highlighting BKB’s magnetic pull for boxing’s biggest names seeking the ultimate test in the most primal combat sport. More major announcements are on the horizon as BKB maintains its meteoric rise.

From its origins in 2015 as BYB Extreme Fighting Series, founded by MMA pioneer Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris and Mike Vazquez, BKB has transformed bare knuckle boxing into a regulated, globally broadcast powerhouse through strategic acquisitions—including the original UK-based BKB in 2021 and Bad To The Bone in 2025—and a fighter-first philosophy that emphasizes athlete welfare and opportunity. Landmark broadcast partnerships with talkSPORT (UK and Ireland), VICE (US and Canada), and Telemundo (Spanish-language in the US) have delivered live events to millions worldwide.

Details on Molina’s debut fight and upcoming events will be announced soon. Fans can visit www.bkbbareknuckle.com and follow @bkbbareknuckle for the latest news and information.

Below are quotes from the participants;

David Feldman, BKFC Founder/President

“It’s great to be back here again. Last year we blew the roof off of Wells Fargo Arena, and we’re going to do it again at Xfinity Mobile Arena. We’re going to break the (local, modern day combat sports) record and it’s going to be an unbelievable event.”

“I guarantee you this is the best card we’ve had from top to bottom. I’m very excited for every fight on this card. So many OGs, so many guys that have helped us build BKFC to where it is today. Thank you very much to all the fighters.”

“Big” Ben Rothwell, BKFC Heavyweight World Champion

“The mission is always the same; go out and deliver the most exciting fight possible for the fans. Because of the fans, I get to be out here doing this. When I’m on the card, everyone knows what they’re going to get. I only fight at one speed, and that’s beating your (expletive), and you’re going to see that on Saturday night.”

Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski, BKFC Heavyweight World Title Challenger

“Thank you very much for this great opportunity. I’m very excited to be a part of this event on Saturday, and I’m going to do everything I can to bring home the belt.”

Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt, BKFC Light-Heavyweight World Champion

“I’d like to give the Biggest (expletive) Award to Yoel Romero.”

“David Mundell, your card has been pulled. Your number is up.”

David “Redneck” Mundell, BKFC Middleweight World Champion

“Opportunity came calling and I answered. That’s all it comes down to.”

“Size don’t win fights. Skills do, and I’m way better than he is.”

Johnny “Cannoli” Garbarino Jr.

“I’m going to go right through you, bro. I’m going to smash your face. Put all your money on me, because he’s getting knocked the (expletive) out.”

Kaine “Kaine 9” Tomlinson Jr.

“(Expletive) Philly, like I’ve been saying.”

“I’m going to beat the (expletive) out of you. You don’t stand a chance.”

Ben “The Bomber” Bonner, former BKFC Lightweight World Champion

“Everybody knows that I’m the best lightweight on the planet. I still should be the World Champion. I was robbed. As we sit here today, I am the best lightweight on the planet. If I have to beat Tony Soto again to go take what’s rightfully mine, then that’s exactly what’s going to happen.”

“I battered him all over Texas, and the same thing is going to happen on Saturday.”

Tony “Loco” Soto, former BKFC Lightweight World Title challenger

“There’s not a lot of people that put on fights like I do, straight up. Saturday, I’m going to pick you apart. Whether you want to believe it or not, this is the first time in my career that I’m actually healthy, and that’s dangerous.”

Mike “The Marine” Richman, former BKFC Light-Heavyweight World Champion

“Welcome to the big leagues, Joe. I came back because I like to fight. He’s talking, but when I hit you, you go down. You’re not going to get back up, and I’m going to (expletive) you up.”

Joe “Hitman” Elmore

“I’ve got nothing to lose. I’m two stupid judges from being a BKFC World Champion. I’ve got a Champion that has everything to lose. He has two World Championships, and I’m just a savage jumping up a weight class. He’s beaten the (expletive) out of everyone, but I’m not scared one bit. I’m excited.”

Jade “Evil Smile” Masson-Wong, former BKFC Women’s Flyweight Title challenger

“It’s been five years, so we’ve both improved a lot since then. It’s going to be a war because we both love to go to war. We’re not scared.”

Crystal “Rugged Beauty” Pittman

“Five years was a very long time ago. We both like to go to war, and we’re going to do it again. It’s going to be very exciting.”

Patrick “The Brick” Brady

“My hands turn into bricks, and I plan on busting a brick on Bear Hill’s head on Saturday night. Knuckles to head.”

Pat “The Irishman” Sullivan

“It’s an honor to fight him. I’m going to punch his teeth in, and I’ll buy him new teeth after.”

“Felony” Charles Bennett

“I’ve been doing this for 25 years and nobody has taken these pretty gold teeth yet.”

“Don’t overextend; I’m touching that chin.”

Cody Russell

“Everyone in this sport is dangerous. I respect my opponent, but I asked for this fight. I asked for it because I want to make my mark in this division. Last year I showed that I belong on this stage, and this year I’m going to start taking names, and I’m going to show that on Saturday night.”

Lex “The Grizzly Bear” Ludlow

“On Saturday night, I’m going to knock Zach Calmus out and put him back where he belongs, on the streets of Boston.”

Zedekiah “King” Montanez

“Last fight I winged it with my MMA training, but I’ve been locked in the boxing gym, so I’m just excited to right my wrong and come out Saturday night and be victorious.”

Prince Nyseam

“I appreciate this opportunity to put on a show, man. Coming from where I come from, I’m just excited to put on a show. Every single time I’m coming for Fight of the Night.”

OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST AND FORMER WORLD CHAMPION YURIORKIS GAMBOA SIGNS WITH BKB BARE KNUCKLE IN LANDMARK DEAL

Miami, FL – February 3, 2026 – BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing, the world’s leading and fastest-growing professional bare knuckle organization, today announced the marquee signing in a multi-fight, multi-year deal, of Yuriorkis Gamboa, the Cuban sensation renowned for his explosive power and decorated career in gloved boxing. Gamboa, an Olympic gold medalist and multi-weight world champion, will make his bare knuckle debut with BKB in the coming months, setting his sights on capturing the world championship and cementing his legacy in the rawest, most explosive, and most entertaining combat sport.

Gamboa, nicknamed “El Ciclon de Guantanamo” for his whirlwind style, brings an incredible level of prestige to BKB. As the 2004 Olympic gold medalist in the flyweight division, he represented Cuba on the global stage before pursuing a professional career that spanned from 2007 to 2022.

As a professional, Gamboa (30-5, 18 KOs) held the WBA featherweight world title from 2009 – 2011, before unifying it with the IBF world title from 2010 – 2011, when he became the first-ever Cuban boxer to claim an IBF world title. He also held WBA interim world titles in the super featherweight and lightweight divisions, and challenged pound-for-pound stars, and future hall-of-famers in the likes of Terence Crawford, Devin Haney, Gervonta Davis, and Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, for world titles in the light weight division.

Terence Crawford has repeatedly named Gamboa as the hardest-hitting opponent he has ever faced, stating that Gamboa “caught me with the hardest punch” and describing the fight as one of the toughest in his career.

Gamboa’s decision to join BKB Bare Knuckle was sparked by his attendance at BKB 50, where he was taken aback by the massive scale of the event, the electric atmosphere, and the professional production. Impressed by the energy and the fighter-first environment, he expressed his desire to sign immediately, eager to compete under the premier bare knuckle promotion.

Olympic Gold Medalist, Yuriorkis Gamboa, said: “Bare knuckle boxing is the oldest form of boxing. After winning an Olympic gold medal, world championships in boxing, now I’m focused and excited to become BKB Bare Knuckle World Champion. I’m going to showcase my skills and show why I belong at the very top of this sport.”

Mike Vazquez, Founder of BKB Bare Knuckle, said: “It’s an honour to welcome Yurorkis to bare knuckle, and I can’t wait to see his skills and pedigree on display in the trigon. We’ve got some incredible Cuban fighters on our roster, including our heavyweight world champion. This year we’re going to see more and more elite fighters join our global roster of over 200 fighters from over 30 countries.”

David Tetreault, CEO of BKB Bare Knuckle, said: “Yuriorkis Gamboa is a game-changer for BKB. His Olympic pedigree, world titles, and battles against the best in boxing make this our most significant signing yet. We’re thrilled to welcome him as he chases bare knuckle immortality.”

Gamboa joins an elite roster that includes fellow world champion boxer Paulie Malignaggi, who successfully transitioned to bare knuckle with BKB, delivering a thrilling, vintage performance in his Fight of the Night return at BKB 47 against Tyler Goodjohn. Malignaggi will face reigning champion Rolando Dy for the BKB Super Welterweight World Championship in Manchester on Saturday 16th May 2026.

This latest marquee signing further showcases BKB’s appeal to boxing legends seeking new challenges in a sport that demands unfiltered grit and determination. More major signings are set to be announced in the coming months.

This latest milestone moment for BKB underscores its status as the key force driving bare knuckle boxing forward. From its origins in 2015 as BYB Extreme Fighting Series, founded by MMA pioneer Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris and Mike Vazquez, BKB has transformed the sport from backyard roots into a structured, regulated, and globally distributed professional powerhouse.

Through strategic acquisitions, including the original UK-based BKB in 2021 and Bad To The Bone in 2025, the promotion has built the best stable in the sport, and pioneered the growth of bare knuckle boxing globally. Embracing a fighter-first philosophy that prioritizes athlete welfare, development, and opportunity, BKB has secured landmark broadcast deals with talkSPORT (exclusive in the UK and Ireland), VICE (US and Canada), and Telemundo (Spanish-language in the US), delivering live events to millions and attracting the biggest global audiences in the sport’s history.

Details on Gamboa’s debut fight and upcoming events will be announced soon. Fans can visit www.bkbbareknuckle.com and follow @bkbbareknuckle for latest news and information.

LORENZO HUNT VS. DAVID MUNDELL NEW CO-MAIN EVENT AT KNUCKLEMANIA VI — YOEL ROMERO BOWS OUT DUE TO ILLNESS

Philadelphia, PA (January 27, 2026) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), The World’s Fastest Growing Combat Sports Promotion, has announced a new co-main event for

KnuckleMania VI with BKFC Fighting Legend and Light Heavyweight World Champion Lorenzo ‘The Juggernaut’ Hunt, (12-2), of Jacksonville, FL now facing BKFC Pound-for-Pound #1 Ranked and Middleweight World Champion David ‘The Redneck’ Mundell, (10-1), of Dunedin, FL in a non-title catchweight battle at 199lbs.

Due to his falling ill, Yoel Romero will not be competing at KnuckleMania VI in his previously announced fight with Lorenzo Hunt.

The highly anticipated KnuckleMania VI event is set for Saturday, February 7, 2026 emanating from the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

On January 25, 2025, BKFC’s KnuckleMania V event set a local, modern day combat sports attendance record of 17,762. Remaining tickets for KnuckleMania VI can be purchased online at BKFC.com.

“It’s unfortunate that Yoel Romero has taken ill and is unable to compete at KnuckleMania VI,” said David Feldman, Founder and President of BKFC. “However, Lorenzo Hunt versus David Mundell is an iconic clash between two of the very best bare-knuckle fighters in the world and two of the most accomplished in our company. Fans should expect an explosive battle with fireworks from the opening bell.”

Said Lorenzo Hunt about the new matchup, “I’m pissed that Yoel Romero chickened out of the fight at the last minute. But in honesty, he was a fool to accept the fight with me in the first place in his golden years. I heard somewhere that Cuba has free medical care. He was gonna need it. I honestly don’t care who they put in there with me. It’s my time. I am the best bare-knuckle fighter in the world, anyone who stands across from me at this point in my life will be hospitalized, I guarantee it.”

“Lorenzo Hunt has made a career out of talking, I’ve made a career out of stopping people,” said David Mundell. “KnuckleMania VI is the perfect stage to remind everyone why I’m the Middleweight Champion and the pound-for-pound best in BKFC. Expect violence!

Stated Yoel Romero, “Unfortunately I have to withdraw from my scheduled fight against Lorenzo Hunt at KnuckleMania VI due to a very strong strain of the flu. During my weight cut for RAF I felt my immune system was low and I was feeling very weak.  A few days after my January 10th RAF match I started to experience severe flu symptoms. I am extremely disappointed but I’ve been unable to train and I need to make my health a priority. I look forward to returning to action to face Lorenzo Hunt at a later date.”

                                                ——————————————–

Lorenzo ‘The Juggernaut’ Hunt, (12-2), of Jacksonville, FL. won his third BKFC World Title, recapturing the light-heavyweight title in remarkable fashion against champion Josh Dyer on November 15, 2025. Hunt, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest bare-knuckle fighters of all time, picked himself up off the canvas twice and rallied for the jaw-dropping knockout with just one second remaining in the opening round of his highly anticipated rematch with Dyer. Hunt and Dyer first met at BKFC 17 in 2021, with Hunt winning by technical knockout in the fifth round.
