NEW YORK CITY – 26 DECEMBER, 2025: HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, is delighted to announce today the addition of two huge World Title fights and the return of former World Champion Keyshawn Davis to the blockbuster ‘The Ring 6’ card on Saturday, January 31 at Madison Square Garden – live worldwide on DAZN.

Headlined by Brooklyn, New York’s own Teofimo Lopez defending his WBO and The Ring Junior Welterweight Titles against Newark, New Jersey’s WBC World Lightweight Champion, Shakur Stevenson, the stacked line-up is the first Ring card of 2026, delivered to fight fans by SELA and Matchroom Boxing.

‘The Businessman’ is back as former Lightweight ruler Keyshawn Davis, ranked No.1 by the WBO, makes his eagerly awaited return to the ring when he faces Jamaine Ortiz in the Co-Main Event of the evening. 

The 26-year-old, who is unbeaten with a record of 13-0, 9 KOs, has not fought since last February when he defeated Denys Berinchyk at Madison Square Garden Theatre. 

Ortiz (20-2-1, 10 KOs), whose only career defeats came against Teofimo Lopez in 2024 and the great Vasyl Lomachenko two years prior in 2022, will be out to upset his American foe at the World’s Most Famous Arena and look to earn a shot at the winner of the Main Event.

The WBC World Middleweight Champion Carlos Adames (24-1-1, 16 KOs) puts his belt on the line when the destructive Dominican fighter faces a spirited US challenger in Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams (19-1, 13 KOs). 

Adames hasn’t fought since he successfully retained the green and gold strap in a draw against Britain’s Hamzah Sheeraz – a man, Williams bravely fell to a late 11th round defeat in June 2024 – in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia back in February.

But Williams had since added a hat-trick of consecutive wins on his resumé against Ivan Vazquez, Patrice Volny, and Gian Garrido, and has earned his second-career World Title shot when he dares for greatness in NYC.

Brooklyn’s brilliant Bruce ‘Shu Shu’ Carrington (16-0, 9 KOs), meanwhile, faces a tough test on home turf when defends his WBC World Featherweight Championship against the seasoned Carlos Castro (30-3-0, 14 KOs), who last time out in 2024 succumbed to a split decision defeat by Stephen Fulton in Las Vegas.

Plus Brooklyn’s ‘Big Baby’ Jarrell Miller brings the Heavyweight action to the card when the 37-year-old (26-1-2, 22 KOs) comes up against the ‘Black Lion’ Kingsley Ibeh (16-2-1, 14 KOs), who has previously fought the likes of Jared Anderson and Gerald Washington.

And Saudi Arabia’s heralded and undefeated Welterweight prospect Ziyad ‘Zizo’ Almaayouf (7-01, 1 KO) returns to the USA – the scene of his overturned DQ victory in August 2024 against Michal Bulik in Los Angeles – when he meets Miami-based Kevin Castillo (5-2-1).

For Shakur, who will also be fighting just a few miles from his hometown of Newark, New Jersey, this represents an opportunity to become a four-weight world champion. 

The southpaw’s most recent fight came just two months after Teofimo’s triumph, when he claimed a unanimous decision win against mandatory challenger William Zepeda to retain his WBC lightweight belt during July’s stacked Ring III event at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York.

This Saturday, December 27, celebrate the holiday season with an exciting boxing event to end DAZN’s historic year: The Ring V: Night of the Samurai. Trenton, NJ (December 22, 2025)–CB Promotions will now stage it’s first fight card on Thursday night, January 15th at The War Memoria in Trenton, NJ.

The card will be the first show of the Tuesday Night at the Fights series that will be a monthly series that will take place in East Coast venues.

This is a special Thursday night fight.

In the main event, local favorite Shinard Bunch 21-3-1, 17 KOs of Hamilton, New Jersey takes on John Paul Manalong in a 10-round junior welterweight bout.

Bunch, 26, is a six-year pro and has wins over Shyngyzkhan Tazhibay (9-0) and former world title challenger Hank Lundy. Bunch is coming off a decision loss to Starling Castillo on August 15th in Plant City, Florida.

Manalong of Bogota, Colombia via the Philippines is 14-2 with eight-knockouts. The 37-year-old is a three year pro. He is coming off a loss to Mack Allison IV on December 14, 2024 in Baltimore.

Highly rated light heavyweight Gradus Kraus (9-0, 8 KOs) has signed a long-term promotional agreement with BOXXER as he looks to make his mark on the world stage and establish himself as a dominant force in the sport.

It took Anthony Joshua longer then most expected, but once he caught up to Jake Paul, he bludgeoned the YouTube star and scored four knockdowns en-route to a sixth round stoppage at The Kaseya Center in Miami.

Paul started the fight by circling the exterior of the ring like he was trying out for the Olympic track team, not really looking to engage and looking to land a pot shot from time to time. Joshua loaded up on several occasions and swung at air.

Finally in round five, Paul started to look fatigued and Joshua landed some body shots that started to slow Paul down Later In the round, Joshua landed a big right hand that put Paul on the canvas. Joshua started to smell blood and dropped Paul with another right. Paul tried to fight back and was able to get out of the round. With Paul hurt, Joshua scored two knockdowns in round six with the latter being a crushing right to jaw and the Paul did not beat the count at 1:31.

Baumgardner Decisions Beaudoin; Retains Unified 130-Pound titles

Alycia Baumgardner retained her IBF/WBA/WBO 130-pound titles with a 12-round unanimous decisions over Leila Beaudoin

In round four, Beaudoin began to swell under left eye.

At the end of round seven, Baumgardner landed a short right to the side of the chin that sent Beaudoin down.

Baumgardner, 129.2 ls of Dallas won by scores of 117-110 twice and 118-109 and is now 17-1. Beaudoin, 130 lbs of Quebec is now13-2.

Anderson Silva Knocks Out Tyron Woodley in 2

50-year-old Anderson Silva stopped Tyron Woodley in round two of a scheduled eight-round cruiserweight bout featuring former UFC champions.

In round two, Silva landed a perfect right uppercut that dropped Woodley hard. Woodley got up but was unable to continue at 1:33.

Silva, 101.4 lbs of Brazil is now 4-2 with three knockouts. Woodleym 194 lbs of Saint Louis is 0-3.

Harvey Decisions Cervantes

Jahmal Harvey scored a six-round unanimous decision over Kevin Cervantes in a super featherweight bout.

In round one, Harvey dropped Cervantes with a left hand.

Harvey landed 185 of 460 punches. Cervantes landed 37 of 196.

Harvey, 129.6 lbs of Oxon Hill, MD won by scores of 60-53 on all cards and is now 2-0. Cervantes, 130 lbs is now 5-1.

In round six, DuBois dropped Panatta with a right hook to the jaw,

Yokasta Valle retained the WBC Strawweight title with a 10-round umajority decision over Yadira Bustillos.

Valle was cut over her right hairline in round three due to accidental headbutt. In round four, Bustillos was cut over her right eye.

Valle landed 154 of 504 punches. Bustillos was 136 of 541.

Valle, 104.8 lbs of San Jose, CR won by scores of 98-92, 96-94 and 95-95 and is now 34-3. Bustillos, 104.6 lbs of Las Vegas is 11-2..

Avious Griffin rebounded from a a knockout defeat to stop Justin Cardona in the opening round of their eight-round welterweight bout.

In round one, Griffin landed a huge left hook that staggered Cardona to the ropes and to the canvas and he did not beat the count at 2:59.

Olympic Silver medal winner Keno Marley won his pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Diarra Davis Jr. in a cruiserweight bout.

Early in round one, Marley landed a perfect right on the whiskers that sent Davis down.

Marley landed 103 of 222 punches. Davis was 25 of 150.

THE TROPHIES AND CHAMPIONSHIP BELT

The champion of each division’s championship fight (featherweight, super lightweight, middleweight, heavyweight) will have the opportunity to lift the José Sulaiman Trophy and its Flame of Hope. That trophy will be awarded to all four champions, who will also advance to compete for the World Boxing Council’s Silver Title in 2026, and receive a cash prize of $100,000 (the runner-up will receive $50,000).

Additionally, the championship belt is always synonymous with boxing, and this tournament is no exception. Each champion will be awarded this belt in recognition of their efforts throughout the competition.

But that’s not all. There will also be four distinct categories honoring the standout performances of the 2025 Grand Prix:

1. Wings of Excellence Trophy – Awarded to the tournament’s best boxer

The first trophy stems from a clear concept: flight, ascent, superiority. The wings emerge from the original flame as a symbol of sustained greatness. This award honors the fighter who shone from the first day to the last—the one who maintained flawless, unbroken performance, always above the rest. Not just the most consistent, but the most complete; the embodiment of the ideal boxer within the Grand Prix. It’srecognition for the one who stood “above them all.”

2. Heart Aflame Trophy – For the tournament’s breakout star

If there is a staple that defines boxing, it’s that of the fighter who endures and overcomes. The one who turns adversity into momentum. This trophy, depicted by a heart engulfed in flames, honors the fighter who demonstrated the purest bravery of the “underdog” or “dark horse” during the tournament.

That competitor who may have been knocked down, who perhaps teetered on the edge of defeat, but found the strength to rise and triumph. This award celebrates the boxer with the biggest heart, the one who turned the fight into an epic tale of resilience.

3. Glove Trophy – For the tournament’s best knockout fighter

With a bold design—a single glove etched with lines evoking the fiery energy of flames—this trophy recognizes the fighter with the most devastating knockout of the competition. It´s a prize for the destroyer, the one who electrified the arena with raw power and lethal precision. The one who delivered the knockout that will forever be remembered in Boxing Grand Prix history.

4. Combat Spirit Trophy – For the best fight of the tournament

Finally, this brand-new awards honors something that transcends victory or defeat: The brotherhood forged in the exchange of blows. Inspired by the concept of sportsmanship, this trophy recognizes the tournament’s best fight while also celebrating the human connection fighters built through mutual respect, dedication, and shared courage. It’s the statuette that honors the purest essence of ring honor.

COACHES ARE ALSO RECOGNIZED IN THE GRAND PRIX FINALS

The World Boxing Council also unveiled a surprise this Friday, as the trainers of each champion will be recognized with a belt that honors them for guiding and coaching the champions through a grueling journey that began in March of this year with 128 title contenders and will culminate this Saturday with only four at the top.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA – December 19, 2025 – With great excitement and anticipation, the official weights were set for the WBC Boxing Grand Prix Finals taking place this Saturday in Riyadh at 6 pm local time/10 a.m. Eastern in the United States live on DAZN.com. The fighters in each division made weight, with some special allowances considered due to the long journey and limited adjustment time after their flights. 

Featherweight

In one of the most anticipated fights of the night, Mexican boxer Brandon Mejía M,osqueda (professional record: 12-0 with 10 KOs), one of the sport’s brightest young power-punching prospects, will face undefeated Italian Muhamet Qamili (17-0-1, 8 KOs), known for his technical mastery and ring precision.

Note: A 2-pound allowance was allowed for this division due to the long flights  and limited time for weigh-ins before the competition for each fighter. 

This fight promises to be a clash of styles: the explosive power and youth of Mejía against Qamili’s refined technique and undefeated experience in the Grand Prix. 

Super Lightweight 

The super lightweight final will feature Colombia’s Carlos Utria (13-0, 11 KOs), known for his blend of technique and power, against Uzbekistan’s tactical and dynamic Mujibillo Tursunov (9-0, 8 KOs), who has showcased solid boxing skills throughout the tournament.

A 2-pound tolerance was also applied in this division due to travel logistics and scheduling. 

Utria comes in undefeated with a 13-0 record, aiming for win number 14 with his offensive style, while Tursunov has shone with his relentless pace and constant pressure—making this matchup a can’t miss showdown. 

Middleweight

Another highly anticipated matchup will feature Canada’s Derek Pomerleau (15-0, 11 KOs), a well-rounded boxer with knockout power, taking on Australia’s Dylan Biggs (17-1, 9 KOs), who has showcased skill and precision round after round.

For the middleweight division, a tolerance of up to 2.5 lbs was allowed, considering the demands of travel and preparation. 

Both fighters enter this championship bout undefeated, with complimentary styles—Pomerleau’s power against Biggs’ technique and mobility—setting the stage for an evenly matched final. 

Heavyweight

In the heavyweight division, Argentina’s Kevin Ramírez (11-0-2, 4 KOs) will face Bosnia’s Ahmed Krnji? (7-0, 4 KOs)—two fighters who’ve used their size, physical strength, and determination to power through to this championship bout.

While there is no strict upper weight limit for the full weigh-ins, the official figures were reported to confirm both fighters made weight.

The WBC Boxing Grand Prix finals are set for this Saturday, December 20th in Riyadh, where the tournament’s four champions will be crowned and the José Sulaimán Trophy will be awarded.

Ramon Cadenas stopped Erik Robles in round five of a scheduled 10-round super bantamweight bout at The War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In round three, Cardenas landed a perfect counter right to the jaw that put Robles on the deck. In round five, Cardenas ducked under a left and landed another booming right on the chin that put Robles on his back and the fight was stopped at 1:21.

Cardenas, 124 lbs of San Antonio is now 27-2 with 15 knockouts. Robles, 123.6 lbs of Baja California, MEX is 16-4.

“The confidence I had in myself, I knew I could get him out of there. I’m not blowing smoke up my ass, but I knew I was at another level,” said Cardenas, post-fight. “I owe this performance to my new team. In training, I made sure I was focused when I was hitting the bag or even running. I used to catch myself dozing off. I learned to stay focused from my new trainers. I kept that in my head during the fight.

“I’m just finishing my work to become a world champion. I know Naoya Inoue and Junto Nakatani have their plans. I’d like the winner. I want a title shot against either/or. I want to fight the best competition. Coming up in ProBox, you’re used to fighting tough guys, so when you get to that level, you’re ready. When you come back, you must show you belong at that level and I think I showed that tonight.”

Conceicao Decisions Espadas

Hebert Conceicao won a 10-round unanimous decision over Elias Espadas in a middleweight bout.

In round 10, Conceicao landed a little shot that could have been a push, but Espadas went down for a knockdown.

Conceicao landed 264 of 682 punches. Espadas was 75 of 478.

Conceicao, 150.4 lbs of Salvador, BRA won by scores of 100-89 twice and 99-90 and is now 10-0. Esoadas, 160 lbs of Yucatan, MEX is 23-8-1.

Joeshon James won an eight-round makority decision over Yojanler Martinez in a super middleweight bout.

In round one, James landed a left hook that sent Martinez back on his heels and his glove touched the canvas for a knockdown. In round two, Martinez was docked a point for hitting behind the head. In round three, a rarity of a double knockdown where both guys landed a right hands that sent each other to the canvas. Martinez took the worst of it as James was up quickly and Martinez staggered all over the ring was allowed to continue.

James landed 99 of 530 punches. Martinez was 88 of 267.

James, 163 1/2 lbs of Sacramento, CA won by scores of 77-74, 77-73 and 75-75 and is 10-1-2. Martinez, 165 1/2 lbs of Las Vegas is 5-1-1.

Myquan Williams stopped George Rodriguez Pardo after round four of their eight-round welterweight bout.

In round two, Williams landed a little left that made Pardo drop his knee on the canvas for a knockdown. Williams continued to dominate and Williams corner stopped the fight after round four.

Williams, 141.6 lbs of Hartford, CT is 23-1-2 with 12 knockouts. Pardo, 145 lbs of Bogota, COL is 11-6.

Marlon Harrington scored an explosive first round stoppage over Bryan Polaco in an eight-round junior middleweight nout.

In round one, Harrington was cut over the left eye. At the end of the round, Harrington landed a huge but short right that landed perfectly on the chin that sent Polaco knocked on his back and the fight was immediately stopped at 2:53.

Harrington, 153,2 lbs of Detroit is 13-2 with 11 knockouts. Polaco, 153,2 lbs of San Juan is 7-1.

Kenyan Valle stopped Taran Ward in the opening round of their four-round super bantamweight fight.

In round one, Valle landed a perfect right to the jaw that knocked the mouthpiece of Ward and dropped him at the same time. Ward was hurt and Valle landed a big flurry that forced a referee stoppage just before the bell at 2:58.

Valle, 124.6 lbs of Lutz, FL is 2-0 with one knockout. Ward, 128 lbs of Saint Louis is 5-15.

Former WBC Youth featherweight champion Reina Tellez now replaces Erika Cruz in the 10-round world title bout contested under men’s rules with three-minute rounds, following an atypical finding in Erika Cruz’s Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) testing conducted prior to the event. Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano is the first-ever Puerto Rican undisputed world champion and the most decorated fighter in women’s boxing history, recognized by the Guinness World Records for the most boxing world championships won by a female in different weight classes. Serrano is Most Valuable Promotions’ first signee, who also signed the first ever lifetime combat sports contract with MVP and will become Chairwoman of MVP’s women’s boxing initiatives to lead the company’s efforts in identifying, signing, developing and marketing the promotion’s growing roster of female athletes post her in-ring retirement. Reina Tellez, a Team USA veteran who took up boxing in 2012, quickly established herself among the elites of the amateur scene. Her accolades include winning gold at the 2015 and 2017 National Junior Olympics, winning the 2018 National Golden Gloves championship, and back-to-back silver medals at the 2018 and 2019 National Junior Olympics. After making her pro debut in 2021–the lone technical draw on her record–she returned to boxing in 2023 and began her rise, winning her next three bouts by TKO. In June 2024, Tellez defeated Hungarian prospect Beata Dudek on the undercard of Gervonta Davis vs Frank Martin in Las Vegas. Just three weeks later in July 2024, Tellez successfully outpointed Wendellin Cruz to win the vacant WBC Youth featherweight title by unanimous decision, before dropping down to win the NABF super bantamweight and bantamweight titles later that year. The 22-year-old Tellez, of Irish-Mexican heritage, most recently defeated Mayela Perez by unanimous decision in September 2025. She resides in San Antonio, Texas and is represented by Boxlab Promotions.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Dec. 18, 2025) — Rohan “El Rayo” Polanco, the Dominican welterweight with championship aspirations in 2026, looks to kick off the new year with a statement-making performance.

Polanco will take on Mexican puncher Christian Gomez in a 10-round battle on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Polanco-Gomez will serve as the co-feature to the junior middleweight world title unification showdown between WBO champ Xander Zayas and WBA king Abass Baraou.

Polanco (17-0, 10 KOs) represented his country at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and signed with Top Rank the following year. Initially campaigning as a junior welterweight, he stopped the likes of Keith Hunter and Cesar Francis before moving to 147 pounds. Ranked in the top 10 by the WBO and IBF, he is closing in on a world title shot following a 2025 run that has included victories over Fabian Maidana and Quinton Randall. 

Polanco said, “I’m not coming to play on January 31. I’m coming to send a strong message to the division. Fighting as the co-main event at Coliseo de Puerto Rico is a great opportunity that I intend to take advantage of. Gomez (23-6-1, 21 KOs), a 12-year pro with 30 fights, has earned nearly all of his victories by knockout. His biggest test came in May 2022, when he went the distance with Uzbek phenom Shakhram Giyasov. The 32-year-old veteran is coming off consecutive decision losses to Nicklaus Flaz and Alberto Palmetta.

The undercard will also include the junior middleweight debut of Giovani Santillan (34-1, 18 KOs), as well as the return of rising Dominican middleweight Euri Cedeño (13-0-1, 12 KOs), in separate 10-rounders. 

Santillan, a former No. 1 welterweight contender, faces Courtney Pennington. The San Diego native bounced back from his May 2024 loss to Brian Norman Jr. by defeating Fredrick Lawson and Angel Beltran. The Brooklyn-born Pennington (17-11-3, 7 KOs) is a 13-year pro who has given stern tests to the likes of American Olympian Charles Conwell and Canadian contender Custio Clayton.

Cedeño steps up to take on Ivory Coast native Etoundi Michel William (16-2, 12 KOs). The 26-year-old signed with Top Rank in May and has won his last six via the fast route. William broke onto the scene with a victory over eventual world title challenger Jorge Garcia in January 2023, remaining undefeated until an October 2024 loss to Mexico’s Jose Miguel Borrego. He last fought in June, dropping a 10-round decision to top American contender Troy Isley.

In the 10-round super bantamweight main event, Cathedral City, California’s undefeated Jose Tito Sanchez (14-0, 8 KOs) will face Jesus “Eduardo” Ramirez Rubio (23-4-3, 17 KOs) of Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico.

26-year-old Jose Tito Sanchez started boxing at age seven and quickly found a home. From a fighting family, Sanchez’s grandfather is a former fighter and his younger brother, Leonardo ‘Leo’ Sánchez, is an undefeated super featherweight. A virtual punching machine in the ring, Sanchez’s style has been compared to the great Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez because of his old-school mannerisms and sustained focus on attacking his opponent’s body.

After turning pro in 2018, Sanchez won the WBC Latino Continental Championship by stopping Carlos Caraballo in three rounds in July 2023 and made two successful defenses, a unanimous decision over Walter Santibanes in which he threw more than 1,000 Punches over 10 rounds in December 2023 and a unanimous 10-round decision over Erik Ruiz in April 2024. In this fight, Sanchez will be returning from 14 months of inactivity due to injury.

A heavy-handed contender on the fringe who is still looking for a signature victory, 29-year-old Jesus Ramirez Rubio’s boxing alias is ‘KO-Reano’, Korean in Spanish. From Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, Ramirez Rubio turned pro in early 2016 and lost just one of his first 25 fights.

Ramirez Rubio is best known for one of his losses, a heartbreaking KO 9 in April 2024 to top-ranked Ramon Cardenas for the WBA Continental North America Super Bantamweight Title. Ramirez Rubio fought evenly with Cardenas for all nine rounds before running into a body shot he could not recover from in time. At the time of the stoppage, the scores of the bout were even at 77-75, 75-77 and 76-76.

Rubio spars with former world champion Miguel Berchelt, as well as former WBC Continental Americas featherweight champ, Bryan Acosta. He was last seen in the ring in November of this year, stopping countryman Carlos Daniel Valenzuela Pacheco in five rounds.

he WBA World featherweight champion Nick Ball will make a fourth defence of his title when he takes on the American mandatory challenger Brandon Figueroa on Saturday, February 7, at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

Since his triumph in seizing the WBA belt from Raymond Ford in June 2024 in Riyadh, the 28-year-old Ball has registered successful defences against Ronny Rios, TJ Doheny and, most recently, Sam Goodman, to retain his unbeaten (23-0-1, 13 KOs) status as champion.

The event, live and exclusive on DAZN, on February 7, will see him in world title action for a third time in his hometown of Liverpool.

Figueroa, 28 and known as ‘The Heartbreaker’, hails from Weslaco, Texas, and holds a professional record of 26-2-1 (19 KOs). On February 7, he will be in world title action for a third time, live and exclusive on DAZN.

Figueroa already holds the distinction of being a former two-weight world champion, with him winning the WBA world super bantamweight title with victory over Damien Vazquez in 2020, then adding the WBC championship to his title tally with a stoppage of Luis Nery the following year.

He lost his belts via a majority decision to Stephen Fulton before moving up to featherweight and becoming WBC Interim world champion with a decision verdict over Mark Magsayo in 2023. A second points defeat to Fulton came in February, but Figueroa returned to the win column with victory over Joet Gonzalez in July.

NEW YORK CITY (December 11, 2025) – Sullivan Management has signed junior featherweight prospect Brooklyn “The Big Deal” Barwick to an exclusive managerial contract.

Born in Newport Beach and raised in Laguna Beach (CA), Brooklyn packed up and headed east to New York City, where she settled in Manhattan, not Brooklyn, which has nothing to do with her first name. Her mother wanted to name her after Brooke Shields, but her father chose Brooklyn because it was close to Brooke, and he liked that it is a tough town.

The 26-year-old Barwick officially has a 4-0 pro record with 4 first-round stoppages, but she also has two KO wins from fights in South America that Boxrec.com, boxing’s official recordkeeper, hasn’t credited her for yet.

Barwick, a prominent social media brand influencer, entered professional boxing on March 1, 2025, without any amateur experience. Frustrated with California’s scene of influencer-boxing due to poor regulatory oversight, Brooklyn decided to switch to pro boxing.

“I was an athletic wrestler, gymnast and cheerleader in high school,” Barwick explained. “I heard about influencer boxing in Los Angeles and thought I’d try it once, but I liked boxing. I decided to turn pro and moved to New York City after I had a breakup because I needed a change. I don’t ever want to go back.”

Brooklyn trains at the New York City Cops and Kids gym in Brooklyn, under the guidance of trainer Jimmy Sosa, and she has become a good friend of another pro boxer, Nisa Rodriguez, another fighter managed by Sullivan Management, and a New York City Police Officer and former New York Golden Gloves star.

“Nisa suggested I sign with Keith Sullivan, who is an amazing manager,” Barwick said. “I spoke with Keith and signed with him. He’s very smart and he’s so well connected in boxing. A lot of people have said so many good things about him to me. I look forward to developing a closer relationship.”

A self-described “pitbull” in terms of her boxing style, as well as a workaholic, Brooklyn says she’s like a bulldozer going through people. Since arriving in the Big Apple, she has improved her head movement, punching from angles, and enhanced her footwork, in addition to becoming much more confident in the ring.

Barwick is also the lone female Jewish professional boxer in the United States, only one of two in the world. Her father is Jewish, and she plans to convert to Orthodox Judaism.

“We have limited representation in boxing,” Barwick noted. “I want to become the biggest thing in Jewish culture; inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and fill a boxing event for my people. And I want to make my name known to Jewish kids who someday will look up to me.”

Alexis Araiza-Mones is a 35-year-old professional boxer and dedicated mother of two who began boxing 12 years ago. As an amateur, she was ranked #5 in the nation, with two National Golden Gloves Championship wins in 2019 and 2021. As a pro, she rose to #8 world ranking and continues to push boundaries—both as an athlete and as a role model for her children and community.

MVP’s rising bantamweight contender and Amanda Serrano’s protege, Krystal Rosado is currently ranked the IBF #8 and WBO #10 contender. She most recently faced former 118lb world champion Shurretta Metcalf on Most Valuable Prospects 16 in October 2025 losing a hotly contested decision to the much more experienced Metcalf.

Tania “Tank” Walters, from Ontario, Canada transitioned to boxing in 2017 after a successful basketball career. She became a Canadian national champion before turning pro in 2019. Walters has built a 7-3 record while competing across Canada and internationally. Her breakout came in 2023 when she faced undefeated Mea Motu while challenging for the IBO super bantamweight world title, earning global respect despite the loss. She remains one of Canada’s most active fighters in the 118–122 lb divisions.

Abner Figueroa is a 26-year-old bantamweight from Naranjito, Puerto Rico who most recently earned a UD win in August 2025. 

Edwin Rodriguez, a native of Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, has been boxing since age six. As an amateur, Rodriguez was a standout in the Puerto Rican boxing scene, facing notable boxers including Emmanuel “Manny” Rodríguez, Oscar Valdez, Alberto Machado, Jonathan “Bomba” González, and Angel “Tito” Acosta, among others. He accumulated a record of 201 wins and just 25 losses, taking home a silver medal at the Junior Olympics in Quito, Ecuador, and made the second team of the Puerto Rico National Amateur Boxing Team. Rodríguez made his professional debut in 2012 and trains with the Galarza family at the Los Galarza gym in Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, considered to be a testing ground for rising prospects. Rodriguez most recently fought to a majority decision draw in October 2025.

Yandiel Lozano is a 19-year-old prospect from Caguas. He made his pro debut in July 2025, a UD win. He now looks to continue building his undefeated record.

Johniel Ramos Cotto is a talented 19-year-old athlete from Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. Standing 5’11”, Ramos first made his mark as a standout basketball player during his high school years. The tall orthodox fighter had an impressive amateur boxing career, compiling a record of 44 wins and 7 losses. He’s a two-time Puerto Rico Games champion, Mayagüez champion, and Punta Borinquen regional champion. Ramos is currently pursuing a Nursing degree at Ana G. Méndez University in Ponce.

Bayamon, Puerto Rico’s 24-year-old talent Caleb Tirado will make his pro debut against American Justin Hill. Tirado comes off a strong amateur career that saw him compete at the 2024 Olympic Qualifiers, 2023 Puerto Rican National Championships, 2022 Pan-American Games, and 2021 amateur world championships. Hill comes to the ring from Des Moines, Iowa, also making his pro debut on Saturday, January 3.

MVP’s undefeated Alex “Chop Chop” Chaparro, the 25-year-old Puerto Rican raised in Ridgewood, New York, competed at both the 2020 and 2024 USA Boxing Olympic trials. The gifted Puerto Rican athlete is also a high fashion model, having worked for Versace, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, and Polo Ralph Lauren, among others. After a first-round KO win in his pro debut on Most Valuable Prospects 6 in April 2024, Chaparro now stands with a perfect record of 6-0, 6 KOs.

Known for his thudding jab, advanced ring IQ and granite chin, Pulev’s technical style and 6’4” frame make him a threat for anyone in the division.

His opponent, Russian power-puncher Murat Gassiev boasts a fearsome 32-2 record with 25 KOs and a knockout rate over 78%. A former unified IBF and WBA World Cruiserweight champion, ‘Iron’ rose to prominence in the inaugural World Boxing Super Series in 2018 with a series of dazzling knockouts, including his demolition of Cuban danger-man Yuniel Dorticos and Polish warhorse Krzysztof Wlodarczyk. 

Since moving to heavyweight in 2019, the 32-year-old has racked up a host of eye-catching stoppage wins; including a fifth-round KO of Kem Ljungquist in 2024 and a recent TKO over American Jeremiah Milton in August. The IBA 2025 Men’s World Boxing Championships has seen over 400 boxers from 108 nations enter the competition over a two-week tournament, in a bid to claim a share of the record-breaking $8.32 million prize pool. 

The unprecedented prize-pool will be split between athletes, coaches and National Federations in a bid to reward the full ecosystem behind the sport – and further support and incentivise grass roots participation.  Gold medallists in each weight category will receive $300,000, Silver medallists earn $150,000, Bronze medallists taking home $75,000 and fourth and fifth-place finishers securing $10,000. Shields will defend her Undisputed Heavyweight World Championship for the second time in her first fight since signing a historic $8 million deal with Salita Promotions and Wynn Records—the largest contract in women’s boxing history. The high-stakes showdown marks her official return to the promotional powerhouse and sets the stage for one of the most meaningful fights of her career.

The highly anticipated event takes place at Little Caesars Arena, doors open at 4 p.m. ET, and will stream live on the global leader of boxing, DAZN.

On November 19, 2016, two decorated amateurs, Claressa Shields and Franchón Crews-Dezurn made their simultaneous professional debuts against each other. Shields entered that moment fresh off winning back-to-back Olympic gold medals, becoming the first American boxer, male or female, to ever accomplish the feat. Their debuts unfolded on the undercard of Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev, an Olympian-to-Olympian handoff that symbolized the path Shields was beginning as she stepped into the professional ranks. Shields won that night, launching a career that would redefine women’s boxing. Crews-Dezurn turned the loss into momentum, rebuilding herself into an undisputed world champion at Super Middleweight. Their stories diverged, but the tension of that shared beginning, and the unanswered question of what a rematch would look like, has persisted ever since.

CLARESSA SHIELDS:

“In 2016 I had just come off winning two Olympic gold medals, fresh out of the amateurs, and finding an opponent was tough, Franchón stepped in,” Shields said. “I’ve grown a lot since that first victory, going on to win nineteen world titles, the ESPY award, and countless other achievements, but me and Franchón have unfinished business that needs to be settled. She’s been poppin’ it like she can whoop me in a world championship fight. We went four rounds in our pro debut, and this fight will pick up from round five.”

My last few fights, I was dealing with injuries, but now I’m 100 percent. Franchón is elite, but I am super elite, and I plan on proving that come fight night.”

NEW YORK, NY – December 9, 2025 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced the signing of Britain’s undefeated WBC lightweight world champion and 2020 Olympian “Sweet” Caroline Dubois (11-0-1, 5 KOs) to its decorated roster of current and former world champions. Dubois, who is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in the sport, adds an immediate championship presence to MVP’s growing lightweight roster MVP British signees Ellie Scotney, Chantelle Cameron, WBO champion Terri Harper, Savannah Marshall, Ramla Ali, and Shannon Courtenay. WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois fights out of London, England. Her amateur career was nothing short of legendary, a dominant run that included winning the gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, becoming England’s first World Youth Champion (2018), and capturing four European Youth Championship titles between 2016 and 2019. This amateur dominance earned her the prestigious BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award in 2019. In 2021, she represented Team GB at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals. 

Dubois made her professional debut in February 2022 and quickly established herself in the lightweight division. In September 2023, she earned her first major professional title, winning the vacant IBO lightweight world title via unanimous decision. Her ascent continued in August 2024, when she defeated Maira Moneo to claim the WBC Interim lightweight title. Following a relinquishment of the title, Dubois was elevated to become the WBC lightweight world champion in December 2024. The 24-year-old southpaw successfully retained her titles in 2025, most recently securing a majority decision win against Bo Mi Re Shin in March. With her unbeaten record and undeniable star power, Dubois enters the MVP fold poised for unification fights and major global events.

Since turning professional in 2021, she has built an 8-2-1 record while competing in Europe and Mexico. Her style blends sharp European technique with the pressure and resilience she developed through extensive training and fighting in Mexico. That experience strengthened her body attack, inside exchanges, and overall volume — all of which have become defining elements of her approach in the ring. Panatta was selected as a primary sparring partner for undisputed champion Katie Taylor during Taylor’s high-profile camps for the Amanda Serrano mega-fights, including their historic Madison Square Garden bout. Serving as Taylor’s first choice across multiple camps reflects Panatta’s technical quality, toughness, and ability to mirror elite styles with accuracy. Those camps also provided key insights into championship-level preparation. Known for her professionalism, adaptability, and readiness to face challenges outside her home country, Panatta continues to gain momentum and expand her footprint in the sport. She speaks English and Spanish in addition to her native Italian.
