MONTRÉAL, January 16, 2026 — It’s time for revenge for Eye of the Tiger. After seeing Ramadan Hiseni upset Shamil Khataev and Alexandre Gaumont, two-time world title challenger Steven Butler will look to restore EOTTM’s honor against the Swiss contender in a WBA Continental super middleweight championship bout on March 5 at the Casino de Montréal.

“Hiseni represents a big risk—I know that better than anyone. For me and EOTTM, this is a revenge fight, but for Steven, it’s his chance to prove he’s a serious contender at super middleweight,” said Camille Estephan, president of the Montreal-based promotion.

“Hiseni has already caused two upsets in Quebec. It’s clear we can’t take him lightly—but enough is enough. On March 5, the job will get done. If he’s expecting the same result as the first two times, he’s the one who will be surprised,” promised Butler.

Montreal puncher Steven “Bang Bang” Butler (37-5-1, 31 KOs) is more dangerous than ever since moving up to super middleweight. Over the past year, he has fought three times, earned three victories, and scored three knockouts—most notably winning a rematch against Jose Macias and a local showdown against Stéphane Fondjo. Seeking a fourth straight win, the 30-year-old veteran is determined not to fall into the same trap as his EOTTM teammates as he prepares for the 44th fight of his career.

“I believe moving up to super middleweight was the best decision Steven has made in his entire career. Over the last three fights, I’ve seen him reborn in the gym. He’s stronger, more powerful, and has better stamina. He has a champion’s mindset, and now he has all the tools to become one,” added Butler’s trainer, John Scully.

Pride of Zurich, Switzerland, Ramadan Hiseni (22-2-2, 8 KOs) is far from unfamiliar territory as he approaches his third fight in Quebec. In June 2024, Hiseni spoiled the EOTTM debut of Shamil Khataev by fighting him to a 10-round draw at the Casino de Montréal. Believing he deserved the win, he rolled up his sleeves and returned to Quebec to challenge Alexandre Gaumont last December. This time, he left no doubt, winning by unanimous decision and handing Gaumont the first defeat—and first knockdown—of his career.

“As with Khataev and Gaumont, my mindset is the same: veni, vidi, vici. I expect the result to be the same as well. To boxing fans around the world: I promise a high-level fight, and above all, I promise victory on March 5,” said Hiseni, who already has four bouts at super middleweight.

In the co-main event, top-3 WBA world-ranked contender Lenar Perez (15-0, 14 KOs) will make his long-awaited EOTTM debut. He will vie for the WBC Continental light heavyweight title against the indestructible African veteran Isaac Chilemba (27-10-3, 11 KOs). Like Hiseni, this will be Chilemba’s third fight in Quebec. In March 2015, he handed Vasily Lepikhin his first loss on the undercard of the first Sergey Kovalev–Jean Pascal bout. That November, he dropped a hotly contested majority decision to Eleider Alvarez. Known for his durability, the former world title challenger has been stopped only twice in 40 fights. He is also the only man to have gone the distance with feared Osleys Iglesias, in a 12-round bout in Poland in 2022.

Another major local matchup will also take place on March 5. Making his third defense of the WBC Continental welterweight title, Montreal’s Christopher “Machine Gun” Guerrero (16-0, 9 KOs) will face hard-hitting Dominican-born, Gatineau-based Samuel “Chocolatico” Rodriguez (12-0, 11 KOs). Ranked No. 18 in the WBC world standings, Guerrero aims to break into the top 15 with a convincing win.

“Chris hasn’t performed to our expectations in his last two fights. We really want to show that he belongs at elite level, and I’m very confident that this is the fight where the world will see it,” promised Guerrero’s trainer, Giuseppe Moffa.

Rodriguez has been training at the Club de boxe Évolution in Gatineau since settling full-time in the Outaouais region in March 2023. Well known in local gyms, he has sparred many times with Alexandre Gaumont. Against Guerrero, he now gets his chance to reveal himself to the world.

“This is an extremely important fight for Samuel’s career. It will be an intense battle, but Samuel is on a mission: to make a name for himself on the world stage. On March 5, the message will be sent,” said Rodriguez’s trainer, Romi El-Ghourani, who until recently worked with newly retired Pascal Villeneuve.

Adding a fourth championship bout to the card, WBC Continental super lightweight champion Jhon “El Tigre” Orobio (16-0, 14 KOs) will make his third title defense against Puerto Rican contender Yomar Alamo (22-5-1, 13 KOs). Starting the year ranked No. 15 in the WBC world rankings, Orobio will be seeking a fourth straight knockout after stopping former world champion Xolisani Ndongeni in the second round of their November bout. However, the Marc Ramsay protégé must beware of “The Magic” Alamo. The 28-fight veteran has delivered competitive performances against Breyon Gorham, Jamaine Ortiz, and top prospect Delante “Tiger” Johnson. In 2021, he even came within one round of upsetting future world champion Liam Paro, flooring him in the opening round.

Also on the card, former world title challenger Steve “The Dragon” Claggett (39-8-2, 27 KOs) will make a highly anticipated return after spending 2025 sidelined by injury. EOTTM’s 2024 Prospect of the Year and author of the 2025 EOTTM Knockout of the Year, Moreno “The Soldier” Fendero (13-0, 10 KOs), will also be back in another scheduled 10-round bout. EOTTM will announce the opponents for Claggett and Fendero, as well as an additional fight, in the coming days.

Today, January 16, NABF Welterweight Champion Raúl Curiel (16-0, 14 KOs) goes up against a new opponent in Jordan Panthen (11-1, 9 KOs), at Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs, Palm Desert, CA, following Rocha’s hospitalization earlier this week. The welterweight rematch not only sets the stage for a highly-anticipated bout, but kicks off an unmatched boxing slate on DAZN. Fans can now tune in to the prelims live stream on DAZN’s Boxing YouTube channel. 

On the undercard, Cayden Griffiths (6-0, 6 KOs) takes on Lesther Espino (10-7, 8 KOs) in a welterweight bout, followed by Ruslan Abdullaev (3-0, 1 KOs) and Eduardo Abreu (14-1, 10 KOs) in a super lightweight clash. In another welterweight fight, Joel Iriarte (9-0, 8 KOs) faces off against Jireh De Los Santos (14-2, 5 KOs) before Manuel Flores (20-1, 16 KOs) and Jorge Chavez (14-0, 8 KOs) wrap up the undercard in a Super Bantamweight bout.

The weekend action continues when BKFC86 returns tomorrow (January 17) as Julian Lane (9-9, 3 KOs) and Dustin Pague (5-2, 4 KOs) square off in the BKFC Welterweight Championship. Elsewhere on the card, Former WBO super featherweight champion, Jamel, Herring, will make his bare-knuckle debut against Matt Guymon (2-1, 2 KOs) in a bantamweight bout. This fight means a great deal to Herring, as following his BKFC debut, the 40-year old will be among a shortlist of active BKFC fighters that also tout accomplished boxing careers. 

As if that wasn’t enough, DAZN delivers fans a January 24 showdown featuring Andy Cruz (6-0, 3 KOs) and Raymond Muratalla (23-0, 17 KOs) as the two will headline a Las Vegas card in a battle for Muratalla’s IBF lightweight title. Then, in what’s being dubbed one of the biggest blockbuster fights of the year, the boxing world spotlight shifts to New York City on January 31 as Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs)  and Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs)  will face off in “The Ring 6,” with Lopez putting his WBO and Ring Junior Welterweight Titles on the line. 

Next month, another marquee match-up awaits live exclusively on DAZN in “The Ring: High Stakes,” as Mario Barrios (29-2, 18 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) face off against one another, with Barrios’ WBC welterweight title on the line, a title which he has held since 2024.

JANUARY 16, 2026, SAN FRANCISCO – iVB, a leading live Sports Entertainment organization, has today announced an ambitious plan to break the Guinness World Record for the highest attended World-Championship boxing event in the sports history. The current record stands at 135,132, set in 1941 when Tony Zale defended his middleweight title against Billy Pryor in Milwaukee. On July 11, 2026, iVB aims to shatter that number at Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco – a landmark public space managed by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department – transforming the heart of the city into the largest open-air boxing event ever. iVB CEO, Ed Pereira, joined by San Francisco Mayor, Daniel Lurie, will officially unveil the plan at 1PM (PST) on January 16, 2026, across from the steps of Civic Center Plaza. It marks the beginning of what iVB calls a new era of fan-first boxing.

Hosting both the World Cup and the Superbowl in 2026, San Francisco was selected as a host city for iVB’s World-Championship boxing event because it reflects iVB’s commitment to fan-first, live sport. The city’s history of cultural reinvention across music, technology and civic life makes it an appropriate setting for a new approach to global sporting events. The world-record event will integrate local food vendors, music, cultural institutions and the San Francisco boxing community into a fan-first experience. This creates a model in which fans and local communities are active participants rather than simply spectators. iVB is re-establishing World-Championship boxing as a more accessible and inclusive public event, rooted in fan-first experiences with its audience.

iVB has also unveiled a multi-fight deal with YouTube, which will serve as the global streaming platform for this series of iVB’s Iconic World-Championship boxing events. Powered by the reach of YouTube’s 2.7 billion monthly users, iVB will create the largest boxing audience in the history of the sport. With YouTube’s support, iVB will prioritize fan access by removing traditional limitations of distribution, instead allowing global audiences to participate in boxing’s most significant World-Championship events. THE VACANT BRITISH welterweight championship will be on the line alongside the Commonwealth strap when Owen Cooper goes up against Constantin Ursu in ‘Under the Lights’ at Valliant Live, Derby on Saturday February 28, live on DAZN.

The ‘Under the Lights’ card will also feature 10-round action at super lightweight, with Olympian Luke McCormack taking on Kane Gardner, plus at middleweight, with Ben Fail facing Mason Cartwright.

The prize attached to the headline fight also includes the Commonwealth title won by Ursu (14-0, 6 KOs) when he scored a knockout victory over Eithan James in March of last year. The 25-year-old Moldovan, who resides in Plymouth, has since made a successful defence and won the WBO European title with victory over Ryan Amos in November.

Worcester’s Cooper (11-1, 4 KOs) impressively returned to the win column with victory over Chris Kongo last May in Nottingham, having lost out in a thrilling WBO European title against Ekow Essuman in 2024. He won the WBO belt, along with the English title, with his success over Eithan James earlier in the year.

McCormack (4-0, 3 KOs), from Sunderland, is taking a significant step up in class by going in with Gardner in just his fifth professional fight, with having previously only taken part in one eight round fight.

Gardner (18-5, 7 KOs) is a known tough customer who in 2023 went the distance with Pierce O’Leary in a WBC International title fight and only lost out by a round in a late 2024 Central Area title encounter with Reece MacMillan, a decision that cost him a multi-title fight against Jack Rafferty.

Northampton man Fail (10-0, 5 KOs) will also have his credentials severely tested against Cartwright (23-4, 9 KOs), a two-time British title challenger from Ellesmere Port. Cartwright’s challenges for the Lonsdale belt came against Troy Williamson and Samuel Antwi and the only losses on his record have come in title contention.

Cartwright, known as ‘Nutty’, is currently enjoying a four-fight winning streak.

“This is a cracking little show and a showcase for our up-and-coming talents,” said promoter Frank Warren. “This is where prospects get to prove themselves as potential contenders and show us all that they belong on the major events moving forward.

“The British title fight between Owen Cooper and Constantin Ursu should be a real banger and it is one I am looking forward to greatly because these fights nearly always deliver the goods and Owen’s fights always do anyway.

“We expect big things from Luke McCormack and Ben Fail and they will both be tested in a big way on February 28.”

Tahmir Smalls will defend his WBA Continental North America Welterweight title against Abel Ramos at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona on Saturday February 28, live worldwide on DAZN, leading the undercard for the blockbuster unification clash between Emanuel Navarrete and Eduardo ‘Sugar’ Nunez.

Smalls (16-0 11 KOs) claimed the title in his last outing on home turf in Philadelphia, dropping Jose Roman Vazquez twice over ten rounds to pick up his first belt and biggest win to date.

‘Boots’ Ennis’ stablemate now steps up once again, and this time he’s entering the Lion’s Den to take on Phoenix’s Ramos (28-6-3 22 KOs) in another step-up showdown. Ramos returns to the ring after a grueling World title battle with WBC champion Mario Barrios in Texas in November, missing out on becoming a World ruler with their tussle ending in a draw.

Ramos will be eager to get back into position for a third shot at a World title, having faced Yordenis Ugas for the WBA strap in September 2020, and for Smalls, the showdown gives the 26 year old the chance to further stake his claim for more big fights at 147lbs – a must-win night for both fighters in the desert.

“2026 is my year,” said Smalls. “I am coming for everybody that is in my way to becoming World champion in the division, and that starts with Abel Ramos on February 28.”

“Devin Haney, Mario Barrios, Rolly Romero and Lewis Crocker – I am calling out all of you. I am taking over the Welterweight division and there is nothing stopping me. On February 28, Abel Ramos – it’s belt to ass. Statement time.”

Elsewhere on a stacked card in Arizona, Arturo Cardenas defends his WBC Continental Americas Super-Bantamweight title against Jordan Martinez. Mexican Cardenas (17-0-1 9 KOs) puts the title on the line for the fourth time after a successful third defense in Stockton, California in December, and does so against unbeaten Arizonan Martinez (16-0 15 KOs) who will be hungry to claim the biggest win of his career and rip Cardenas’ title away.

“A big thank you to my team at RGBA and Matchroom for the opportunity to perform on such a great card between two Mexican warriors,” said Cardenas. “On February 28, I am looking forward to putting on an exciting fight for the fans there in Arizona and continuing my climb to a World title.”

A third title fight on the card sees Emiliano Vargas continue his rise in the paid ranks, defending his WBO Latino and WBC NABF Super-Lightweight titles against Agustin Quintana. Vargas (16-0 13 KOs) claimed the vacant WBO Latino title in Mexico in November with a landslide points win, and the Las Vegas starlet will be aiming to kick 2026 off in style in Arizona against Quintana (22-2-1 13 KOs), the experienced Argentinian on a four-fight winning streak which included him handing Marc Castro a first defeat in December 2024.

“The fans in Arizona have always supported my family, and I can’t wait to put on a show for them February 28,” said Vargas. “This is a great card headlined by two Mexican warriors, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.”

There’s more local flavor on the card in the shape of unbeaten Super-Lightweight Trini Ochoa (21-0 9 KOs), while unbeaten Texan Super-Welterweight Hector Beltran Jr (6-0 5 KOs) and unbeaten Las Vegas pair Rahman Muhammad (1-0 1 KOs) and Phillip Vela (4-0 2 KOs) all taste action and will be matched in due course.

U.S. unbeaten prospect Samuel Arnold III will square off against seasoned Argentine Fernando Ezequiel “Manzana” Farías, with the WBA NABA super lightweight title looming in the background.

Samuel Arnold III (14-0, 8 KOs) enters the bout riding the momentum of his young career. The Dallas, Texas native has drawn attention across the American boxing scene thanks to his spotless record and his towering 6-foot-3 frame—an unusual physical advantage at 140 pounds that allows him to control distance with authority.

On January 31, 2026, Bangkok, Thailand, will become the epicenter of Asian boxing when Britain’s Prince Patel takes on Tanzanian knockout artist Yahaya Mussa for the vacant WBA Asia Gold super lightweight title.

Patel (33-1-2, 28 KOs) enters off a quiet 2025, having fought just once—and ended it by knockout. The Blackburn native, known as much for his sharp tongue as his technical, aggressive style, is aiming to add another regional belt to his extensive résumé.

With an 84% knockout rate, Patel has shown that his power has carried up from bantamweight and super bantamweight into the super lightweight ranks.

The owner of Maravilla Boxing Club in his native Ciudad Juarez, 29-year-old Bryan Flores was a Mexican national champion as an amateur in 2010 and 2011 and a bronze medalist in 2012. He fought 90 times in the amateur ranks suffering just eight defeats.

In November 2020 Flores stopped Jorge Arturo Sanchez (then 15-1-1) in three rounds at Studios Televisa in Mexico City and then in December 2022, he won a near-shutout unanimous 10-round decision over Placido Ramirez (then 19-2). In April 2023, he won a 10-round split decision over Shinard Bunch (then 20-1-1) for the IBF USBA Super Lightweight Championship.

In August 2024, Flores suffered his only career loss to undefeated Lindolfo Delgado. In a fight for the WBO Latino Super Lightweight Championship at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque. Flores got off the canvas in round three to give the 2016 Mexican Olympian all he could handle en route to dropping a spirited 10-round split decision.

In his most recent ring appearance, Flores returned in May 2025 to stop Hernan Leandro Carrizo (then 18-2-1) in two rounds. Flores says he considers two-time world title challenger and fellow Juarez boxer Miguel Mickey Roman to be his “role model in and out of the ring.”

“It’s a tough fight for me, I think I have the style that can hurt Castillo but, he also has the style to test me,” said Flores. “It’s personal, not with him, but with myself and it’s definitely my toughest fight, but my biggest opportunity. I’m going to win, that’s for sure.”

Already a two-time ProBox TV veteran, 30-year-old southpaw Starling Castillo of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, comes from a well-respected fighting family, as he is the brother of former IBF World Female Super Bantamweight Champion, Katy Wilson Castillo.

In January of 2022, Castillo suffered his only career loss, an eight-round decision to undefeated Otar Eranosyan at the Caribe Royale Orlando. He has stayed undefeated in five fights since, including a split draw against fellow Dominican prospect Kenny De Leon (14-0) in October 2022, a 10-round unanimous decision over Esteuri Suero (then 12-0) at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in May 2023, a 10-round split decision over Jesus Saracho in his ProBox TV debut in March 2024, and his most recent ring appearance, a 10-round unanimous decision over Shinard Bunch (21-2-1), also on ProBox TV in August 2025 at the ProBox TV Events Center.

Promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz, Castillo is trained by world-renowned coach Bob Santos in Las Vegas. This partnership has not only refined Castillo’s boxing craft and conditioning but has also been central to his strategic push toward top 10 rankings among major sanctioning bodies, a goal he publicly embraces. Castillo also knocked out previously undefeated (11-0) Californian Miguel “Caveman” Contreras in two rounds in July. That win, a one-punch KO of another hot prospect, was shown on highlight reels around the world it was so devastating.

“I respect Bryan Flores, but he is in my way to a world championship,” said Castillo. “I have worked too hard to be stopped now. After a reported 240 amateur fights, Sulaiman Segawa made his professional debut on in April 2013 at the age of 21 and won his first 10 fights. A heavy-handed fighter with an awkward style, all the 34-year-old southpaw’s professional losses have come to fighters with combined records of 57-0.

Segawa started 2024 by dropping an eight-round decision to current world champion Mirco Cuello in March but rebounded with a surprise upset 10-round decision victory over then WBC #1-ranked contender Ruben Villa to win the WBC Silver Featherweight Championship at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas. After dropping a close majority decision to top contender Bruce Carrington in September 2024 in a unification bout for the WBC Silver Featherweight, WBO Inter-Continental Featherweight and North American Boxing Federation Featherweight Championships at Madison Square Garden, Segawa returned to stop (then 20-1) Bryan Acosta in seven rounds at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington DC. The victory over Acosta, broadcast live on ProBox TV, was his most recent ring appearance.

“Training is going good,” said Segawa. “I’m always in the gym and active. Palacios is a young, tough prospect who has a clean record and he’s technical with the way he moves and sets up opponents, but I fight to win not to lose. That’s why I have to win the fight. I have the will to win and a winner’s mentality!”

24-year-old Rene Palacios started boxing at 12 years old and accumulated 109 amateur fights with only eight losses. Along the way, he was a three-time national medalist including two golds and a silver, a five-time Golden Gloves Champion and was on the Mexican National Amateur Team.

The newlywed Palacios, who says his style depends on the opponent, but he is normally a fast and aggressive fighter, trains at Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico, with trainers Franco Gabaldon and José Cereceres. Palacios has fought only once outside his native Mexico.

In his most recent ring appearance in August of this year, Palacios stopped countryman Rafael Rosas Ramirez in three rounds. An elusive southpaw with good power and fast hands, Palacios before turning professional in 2019.

“I’ve been training hard. I was helping Lamont Roach at his camp in Tampa Florida earlier in my camp,” said Palacios. “I know Segawa is a warrior and he likes to fight fighters. That’s why I want to fight him. Losing this fight is not an option. I’ve been boxing for a long time and it’s time to prove what I can do.”

Also scheduled for televised action are one-punch KO artist Francois “The Franchise” Scarboro Jr (12-0, 9 KOs) from Cheverly, Maryland, taking on Brandon Valdes (15-7, 7 KOs) from Rosemead, California, via Barranquilla, Colombia, in a super featherweight 10-rounder. Elijah “2 Tec” Flores (10-0, 4 KOs) of Redlands, California, via The Bronx will face also undefeated Thanjhae “The Tiger” Teasley (13-0, 6 KOs) of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

THE 2024 WORLD Youth champion Adam Olaniyan has joined forces with Frank Warren and Queensberry ahead of his forthcoming professional debut in Dublin on March 14, live on DAZN.

The Irishman, 19, from Tallaght, is the newest addition to the Queensberry Heavyweight Battalion and the two-time European gold medalist will be trained by the highly respected veteran coach Paul Stevenson at the fabled Everton Red Triangle gym in Liverpool, where he will work alongside the likes of Nick Ball and Andrew Cain.

A seven-time National Champion, Olaniyan will enjoy performing on a huge platform for his debut, taking his place on the card at the 3Arena headlined by the WBA world super featherweight title showdown between Jazza Dickens and Anthony Cacace.

“I’m delighted to be getting my professional journey underway and no better place to do it than at home in Dublin,” said Olaniyan. “This felt like the right time to make the switch to the pros and it’s great to be doing that with the backing of Frank Warren and Queensberry. In what is an early clubhouse leader for Fight of the Year, Dalton Smith won the WBC Super Lightweight title with a sixth round stoppage of Subriel Matias at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Smith came out in round one landing hard right hands from distance. Round two saw Matias rev up his engine ad begin to land hard volume of power shots. In round two, Smith began to bleed from his nose. The two traded hard punches at close range with Matias beginning to impose his will on Smith. Smith started to bleed from his mouth and lip in the fourth round. Smith hung in there and started to give as good as he was getting. He started to gain confidence as he was able to withstand the best shots from Matias.

In round six, Smith wobbled Matias badly with two right and hands and then landed a perfect right hand to the side of the head that put Matias flat on his back. Matias got to his feet, but wobbled all over the ring and the fight was stopped at 2:24.

Smith, 139.6 lbs of Sheffield, ENG is 19-0 with 13 knockouts. Matias, 140 lbs of Fajardo, PR is 23-3.

In round one, Rodriguez dropped Diaz with a left hook.

Cintron Stops Sandoval in wild 1st round

Jeyvier Cintron stopped Victor Sandoval in a wild first-round of their 10-round bantamweight bout.

Seconds into the fight, Sandoval planted Cintron as he decked him with a perfect left hook. Sandoval got wild going for the knock out and it cost him as Cintron landed a straight left that put Sandoval on the deck. Cintron then landed another left that put Sandoval down again. Cintron scored a third knockdown with a right hook. Cintron finished off the fight but hurting Sandoval again with a hard flurry in the corner and referee Eddie Claudio stopped the fight at 2:40.

The co-main event will feature a 10-round US WBC Silver Super Lightweight Title fight between hometown favorite Bryce Mills (20-1, 7 KOs) of Liverpool, NY and Tobias Green (12-3-1, 4 KOs) of Lake Park, FL, adding regional intrigue and championship significance to the card.

Mills, 24, has made Turning Stone Resort Casino his home base of sorts as he has competed at the historic venue six times, registering six wins. A quickly rising contender in the super lightweight division, Mills aims to kick off 2026 with another victory, following a successful 2025, which included three dominant wins.

Also featured on the February 28 lineup will be the return of Manny “Jimuel” Pacquiao Jr. (0-0-1), continuing his professional journey under the guidance of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, following a controversial draw in his pro debut. Showcasing promise and composure in his pro debut, all eyes will be on Pacquiao Jr. as he competes near the International Boxing Hall of Fame, a place where his father was ceremoniously enshrined last year.

Highly regarded 19-year-old prospect Curmel “Big Deal” Moton (8-0, 6 KOs) will return to the ring in association with Mayweather Promotions, as he looks to extend his impressive unbeaten streak. A standout talent, Moton caught the attention of undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in the sport’s history.

Opponents for both “Jimuel” and Moton will be announced in the coming weeks.

Elif Nur Turhan has signed a new multi-fight extension with Matchroom Boxing and will make the first defence of her IBF World Lightweight Title on Saturday, January 31 in Newcastle – live on the Global Home of Boxing, DAZN.

The ‘Golden Turk’ Turhan (12-0, 8 KOs) last month solidified her reputation as one of the most dangerous female fighters on the planet when she captured the crown in Monte-Carlo with a fifth round demolition job over Brazil’s then unbeaten Olympic hero Beatriz Ferreira. 

It completed an incredible 2025 for the 30-year-old having previously knocked out both Shauna Browne and Rima Ayadi.

Now Turhan will kickstart her 2026 campaign with the first defence of her World Title at the end of this month against Australia’s Taylah Gentzen at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on an exciting undercard headlined by Bakhram Murtazaliev’s IBF Super Welterweight World Championship clash with the North-East’s own, Josh Kelly.

MONTREAL, January 9, 2026 — Eye of the Tiger will kick off the year in emphatic fashion at the Montreal Casino on February 5. Albert Ramirez will defend his WBA interim light heavyweight world title for the first time against former world champion and British contender Lerrone Richards.

“Richards is a fighter who has long been avoided, both on the British and the world scene. But when you work as hard as Albert Ramirez does, and you have his mindset, you don’t turn down any challenge. It will be quite a fight, but this first title defense is only the beginning of a great story for Albert,” added Ramirez’s manager, Karim Bouzidi of Versus Sports Management.

In August 2025, Albert Ramirez (22-0, 19 KOs) captured the WBA interim light heavyweight crown by stopping the world’s No. 9 contender Jerome Pampellone in the seventh round of a bout broadcast on DAZN and staged in Benghazi, Libya. That victory was the third of a sensational year for the Rio Olympic boxer, who also stopped Asian champion Michael Flannery and Croatian contender Marko Calic in three and two rounds, respectively, in Montreal. With David Benavidez moving on to compete at cruiserweight (200 lb) and Dmitry Bivol sidelined for an extended period, Ramirez is determined to prove that he is the man to beat at 175 lb.

On the other side, British southpaw Lerrone Richards (19-1, 4 KOs) is targeting a second world title in a second weight class against Ramirez. In 2021, Richards won the IBO super middleweight world title, becoming the first man to defeat heavy-handed Ecuadorian puncher Carlos Góngora. Previously, he handed Lennox Clarke the first loss of his 20-fight career to claim the British title, and also defeated former world champion Giovanni De Carolis to become European champion. After moving up to light heavyweight and winning his most recent bout, Richards is now ranked No. 10 in the WBA at 175 lb and will attempt to jump straight to the front of the line by challenging the interim world champion in Montreal on February 5.

In the co-main event, two titles will be on the line. Two-time Olympian Dzmitry Asanau (11-0, 5 KOs) will defend his WBC Continental and IBF Intercontinental lightweight titles against Argentine contender Claudio Gabriel Daneff (24-4-1, 11 KOs). Born in Belarus, based in Dubai, and training in Montreal, Asanau has enjoyed a meteoric rise since signing with EOTTM. Climbing the world rankings at breakneck speed, the Samuel Décarie-Drolet protégé is currently ranked No. 4 by the WBC and No. 11 by the IBF. Daneff, however, is not to be taken lightly. The WBC’s No. 39 contender is actually ranked higher than Asanau on BoxRec and previously held the WBC Continental lightweight title before vacating it, which Asanau later claimed. The Argentine champion has also held the WBC Latin American and IBO Intercontinental titles in the past.

On the undercard, EOTTM will present a championship clash between two undefeated fighters. In the red corner, Montreal-based Mehmet Unal (14-0, 12 KOs), now ranked No. 9 in the WBC light heavyweight rankings, will attempt to defend his Continental title for the second time. Across from him, Kosovo’s pride Altin Zogaj (17-0, 9 KOs) will look to continue his rise in his first fight in the Americas, while putting the brakes on the momentum of Marc Ramsay’s protégé.

Also in action, Thetford Mines favorite Thomas Chabot (11-1, 7 KOs) will look to return to the win column in a local matchup against Maritime puncher Dominic Babineau (13-2-1, 11 KOs). This bout will be Chabot’s first scheduled for 10 rounds and will also mark his debut at featherweight (126 lb), having recently decided to drop down a division.

At lightweight, Canadian Olympic medalist Wyatt Sanford (5-0, 2 KOs) will face Alexis Gabriel Camejo (10-5-2, 1 KO) in a six-round contest. Well known to Quebec fans, Camejo is one of only two fighters to have gone the distance with highly touted Colombian prospect Jhon Orobio, and he has also heard the final bell against Dzmitry Asanau. Super featherweight prospect Erik Israyelyan (4-0, 2 KOs) will also compete in his first scheduled six-round bout against French veteran Anthony Deloffre (9-4-1). Finally, in a four-round bout at 175 lb, Montrealer and former member of Canada’s national team Keven Beausejour (1-0, 1 KO) will make his Quebec debut against Czech boxer Petr Strnad (4-3-2, 2 KOs).

Topping the undercard is a rematch of one of the most memorable New England fights of the year, as Providence middleweight Ayowole Tom Jones goes to war once again with Jhony Rodrigo Dos Santos of Winchester, Massachusetts. Their first meeting was a knockdown, drag-out slugfest that had fans on their feet from start to finish, and the sequel is not expected to be any different.

LOS ANGELES (January 5, 2026) – Zurdo Promotions has announced it will co-promote the January 31^st “Gulf Coast Glory” card along with Knuckle Up Promotions, in association with Heil Law, just west of Corpus Christi at Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas.

Zurdo Promotions is led by three-time, two division World Champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs), the unified, reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) Cruiserweight World titleholder.

“Gulf Coast Glory” will mark the third event that Zurdo Promotions and promoted, including its inaugural event on December 18, 2020, in Galveston, TX, which Ramirez headlined, plus another pro show in his hometown of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico.

“Promotion is something I’ve always wanted to be involved in,” Ramirez explained. “Growing up on the streets of Mazatlán, I’ve always believed in being a bridge between my hometown and the United States. Francesca Hennessy and Ellie Bouttell both made weight today ahead of their WBC World Bantamweight Title final eliminator on Saturday, January 31 at the Copper Box Arena in London, presented by BOXXER, and broadcast live and free-to-air on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer and live worldwide on DAZN. 

Hennessy can take another big step towards world glory when she faces fellow unbeaten British boxer Ellie Bouttell in a final eliminator for the WBC World Bantamweight Title, with the WBC Silver Bantamweight Championship also on the line.

A win would put Hennessy in line to face Cherneka ‘Sugar Neekz’ Johnson, the current Undisputed Bantamweight Champion. However, Boutell, the Shanghai-based Cambridge graduate, will be coming into the bout with her own world title ambitions.

In the co-main event Gradus Kraus, makes his promotional debut for BOXXER. The 24-year-old from Oss, Netherlands is considered one of the most exciting prospects in world boxing. He has stopped eight of his nine opponents inside the distance and holds an amateur win over two-time Olympic gold medallist Arlen Lopez. 

Kraus will face Glasgow boxer Boris Crighton who has previously gone the distance with former IBO World Champion Lyndon Arthur and should provide the rising Dutch star with the toughest test of his career so far.

Lauren Price MBE will defend her WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO and Ring Magazine World Welterweight Titles against Stephanie Pineiro Aquino on Saturday, April 4 at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff. This event, presented by BOXXER, will be broadcast live and free-to-air on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

Olympic gold medallist and unified world champion Lauren Price MBE (9-0, 2 KOS) is rapidly building a legacy as one of the greatest fighters of her generation. 

The 31-year-old can already stake her claim as one of Wales’ most decorated athletes of all time having excelled not only in boxing but also kickboxing and football. 

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics she became the first boxer from Wales and only the second ever female from Great Britain to win a gold medal, and as a professional Price became Wales’ first ever female world champion when defeating former undisputed champion Jessica McCaskill. 

Most recently, Price triumphed over Natasha Jonas in a landmark bout at the Royal Albert Hall to unify the welterweight world titles and has since been calling for an undisputed fight with WBO ruler Mikaela Mayer.   

Before an undisputed fight is possible, Price must first overcome her mandatory challenger Stephanie Pineiro Aquino (10-0, 3 KOs). 

Currently ranked #3 in the world by The Ring, Aquino is unbeaten in her ten professional contests and is the reigning WBA Interim World Welterweight Champion. 

Known as ‘The Medicine’, Aquino has been tipped as the latest boxing star from Puerto Rico following in the footsteps of famous fighting sisters Amanda and Cindy Serrano. 

Aquino can expect a lively reception in Cardiff as Price fights at home in Wales for the first time since her historic win over McCaskill in 2024.

NEW YORK CITY (January 1, 2026) – Irish welterweight contender Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) has had to withdraw from his planned January 16th, 12-round International Boxing Federation (IBF) World Welterweight Title Eliminator against Australian Liam Paro (26-1, 16 KO) in Australia. Due to a significant illness that sidelined Donovan from training and sparring for more than three weeks, he had to withdraw.

The winner of the Jan. 16 fight between No. 2 rated Paro and No. 3 Donovan would have been designated as the No. 1, mandatory challenger for IBF Welterweight World Champion Lewis “The Croc” Crocker (22-0, 11 KOs), against whom Donovan has previously lost two highly disputed, heartbreaking matches in Crocker’s hometown in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Donovan has won 18 of 20 rounds versus Crocker only to be gutted once again, unable to fight in the IBF Eliminator.

“I’m extremely disappointed to have to withdraw from the fight,” Donovan said. “I was confident of beating Paro. I missed three weeks of training due to illness and my coach, Andy (Lee), took the decision out of my hands. I want to apologize to all the fans in Australia who were looking forward to the fight. I will be back stronger in 2026. I wish Paro well and hope that we can fight in the future.”

“If we don’t learn from our mistakes then we are doomed to repeat them,” added Lee, who also co-manages Donovan with NYC-based Atty. Keith Sullivan. “I’ve been in this situation before with my other boxers and it never goes well. There was no way Paddy could train and fight with the viral chest and respiratory infection he had, so I made the decision to pull him out of the fight. Paddy is still one of the best welterweights in the world with a huge future in the sport.”

Donovan should be back training soon and ready to get back in the ring by late March.

HAMILTON, Ontario, Canada (December 31, 2025) – World cruiserweight contender Ryan “The Bruiser” Rozicki’s long-awaited ring return is officially scheduled for March 7^th against Gerardo Mellado in the 10-round main event on a card presented by Rozicki’s promoter, Three Lions Promotions, at Centre 200 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.

“We are looking to start off 2026 with a bang in Canada with our first show on March 7^th on the East Coast of Canada in Nova Scotia,” Three Lions Promotions Managing Director Daniel Otter said. “Rozicki will be the main event and although he had a slow 2025 due to injury, we are confident 2026 will be an active one and before the end of 2026, Ryan will be cruiserweight champion of the world. He looks great in training and is dialed in.

“We will also be doing a series of cards throughout 2026 across the country from coast to coast to showcase Canadian and International talent to the world. We have some big news to share in the coming months, so stay tuned!”

A native of Sydney, the 30-year-old Rozicki (20-1-1, 19 KOs) hasn’t fought since December 7, 2024, when he fought to a 12-round draw against Yamil Alberto Peralto (17-1), for a myriad of reasons. Prior to the aforementioned fight, Rozicki only fought once in 2023, registering a sensational knockout of Nigerian knockout artist Olanrewaju Durodola (43-9, 39 KOs) at the 1:47 mark of the opening round. Both of these fights were at Centre 200, where “The Bruiser” is unbeaten in 7 fights with 1 draw and 6 knockouts.

Rozicki’s period of inactivity was attributable to two main factors. Firstly, after securing the position as the number one mandatory challenger for the World Boxing

Council (WBC), he awaited his scheduled world title bout against the reigning WBC World Cruiserweight Champion, Noel Mikaelian (28-3, 12 KOs). Mikaelian declined to face Rozicki on four separate occasions, citing a promotional contract dispute and injuries as primary reasons for him not fighting Rozicki as ordered by the WBC.

The WBC subsequently designated Mikaelian as Champion in Recess, while elevating the prior Champion in Recess, Badou Jack, to world champion status and requiring him to face Rozicki and their fight was scheduled for last May. However, Rozicki was forced to withdraw from the scheduled world title bout against Jack due to a right bicep injury sustained in April during training camp.

Rozicki, sporting a phenomenal 95% knockout ratio, was scheduled to fight Akani “Prime” Phuzi for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Cruiserweight title on October 25 in Sydney. However, the bout was cancelled after Rozicki reinjured his right bicep.

“I have been sidelined for more than a year now due to this injury and I haven’t knocked anybody out in nearly 2 years,” the determined Rozicki explained. “It’s frustrating but I can now say I’m 100-percent and ready for what’s to come. I need to get this fight to get me back in the swing of things and then I’m coming for those world title belts. I’m not overlooking my opponent, either. He can crack. He’s also tough and has been much more active than me. I am focused on my next job at hand in the ring on March 7^th.”

The 33-year-old Mellado is an orthodox fighter who lost a 10-round decision to current IBO Cruiserweight World Champion Juergen Uldedaj in his last action on April 5th, marking Mellado’s first fight outside of his native Chile.

“Coming into hostile territory isn’t new to me,” Mellado explained, “My last fight was in (Manchester) England and I took it on less than two weeks’ notice. I will be coming to Canada for a knockout, not leaving it to the scorecards like my last fight. And, of course, I want to take Rozicki’s rating with me back to Chile. Lots of people duck Ryan, but not me; I’m a fighter coming to ruin his night in his country.”

Rozicki, currently ranked No. 2 by the WBC and No. 5 by Ring Magazine, is targeting Mikaelian, or IBF and Ring Magazine Cruiserweight World Champion Jai Opetaia (29-0, 23 KOs), as Ryan pursues his goal of becoming the first Canadian-born Cruiserweight Champion of the World.

Other announced fights for March 7 include an All-Nova Scotia showdown between a pair of popular local boxers, Brett Beaton (6-4, 4 KOs) and David Logue (4-1, 4 KOs), in a 10-round match for the vacant National Championships of Canada (NCC) Super Middleweight Championship.

Undefeated super bantamweights prospect Meilyn Sanchez Martinez (3-0, 1 KO), fighting out of Hamilton, Canada, by way of Mexico, faces Silvia Duran (4-3), of Costa Rica, in a 6-round match.

Ring in the New Year this Saturday, January 3, with DAZN as their 2026 boxing slate kicks off with an exciting showdown featuring Amanda Serrano vs. Reina Tellez at Coliseo Robert Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico. (December 29, 2025) – Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing proudly announces the signing of WBO #5- and WBC #11-ranked middleweight Vito “White Magic” Mielnicki Jr to an exclusive promotional contract.

23-year-old Mielnicki (22-1, 13 KOs), from Roseland, New Jersey, started boxing at age seven and went on to compile an amateur career record of 147-22 on his way to becoming a four-time Junior National Golden Gloves champion in addition to competing internationally and winning countless other national championships, including the 2017 USA Junior National Championships. Mielnicki was also on the USA High Performance Team.

An entertaining fighter with matinee idol looks, Mielnicki turned professional in 2019 and has fought his way to several regional titles and been impressive in numerous nationally televised appearances in supporting bouts of PPV broadcasts.

Mielnicki made two ring appearances this year. In June, in front of his hometown New Jersey fans, Mielnicki scored a unanimous 10-round unanimous decision over Kamil Gardzielik (then 19-0) to win the IBF USBA, IBO Americas and WBC USA Middleweight Championships. And in his most recent ring appearance, Mielnicki stopped Samuel Nmomah (then 21-0) in nine rounds at ANB Arena in Riyadh, to win the WBO Global Middleweight Championship in November.

“I’m looking forward to having Sampson elevate my career to the world championship level, like he’s done with so many other fighters,” said Mielnicki Jr. “We’re looking to build in Atlantic City in my next three fights. I’m excited to bring big-time boxing back to New Jersey and have Sampson take my career to the next level.”

Naoya Inoue retained the undisputed Super Bantamweight title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Alan Picasso in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Inoue, 121.5 lbs of Yokohama, JAP won by scores of 120-108, 119-111, and 117-111 and is now 32-0. Picasso, 121.1 lbs of Mexico is 32-1-1.

Nakatani Decisions Hernandez

Junto Nakatani won a 12-round unanimous decision over Sebastian Hernandez in a super bantamweight bout.

Nakatani landed 297 of 837 punches. Hernandez was 273 of 921.

Nakatani, 121.6 lbs of Japan won by scores of 118-110 and 115-113 twice and is snow 32-0. Hernandez of Tijuana, MEX is 20-1.

With the wins by Inoue and Nakatani, it sets up a spring showdown between the two Japanese stars.

Garcia Wins Split Decision over Imanaga

Eridson Garcia won a 10-round split decision over previously undefeated Taiga Imnaga in a lightweight bout,

In round eight, Garcia dropped Imanaga with a crushing right hook to the jaw. That was the difference as Garcia won two cards by 96-93 and 95-94 tallies while Imanaga took a card 95-94.

Garcia landed 116 of 379 punches. Imanaga was 115 of 373,

Garcia, 134.5 lbs of Santo Domingo, DR is now 23-1. Imanaga, 134.1 lbs of Osaka, JAP is 9-1.

Tsutsumi stops Quintana in 4

Reito Tsutsumi stopped Leobardo Quintana in round four of a eight-round junior lightweight fight.

In round three, Tsutsumi was bleeding from the nose. In round four, Tsutsumi landed a big left that was foillowed by two rights to the head that put Quintana down and the fight was over at 1:14.

Tsutsumi, 129.7 lbs of Tokyo is 4-0 with three knockouts. Quintana, 129.8 lbs of Mexicali, MEX is 12-2.

Los Angeles, CA (December 26, 2025) RING Magazine Champion and WBO Women’s Super Flyweight World Champion Mizuki Hiruta is headed to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia today for The RING V: Night of the Samurai event.

Hiruta, (10-0, 2 KOs), is traveling from her native Okayama, Japan to support her fellow world champions from Japan including Naoya Inoue and Junto Nakatani.

The charismatic and colorful world champion, HIruta defended her title four times in 2025 marking a distinction as the only female world champion to accomplish that feat in the calendar year.

Promoted by Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions, all of Hiruta’s title defenses were broadcast globally on UFC Fight Pass ensuring her wealth of fans in Japan could view her remarkable performances. She is trained by the world-renowned Manny Robles in Southern California.
