The entire fight night will be broadcast live on BILD’s digital platform, BILDplus, bringing the action to viewers across Germany and beyond.

For the first time, this legendary venue on the banks of the River Elbe – better known for its seafood heritage – will host flying fists in the ring, combining elite world-class action with premium hospitality in an exclusive setting. BEVERLY, MA — CES Boxing brings championship boxing back to the iconic North Shore Music Theater on Saturday, March 28 with North Shore Knock Out, a sensational six-bout card featuring two North America Boxing Federation (NABF) title fights, an explosive New England lightweight showdown, and several of the region’s most promising young stars.

London, March 2nd: His Excellency Turki Alalshikh and Ring Magazine announce the
stacked undercard for Fury vs Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday
April 11th, to be streamed live on Netflix.

The main card will be co-headlined by Conor Benn (24-1-0) and two-time former world
champion Regis Prograis (30-3-0).

Benn returns to North London, where he recently defeated Chris Eubank Jr in their
second bout, looking to make another statement against the experienced and explosive
Prograis.

Benn said: “April 11th can’t come soon enough, returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
again, where I made history against Eubank Jr means everything to me. My last fight there

showed the world exactly who I am and what I’m about. Fighting on the biggest stages, in
the biggest shows, I fear no one! I’m fully locked in and ready to deliver another statement
performance.”

Prograis said, “Last time I fought in London, Conor Benn was on my undercard, so this is
a full-circle moment for me. But this circle will close with me teaching him a lesson on
April 11th. He’s not fighting some weight-drained super middleweight. I am in shape and
will bring home this victory.”

British Heavyweight Champion Jeamie TKV (9-2-0) defends his title against Richard
“The Midnight Train” Riakporhe (19-1-0) in the first all-British bout of the night.
Riakporhe has fourteen stoppages to his name and most recently defeated Tommy Welch
on the Eubank Benn II undercard, while TKV enters off the back of his victory over Frazer
Clarke.

Rounding off the main fight card, Frazer Clarke (9-2-1) takes on highly regarded
Australian contender Justis Huni (12-1-0), with both heavyweights looking to bounce
back from their most recent defeats. Clarke’s was a split decision loss to Jeamie TKV,
while Huni suffered a tenth-round knockout defeat to Fabio Wardley in June 2025.
Huni said: “I’m truly honoured to be fighting in London on such a huge card headlined by
Tyson Fury. The UK has a proud boxing tradition, and it means a lot to perform in front of
these fans. April 11 is another important step in my journey, and I’m coming to deliver a
strong performance and show I belong at the very top.”

Ahead of the main card, six preliminary fights will be streamed on The Ring’s YouTube

The first contest in the prelims features Troy Williamson (22-4-1) and Simon
Zachenhuber (28-0-0).

Williamson said: “Fighting in a UK stadium, on an undercard of Tyson Fury, and to be part
of an event run by Turki and his team, motivates me more than I have ever been before in
my career, I’m looking forward to putting on a show for everybody involved.”

Felix Cash (16-1-0) returns to the ring for the first time since his last fight in the summer
of 2024, where he was defeated by Tyler Denny in a fifth-round stoppage. Facing him is
Liam O’Hare (13-2-0) who is stepping up to try and secure the biggest win of his career.
In the third all-British clash of the night, Elliot Whale (13-0-0) will look to defend his
undefeated professional record against Tom Hill (12-4-0).

In a high-octane clash of firepower, Chinese standout De-Kang Wang successfully defended his WBA Asia super bantamweight title with an eleventh-round technical knockout over Filipino challenger Herlan Gómez. The bout, staged Thursday, February 26 in Wenshan, China, shaped up as one of the fiercest matchups on the Asian calendar so far this year.

In a triumphant and explosive return, two-time Argentine Olympian Yamil Peralta claimed the WBA Fedelatin cruiserweight championship with a devastating knockout of Venezuela’s Juan Díaz. The featured attraction Saturday, February 28 at Casino Buenos Aires, as part of the WBA Future program, ended abruptly in the second round.

Peralta established his class and reach advantage from the outset. Working behind a sharp jab and smart lateral movement, he neutralized any offensive ambition from Díaz, nicknamed “El Noqueador.” The Argentine controlled the tempo with poise and authority, dictating the range without absorbing significant return fire.

The ending came with less than a minute remaining in the second stanza. Peralta uncorked a thunderous left hook to the liver that left Díaz gasping for air and collapsing to his knees. With the Venezuelan unable to beat the count, referee Emiliano D’Avila waved it off, sealing the knockout victory.

JAHI TUCKER HEADLINES WITH SIXTH ROUND STOPPAGE

In the 10-round middleweight main event, Deer Park’s Jahi Tucker faced St. Paul’s Sona Akale in a high-energy contest from the opening bell.

Both fighters were willing to exchange early, with Tucker showcasing crisp combinations and Akale firing back with looping shots. Tucker was deducted a point in the third round for low blows but continued pressing the action at a relentless pace.

In the sixth round, Tucker unleashed a sustained flurry that forced referee Arthur Mercante Jr. to step in and stop the contest at 1:18 of Round 6 as Akale was backed to the ropes. Akale protested, but the stoppage stood. With the victory, Tucker improves to 16-1-1 (7 KOs). Akale falls to 10-5 (5 KOs).

Co-Feature – PETER “VOODOO” LATORRE THRILLS CROWD WITH FIRST ROUND KO

Elmont’s fighting marine veteran Peter “Voodoo” Latorre electrified the building in his Paramount debut against Jose Edgardo Perdomo in a scheduled six-round welterweight bout.

Perdomo entered the contest fresh off a knockout victory over previously undefeated Micky Scala at Rockin’ Fights 52 and was expected to test the undefeated prospect.

Latorre had other plans. Working behind a sharp jab and mixing head and body shots, Latorre trapped Perdomo in the corner and landed a textbook one-two combination that ended the bout instantly. The official time was 1:09 of Round 1. Latorre improves to 6-0 (6 KOs), while Perdomo drops to 10-10 (6 KOs).

PIOTR LACZ OVERCOMES EARLY MOMENT, STOPS VALERA

Heavyweight action followed as Piotr Lacz squared off against Dominique “The Giant Killa” Valera in a scheduled eight-round contest.

Both men came forward at the opening bell exchanging heavy shots. Valera landed a sharp uppercut that briefly stunned the undefeated Polish fighter, but Lacz quickly regained control.

After connecting with a powerful right hand, Lacz forced Valera into the corner and unleashed a barrage. Referee Arthur Mercante Jr. stepped in to stop the bout at 2:08 of Round 1. Valera protested the stoppage, but the result was official. Lacz advances to 15-0-1 (11 KOs). Valera falls to 9-2-2 (5 KOs).

OPENING BOUT: RALP CLEMENTE SETS THE TONE EARLY

Opening the evening, Ronkonkoma’s hard-hitting light heavyweight Ralph “The Great Ape” Clemente wasted no time making an impression in his Paramount debut against Thomas Turner in a scheduled four-round bout.

Turner attempted to establish his jab early, but Clemente walked him down and landed a crushing right hand that sent Turner to the canvas. After Turner beat the count, Clemente delivered a thunderous overhand right that flattened him. The referee waved off the bout at 1:07 of Round 1 as medical personnel immediately attended to Turner. Clemente improves to 3-0 (3 KOs). Turner drops to 1-2.

MEXICO CITY- March 1, 2026 – After careful consideration, the WBC Board of Governors has ruled in favor of sanctioning WBC World Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk’s voluntary title defense against legendary kickboxing Champion Rico Verhoeven.

At its 63rd Annual Convention in Bangkok, Thailand, the WBC granted Champion Usyk a voluntary defense.  Subsequently, the WBC received a petition to sanction the Usyk v. Herhoeven fight as a voluntary defense.

Champion Usyk’s has showcased incredible activity in recent years, facing and defeating champions in his division like Anthony Joshua twice, Tyson Fury twice, and Daniel Dubois twice.  He did all of that while maintaining his undefeated record. In reaching its approval decision, the WBC Board of Governors considered Champion Usyk’s activity, which is unprecedented, especially in the heavyweight division.

 Rico has been competing professionally at an elite kickboxing level since 2005. Over the course of two decades, while maintaining that very highest level of competition, he has established himself as arguably one of the greatest heavyweight kickboxing champions of all time. 

Rico’s professional journey has been exceptional, which includes headlining and selling out major stadium arenas in front of 30,000 and 40,000 spectators worldwide. At 36, he competed in 76 professional kickboxing fights.  Rico just recently vacated the Glory Kickboxing Heavyweight title, going undefeated in 11 years. 

The transition from kickboxing to boxing is not unprecedented. Many Muay Thai athletes have successfully crossed over into professional boxing and competed for WBC titles early in their boxing careers. This WBC decision is within the WBC rules and regulations.

NEW YORK CITY (March 1, 2026) – Social media influencer and pro boxer Brooklyn “The Big Deal” Barwick realized last Thursday night in the Dominican Republic that relying on judges, especially when facing a hometown opponent, is always risky.

In her seventh professional bout, Barwick was handed a questionable loss by way of a six-round decision (59-55, 58-56, 58-56) to Dominican native Grecia Novas Mateo (20-32-4, 10 KOs). The match was for the vacant National Boxing Association (NBA) Female Americas Featherweight Championship and took place at El Polideportivo in Ensanche Isabelita, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

“I stepped into the ring to fight for the title, ready to leave everything I had in the ring,” Barwick explained. “I trained relentlessly, sacrificed, and was prepared to win. I do not agree with the decision. There were multiple shots to the back of my head, excessive holding that went unaddressed, and what I believe was clear favoritism toward the hometown favorite. I’ve watched the fight back and I stand by my performance. I believe that the outcome did not reflect what truly happened in the ring.”

Barwick, 26, from Newport Beach and Laguna Beach but now based in Manhattan (NYC), entered the ring with a 4-0 (4 KOs) pro record, pending official recognition for two additional South American victories.

Barwick attempted to become the first female Jewish professional boxer to capture a pro boxing title. Her father is Jewish, and she is in the process of converting Orthodox Judaism. Barwick is the lone female Jewish professional boxer in the United States and one of only two worldwide.

“I am not making excuses,” Barwick added. “This is boxing, the sport I chose. I don’t fold under pressure, I evolve. I will come back stronger, smarter, and more level-headed. More dangerous, too. This is a journey, not a career-ending moment, or a setback that defines me. You have not seen the last of ‘The Big Deal’ in the ring. This loss does not break me, it builds me.”

Brooklyn trains at the New York City Cops and Kids gym in Brooklyn, under the guidance of trainer Jimmy Sosa, and she is managed by Sullivan Management.

GLENDALE, Ariz. –The blood poured into a right eye. A swelling bruise began to close the left eye. Only the end was easy to see.

Emanuel Navarrete’s punches, long and deadly, bloodied, bruised and busted-up Eduardo Nunez, forcing the ring physician to call an end to the carnage in the first second of the eleventh round Saturday night at Desert Diamond Arena.

Navarrete’s victory proved to be a definitive answer to a growing chorus of critics who believed that the three-division champ was in a steep decline. He’s not. Instead, he’s a unified junior welterweight champion. He took Nunez’ International belt and added it to his World Boxing Organization title.

“I feel like I got back to what it is to be a Mexican warrior,” he said to a roaring crowd after his fourth appearance in the state since 2023.

The only way back to his warrior roots, however, was through a determined challenge from another resilient Mexican. Nunez (29-2, 27 KOs) was a slight favorite. And there were moments when it looked as if he might prevail.

“I want to be champion again,” he said after hugging Navarrete in the center of the ring. “I will continue to learn. 

Nunez’ right eye was cut in the fourth round. From the fifth through about the eighth, however, his power and evident discipline forced Navarrete to retreat.

But his corner stopped the bleeding after the round.  The blood was gone, suddenly and seemingly replaced by a sharper Nunez. He began to find his range. He landed a solid body-to-head combination that backed Navarrete into the ropes. 

The double shot, perfectly executed, seemed to surprise Navarrete, whose loosey-goosey style managed to confuse Nunez over the first two to three rounds. But the combo interrupted Navarrete’s momentum. He hesitated just enough for Nunez to get back into the fight.

Nunez’ power was finding avenues under Navarrete’s long, spaghetti-like arms. First, he targeted Navarrete’s body. Then his head, Navarrete went into reverse. He marched forward in the opening round. He retreated in the seventh. Increasingly, the relentless Ninez was there, his head and face in Navarrete’s chest. In the eighth, Nunez backed  him into the ropes and followed with a succession of head shots that landed with an echo that could be heard above the roar from the crowd. 

In the ninth, the blood started flowing again. A rapid swelling, the color of a purple grape, appeared around the left. Only the end was left.  

Emiliano Vargas prevails in punishing fight

There’s more to Emiliano Vargas than just a pretty face. There’s a mean streak too.He displayed it Saturday in a contentious, bruising stoppage of Augustine Quintana Saturday In a junior-welterweight fight that was a good measure of the young prospect’s chances of fulfilling his potential at Desert Diamond Arena.

“I want to become a world champion in my next fight,” the 21-year-old Vargas said after forcing Quintana’s corner to end it after the ninth round.

In the early rounds, it looked as if Vargas would win easily. In the fifth, however, Quintana (22-3-1, 13 KOs)  suddenly got aggressive. He marched forward, pursuing Vargas and throwing punches at a wild rate and in every direction. One landed low. Then, another. Vargas was in evident pain. The referee called time and warned Quintana.

For a few seconds, Vargas walked it off. The warning, however, changed the fight. It got nasty, borderline ugly. Quintana continued to throw punches, some that repeatedly seemed to land just at or below the beltline. But Vargas didn’t back away. 

Instead, he stood and exchanged shots that echoed throughout the old ice hockey arena. In the eighth, Quintana slipped onto his hands and knees. Vargas looked at him. Actually, he glared and gestured at the Argentine, urging him to get up. No interpretation necessary. Vargas wanted to administer some more punishment. 

He did with punches that forced another timeout  Quintana was sent to his corner where the ringside physician was waiting. The  good doctor took a look at his busted-up face and determined the fight could continue. Nobody was happier about that than Vargas.  A round later, it was over, despite angry protests from the busted-up Quintana.

Abel Ramos storms back, scores decision over Smalls

Now we know why Mario Barrios wouldn’t fight Abel Ramos again.

Ramos, fighting for the first time since a controversial draw with Barrios for the WBC welterweight title more than a year ago, displayed great conditioning, unleashing another furious rally for a victory over prospect Tahmir Smalls at Desert Diamond Arena.

It was close, but this time the judges got it right, giving Ramos (29-6-3, 22 KOs) a split decision– 98-92  and 97-93 for Ramos, 96-94 for Smalls.

Ramos and the crowd — populated by many fans from hometown Casa Grande about an hour drive from Glendale — celebrated as though they had been waiting for fate and fairness to finally favor Ramos.

For months, he waited and wondered, praying and hoping for a rematch with Barrios. 

“It’s been awhile since I last fought,” he told The Boxing Hour before opening bell.  “I thought I’d get the rematch. There were. a couple times I thought it was done. They kept saying yeah. But then he got the Manny Pacquiao fight. That’s when I knew I’d have to fight somebody else. No regrets. 

“I’m just happy to be here, fighting again. 

“I just love to fight.”

For the last six rounds, that was evident, painfully so for Smalls (16-1 11 KOs). First, there were body shots from  Ramos. Then, head shots. In the final round, Smalls slipped to the canvas, a picture of exhaustion..

“It’s exactly how I thought it would go,” said Ramos, who resurrected his future. “I hope this win will give me another title shot. I want Ryan Garcia, all of the champions.” 

Martinez, Cardenas fight to a draw

Jordan Martinez didn’t get the win. But he got the cheers and probably a rematch.

Martinez, an entertaining mix of energy and speed, wound up with a draw in front of hometown fans Saturday against favored Arturo Cardenas in the first fight of the DAZN live stream of the Emanuel Navarrete-Eduardo Nunez fight at Desert Diamond Arena.

Martinez (16-0-1, 15 KOs) appeared to grab the early momentum in the junior-featherweight fight. He danced into the ring and kept his feet moving throughout most of the early rounds. By the mid rounds, however, Cardenas (17-0-2, 9KOs) began to catch with solid shots. It was enough for him to also catch him on the cards — 98-92 for Martinez, 96-94 for Cardenas and 95-95. It was a split draw. A split audience, too..

“Most of his shots were hitting me on the gloves,” Cardenas, of Mexico, said.

The, crowd booed,

“We can run it back for sure and I’ll come back better,” said Martinez, a Phoenix fighter who wore the city’s logo on the back of his trunks.

Mesa junior welterweight Ochoa suffers first loss

Mexican Oscar Alvarez Guerrero brought Julio Cesar Chavez out of his broadcasting seat and onto his feet with a resilient burst of late energy that led to an upset decision over Trini Ochoa, a popular junior welterweight from Mesa, Saturday at Desert Diamond Arena.

The early moments in the eight-round fight appeared to belong to Ochoa, who delivered an effective body attack. But the lanky Guerrero (15-2, 12 KOs) endured the shots, recovered and then began to dominate, especially in the final couple of rounds. That’s when Guerrero mounted a relentless attack, backing Ochoa (21-1, 9 KOs) on to the ropes and into the loss column for the first time.

Bantamweight Velle stays unbeaten with dominant decision

Phillip Velle, an accomplished amateur, continued to add a prospect’s credibility to his resume Saturday, displaying a comprehensive skill set in a dominant decision over Brayan Ramos at Desert Diamond Arena.

Velle (5-0, 2 KOs), landed several well-executed counters throughout a sxi-round bantamweight fight. He staggered Ramos (8-8-1, 2 KOs), a resilient Mexican who managed to stay on his feet and in the fight. 

Prospect Beltran extends unbeaten record

Hector Beltran calls himself Handsome. The nickname still works. His face and record remains unmarked.

Beltran, a Robert Garcia-trained prospect, stayed unbeaten with a shutout decision over a game Cesar Diaz in the second fight on the Navarrete-Nunez featured card Saturday at Desert Diamond Arena.

Beltran (7-0, 5 KOs), of Dallas, took complete control of the welterweight bout in fourth, landing successive shots that rocked Diaz (10-2, 6 KOs) from one side of the ring to the next.

GLENDALE, Ariz. – For a while, the only thing separating Emanuel Navarrete and Eduardo Nunez was a valid passport. Now, even that’s gone.

Navarrete and Nunez stood face-to-face, seemingly even for perhaps the most intriguing fight in a new year Friday, just a day after Navarrete resolved issues over a lost passport and boarded a private jet in Mexico City for a flight to Arizona.

He landed, his papers and weight all in order. As he stepped off the scale, he looked relieved. Finally, he was where he was supposed to be. Finally, there were no issues about the weight. He safely came in under the junior-lightweight limit of 130 pounds.

In a staged weigh-in after the official one behind closed doors Friday morning at Desert Diamond Arena, he was at 129.2 and Nunez at 129.8.

Over the last few years, the 31-year-old Navarrete (39-2-1-1, 32 KOs) has often struggled to make weight. But this time, more than a passport was lost.

Pounds were, too, enough for him to stay in the hunt to keep his World Boxing Organization belt and to take Nunez’ International Boxing Federation title Saturday night at Desert Diamond in a DAZN-streamed bout.

“Obviously, we had our setbacks, all out of our hands,’’ Navarrete said through an interpreter. “But, finally, we’re here.’’

Navarrete sounded confident. The three-division champion is no stranger to Arizona where he’s already fought three times since 2023.

“This is a lot like my second home,’’ Navarrete said.

He’s been lucky in Maricopa County. He escaped with a victory over Australian Liam Wilson, scoring a stoppage after getting up from a controversial knockdown. He’s also been dominant, punishing Oscar Valdez, first at Desert Diamond and again at the Suns home arena in downtown Phoenix.

He knows the city. It knows him. But a boxing ring never includes any of the comforts of home. It’s full of danger and shifting allegiances, both of which are personified in the emerging face of Nunez.

Navarrete has the resume and an awkward style, a puzzle to most who have tried to solve it.

But Nunez has the momentum, which includes an astonishing knockout rate. He’s not perfect, but he’s close. He’s stopping opponents at a 93.1-percent clip.

Twenty-nine victories in 30 fights, 27 by stoppage. It comes with no surprise, perhaps, that his only loss came on the scorecards early in his career. Nunez’ power has dictated what he does. Who he is.

“Navarrete has been a champion for a long, long time,’’ Nunez said, also through an interpreter. “But I feel like it’s my time to write my own destiny.’’

Nunez woke up Friday as the favorite. The betting odds have been close since the fight was announced. Throughout, however, Nunez has been the bettors’ slight favorite, a sign perhaps that the fighter from Sinaloa has captured the imagination of Mexican fans.

For now, at least, Nunez is a name. Few American fans have seen him fight. In August 2024, he beat Miguel Marriaga in Carson, Calif. Last May, he traveled to Japan, scoring a unanimous decision over Masanori Rikiishi for a vacant IBF title in Yokohama. Twice, his passport has been punched with some noteworthy credibility.

But none would be more powerful than a victory over Navarrete, whose name has been near the top of Mexico’s boxing royalty for many years.

A victory over Navarrete would be a sure sign that he has arrived, especially among Mexicans, boxing’s biggest and loudest demographic. It’s no coincidence that promoters, Matchroom and Top Rank, have dubbed the fight “King of Mexico.”

Canelo Alvarez, who still plans a post-Terence Crawford comeback in September, might argue with that one. For one night, however, the marketing title works.

The 27-year Nunez has youth and evident energy. Against a Navarrete, he might need a lot of both. Navarrete’s edgy victories over Valdez suggest he’s at his best against fellow Mexicans. Valdez is popular in Arizona, in part because he has roots in Tucson. But Navarrete walked through him. From round to round, it looked as if he was energized by a partisan crowd. Those Valdez fans might be his fans now.

Nunez figures to encounter that version of Navarrete, who is also motivated by talk that he is not the fighter he was five years ago. In his last fight, he escaped against Charly Suarez. It ended in controversy over whether a punch or a head butt left Navarrete with a nasty cut. Eventually, it was ruled a No Contest. Navarette kept his belt, but couldn’t shed the questions.

“Some of the criticism was unfair,’’ said Navarrete, who has never had a better chance to prove just how unfair.   

Ruben Eduardo Aguilar stopped Louie Lopez after round eight of their scheduled 10-round welterweight bout in Arlington, Texas

In round two, Aguilar dropped Lopez with a left hand that was followed by a right uppercut. In round four, Lopez was bleeding over the left eye.

Aguilar continued the beatdown until the bout was stopped in the corner 10 seconds into round nine.

Aguilar, 146 lbs of Ensenada, MEX is 24-0-1 with 21 knockouts. Lopez, 146.6 lbs of Orange, CA is 16-3-4.

Vazquez Stops Machuca In Six

Former two-time world title challenger Edward Vazquez stopped Grimaldo Machuca after round five of their 10-round junior lightweight bout.

Vazquez dominated by coming forward and applying hard pressure from round two. Vazquez landed several hard shots and buckled Machuca several times. The corner pulled Machuca two seconds into round six.

Vazquez, 129.4 lbs of Fort Worth, TC is now 19-3 with six knockouts. Machuca, 130.8 lbs of Curico, VEN is 17-4.

Xavier Bocanegra won a six-round unanimous decision over Malik Lewis in a junior lightweight fight.

Bocanegra landed 115 of 504 punches. Lewis was 87 of 462.

Bocanegra, 130 lbs of Walesco, TX won by scores of 60-54 twice and 59-55 and is now 10-0. Lewis, 128.2 lbs of Miami is 8-3.

Emilio Garcia stopped Ociel Vazquez in round one of a six-round welterweight bout.

In round one, Garcia landed a double left hook (body and head that put Vazquez on the canvas. Garcia went right after Vazquez and landed a big left that put Vazquez down face-first and the corner threw in the towel at 2:15.

Garcia, 145.8 lbs of Laredo, TX is 4-0 with four knockouts. Vazquez, 146 lbs of Dallas is 2-3.

Hugo Amador Mendez stopped Christian Anibal Luna in round five of their six-round lightweight fight.

In round one, Martinez dropped Luna with a right uppercut.

In round five, Mendez landed some blistering flurries that forced a referee stoppage at 1:11.

Mendez, 136.8 lbs of Austin is 7-0 with for knockouts. Luna, 138.4 lbs of Uruguay is 3-2.

Figo Ramirez won a six-round split decision over Antonio Alejandro Mejia Martinez in a super bantamweight bout.

Ramirez won two cards 58-56 and Martinez won a card 58-56.

Ramirez, 121.4 lbs of Dallas is 10-0-1. Martinez, 120.6 lbs of Monterrey, MEX is 5-3.

Ranulfo Bocanegra won a four-round unanimous decision over Kevin Ronquillo Nunez in a lightweight fight.

In round three, Nunez began to swell around the left eye.

Bocanegra landed 94 of 230 punches. Nunez was 32 of 180.

‘Glory in Giza’ will see Usyk take on Verhoeven, who steps back into the boxing ring following a twelve year absence. 

Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight champion with two victories over Tyson Fury in Riyadh in 2024. He then became the unified heavyweight champion with a comprehensive fifth-round KO of Daniel Dubois. 

Having fought in Ukraine, Germany, Poland, the USA, Latvia, Russia and the UK, the 39-year-old will compete in North Africa for the first time in his career. 

Dutch former kickboxer Verhoeven, 36, holds Glory records in most wins in title bouts (14), the most consecutive title defenses (13), the most wins (28), and the longest winning streak (27),

while also tying in the record of the promotion’s most bouts (29). He has previously competed in MMA and professional boxing, winning his only fight in each sport by knockout. 

Verhoeven defended his heavyweight title in June last year, defeating former two-time light heavyweight champion Artem Vakhitov by unanimous decision before announcing his departure from the sport in November after 76 fights and 66 wins. 

He now returns to boxing for the first time since 2014 hoping to become the first man to defeat Usyk in his professional career.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Emanuel Navarrete missed a news conference Thursday for a fight for a unified junior-lightweight title Saturday against emerging fellow-Mexican Eduardo Nunez at Desert Diamond Arena because he lost his passport.

The fight for the World Boxing Organization and International Boxing Federation belts was still on, however. 

During the  undercard portion of a delayed news conference, promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed a story first reported by The Boxing Hour and said  Navarrete was on a private jet from Mexico City to Phoenix.

“”Earlier, he was sitting in an embassy in Mexico City,” Hearn, Nunez’ promoter, said. “Nobody could find his passport.

Hearn had hoped to stage the ritual stare-down between Navarrete and Nunez later in the night. But there was still no sign of Navarrete as the undercard part of the newser ended.

Representatives for Top Rank, Navarrete’s promoter, were confident he was enroute.

“We had some drama this week,” Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti said.

Moretti then thanked Hearn for acquiring a private jet.

“We’re still negotiating that,” Hearn said.

Navarrete is popular in the Phoenix area. His scheduled Saturday fight on DAZN is his third at Desert Diamond and his fourth in Maricopa County since 2023. He beat Oscar Valdez in a rematch in December, 2024 at the Suns home arena in downtown Phoenix in his last Arizona appearance. His drawing power has been evident.

“This fight will happen in front of what will be 12,0000 fans,” Hearn said.

Following an unbelievable weekend of boxing in “The Ring: High Stakes” Mario Barrios vs. Ryan Garcia and Claressa Shields vs. Franchon Crews-Dezurn II, DAZN’s action-packed Q1 boxing slate continues this Saturday, Feb. 28, when Emanuel Navarrete (39-2-1, 32 KOs) and Eduardo Nunez (29-1, 27 KOs) face off with both the IBF and WBO Super Featherweight Titles on the line. The fight at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Ariz., will air live on DAZN starting at 9pm ET / 6pm PT. Main event ringwalks are set to kick off at approximately 11:47pm ET / 8:47pm PT / 4:45am GMT. 

The Navarrete vs. Nunez undercard features three exciting bouts with four undefeated fighters looking to protect their unblemished records. Tahmir Smalls (16-0, 11 KOs) hopes to remain perfect against Abel Ramos (28-6, 22 KOs) in a welterweight matchup. Elsewhere, the promising 21-year-old super lightweight prospect Emiliano Vargas (16-0, 13 KOs) will enter the ring to face Agustin Quintana (22-2-1, 13 KOs) undefeated but is in for a challenge as Quintana hasn’t lost a fight in nearly three years. Rounding out the undercard is a bantamweight clash between two undefeated fighters in Arturo Cardenas (18-0, 9 KOs) and Jordan Martinez (16-0, 15 KOs). 

Heading into March, the action continues as both former interim champion Arnold Barboza Jr. (32-1, 11 KOs) and Kenneth Sims Jr. (22-3-1, 8 KOs) will move up to the welterweight division in a highly contested bout that will also feature a pair of world champions in Gabriela Fundora (17-0, 9 KOs) and Oscar Collazo (13-0, 10 KOs) on the undercard, live on DAZN on March 14 in Anaheim, Calif. 

The following weekend, DAZN boxing heads to Orlando, Fla., on Saturday, March 21 for a WBC Middleweight Title fight between Carlos Adames (24-1, 18 KOs) and Austin “Ammo” Williams (20-1, 13 KOs). Adames’ third title defense was originally set with Williams in January as part of the Shakur Stevenson vs. Teofimo Lopez card, but Adames pulled out before the weigh in due to illness.

Carlos Adames will defend his WBC World Middleweight title against Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando on Saturday March 21, exclusively live worldwide on DAZN.

Adames and Williams were due to clash for the crown at Madison Square Garden in New York on the undercard of Shakur Stevenson’s battle with Teofimo Lopez, but Adames was forced to pull out of the fight ahead of the weigh-in through illness, while Williams still boxed on the bill, and claimed a ten round win over Wendy Toussaint.

Adames (24-1-1 18 KOs) will make the third defense of his title against Ammo, having been elevated to full champion in May 2024, making his first defense a month later in Las Vegas with a comprehensive points win over Terrell Gausha and then facing Hamzah Sheeraz in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last February, with their clash ending in the split draw.

Williams (20-1 13 KOs) will get the World title fight he was robbed of due to the unfortunate illness for the champion and will look to build upon his momentum to gain victory in the biggest fight of his career to date. The 29 year old has won four on the bounce over a 14-month stretch, elevating him to #3 in the WBC rankings ahead of his big night.

“Life doesn’t repeat opportunities – if you escaped once, consider it a miracle,” said Adames. “Destiny forgives once. After that, it collects. Not everyone gets two warnings. He already used one. Danger is coming to Orlando on March 21!”

“The second Ammo Show will be electric,” said Williams. “This is the moment I become WBC Champion of the World and begin my reign. Ten years of dedication all boiling down to one night, don’t miss it!”

Full undercard announcements will come in due course, along with ticket on sale details, but one hometown favorite is confirmed for the card alongside a Heavyweight wrecking ball.

Orlando native and Olympic bronze medal man Omari Jones (5-0 4 KOs) steps through the ropes for the sixth time in the paid ranks and just over one year since he made his hotly anticipated debut in the same venue and faces his first eight round bout on the night.

“I’m happy to be fighting in my hometown again,” said Jones, whose opponent will be announced soon. “The Banger Show returns to Orlando.”

Fearsome Australian Heavyweight Teremoana Teremoana (9-0 9 KOs) fights for the first time in 2026, and fans will be hoping to see him extend his devastating KO streak to ten out of ten in the paid ranks, with an opponent to be named soon.

Two of the greatest icons in boxing history, Floyd “Money” Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) and Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs), will meet in a professional rematch on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Sphere in Las Vegas. With Mayweather officially coming out of retirement, this once-in-a-generation event will stream live globally on Netflix to its 325+ million subscribers at no additional cost.

This landmark night represents a major milestone for both the sport and the city of Las Vegas, as the first-ever professional boxing match to take place at Sphere. The production will utilize the venue’s advanced technologies to provide fans with an immersive experience unlike any other in boxing history. 

The rematch follows the 2015 “Fight of the Century,” a monumental event that remains the richest in boxing history. Their first meeting shattered every standing benchmark, generating a record 4.6 million pay-per-view buys. The event also set a world-record live gate of $72 million at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Now, over a decade later, these two titans return to the ring to settle the score on the world’s most technologically advanced stage.

Mayweather recently announced that he was coming out of retirement through a multi-fight partnership with CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS. 

The historic rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao was organized and will be produced by EverWonder Studio, Hidden Empire, and Limitless X Holdings. The event itself is being promoted by Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions in partnership with CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS.

The Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch marks the latest chapter in Netflix’s record-breaking expansion into live boxing. It follows the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event, which drew 108 million live global viewers to become the most-streamed sporting event in history; Taylor-Serrano 3, which took place at Madison Square Garden and was the most-watched professional women’s sporting event of 2025 in the US; and the Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford showdown, which garnered 41.4 million viewers as the century’s most-watched men’s championship fight. Netflix continues this momentum with the upcoming return of Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury against Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 – Netflix’s first-ever live event broadcast from the United Kingdom.

Welsh boxing will take centre stage as Lauren Price MBE defends her WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO & Ring Magazine World Welterweight Titles against Stephanie Pineiro on Saturday, April 4 at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff, presented by BOXXER and broadcast live and free-to-air on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. 

A stacked undercard featuring some of the nation’s top home grown talent has been confirmed, with Olympic gold medallist Price providing a platform for the next generation of Welsh boxing stars to showcase their skills. 

As previously announced, Rhys Edwards (17-1, 4 KOs) will face Wolverhampton’s Gully Powar (13-1, 1 KO) for the vacant British Featherweight Title.

Known as ‘Rhys Lightning’, the 25-year-old from Penygraig, has earned his shot at the vacant British featherweight crown with a series of impressive performances. He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Welsh greats including Joe Calzaghe, Lee Selby and Lauren Price, who all claimed British titles on their way to world honours. 

In a clash of unbeaten prospects, Cardiff’s Kane Shepherd (8-0, 3 KOs) faces Northern Ireland’s Teo Alin (6-0, 1 KO) for the Celtic Featherweight Title, while gym-mate Kyran Jones (13-0, 1 KO) from Newport, will look to continue his unbeaten run. 

Aberdare’s Lewys Parfitt (5-0, 1 KO) and Port Talbot’s Morgan McIntosh (5-1) battle for domestic supremacy as they contest the Welsh Area Welterweight Championship.

Cardiff’s Jacob Robinson (11-1, 2 KOs), the son of former WBO Featherweight World Champion Steve Robinson, returns to action as he looks to reignite his career against Eduard Georgiev (3-0-1, 1 KO), and highly regarded amateur Mikey O’Sullivan, from Cardigan, makes his professional debut.

LAS VEGAS – February 23, 2026 – Undefeated two-division world champion and Mexican superstar David “El Monstro” Benavidez will move up in weight to challenge Mexico’s first cruiserweight world champion, unified WBA and WBO king Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, in a first of its kind Mexico vs. Mexico showdown highlighting Cinco de Mayo Weekend in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 2 headlining a PBC Pay-Per-View event available on Prime Video from T-Mobile Arena.

Benavidez vs. Ramirez will deliver the first Mexico vs. Mexico world championship matchup to ever take place above 168-pounds, with two fighters known for non-stop action and memorable fights throughout their storied careers. “El Monstro” and “Zurdo” sport a combined record of 79-1 with 55 KOs and will each look to score a career-defining victory on one of boxing’s premier weekends.

Already the youngest 168-pound champion in boxing history and the current WBC and WBA Light Heavyweight Champion, David “El Monstro” Benavidez will seek a world title in a third division as he faces fellow two-division world champion and the reigning unified WBA and WBO Cruiserweight World Champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez in a 12-round matchup headlining one of boxing’s biggest nights.

One of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, the 29-year-old Benavidez (31-0, 25 KOs) continued to dominate elite competition in a big 2025 campaign. He kicked the year off by defeating rival and then unbeaten David Morrell Jr. by unanimous decision to add the WBA belt to the WBC title he’d earned in 2024 against former champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk. Prior to that, Benavidez’s 2023 began with him besting longtime rival Caleb Plant via unanimous decision in a March slugfest before stopping the previously unbeaten two-division champion Demetrius Andrade in six rounds in November. A Phoenix-native who now trains in Miami, Benavidez became the youngest-ever 168-pound world champion at just 20-years-old when he defeated Ronald Gavril by split decision for the vacant WBC title in 2017. When he was 15 years old, Benavidez went from weighing 250 pounds to a boxing prodigy under the watchful eye of his father and trainer, Jose, Sr., and his brother and veteran contender Jose Jr., as he famously held his own in sparring against middleweight champions Gennady Golovkin and Peter Quillin as a teenager. Benavidez most recently demolished top contender Anthony Yarde in November, stopping him in round seven. 

“This is something I’ve been working toward for a long time,” said Benavidez. “We’ve had so many great sparring sessions and I told Zurdo then, we’ll have to do this on pay-per-view one day. Now we’re going for two titles on May 2 and I’m very grateful…I’m gonna go in there and leave everything in the ring. I’m making sure I’m doing extra reps with anything and everything I do. That’s just the way I fight. I want to earn the fans respect and go in there and put on a great fight…I want to make my own lane and achieve greatness.”

A native of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) became Mexico’s first cruiserweight world champion in March 2024 as he earned a unanimous decision over Arsen Goulamirian to capture the WBA championship. The 34-year-old followed up that feat by adding the WBO belt in a November 2024 triumph over Chris Billiam-Smith via another unanimous decision. He continued to establish his place atop the 200-pound weight class in his most recent action last June, as he handled the hard-hitting former cruiserweight world champion Yuniel Dorticos. Ramirez broke into the upper echelon of the sport with a prolific run as the WBO Super Middleweight World Champion, beginning in April 2016 when he dethroned Arthur Abraham. He’d go on to make five successful title defenses, including two victories over the previously unbeaten Jesse Hart and triumphs over then-undefeated contenders Alexis Angulo and Habib Ahmed. The lone blemish on Ramirez’s resume came via decision in a 2022 challenge of light heavyweight star Dmitry Bivol.

“I’m so glad to be here to make a huge fight for May 2,” said Ramirez. “Don’t miss this fight. I know Team Benavidez, they actually helped me a lot for my first world title fight. We’re gonna make this an exciting fight. At the end of the day, the titles are staying with Zurdo…I just want to be the best. I want to fight the best and he’s one of the best.
