In the 10-round middleweight co-feature, Irish fan-favorite “King” Callum Walsh (16-0, 11 KOs) returns to 3Arena to face Tyler Denny (21-4-3, 1 KO). Scotland’s rising middleweight star Sam Hickey (5-0, 2 KOs), fresh off a Performance of the Night KO win on ZUFFA BOXING 07 in Bournemouth, battles Brad Axe (5-1) in an eight-rounder.

The preliminary card features a trio of middleweight bouts.

Connor Coyle (22-0, 10 KOs), making his first appearance in Dublin since 2017, fights upset-minded American Mark Beuke (13-3, 7 KOs) in a 10-rounder. Beuke earned a split-decision victory over Antonio Woods in February on ZUFFA BOXING 03

Former Commonwealth super welterweight champion Louis Greene (18-4, 12 KOs) makes his 2026 debut in a six-rounder against an opponent to be named.

HARLEM EUBANK VS. DAVID PAPOT QUOTES

Harlem Eubank said: “You have to look to fight the guys, the others don’t wan to fight if you want to become world champion.  And Papot is of that ilk, he is world championship class, but that is what I am prepared to overcome.

“I hope he comes like he says he will, and brings the fight because that is exactly what I am going to do.  And if that is the case then do not blink.”

David Papot said: “After my fight with Liam Paro in Australia, I needed another big fight and fighting a Eubank, in London, is just that.

“There is a lot of pressure on Harlem, he has everything to lose and I have everything to gain.  And when you are the main event, live on DAZN, you cannot run, you have to come and fight.”

Nisse Sauerland said: “We picked David Papot because he was the toughest opponent we could get.  Harlem wants to test himself and this is an eliminator for a world title.

“There’s Liam Paro, the winner of Romero and Teofimo or the winner of Garcia and Benn.  And all of these fights are live on DAZN, the global home of boxing.”

Mark Neilson said: “The fans are going to love this.  It’s a full circle moment for us, in that Harlem fought on one of our shows earlier in his career and you could see the star quality that night.

“He is not just a name, this kid can box and now he is on the cusp of a world title.”

EVERY WORD FROM THE FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE FOR PACHECO VS. ALEEM IN CARSON, CALIFORNIA

Eddie Hearn

“Welcome everybody to Los Angeles, California, as the big nights keep on rolling on DAZN, you would have recently seen another huge announcement with the the welcoming of the PBC now too, to the global home of boxing.

“Every major promotional company now here, chances to make fights and continue this incredible schedule on the platform.

“This weekend, we have one of our first ever stars with Matchroom Boxing in the USA, with Diego Pacheco against Immanuwel Aleem in a breathtaking fight at Dignity Health Sports Park, a brilliant night of boxing throughout before we go next week to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia for the return of Anthony Joshua.

“Just a reminder as well, here tomorrow at 4pm will be the official weigh-in and the launch press conference for Andy Ruiz Jr. against Damian Knyba on September 4 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey as the big-time schedule keeps rolling on for DAZN.”

Diego Pacheco

“First and foremost, I want to thank God, I want to thank my management team, Sheer Sports, my my training team, Buddy McGirt, and Coach Omar, everyone who’s been part of my team.

“This has been one of the best camps I’ve ever had, and I’m just ready this Saturday. We’ve done everything necessary to prepare for anything Aleem brings. I’m just looking forward to a great night of boxing and and having my hand raised.

“I definitely take him seriously, he’s a good fighter and I take that nothing from him. But he’s never been in there with anyone like me. I’m confident in the work we put in this camp. Ever since I turned turned pro, I’ve never let my foot off the gas. I’ve always done what I’ve had to do. That’s why I’m here today. I didn’t get this far just to get this far.

“Thank you Matchroom for coming into this new agreement with us and you know we extended our contract and and hopefully this contract will get us into those World title fights.

“I’m not looking past this Saturday. We’re looking forward to this fight, but um you know, we have our our eyes set on on on the bigger picture, you know, and that’s becoming a World champion.

“I feel like I’m one of the best fighters in the in the division for sure. Hopefully Matchroom and Sheer Sports can figure out how they can get me this World title fight.”

Immanuwel Aleem

“I’m just prepared for the occasion. There’s a body on Saturday; I got to go get it. I’m just prepared. I’m a real boxer. I’ve been in this sport since I was 12. I know what is at stake. Besides all the other stuff that comes around this is hands versus hands. And I know what these hands can do. They know these hands can do.

“I know he holds probably three to four times a round. Referees need to really identify that and hopefully he doesn’t make this a hugging match, and we can really throw hands. I fight everybody who’s been tall, look at my record. I’m normally the shorter fighter nine times out of 10. It’s another day in the boxing ring for me. It’s my time for myself.”

Buddy McGirt

“I believe in my heart that the world hasn’t seen the best of Diego. There’s more to him than meets the eye. He was getting by doing what he was doing, but there’s more to him.

“This camp we just added a little bit. We can’t do too much at once; you know what I mean? We just add a little bit more flavor to what he was doing and we’ve prepared for a tough fight.

“We know what’s ahead of us Saturday night. We’re not stupid. The key is this to get in there and handle our business.

“For a guy his height, he he could just do so much. The key is just to put everything together Saturday night. We know that when you fight someone that has everything to gain and nothing to lose, they’re dangerous. I just see the look in this camp’s eyes. We know we got what we got to do Saturday night. If we do what we supposed to do, everything will be cool.”

Omar Aleem

“We are prepared fearless extremely fearless. We are coming. We want those belts. I said we wanted Pacheco and here we are. We trained for you, we’ve been ready and he’s just a blockage for Canelo. That’s what we want, so when we get get rid of you, we want Canelo.”

Andy Cruz

“I feel good, I’m ready to be back in the ring. I have learned something with every fight whether I win or lose, I’m anxious to be back and show what Andy Cruz has. My focus right now is on Saturday and to give a great show against a fighter like Montoya.”

Abraham Montoya

“We are very excited to be here. I saw that last fight between Andy and Muratalla, and I do believe that he won that fight, so being able to face him is a blessing. As soon as I got that my team immediately accepted we said yes.”

Albert Gonzalez

“I’m very grateful to be here. I thank God, I thank my team, Top Rank and Brad Goodman, everybody that made this possible to for me to be here. I take every fight serious, like it’s a World title fight to get me closer to that World title fight.

“This fight right here for sure is another one of those fights that’s going to get me to that level. A fighter like him, a veteran that’s been at that World title level, he’s been a contender and me being able to perform and not just win but look great against a type of opponent like this is what’s going to get me to that level.

“I feel like this guy has been at World title level already, so they can hopefully stop calling me a prospect after this fight, and be able to get me those bigger fights, like former World champion or something like that, and get me closer to that World title.

“I believe that that I’m ready for it, I’m hungry, I’m in the gym day in day out. I know what I want and and that’s to be a World champion.

“I want to get to those World titles as quick as possible, God’s timing is always the best, but I believe that if they give me the the the phone call or the opportunity for my next fight or by this year, I’m ready for it.”

Aaron Alameda

“I’m very happy and I’m very grateful to be here. I have a lot of experience, so I’m ready to give it my all on Saturday.”

Saul Sanchez

“He’s young, he’s hungry and I’ll be here. I’m ready to give him another great memory. It’ll be be a big crowd on Saturday and it’s going to be a great atmosphere.”

Bruno Rios

“We’ve been getting great sparring with Robert Garcia about for two years now, we’re ready. We train really hard and we’re ready for this type of fight.”

Leo Atang

“I’m very grateful to be here and all the opportunities that you’ve given me so early in my career.

“I’ve been taking it in like seeing what LA is about. I’ve not too much but I’ve enjoyed it so far.

“I feel like I’ve been a bit of a victim to that hand speed because, you know, they’ve been jumping in and waving it off.

“There’s stuff we can take away and learn from; slow it down, be more patient and just let it come naturally.

“I’ve got all the support around me, you and you and everyone at Matchroom. I’ve got all my boys coming out as well to come in to support my family coming out to support. I’m excited for the journey and this is just another step of it.”

Samuel Contreras

“I want to thank Matchroom, DAZN and Top Rank for bringing this event here in LA. I’m ready, focused and I feel very confident. I’ve been training myself for this fight and I’m ready to put on the show.

“It’s a good thing staying more active, it keeps our mind sharp, keeps us disciplined. I’m thankful for the opportunity and can’t wait for this Saturday.”

Frank Espinosa

“I’m ready. I’m about to go out there and show my skills again. I’m going to go in there, do my thing. Last fight I was very excited, this fight, I’m going to show my skills and break them down.”

Federico Pacheco

“It’s a very big night for the family on Saturday night. First of all, I want to thank God and I want to thank my managers for this opportunity on the same as my brother.

“It’s a a young group of Heavyweights, but I’m the only Mexican on the rise. I take a lot of pride in that and I’m going to make sure I exceed the expectations of a Mexican Heavyweight and I’m excited for Saturday.”

KNOCKOUT ARTIST AND RISING STAR ERNESTO “TITO” MERCADO SIGNS LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP WITH SALITA PROMOTIONS AND WYNN RECORDS

ATLANTA (July 16, 2026) – Knockout artist and rising star Ernesto “Tito” Mercado has signed a long-term partnership with Salita Promotions and Wynn Records.  The 140-pound contender will face Emmanuel Tagoe in the co-main event on the Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott blockbuster card on Saturday, Aug. 15 live on DAZN (9 p.m. ET) from State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Mercado (19-0, 18 KOs) has knocked out eight straight opponents, including his last three against former champions or world title challengers.  The 24-year-old last went the distance in 2023 in his only fight outside of North America.

Mercado will compete in the stacked 140-pound division, where he has his sights set on the division’s top stars, including Shakur Stevenson, Richardson Hitchins, Keyshawn Davis, Dalton Smith and Emiliano Vargas.  The 5-foot-10 native of Pompano, Calif., is currently ranked No. 4 by the WBO and No. 5 by the IBF.

Mercado has gone past the sixth round just twice as his level of opposition has steadily increased since turning professional in 2021.  As an amateur, he fought against top international competition and compiled a 278-11 record while capturing 21 national championships.  Mercado was introduced to boxing by his father and longtime trainer, Ernesto Sr.

“Dmitriy Salita and Ruben Branson saw the same thing my team has always seen in me—a future world champion,” Mercado said.  “What made this the right fit was that it felt like family.  That’s important to me because boxing has always been a family business.  My father has been my trainer since I was five years old, and I wanted to be with a team that believes in me, keeps me active and shares the same vision for where my career is headed.”

Mercado will look to stay busy after signing with Salita Promotions and Wynn Records, fighting less than two months after his June knockout victory over Juan Carlos Burgos.

“There were other opportunities, but this one felt different,” Mercado said.  “Salita stays active, puts on quality shows and keeps his fighters busy. I’m an active fighter, and I want to fight the best as often as possible.  I believe this partnership puts me in the best position to become a world champion.”

Another added benefit is the platform that Claressa’s events provide, with Shields a consistent attraction on DAZN and one of the top box office performers in the sport.

“It’s a huge opportunity to fight on Claressa’s event on DAZN,” Mercado said.  “Claressa brings excitement, she brings fans, and she always puts on a big event.  I’m looking forward to being part of that and doing my job in the co-main event.  I want to set the tone early and give the fans something to remember.”

With his top-five rankings in the IBF and WBO, Mercado not only looks to stay active but challenge for a world title in the immediate future.

“The goal is simple – become a world champion,” Mercado said.  “That’s what we’ve been working toward my entire life.  Every fight is another step closer, and I want to put myself in a position where the biggest fights can’t be avoided.”

In Tagoe (34-2, 16 KOs), Mercado will face a veteran opponent who has only suffered two defeats – a 2022 decision to boxing superstar Ryan Garcia and his professional debut in his native Ghana.

“There wasn’t a lot of time to find an opponent, but I think they picked the right guy,” Mercado said.  “He went the distance with Ryan Garcia, so this is an opportunity for me to make a statement. I want to go in there, get him out of there and continue climbing the rankings.”

Dmitriy Salita, of Salita Promotions, and Ruben Branson, of Wynn Records, have watched Mercado’s career from a distance and pounced at the opportunity to sign boxing’s most prized free agent.  Together, they look to advance Mercado to a world championship and bridge the gap to develop Mercado into a star outside the ring.

“We’re excited to welcome Tito Mercado to Salita Promotions alongside our partners at Wynn Records,” said Dmitriy Salita, President of Salita Promotions.  “Tito is one of the most exciting young fighters in boxing today.  His knockout power, discipline, and relentless style make him a must-watch every time he steps into the ring.  We believe he has the talent and work ethic to become one of the biggest stars in the sport, and we’re proud to be part of what we believe can be a historic journey.”

“From the first conversations, it was clear Tito Mercado embodies everything we’re building at Wynn Records—discipline, confidence, fearlessness and an unwavering commitment to greatness,” said Ruben Branson, CEO of Wynn Records.  “Tito has already shown he belongs among the very best in the sport.  Together with Dmitriy Salita, our vision is to build more than champions—we’re building global brands and creating opportunities that elevate fighters to the biggest stages.  Tito is a tremendous addition to our family, and we’re excited to help him take the next step toward becoming a world champion while continuing to grow the future of our organization.”

Presented by Salita Promotions in partnership with Wynn Records, Claressa Shields Promotions and Route 30 Promotions, and presenting sponsor Zeus Network, the historic event marks the first women’s headliner at State Farm Arena.  Remaining tickets for Aug. 15 are available on Ticketmaster.com

MCGIRT: WE HAVEN’T SCRATCHED THE SURFACE OF PACHECO’S TALENT

Buddy McGirt believes his new charge Diego Pacheco has yet to scratch the surface of the talent and skills at his disposal, as they begin their new partnership this Saturday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California against Immanuwel Aleem, live worldwide on DAZN.

Pacheco (25-0 18 KOs) defends his WBC Silver and WBO International Super-Middleweight titles and holds lofty positions in all the governing bodies – #3 WBO, #4 WBC and IBF, #7 WBA. The LA star penned a new deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom recently and the 25 year old fights at the esteemed California coliseum known as the War Grounds for the second time, having previously KO’d Maciej Sulecki there in 2024.

Aleem (22-4-3 14 KOs) will be looking to crash into the top-end of the rankings with the biggest win of his career and bounce back from defeat in his last outing in March, a distance reversal against Lester Martinez for the interim WBC World title.

McGirt has trained some or the biggest names in the sport and after completing his first camp with Pacheco, the former two-weight World champion and Hall of Famer thinks he has levels and gears to go through as he steps up his pursuit of World title fights at 168lbs.

“I don’t believe he’s scratched the surface yet with his talent, he hasn’t used all of the talent that he has,” said McGirt. “He’s got by doing just what he’s been doing, but the key is to make him better, to make the fights much easier. He has a talent to make fights much easier than rather making them hard. If you scratch the surface and bring the best out and the tools that he has that he doesn’t use, and have him get confidence in it, it makes it so much easier.

“On Saturday, I expect him to be Diego, but at the same time, I expect him to do a few of the things you worked on, not everything, because you can’t expect that the first fight out, but if he does one or two of the things that we worked on, it’ll be a very successful night.

“First, you two got to click. Then you got to see what makes him tick and what doesn’t. This young man has a lot of talent. He’s got a long way to go and a lot to offer and a lot to give.

“There’s things that he can do that I don’t think he knows he can do yet. Things that I see that he has the ability to do. The key is not to throw everything at him at once.

“He’s a young man that’s willing to learn. A lot of fighters, you say something to them, they always got an answer, like “Yeah, I know, but.” Well, if you know, then if you know, you don’t need me. If I say something to him or show him something, he’ll try and do it and bam. And then when he makes a mistake before I can correct him, he says, “I messed up.”

“I felt like like we needed someone who’s been at that that high level, who’s been a World champion, who’s been in the corner of a lot of World championship fights,” said Pacheco. “I feel Buddy was was a perfect guy.

“In the past, I feel like I’ve had coaches who who just let stuff slide because of my height and the things I can do, they they they thought I could get away with certain things. Buddy’s a real old school fighter who, you know, everything has to be on point.

“Everything has to be a certain way. And I love his boxing IQ. I love the way he likes to to stick to the jab. I feel like that’s just what I needed to get to that next level.

“This is my first camp with Buddy. We’ve been doing a lot of a lot of learning, fixing little stuff that wasn’t really fixed in the past. There’s a lot of stuff that Buddy wanted me to work on that at first was a little awkward for me because it was new, but after getting it down and getting comfortable with with everything, I feel really good and sharp.”

Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano is the first-ever Puerto Rican undisputed world champion and the most decorated fighter in women’s boxing history, recognized by the Guinness World Records for the most boxing world championships won by a female in different weight classes. Serrano is currently the unified featherweight champion holding the WBO, WBA and Ring Magazine titles, and is MVP’s first signee and signed the first-ever lifetime combat sports contract with MVP to become Chairwoman of MVP’s women’s boxing initiatives post her in-ring retirement. In her most recent bout on MVPW-03 in May 2026, Serrano tied the all-time women’s boxing record as she earned her 32nd professional KO against Cheyenne Hanson live on ESPN.

“I’ve dedicated my career to creating opportunities for women’s boxing and bringing our sport to the biggest stages possible, so to headline the first-ever championship boxing event on TikTok is incredibly meaningful,” said Amanda Serrano. “Women’s boxing deserves to be seen by as many people around the world as possible, and this partnership gives us the chance to introduce our sport to a massive global audience in a completely new way. I’m also proud that Lucrecia and I will be making history in the first-ever unified women’s world championship contested over 12 two-minute rounds. Every time I step into the ring, I’m fighting for Puerto Rico, and on Friday, August 21, I have the opportunity to make history for my island, break the all-time women’s knockout record, and defend my world titles. This will be a night to remember for Temecula and boxing fans around the world.”

Lucrecia Manzur is a 27-year-old fighter from San Miguel, Tucuman, Argentina. She made her professional debut in 2020, and entered her first title challenge in 2023 for the vacant Argentina super featherweight title before challenging Karen Carabajal for the South American super featherweight title. Later that year she moved down to the featherweight division, immediately challenging Daniela Bermudez for the Argentine title. In 2024, Manzur entered her latest dominant streak, collecting the South American title, then winning the Argentine title by TKO. In November 2024, Manzur successfully defended her titles while also winning the WBO Latino featherweight title by dominant unanimous decision. She earned a TKO win in her next defense and most recently won by UD in defense of her WBO title. She is the #2 WBO contender.

“I’ve been asking for this opportunity for a very long time. Ever since I started boxing, I’ve dreamed of fighting for a world title, and now I have the chance to do it against one of the sport’s true icons and someone I’ve always admired—Amanda Serrano. I have tremendous respect for everything Amanda has accomplished and for the legacy she has built. But once we step into the ring, my focus is on winning,” said Lucrecia Manzur. “I’m confident in my preparation, my abilities, and the work we’ve put in together. In one month, I believe Tucumán and all of Argentina will be celebrating a new world champion.”

“From day one, MVP has challenged the traditional boxing model by creating the biggest moments and opportunities for fighters while finding new ways to bring the sport to fans around the world,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. “Partnering with TikTok to deliver the first-ever championship boxing event on TikTok LIVE is another example of that vision to grow the audience for boxing and make world championship fights more accessible than ever. This event will also further activate MVP’s loyal fanbase among hard-to-reach Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences, demographics that MVP has consistently reached better than anyone else in the sport. This would not be possible without the MAFFE, the MOST ACCOMPLISHED FEMALE FIGHTER EVER, Amanda Serrano. The most watched, the most paid, the most titles, and maybe on Friday, August 21, from The Pechanga Resort in Temecula, California, live on Tik Tok globally, the most knockouts ever – The MAFFE, Amanda Serrano.”

“This partnership reflects our commitment to bringing the world’s most compelling live sports moments to our global community, while giving fans new ways to discover, engage, and interact with the athletes and creators they love,” said  Shen Gao, Head of LIVE Operations, Americas at TikTok. “We’re excited to bring the first championship boxing event to TikTok LIVE alongside MVP, spotlighting Amanda Serrano as she works toward a historic milestone.”

Outside the ring, Verduzco, a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States, enjoys traveling and reading, owns a coffee truck, and is currently learning piano.

“I’m excited to step back into the ring for my first fight under MVP,” said Roxy Verduzco. “I was supposed to fight back in May, but due to circumstances out of my control it didn’t happen. So to now be making my MVP debut on the West Coast in California is special. I’m proud to represent the West Coast and ready to be back in action after a long layoff. This will be an action packed card full of great fighters and I’m one of them.”

About Amanda Serrano

Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano is the first-ever Puerto Rican undisputed world champion and the most decorated fighter in women’s boxing history, recognized by the Guinness World Records for the most boxing world championships won by a female in different weight classes. Serrano, currently the unified featherweight champion holding the WBO, WBA and Ring Magazine titles, is Most Valuable Promotions’ first signee, who also signed the first ever lifetime combat sports contract with MVP and will become Chairwoman of MVP’s women’s boxing initiatives to lead the company’s efforts in identifying, signing, developing and marketing the promotion’s growing roster of female athletes post her in-ring retirement. Serrano faced off against Katie Taylor for the first time at Madison Square Garden in April 2022, making history as the first women’s fight to headline Madison Square Garden, earning global acclaim and winning Sports Illustrated’s Fight of the Year and The Ring’s Event of the Year for 2022. Taylor vs. Serrano was also nominated for Sports Business Journal’s Event of the Year, a testament to the global reach and power of the event. Following the historic bout, Serrano defeated Sarah Mahfoud and Erika Cruz en-route to becoming the undisputed featherweight champion. She successfully defended her undisputed title in August 2023 against Heather Hardy before making history again, defeating Danila Ramos in October 2023 in the first-ever women’s unified world championship contested over 12 three-minute rounds—equal to a men’s championship fight. She threw a career-high 1,103 punches in the bout, solidifying her status as a trailblazer for gender equality in boxing. In recognition of her achievements inside and outside the ring, Serrano was named the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) Female Fighter of the Year for 2023, as well as Sports Illustrated’s and Boxing Scene’s 2023 Women’s Fighter of the Year. She continued her dominance in July 2024, scoring a second-round knockout victory over Stevie Morgan in a super lightweight bout.

Serrano went on to face Katie Taylor in the most anticipated women’s boxing rematch in modern history in the co-main event of MVP’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson card on Netflix in November 2024. The undisputed super lightweight title fight averaged 74 million live viewers globally and became the most-watched professional women’s sports event in US history with 47 million AMA in the US. The bout ended in a razor-thin decision victory for Taylor, sparking global debate and skyrocketing Serrano’s social following to over 1.2 million. #Serrano also trended at #2 on X in the US, Brazil, Spain, and Canada post-fight, further cementing her status as a global icon. Serrano then faced Taylor a third and final time atop an all-women’s event at Madison Square Garden, commanding the world’s attention once again on Netflix, continuing to break barriers for women in combat sports with a historic trilogy. Serrano made her long-awaited homecoming to Puerto Rico in a unified featherweight title defense of her WBO and WBA featherweight titles in January 2026, defeating challenger Reina Tellez. In her most recent bout on MVPW-03 in May 2026, Serrano tied the all-time women’s boxing record, previously held by Christy Martin, as she earned her 32nd professional KO against Germany’s top contender Cheyenne Hanson.

That same year, he captured gold at the 2021 Elite World Championships— becoming the first American male to win the world title since 2007, while competing as one of the youngest athletes in the tournament. The next year, he took home silver at the 2022 Continental Championships and continued to dominate at the international level in 2023, winning gold at the Santiago Pan American Games. The finish qualified him for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he finished as a quarter-finalist. The 22-year-old Harvey signed with Most Valuable Promotions ahead of his professional debut–a knockout win–on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 14 in August 2025, heralded as one of the top prospects in American boxing. Heavyweight Dainier Pero Looks to Continue His Climb Against Aleem Whitfield Live on ESPN

ORLANDO, FL (July 15, 2026) – Undefeated heavyweight contender Dainier Pero (13-0, 10 KOs) has patiently climbed the rankings with dominant performances, but the talented Cuban believes his biggest opportunities are still ahead

.

Ranked # 9 by the World Boxing Association (WBA), Pero returns to action on Saturday, August 8, 2026, when he squares off against Aleem Whitfield (10-1, 6 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. The fight will air live on ESPN as part of MVPW-05, presented by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) in association with Boxlab Promotions.

For Pero, every fight is another opportunity to prove he belongs among boxing’s elite heavyweights. Although Whitfield enters the ring with an impressive record and plenty to gain himself, Pero isn’t overlooking the challenge.

“Aleem Whitfield is a good fighter, and anytime you step into the ring with someone who has only one loss, you know you’re facing someone who’s coming to win,” said Pero. “That’s why I prepared the way I always do, with complete focus and respect for my opponent. But I also believe in everything my team and I have been working toward. I’ve spent my entire career preparing for moments like this, and on fight night I plan to show why I’m one of the best heavyweights coming up in the sport.”

The former Cuban amateur standout understands that a victory would move him one step closer to the biggest names in the division.

“There is a lot on the line in this fight,” Pero explained. “A strong performance puts me in position for a chance to move even higher in the world rankings. My goal has always been to become heavyweight champion, and every opponent in front of me is another step toward that dream. I know what’s at stake, and I’m ready to take advantage of this opportunity.”

As his profile continues to grow, Pero says fans can expect the same aggressive, disciplined style that has made him one of boxing’s most exciting heavyweight prospects.

“When people watch me fight, I want them to see a heavyweight who can do everything,” Pero said. “I have the power to end a fight at any moment, but I also believe in using my boxing skills, movement, and ring IQ. I never step into the ring looking for an easy night, I come to give the fans an exciting performance every time. They’re the reason we do this, and I want them leaving the arena knowing they watched someone who’s ready for the top level.”

Boxlab Promotions President Amaury Piedra has watched Pero’s development firsthand and believes the undefeated heavyweight is beginning to enter the prime of his career.

“Dainier has all the qualities you’re looking for in a future world title contender,” said Piedra. “He’s disciplined, he’s dedicated to improving every day, and he’s never shied away from challenging himself. His amateur pedigree speaks for itself, but what has impressed me most is how he’s continued to evolve as a professional.”

Piedra also believes Whitfield presents the type of challenge that can elevate Pero’s standing in one of boxing’s most competitive divisions.

“Aleem Whitfield is a legitimate opponent, and that’s exactly the kind of fight Dainier needs at this stage of his career,” Piedra continued. “We’re not interested in taking shortcuts. We want Dainier to earn his place among the elite heavyweights by facing quality opposition. A convincing win on ESPN would be another major statement and continue building the momentum toward the marquee fights we know are coming.”

Creating His Own Opportunity: Demetrius Andrade’s Campaign for a Third World Title begins on July 24 at Mohegan Sun Arena

PROVIDENCE, RI – Demetrius ‘Boo Boo’ Andrade (32-1, 19 KOs) makes his highly anticipated return to the ring on Friday, July 24 when he headlines CES Boxing’s Championship Jackpot 2026 at Mohegan Sun Arena against Brazilian veteran Douglas Ataide (20-5-1, 11 KOs).

Tickets for Championship Jackpot 2026 are quickly selling out.  Purchase yours now at cesfights.com.

For nearly two decades, Demetrius Andrade has been one of boxing’s most gifted but avoided world champions. A US Olympian, three-time, two-division world champion and one of the greatest fighters ever produced by New England, the Providence native has spent much of his career chasing the biggest names in the sport.

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Caleb Plant, and the Charlo brothers are just a few of the boxers who chose to look the other way despite Andrade’s best attempts to lure them into the ring.

Instead, Andrade was forced to move to higher weight classes in search of a marquee opponent who would help cement him as one of this generation’s best fighters.  When such an opportunity finally presented itself against David Benavidez, Andrade’s personal circumstances couldn’t have been worse.

While preparing for that high-profile showdown, Demetrius’ mother became terminally ill and his younger brother was shot and left paralyzed.   Few outside Andrade’s inner circle understood the emotional weight he carried into the biggest fight of his career.

“I was literally going from one hospital floor to another—seeing my mother in a coma and then going upstairs to see my little brother—while trying to prepare for the biggest fight of my career,” reflected Andrade. “That’s something no one can prepare you for.”

With his family in disarray, Andrade made alternate training plans so that his father could stay behind to care for his mother and brother.

“My father has always been my head trainer,” says Andrade, “but because of what was going on with my mom and my brother, he stayed behind and I worked with Andre Rozier, who stepped in and did a great job helping me prepare.  We did the best that we could under the circumstances.”

Despite the emotional burden, Andrade reasoned that he couldn’t risk pulling out of the fight because there was no guarantee that he would get the opportunity again.

Demetrius got off to a fast start on fight night, out working Benavidez for the first few rounds.

“I thought I boxed well early,” agreed Andrade. “I was landing clean shots, especially to the body, while using my movement and controlling the pace. I was using a lot of energy, but I felt good.”

While the activity was winning him rounds, Andrade noticed that his best shots were not having an effect on the bigger Benavidez.

“I’m not taking anything away from him – he won the fight – but there was a huge difference between the fighter I saw at the weigh-in and the one standing across from me on fight night.”

Andrade fought valiantly until a Benavidez right hand in round four turned the tide. Two rounds later, the fight was over.

Having suffered the loss of his mother and his first professional defeat, Andrade decided that it was time to step away from the sport for a period.

“I needed some time away to deal with everything,” explains Andrade.  “I focused on my mind, body, soul, and my family.  Boxing is what I love, but we’re more than just fighters.”

After a period of mourning, Andrade focused on life outside the sport, dedicating time to his family and developing several thriving businesses.

Feeling refreshed and motivated, Andrade decided that it was time to come back.

“I wanted to come back earlier, but after taking a year off, there wasn’t any momentum,” he explained.  “That’s when I started talking with Jimmy Burchfield.”

The partnership between Andrade and CES Boxing Founder Jimmy Burchfield, Sr. pits one of the best fighters to ever come out of Rhode Island with the biggest promoter the Ocean State has had. It’s a union that was destined to happen eventually.

“Jimmy and I have known each other for a long time,” said Andrade.  “I’ve always respected Jimmy and everything he’s done for boxing in New England.  He’s one of the hardest-working promoters in the sport. I realized I didn’t want to keep waiting for opportunities anymore. I knew together we could make things happen.”

For Burchfield, this was an opportunity to work with one of the few great fighters from New England that he did not previously promote.

“Demetrius is one of the greatest fighters ever produced in New England,” said Burchfield. “He’s accomplished almost everything there is to accomplish in this sport, but we believe he still has another championship run left in him. July 24 is only the beginning.”

The first stop in their union is a bout against Douglas Ataide, a 35-year-old Brazilian who has shared the ring with the likes of former middleweight world champion Ryota Murata and world title challenger Jorge Heiland.  The rugged Brazilian has never shied away from difficult assignments and now receives the biggest opportunity of his professional career.

“I give Douglas a lot of credit,” said Andrade. “We reached out to a lot of fighters with bigger names who didn’t take the fight. Douglas stepped up and accepted the opportunity, and I respect that. Once the bell rings, though, it’s my job to hurt him.”

While Demetrius is fully focused on handling business against Ataide on July 24, he has very specific goals in mind for the final stage of his career.

“I want to become a three-division world champion,” said Andrade without hesitation, “but there’s also unfinished business.  There are fights that should have happened years ago that still make sense today.  Caleb Plant, the Charlo brothers, Edgar Berlanga, Jaime Munguia.  I’m ready to fight all of them.”

And while Andrade would welcome any one of those fights, he makes one thing clear: “I’m not waiting anymore.  We’re creating our own opportunities. I still believe the 168-pound division is wide open for somebody with my skills, and I’m coming back to show everyone what I’m capable of.”

Championship Jackpot 2026
takes place on Friday, July 24 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, headlined by the long-awaited return of former 3-time, 2-division world champion Demetrius ‘Boo Boo’ Andrade against Brazil’s Douglas Ataide and WBC International Featherweight Champion ‘King’ Kevin Walsh against Dannis Arias.  Don’t miss it!

BiYu Promotions’ Yusniel Abrahante Ready to Shock Undefeated Luis Coria on ProBox TV This Saturday

HOUSTON, TX (July 14, 2026) – Every fighter waits for the opportunity to change the course of their career. For Yusniel Abrahante (7-2, 1 KO), that opportunity comes this Saturday.

The BiYu Promotions super flyweight will face unbeaten knockout artist Luis Coria (5-0, 5 KOs) in a six-round bout live on ProBox TV from the Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino, California. Coria has knocked out every opponent he’s faced as a professional, making him one of the division’s rising prospects. Abrahante, however, isn’t concerned with records or predictions.

“This is the type of fight every boxer wants,” said Abrahante. “Luis is undefeated, he’s confident, and people expect him to win. I respect what he’s done, but once we step into the ring, none of that matters. I’ve put in the work, I’ve prepared for this moment, and I’m ready to show everyone that I belong with the best young fighters in this division.”

The 25-year-old Cuban knows what’s at stake. A strong performance on a nationally televised card could open doors to bigger fights and bigger opportunities.

“A victory changes everything,” Abrahante said. “It puts my name on people’s radar and proves I can compete at this level. That’s what I’ve been working toward since I turned professional. I’m not looking past this fight, but I know what a win could mean for my career.”

BiYu Promotions President Bobby Harrison believes this is exactly the type of challenge that allows fighters to take the next step.

“We’ve never been interested in protecting our fighters,” Harrison said. “If you’re going to become a contender, you have to beat good fighters, and Luis Coria is a very good fighter. Yusniel wanted this opportunity because he believes in himself, and so do we.”

Harrison says an upset victory would immediately elevate Abrahante’s standing in one of boxing’s deepest weight classes.

“This is the kind of fight that can change a career,” Harrison added. “A win over an undefeated prospect on ProBox TV would show the boxing world that Yusniel is ready for bigger names and bigger opportunities. He’s worked hard for this moment, and now he has the chance to make a statement.”

Known for his technical style, ring IQ, and calm demeanor under pressure, Abrahante has steadily developed under the BiYu Promotions banner. Saturday’s matchup gives him his biggest stage to date—and his toughest test.

As for his mindset heading into fight night, Abrahante kept it simple.

“I’m coming to win,” he said. “That’s the only thing on my mind.”

RUIZ JR. FACES KNYBA AT PRUDENTIAL CENTER, NEWARK, NJ ON SEPT 4 – LIVE ON TNT AND DAZN

Andy Ruiz Jr. makes his long-awaited return to the ring against Damian Knyba on Friday September 4 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey – the third headline show of TNT Sports and DAZN’s “The Fight,” the new?monthly?live?boxing?series, and?will?be broadcast?co-exclusively?in?the?U.S.?on?TNT,?truTV?and DAZN and?worldwide?on?DAZN.???

TICKETS GO ON PRESALE ON JULY 16  AND ON GENERAL SALE ON JULY 17 – VISIT PRUCENTER.COM FOR MORE DETAILS

Former unified Heavyweight ruler Ruiz Jr. (35-2-1 22 KOs) is back in action after a two-year absence from the ring and having penned a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom last week, Mexico’s first ever Heavyweight king is ready to reignite his quest to become a two-time World champion.

The 36-year-old stunned the sporting world in June 2019 when he dethroned Anthony Joshua on a historic night in New York, and last tasted action in August 2024 in a back-and-forth majority draw with Jarrell Miller in Los Angeles, the third bout in a row in his home city following wins over Chris Arreola and Luis Ortiz.

Standing in the way of Ruiz Jr’s plans to get back to the summit of the Heavyweight division is Knyba (17-1 11 KOs), with the Polish giant looking end ‘The Destroyer’s’ grand plans at the first hurdle. The 6ft 7in is looking to bounce back to winning ways at the first attempt after taking on newly anointed WBC champion Agit Kabayel for the interim title in Germany in January. Knyba fights at the Prudential Center for the fourth time in his career, and the 30-year-old can move into line for a World title crack with victory.

“I’m going to be fighting in Newark, New Jersey on September 4 baby,” said Ruiz Jr. “After we get this victory, I would love to fight all the guys that have the belts the Oleksandr Usyk vacated and we’re going to become a two-time champion next year, let’s get it.”

“I can’t wait to be back at the Prudential Center, my second home,” said Knyba. “I’m excited to be back in the ring in front of the New Jersey and New York fans, and they will fill the seats with white and red.”

Ruiz Jr’s clash with Knyba leads a stacked card in New Jersey, with the co-feature bout pitting another new Matchroom signing Vito Mielnicki Jr. against World Middleweight title challenger Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams

Mielnicki Jr. (23-1 13 KOs) penned a deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom recently, and immediately steps into the biggest fight of his career to date on home turf. The 24-year-old made his pro debut at the Prudential Center in June 2019 when he was still in High School, and the Roseland, NJ native is looking to make strides in the 160lbs division by claiming a big win in his Matchroom bow.

For Williams (20-2 12 KOs) this must-win bout behind enemy lines represents a massive chance to get right back into the World title mix following a spirited performance in his first World title battle in Orlando in March, taking WBC champion Carlos Adames the distance.

“Every fight is another chapter in my story, and on September 4, I’m ready to write my biggest one yet,” said Mielnicki Jr. “I respect Ammo Williams because he has proven himself against top competition, but this is my time. I’ve dedicated my life to becoming a World champion, and every sacrifice I’ve made has prepared me for moments like this.

“When that bell rings, fans are going to see a fighter who is hungry, confident, and ready to prove he belongs among the elite. I’m coming to make a statement and take another step towards a World title.”

“The ‘Ammo Show’ is coming to you live on TNT Sports and DAZN!” said Williams. “I am brimming with excitement to have this platform and opportunity to display my talents globally once again. After my previous World Championship bout with Adames, I learned valuable lessons about what it takes to dominate at the highest level.

“The hardest thing for me to do was separate from my family for the first time, all for the sake of seclusion and total focus. I have taken my talents to Dallas, TX to train with Derrick James, a current undisputed World Champion creator, and everyday I get to soak in new knowledge from a completely different perspective. This is the move and sacrifice that will unlock my superstardom and propel me to the level of undisputed World Champion.

“I feel refreshed, renewed, happy, and focused to leave the world wide-eyed, and gasping for air from the artistic mutilation of a human being live on global television. Don’t blink, this bout just might steal the show!”

Further early undercard announcements for the card see another hometown talent will look to shine in their backyard as Newark’s Zaquin Moses fights for the eighth time in the paid ranks. Moses (7-0 3 KOs) has already recorded a pair of six round wins in 2026, and the 21-year-old’s first fight at home will also be his first eight rounder.

“We ina bityyyyyy!” said Moses. “Make sure y’all come support watch me beat on someone NEWARK! We outside! #homecoming.”

“We are excited to welcome Matchroom Boxing to Prudential Center for the first time,” said Dylan Wanagiel, Vice President, Sports Properties and Special Events, Prudential Center. “We are proud to provide a stage for elite competitors hailing from around the world and also?those fighting in their own back yard here in New Jersey. This event promises to deliver an exciting showcase of the sweet science to Brick City, and we look forward to the unique energy of Fight Night.”

“This is going to be a great night in New Jersey,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “It’s great to have Andy as part of the Matchroom team, and everyone knows that at his best, he can be a devastating performer. Andy is driven to getting back into the World title mix, so September 4 is a must-win night for him against the giant Pole Knyba.

“Mielnicki Jr. vs. Williams is a cracking fight in the Middleweight division, with Vito stepping up in his first bout with Matchroom to take on the always-dangerous Ammo who has the World title experience to build on – the winner of this one is going to arrow in on a massive fight at 160lbs later this year.

“I’m excited to see Zaquin fight at home for the first time in his young career, it’s really important that rising stars like Zaquin get the opportunity to shine in front of their own fans at home.

“There’s going to be plenty more top-class action to be added to the card on a night of first for so many, not least for us at Matchroom as we head to the fantastic Prudential Center side the first time with our first promotion as part of the exciting new series “The Fight” with TNT and DAZN – I cannot wait to get to The Garden State for this huge night on September 4.”

MATCHROOM AND DAZN LAUNCH PROJECT SERIES ON AUG 28

Eddie Hearn and Matchroom and DAZN are delighted to announce the launch of a new ‘Project Series’ in association with Boxlab Promotions – with the first event taking place at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida on Friday August 28, with Corey Marksman taking on Christian Barreto for the WBA Continental Americas and WBO Global Lightweight titles.

Project Series is designed to develop and test the rising stars and young talents alike, providing a breeding ground for the next title contenders in the sport, and pit prospects against each other to provide even more exciting fight nights live on the global home of boxing, DAZN.

Marksman (13-0-1 9 KOs) gets his wish after he called on promoter Eddie Hearn to give him more opportunities after his last outing at Caribe Royale in March, where he defeated Jaycob Gomez to land the WBA strap he defends for the first time in August. The 25-year-old took his sixth unbeaten record from his opponents that night and will be out to do the same and add the WBO Global strap in his second ten round bout and tenth contest at Caribe Royale.

“My time has come,” said Marksman. “Everything I been asking and working for and main event Marksman has arrived!”

Barreto (15-0 9 KOs) boxes for his first titles and the first ten round bout of his career, and the Puerto Rican known as El Capitán, backed by Miguel Cotto Promotions, can burst into the big time by taking out Marksman in his third fight on US soil, and second at Caribe Royale.

“I’m very happy for this opportunity and truly grateful to my team and the WBA and WBO for making it possible,” said Barreto. “This is exactly the kind of fight I’ve been looking for, I’m more than ready to show the world what I’m made of and come out victorious. The fans are going to enjoy every second because, as I always say, whenever you watch El Capitán, you’re guaranteed action.”

“We are very excited about this great fight for Christian against Corey Marksman,” said Héctor Soto, President of Miguel Cotto Promotions & H2 Entertainment. “It’s the opportunity he wanted for the world to see ‘El Capitán’s’ talent. We know his discipline and quality and on August 28, everyone will witness the best Lightweight prospect in Puerto Rico.”

The co-main event is an all-Florida affair between two more unbeaten talents as Alex Bray takes on Antraveous ‘Yamz’ Ingram over ten rounds at Super-Welterweight. Bray (11-0 8 KOs) went the distance in his first ten round action in February at Caribe Royale, making it 11 wins from 11 in the paid ranks for the 20-year-old who turned pro in July 2023.

Ingram (13-0-1 7 KOs) fights at Caribe Royale for the 11th time in a row, and the 27-year-old believes a taking Bray’s unbeaten record can see him make a splash in the 154lb division.

“Being undefeated is something I’ve earned through hard work, discipline, and staying focused every single day,” said Bray. “On August 28, I plan to protect that record and show everyone that I’m ready for bigger opportunities.

“I respect Antraveous for stepping into the ring, but when the fight starts, my only goal is to put on a dominant performance and continue proving that I’m one of the rising prospects to watch. My plan is to take him out.”

“It’s Yamz season – anything in my way must fall,” said Ingram. “I’m putting on for my city. On August 28 I will be win big and make my name at 154lbs.”

Two more bouts confirmed for the first Project Series card sees unbeaten Lightweight Kaipo Gallegos (12-0-1 9 KOs) take on Desmond Lyons (11-3 2 KOs) over eight rounds, and Puerto Rico’s Carlos DeLeon (8-0 6 KOs) meets Nicaragua’s Maxwel Montes (13-5-1 7 KOs) over eight rounds at Super-Featherweight.

“I am delighted to launch the Project Series live on DAZN,” said Hearn. “Giving young talents and contenders a platform to showcase their skills on the global home of boxing is vitally important to their progression, as is matching them tough to create more great fight nights for subscribers.

“There is no better partner for this exciting new series than Amaury Piedra and the Boxlab Promotions and Caribe Royale teams. This series extends our continued work with Amaury and Boxlab, confirms the fantastic Caribe Royale as one of the best and most important venues for boxing in the U.S.”

“Caribe Royale is proud to partner with Matchroom Boxing to launch the exciting, new Project Series,” said Amaury Piedra, CEO of Boxlab Promotions. “These upcoming events align with Caribe Royale’s Strategy of providing our guests, and local residents alike world class entertainment options.

“By partnering with Matchroom, the world’s biggest promoter, we ensure that this series will be one of the most exciting events in boxing. The depth of Eddie Hearn and his Matchroom team will ensure a progressive series that sets up fighters for long term success and produces the next generation of Champions. The entire team at Caribe Royale is looking forward to the kick- off as we start another venture ensuring Orlando remains the hub of Boxing in Florida and the entire Southeast.”

The King Returns: Kevin Walsh Continues his World Title March at Mohegan Sun Arena on July 24

BROCKTON, MA – Fresh off the biggest victory of his career, undefeated WBC International Featherweight Champion “King” Kevin Walsh (20-0, 10 KOs) returns to New England on Friday, July 24, to take on dangerous Dominican puncher Dannis Aguero Arias (20-5, 17 KOs) at Mohegan Sun Arena.  The 8-round featherweight bout serves as the co-feature of CES Boxing’s Championship Jackpot 2026, a stacked 9-bout card that also features the return of former 3-time, 2-division world champion Demetrius ‘Boo Boo’ Andrade.

Tickets for Championship Jackpot 2026 are quickly selling out.  Purchase yours now at cesfights.com

Walsh enters the bout against Arias ranked #14 by the WBCfollowing a career-defining split decision victory over former world title challenger Michael Conlan on March 20 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Fighting in front of Conlan’s hometown crowd on St. Patrick’s Day weekend, Walsh captured the WBC International Featherweight Championship in one of the most impressive road victories by a New England fighter in recent memory.

“It was an unbelievable experience,” recalls the Brockton native. “Fighting in another country had always been a dream of mine, and the whole experience was amazing. As soon as I landed in Ireland, everyone treated me great and made me feel welcome.  Honestly, I felt like I was home.”

The fight itself was a tactical, closely contested affair where Colan would find success as a southpaw but would consistently run into Walsh’s right hands and left hooks whenever he switched to orthodox.

“It was a close fight, but I knew when that final bell rang that I had won,” agreed Walsh. “I hurt him in the first and second rounds, and I honestly thought I was going to get the knockout, but Mick Conlan is a great fighter.  He’s an Olympian who’s fought world champions and some of the best fighters in the world. It wasn’t an easy task, but I was in the best shape of my life, and I think that showed.”

Walsh’s win abroad was a graduation to the world level after the 33-year-old first established himself as New England’s premier featherweight by vanquishing regional rivals Tremaine Williams (W 10)Ricky De Los Santos (TKO 8) and Irvin Gonzalez (TKO 4)before conquering Belfast.

Throughout his five-year professional career, Walsh gained a reputation as an active fighter willing to take on all comers. That mindset hasn’t changed with the win over Conlan.

“I truly feel like I’m meant for this,” explained Walsh. “Whenever I’m the underdog, I rise to the occasion. It makes me train and work even harder. I love when the odds are against me.”

Kevin’s next challenge comes in the form of Dannis Arias, a hard-hitting Dominican who has shared the ring with the likes of former three-time, two-division world champion Guillermo Rigondeaux and has foes in common with Walsh as he dropped a close decision to Williams in June and stopped Gonzalez in four rounds three years ago.

“At this stage of my career, I expect everybody to be a good fighter,” admits Walsh. “I know Arias is durable.  He comes forward, keeps a high guard and throws a lot of punches.  He fought Tremaine Williams in June, and me and Tremaine had a close fight, so I’m looking forward to a competitive fight.”

While Walsh’s victory over Conlan vaulted him into the WBC’s top 15 and sparked conversations about a future world title opportunity against the likes of Bruce ‘Shu Shu’ Carrington, Kevin believes that remaining active is critical as he continues his march.

“If it were completely up to me, I’d be fighting for a world title next,” confesses Walsh, “but boxing doesn’t always work that way. I have to be patient, stay humble, keep working, keep making a name for myself and my opportunity will come.”

This mindset is what CES Boxing Founder Jimmy Burchfield Sr. believes will take Walsh all the way to a world championship.

“Kevin has earned everything he’s achieved,” said Burchfield. “He never shied away from a tough fight. He beat every top featherweight in New England, then traveled halfway around the world and defeated Michael Conlan in front of his own fans. That’s the kind of mentality world champions have. We believe Kevin belongs on the world stage, and July 24 is another opportunity to prove it.”

Returning to Mohegan Sun also allows Walsh to perform in front of the fans who have supported him from the very beginning before he moves on to world title opportunities.

“The support means everything,” Walsh said. “When I came home from Ireland, the reception in Brockton was unbelievable. It honestly felt like I had won a world title. My hometown has always had my back, and I never take that for granted.  This is why we train so hard and put our heart and soul into this—not just for our families, but for our fans too. We do it for you guys, and we’re going to keep fighting for you.”

TWO WORLD TITLE FIGHTS ADDED TO ‘THE COMEBACK’WITH HAMZAH SHEERAZ VS SIMON ZACHENHUBER AND JOSH KELLY VS CAOIMHIN AGYARKO

LONDON, JULY 2026: His Excellency Turki Alalshikh today announced the full undercard for
“The Comeback”, featuring two world title fights as Hamzah Sheeraz makes the first defence
of his WBO World Super Middleweight Championship against Simon Zachenhuber, while Josh
Kelly defends his IBF World Super Welterweight Championship against unbeaten Irish
challenger Caoimhin Agyarko, on Saturday, July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, exclusive
worldwide on DAZN.

The event, headlined by Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight clash with Kristian Prenga, forms part
of Jeddah Season in association with Riyadh Season, Matchroom Boxing, SELA and Goldstar,
and will be broadcast exclusively worldwide on DAZN.

Kelly makes the first defence of the IBF World Super Welterweight Championship he won with
a majority decision victory over Bakhram Murtazaliev in January. The Sunderland star now
faces unbeaten Agyarko, who gets his first opportunity to challenge for a world title after his
IBF title eliminator earlier this year was cancelled at late notice.

Joining Kelly on the undercard is fellow Brit Hamzah Sheeraz, fresh from his crowning glory in
Egypt back in May, as he sets out to defend his WBO World Super Middleweight
Championship for the first time, taking on Simon Zachenhuber.

Exciting Japanese featherweight prospect Reito Tsutsumi returns to Saudi Arabia following an
impressive stoppage victory on the ‘Night of the Samurai’ card in Riyadh last December. The
unbeaten featherweight meets Mexico’s Alvino Herrera, who also brings an undefeated record
into the fight.

Olympic gold medallist Oleksandr Khyzhniak makes just the second appearance of his
professional career as the Ukrainian continues his transition from the amateur ranks. Standing
opposite him is unbeaten Frenchman Lenny Patrach, presenting another valuable test for the
light heavyweight prospect.

British flyweight Mikie Tallon makes his Saudi Arabian debut after extending his unbeaten
record earlier this year. The 23-year-old from Liverpool has quickly established himself as one
of the division’s most promising young talents and now looks to continue that momentum
against Venezuela’s Orlando Pino.

India’s undefeated Olympian Nishant Dev continues his impressive start in the professional
ranks against Peru’s Cesar Diaz. The 2024 bronze medallist has made a strong impression
since turning over and will be aiming to continue his rise in the super welterweight division.
Pawel August caused a major upset on the Fury–Makhmudov card by defeating the previously
unbeaten Zachenhuber, despite stepping in as a late replacement with only a few weeks to

prepare. He now faces unbeaten Dane Jacob Bank, who boasts an impressive 19-0 record and
claimed the biggest win of his career in January by defeating former world champion William
Scull.

Three of Saudi Arabia’s leading professional boxers return to the ring on home soil, with
Mohammed Alakel, Ziyad Almaayouf and Sultan Almohammed all returning to action as they
continue their development on one of the biggest stages in world boxing. Alakel will face Lydon
Chircop, Almaayouf takes on Frank Mango and Almohammed is up against Efren Besalduch.
The card will also showcase two of Egypt’s rising prospects. Omar Hikal returns following
victory in his last outing to take on Spaniard Brian Castellano, while Mohamed Mabrouk faces
Bryan Zapata as both men look to continue their progress on the international stage.
Fight Week begins on Wednesday, July 22 with the Grand Arrivals at Jeddah Yacht Club,
followed by the official press conference on Thursday and the weigh-in on Friday at Jeddah
Promenade. Both events will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN.
Tickets for “The Comeback” are on sale now via the WeBook app.

PRYCE TAYLOR WINS NEAR-SHUTOUT DECISION OVER ISSAC MUNOZ ON SATURDAY IN DEBUT WYNN RECORDS NETWORK EVENT FROM PUERTO RICO

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO (July 11, 2026) – American heavyweight Pryce Taylor kept his undefeated record intact with a near-shutout 10-round unanimous decision victory over Mexican challenger Issac Muñoz on Saturday in the debut Wynn Records Network event from Coliseíto Pedrín Zorrilla in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The five-fight broadcast was promoted by Universal Promotions and Salita Promotions in association with Wynn Records and was the first in a long-term partnership between Salita and Wynn that will develop and test some of boxing’s most promising prospects and contenders.

Taylor (13-0, 8 KOs) controlled the fight from the outset and landed the harder shots throughout the bout.  The 6-foot-4 fighter from Brooklyn, N.Y., leaned on his height and reach advantage to dictate the pace and frustrate the veteran Munoz (18-3-1, 15 KOs), whose only previous losses came against top American heavyweights Jermain Franklin Jr. and Richard Torrez Jr.

Taylor, who showboated throughout the bout, seemingly scored a knockdown in the closing seconds of the sixth with a sweeping overhand left, however referee Roberto Ramirez did not recognize the knockdown.

The bout was scored 98-92, 98-92, 97-93.

“The fight would have went differently if they called the knockdown,” Taylor said.  “If you’re being supported by the ropes that’s a knockdown. If it was called, it would have made him want to fight harder so he could win. It changed the momentum of the fight..

“I want all the fighters.  Efe (Ajagba) , I see you on the bench.  Come off the bench and fight me.  Kingsley (Ibeh), I’m going to take you out.  All the fighters, Daniel DuBois, Anthony Joshua, I want the smoke.”

In a special featured attraction, undefeated Puerto Rican women’s boxing sensation Kiria Tapia (10-0, 1 KOs) put on a show for her hometown fans, winning a thrilling unanimous decision over Alba Sanchez, scored 80-72 by all three judges.

The fight was a slugfest at times, with both fighters landing massive shots.  Sanchez (9-5) displayed a tremendous chin and the fight looked like it could have been stopped at multiple times over the eight rounds.

“I’m very happy for the support from Puerto Rico,” Tapia said.  “I was looking to see if I could get the right punch for a knockout.  It didn’t happen but I was looking for the knockout. I’m very supportive of Amanda Serrano and everything she’s done for women’s boxing. Maybe we’ll fight in the future.”

The events on the recently launched Wynn Records Network are designed to develop and test some of boxing’s most promising prospects and contenders, giving fans a first look at the future generation of stars as they take on meaningful step-up fights.

“It was an incredible night of boxing in San Juan, Puerto Rico,” said Dmitriy Salita, President of Salita Promotions.  “From the opening bell of the first fight to the final round of the main event, the fans were treated to competitive, action-packed matchups. Johanna Wonyou earned a hard-fought victory, while Litzy Vázquez captured the world title with a thrilling majority-decision win. Heavyweight prospect Pryce Taylor showed another side of his game by going the full 10 rounds for the first time in his career in a competitive battle, and hometown favorite Kiria Tapia electrified both the crowd in San Juan and fans watching around the world on Wynn Records Network. This event reflected exactly what Salita Promotions is committed to delivering—meaningful fights, rising stars, and unforgettable nights of boxing.  We can’t wait to come back to work with Universal Promotions and Wynn Records and continue to grow boxing in Puerto Rico.”

Ruben Branson, CEO of Wynn Records, agreed: “I want to give it up to the fans here in Puerto Rico – the energy was high all night. I’m excited for this partnership with Salita Promotions and Universal Promotions as we expand Wynn Records with the roll out of Wynn Network, bringing entertainment to the next level with cultural influence. This is just the first fight. We will be back.”

In Saturday’s co-featured bout, undefeated challenger Litzy Vazquez dethroned defending champion Edith Soledad Matthysse to capture the Women’s WBA Interim Super Lightweight Title via majority decision (95-95, 98-92 twice) in a competitive and back-and-forth fight.

Matthysse (21-17-1, 4 KOs) came forward in her typical aggressive fashion, but Vazquez fought well off her back foot and pocketed the first three rounds on all three judges’ scorecards.  The 24-year-old Mexican Vazquez (9-0, 6 KOs) displayed superior movement and utilized her reach advantage over the 45-year-old Matthysse.

The championship rounds in the ninth and 10th had the best action, with Vazquez struggling to contain the hard-charging Matthysse.  Both fighters traded shots until the closing bell, fighting at close range in back-and-forth action that brought the crowd to its feet.  Vazquez won both the ninth and 10th rounds on two of the three judges’ scorecards.

“I’m extremely happy with this victory,” Vazquez said after the fight.  “I have nothing but respect for Matthysse – she’s a true champion.  It was a tough fight, but we executed our game plan and did what we had to do in the ring.  This was my promise to my promoter, Universal Promotions.

“Today I fulfilled a lifelong dream.  We’re just getting started.  Mexico and Puerto Rico have a new world champion.”

In the second bout of the broadcast, 22-year-old undefeated super featherweight prospect and Puerto Rican favorite William Colon knocked out veteran Jeremy Triana in the round seventh round (1:38 TKO) in an impressive and dominating performance.

Colon (10-0, 6 KOs) teed off on Triana from the opening bell, using his significant reach advantage to control the pace and fight from a distance.  Colon won every round of the fight and landed punishing shots at will with an impressive mix of punches.  He landed more than a dozen unanswered shots midway through the seventh, forcing referee Moises Rivera to step in and stop the contest.

In the opening bout on Wynn Records Network, Johanna Wonyou kept her undefeated record intact with a hard-fought unanimous decision over Tania Walters to win the WBA International Women’s Bantamweight title.  The 10-round bout was scored 99-91, 97-93, 96-94.

Wonyou (13-0, 6 KOs) was in control through the first four rounds, dictating the pace and largely keeping Walters at bay.  Walters (7-6, 2 KOs) appeared to find another gear starting in the fifth and began charging forward, landing the hardest shot of the fight in the sixth round.  The eighth was the best round of the fight, with Walters fighting to close the gap, but Wonyou had pocketed enough rounds and won comfortably on all three judges scorecards.

Here is what the press conference participants had to say Thursday from Avalon Hollywood:

ROLLY ROMERO

“It’s been a hard time trying to make a fight, but we know that Teofimo is gonna fight anyone. So I’m thankful that he stepped up to the plate.

“I needed the time off to focus on me. I’m just happy to be back with another big event and to be here at the announce of the PBC and DAZN deal. This is just one of so many great fights that are gonna come from it.

“I feel pretty good right now. We’re gonna have to see if I’m even better than I was against Ryan Garcia. I’ve missed boxing. I really don’t do this for anything other than the love of the sport.

“A fight’s a fight, a sparring session is sparring. Everyone’s sparring each other. People get cracked. Now we’re doing it under the big lights for a belt. I feel like this fight gives me the opportunity to become a Hall of Famer.

“Me and Teo aren’t friends, he’s my little brother. I’d rather go in there against him than anyone else.”

TEOFIMO LOPEZ

“I feel great. It’s put up or shut up. We’re at a point in time in my career where everything is at stake. People want to know if this is the start of something new for me. I look forward to it.

“I want to thank the champ for stepping up to the plate. I’m looking forward to becoming a three-division world champion at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 22.

“We know each other enough to know what triggers us. We know secrets possibly that people don’t know. This is gonna be a big fight for the next era of boxing.

“I believe that I haven’t even touched the surface of what I’ve got to give to this sport. When I face the champion I’ll be 29. I’ve got a lot of good prominent years left. I’m gonna answer all the questions on August 22.”

ISMAEL SALAS, Romero’s Trainer

“Everything we do comes from the work in the gym. Every fight has a different approach. Styles make fights. With all respect to Teofimo, this is a perfect fight for Rolly. This is a guy who comes forward. I don’t want to say too much, but everyone will see on August 22.”

TEOFIMO LOPEZ SR., Lopez’s Father & Trainer

“After our last fight one of the first people who came up to me was Rolly, and he was telling me that my son had to move up to 147. Now it’s crazy that we’re up here getting ready for this fight. I can’t wait. August 22 is gonna be a great night. These guys are gonna come to fight and give a show.”

PBC-DAZN DEAL PRESS CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS:

SEBASTIAN FUNDORA, WBC Super Welterweight World Champion

“PBC was the last missing piece on DAZN. Now that all the 154-pound champions are on DAZN, let’s get an undisputed champion.

“Now all of these big fights are the most realistic. We’re all on the same platform, so now’s the time. Jaron Ennis is the one calling me out, so he’d be the guy I want to face soon.”

BRANDON FIGUEROA, WBA Featherweight World Champion

“With this partnership, anything is possible. I’m very confident in my team and I’m ready to set up the big fights. I went to the U.K. and won the belt and now I’m ready to unify.

“I showed my grit to win this title. I’m a different caliber of fighter. I come to fight. I leave no stone unturned. I go out there to do my best and give exciting fights to the fans. I just love fighting.

“I know the Bruce Carrington unification fight will eventually come, but I’m focused on what’s in front of me. When the time comes, I’ll be ready for it.”

JESUS RAMOS JR. Interim WBC Middleweight Champion

“This partnership is gonna open a lot more doors in the middleweight division. Even the guys at 154-pounds, they have to move up to middleweight eventually and I’ll be here waiting.

“I’m excited to get back in the ring as a champion. It brings a new wave of confidence. We’ve been working on a lot of new things that I can’t wait to show everyone.”

JOSE SALAS REYES, IBF Bantamweight World Champion

“I’m very excited to be in this position, especially with Bam Rodriguez moving up to this division. We have the mandatory fight first, but eventually the Bam Rodriguez fight will be coming and I will be ready.”

TOM BROWN, President of TGB Promotions

“I want to thank everyone who was involved in making this deal happen. DAZN demand the absolute best product on their platform, and that’s what we’re here for. It’s an exciting day for boxing.

“DAZN have a great schedule for the rest of the year already, and we’ll be adding these four great champions to the schedule shortly. With this deal, DAZN is really kicking it up a notch. This relationship with PBC will be something special.

“We have the deepest roster of champions and we’ll have a pathway to making the biggest and best fights. I can’t wait to get to work with everyone.

BRITTON HARDIN, Head of Boxing, North America, DAZN

“We want to serve outsized value to the boxing audience. We’ve been working very diligently to do that at DAZN. I’m personally very excited about today. PBC is one of the stellar companies in modern day boxing.

“This really shows what we’re trying to do at DAZN and that’s bringing the best fighters and biggest fights under one platform. This outstanding talent up here is just a small glimpse of the roster that’s over at PBC.”

PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES FOR THIS SATURDAY’S WYNN RECORDS NETWORK DEBUT EVENT FROM PUERTO RICO

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO (July 9, 2026) – Undefeated American heavyweight Pryce Taylor faced off with Mexican challenger Issac Muñoz at the final press conference on Thursday in advance of Saturday’s debut Wynn Records Network event from Puerto Rico.

The five-fight card will stream live at 8 p.m. ET on https://watch.wynnrecordsnetwork.com/ and will also feature the return of undefeated Puerto Rican women’s boxing sensation Kiria Tapia.

Puerto Rican boxing greats Ivan Calderon and Juan Manuel Lopez were in attendance at Colegio Universitario de San Juan on Thursday, along with Hall of Famer Shane Mosley, who was there to support local undercard fighter Yaziel Ortiz.

The Universal Promotions and Salita Promotions event from Coliseíto Pedrín Zorrilla in San Juan is promoted in association with Wynn Records.  The debut event on the new streaming service will feature three women’s boxing bouts as the entities continue their commitment to leadership in women’s boxing.

In Saturday’s co-featured bout, Edith Soledad Matthysse will defend her Women’s WBA Interim Super Lightweight Title against undefeated challenger Litzy Vazquez.

Also featured on the card is a WBA International Women’s Bantamweight bout between undefeated contender Johanna Wonyou and Tania Walters.  In the opening bout, 22-year-old undefeated super featherweight prospect and Puerto Rican favorite William Colon will take on veteran Jeremy Triana.

Fans can register at https://watch.wynnrecordsnetwork.com/ and watch across connected TV and mobile devices, including Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, iOS, and Android.  The events on the direct-to-consumer streaming service are designed to develop and test some of boxing’s most promising prospects and contenders, giving fans a first look at the future generation of stars as they take on meaningful step-up fights.

Here’s what the participants had to say on Thursday:

PRYCE TAYLOR (12-0, 8 KOs), of Brooklyn, New York:

“This fight isn’t going 10 rounds.  I promise it’s going to be quick work on Saturday night. I plan on being as entertaining as always because I honestly don’t think he has the tools to hurt me, let alone force me out of first gear.  He won’t even be able to touch me.

“He’s coming in with a lot of power, but that Mexican pride isn’t going to be enough to get the job done with me.”

ISAAC MUNOZ (18-2-1, 15 KOs), of Mexico City:

“I’m going into this fight completely focused. I am not taking Pryce lightly at all—we’ve prepared for war, and I am ready to go the full 10 rounds if that’s what it takes to get the job done.

“Everyone knows I’m a big boy, but don’t let the size fool you; I’ve got the speed to match it.

“To all my fans, thank you, Mexico. I’m going in there to make you proud this Saturday.”

KIRIA TAPIA (9-0, 1 KO), of San Juan, Puerto Rico:

“Seeing the spotlight finally shine on women’s boxing and seeing it grow the way it has over the last few years and watching women finally make more money—fills my heart with so much pride.

“To all the young girls looking up to me, I want to tell you this: stay close to God, set your mind completely on your goals, and never lose your focus. It all starts in the mind. If your mind is locked in, everything else will follow.

“I am so excited to step into that ring in front of my beautiful home crowd here in Puerto Rico. I’ve put in the work, camp was intense, and I’m ready to show everyone exactly what I’ve been working on and get this win.”

DMITRIY SALITA, President, Salita Promotions:

“This event showcases Salita Promotions’ continued commitment to elevating women’s boxing by featuring three meaningful women’s bouts at pivotal stages of each fighter’s career.

“The card features a women’s world title fight between Argentina’s Edith Soledad Matthysse and undefeated Mexican contender Litzy Vázquez.  Also featured is France’s Johanna Wonyou, who is on the verge of a world title shot, and one of the island’s brightest rising stars Kiria Tapia fighting in front of her hometown fans.

“These standout women’s contests are seamlessly integrated throughout the evening alongside compelling men’s matchups, including highly regarded undefeated heavyweight Pryce Taylor taking on battle-tested veteran Issac Munoz.  Presenting the fights together reflects our belief that great boxing is defined by competitive matchup and compelling stories – not gender.

“By showcasing world-class female and male athletes on the same stage we are helping grow the sport, introduce new fans to its stars, and build a stronger future for boxing. We are excited to partner with Universal Promotions to deliver these compelling matchups streaming live exclusively on http://WynnRecordsNetwork.com.”

JAVIER BUSTILLO, President, Universal Promotions:

“We’re thrilled to join forces with Salita Promotions yet again to present a great international event with world championship boxing. We have excellent female representation with our local star Kiria Tapia facing off against the Spaniard Alba Sánchez.  Plus we have a world title fight with the defending champion, the Argentinian Soledad Matthyse against the talented prospect from Mexico, Litzy Vásquez. It will be an amazing night of boxing”

EDITH SOLEDAD MATTHYSSE (21-16-1, 4 KOs), of Santa Fe, Argentina:

“I’m thrilled to showcase my talent on the world stage, especially here in Puerto Rico, the birthplace of so many champions. My team has done an outstanding job studying my opponent. We’ve prepared for everything we expect to face this Saturday night, and we have several game plans in place. She’ll have to be at her very best, because I know I will.

“Ive had my ups and downs in women’s boxing, but it’s gotten so much better.  Everything has been great since I joined Salita Promotions.  My fight with Samantha Worthington, I was worried about my diet and I felt unprepared, but I was able to come out on top and get the belt and I’m happy she’s OK.  On Saturday I plan to leave everything in the ring and make Argentina proud.”

LITZY VAZQUEZ (8-0, 6 KOs), Veracruz, Mexico

“I’m excited to be in Puerto Rico because it reminds me so much of my hometown of Veracruz. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, which I’ve dreamed about my entire life. I’ve studied my opponent very carefully. She’s a tough, aggressive fighter who likes to come forward and apply constant pressure. My preparation has been excellent, and I’m ready for whatever she brings. It’s going to be a war in the ring, with each round becoming more intense than the last. One thing is certain: we’re going to put on a great show for the fans.”

SUGAR SHANE MOSLEY, Hall of Famer:

Through the Mosley Foundation of Love, our mission has always been about lifting up the youth, providing opportunities, and showing kids that they have a village standing behind them. Yaziel Ortiz is the very first kid we’ve been working with out of Loíza, Puerto Rico, and over the last eight months, he has shown me exactly what the spirit of this foundation is all about. Yaziel has a willingness to listen and true, unshakeable discipline which takes a fighter to the next level.”

YEZIEL “EL TONKA” ORTIZ, (2,1) of Loiza, Puerto Rico:

“The people of Loíza have such an incredible, beautiful spirit, and I can’t wait to represent them on Saturday night while making my mentor Shane Mosley proud for always believing in and guiding me.”

BiYu Promotions Launches “Fights Under the Lights” with Star-Studded Card Featuring the Return of the Grandy Twins

HOUSTON, TX (July 9, 2026) – A new chapter in Texas boxing begins on Friday, August 14, 2026, as BiYu Promotions debuts its premier boxing series, “Fights Under the Lights,” at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas.

Designed to showcase world-class talent alongside boxing’s brightest young stars, the inaugural event promises an unforgettable evening of championship-caliber action, highlighted by the highly anticipated return of social media sensations and undefeated professional prospects Steven and Daniel Grandy, known globally as the Grandy Twins.

The 10-round main event features a clash of undefeated light heavyweights as WBA/NABA Light Heavyweight Champion Chavon Davis Stillwell (10-0, 8 KOs) of Mansfield, Ohio, now fighting out of Houston, Texas, defends his title against the hard-hitting Izaiah Dent (10-0, 9 KOs) of Indianapolis, Indiana.

With both fighters entering the ring unbeaten and boasting a combined record of 20-0 with 17 knockouts, fans can expect an explosive championship showdown. Stillwell will look to make a successful defense of his WBA/NABA crown, while Dent aims to dethrone the champion and capture the first title of his professional career in what promises to be a high-stakes battle between two of boxing’s rising light heavyweight stars.

The 8-round co-main event features another championship showdown as undefeated knockout artist Jahyden Franklin Britton (9-0, 6 KOs) of Hempstead, Texas, takes on hard-hitting Bruno Pola Ruiz (11-4-2, 9 KOs) of San Antonio, Texas, for the vacant WBA/NABA Super Middleweight Championship.

Britton enters the bout with an unblemished record and an exciting, fan-friendly style that has established him as one of Texas’ rising super middleweight prospects. Ruiz, a seasoned and dangerous opponent with nine knockout victories, brings the experience and power to test the undefeated contender in what promises to be an action-packed championship clash.

While championship boxing headlines the evening, much of the spotlight will shine on two of boxing’s most recognizable young personalities—the Grandy Twins.

Steven Grandy (4-0, 4 KOs) returns in a scheduled four-round super featherweight contest against Houston’s Gerardo Chavez Reyes (3-5, 2 KOs), while his identical twin brother, Daniel Grandy (4-0, 3 KOs), faces Eduardo Tarango (1-5) of El Paso in a four-round lightweight bout.

Long before they became undefeated professional fighters, Steven and Daniel Grandy captured the attention of millions as five-year-old boxing prodigies. Their incredible talent and infectious personalities earned national appearances on The Steve Harvey ShowGood Morning AmericaESPNFOX Sports, and numerous other media outlets.

Today, the twins have evolved from viral sensations into legitimate professional prospects. Their journey has included multiple national amateur championships, appearances alongside some of boxing’s biggest stars, and the development of one of the sport’s largest social media followings among young fighters. Collectively, the brothers have amassed hundreds of thousands of followers across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, where their training videos, family values, and inspirational story continue to reach millions around the world.

Raised in Philadelphia and now based in Houston, Steven and Daniel remain grounded despite their growing fame. Trained since the age of two by their father, Daniel Grandy Sr., the twins have built a reputation not only for explosive performances inside the ring but also for their discipline, humility, and commitment to inspiring the next generation.

Their appearance on “Fights Under the Lights” represents another milestone in careers that many believe are destined for championship success.

For BiYu Promotions founder and CEO Bobby Harrison, the inaugural event represents far more than a single fight card, it marks the beginning of a long-term vision.

“This event validates my vision because it’s the first major step toward building something special for the boxing community, not only here in Texas, but other regions in the United States and neighboring countries,” said Harrison. “We’ve worked tirelessly to create a promotion that gives deserving fighters a platform to showcase their talent while providing fans with exciting, competitive fights. ‘Fights Under the Lights’ is more than just a name, it’s a vision for the future of our company. Having championship fights, rising stars like Chavon Stillwell, Izaiah Dent, and Jahyden Britton, along with the incredible story of the Grandy Twins, makes this a card we’re extremely proud of. We want fans to leave knowing they’ve witnessed something special, and we hope this is just the beginning of many memorable nights under the BiYu Promotions banner.”

Harrison believes featuring the Grandy Twins is an important part of growing the sport’s audience.

“Steven and Daniel represent everything that’s exciting about the future of boxing,” Harrison continued. “People have watched these young men grow up in front of the cameras since they were little kids. Now they’re undefeated professionals with tremendous talent, tremendous character, and a connection with fans that very few fighters possess. They bring a new audience to boxing while earning the respect of longtime fans through their performances in the ring. We’re honored to have them as part of our first ‘Fights Under the Lights’ event.”

In addition to the night’s featured championship bouts, the August 14 card will showcase an outstanding lineup of rising prospects from Texas and across the country, further demonstrating BiYu Promotions’ commitment to developing the next generation of boxing stars while delivering competitive, action-packed matchups for fight fans.

?Undefeated super middleweight prospect John Torres (12-0-1, 11 KOs) returns in a scheduled six-round bout against Ryan Adams (12-12-1, 7 KOs).

Also featured in six-round action, unbeaten welterweight prospect Joshua Franco (4-0, 3 KOs) will take on Roberto Castro (3-4, 2 KOs).

In a six-round bantamweight matchup, undefeated Mauro Sierra (12-0, 6 KOs) looks to keep his perfect record intact against Gabriel Bernardi Cruz (7-5, 3 KOs).

Another undefeated prospect, Ty Cassell (4-0, 2 KOs), will put his unbeaten record on the line against Charles Scott Jr. (1-4) in a scheduled four-round lightweight bout.

Rounding out the card, super middleweight Roy Knight (3-1) returns to the ring in a four-round contest.

With championship bouts, undefeated contenders, hometown heroes, and two of boxing’s most recognizable young stars all sharing the same stage, BiYu Promotions’ “Fights Under the Lights” promises to deliver an unforgettable night that celebrates the sport’s present while introducing many of its future champions.

EXCITING STARS ROLLY ROMERO & TEOFIMO LOPEZ SET FOR WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP CLASH IN SUMMER SHOWDOWN FROM T-MOBILE ARENA IN  LAS VEGAS!

LAS VEGAS – July 9, 2026 – Two of this generation’s most compelling stars, WBA Welterweight World Champion Rolly Romero and two-division champion Teofimo Lopez, will go toe-to-toe in a high-octane summer showdown Saturday, August 22 in a PBC Pay-Per-View event available on DAZN and Prime Video from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Romero and Lopez, two world class fighters meeting in their prime, each enter with extensive experience at the sport’s highest level, along with a fondness for engaging pre-fight build-up that should make this one of summer’s most-discussed matchups.

The unorthodox power-puncher known as “Rolly” will make the first defense of his 147-pound world title after earning the belt by dropping current WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia on his way to a unanimous decision. He’ll be looking to add another elite fighter to his resume in the former unified 135-pound king and WBO 140-pound champion Lopez, who will debut at welterweight with a chance to become a three-division world champion and return to his perch on boxing’s pound-for-pound lists.

Pre-sale tickets for the live event are available now until 10 p.m. PT through AXS.com with code: PBC.

Public on-sale begins tomorrow, Friday, July 10 at 10 a.m. PT through AXS.com.

The event is promoted by TGB Promotions, in association with Takeover Promotions.

**ROLLY ROMERO VS. TEOFIMO LOPEZ**

WBA Welterweight World Champion Rolly Romero will welcome the hard-hitting two-division champion Teofimo Lopez to the 147-pound division in a high-stakes 12-round world championship attraction.

Romero (17-2, 13 KOs) is known as one of the sport’s most unique and enigmatic personalities, which he backs up with power in both hands as well as an exciting, unique style that makes him a must-see whenever he steps between the ropes. The 30-year-old most recently earned a career-best victory in May 2025, as he captured the Interim WBA Welterweight Title with a unanimous decision over now WBC Welterweight World Champion Ryan Garcia, before being recently elevated. Romero not only completely neutralized Garcia’s vaunted left hook, but was also able to put Garcia on the canvas with a pair of vicious left hooks of his own in round two.

The Las Vegas native first rose to the rank of world champion in May 2023 stopping Ismael Barroso in round nine to win the WBA Super Lightweight World Championship, before relinquishing it in March against Mexican superstar Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz. The Barroso fight was Romero’s first return to the ring since a May 2022 defeat against three-division champion Gervonta Davis. Prior to the Davis fight, the Las Vegas resident Romero won an interim lightweight title in August 2020 by earning a close but unanimous decision over then unbeaten Jackson Marinez.

“Four kings? I’m a black knight that delivers a smothered mate,” said Romero.

The 28-year-old Lopez (22-2, 13 KOs) has worked his way to the top spot at 135 and 140 pounds throughout an already storied career, and can begin to conquer another weight class on August 22. Representing Brooklyn, New York and now training in Las Vegas with his father, Teofimo Lopez Sr., the two-division champion reached elite status with a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Vasyl Lomachenko in 2020. The triumph saw Lopez unify 135-pound titles and establish himself as one of the next generation of boxing stars, fulfilling the promise he showed representing Honduras at the 2016 Olympics and throughout his undefeated run up the lightweight rankings.

Following a split-decision defeat to George Kambosos that saw both men hit the canvas, Lopez reinvented himself at 140 pounds, showing he was still amongst the sport’s best with an impressive run that saw him capture the WBO 140-pound crown over former undisputed champion Josh Taylor in 2023. At super lightweight, Lopez bested impressive names including Arnold Barboza Jr., Sandor Martin and Jamaine Ortiz, with his only blemish coming in his last outing in January, a decision loss to four-division champion Shakur Stevenson.

“We don’t follow the game, we take over!” said Lopez. “That what I intend to show against a person I’ve known since 2015. Rolando is aware of his choice of accepting this fight, so without a doubt, this is a fight you do not want to miss. What greater way to take over than to fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where legends are born and history is made!”

ANDY RUIZ JR. PENS PROMOTIONAL DEAL WITH MATCHROOM

Andy Ruiz Jr. has signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom – and his return to action live on DAZN will be announced this week.

Ruiz Jr. (35-2-1 22 KOs) stunned the sporting world when he stopped Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden in New York in June 2019 to rip the WBA, WBO and IBF World titles from the Briton and becoming Mexico’s first ever Heavyweight World champion.

‘The Destroyer’ will make a welcome return to the ring after a two-year absence following his majority draw with Jarrell Miller in Los Angeles in August 2024, the man he replaced to face Joshua in the Big Apple, having beaten Chris Arreola and Luis Ortiz on his LA home patch prior to his battle with ‘Big Baby’ after Joshua regained his titles in a rematch in Saudi Arabia.

The 36 year old is training once again with Manny Robles, the man in his corner on his historic night against AJ, and Ruiz Jr. is excited to be stepping back through the ropes once again, with that date to be announced shortly.

“I’m so happy and thankful for signing with Matchroom and taking other step forward to continue my mission and to become a two-time champion of the world for Mexico,” said Ruiz Jr. “I believe everything happens for a season and I’m so grateful God is giving me a second opportunity to do everything right. Sometime God breaks you to make you a better person and a better fighter.

“I made history with Matchroom and the DAZN and best believe we are going to do it again in God almighty’s name, amen baby, let’s go!

“Thank you to all my coaches for still believing in me, we are going to make a big statement in the Heavyweight division.”

“We are very happy to be signing with Matchroom and Eddie,” said Andy Ruiz Sr., Ruiz Jr’s manager and father. “I believe Matchroom is the best promoter to get Andy Jr. back to the top of the Heavyweight division. Eddie gave Andy Jr. his first opportunity to become Heavyweight Champion of the World, and with Matchroom and Eddie we will become two-time Heavyweight Champion of the World – viva Mexico!”

“I’m delighted to welcome Andy to the team,” said Hearn. “The Heavyweight landscape is always evolving, and a fully fit and firing Andy Ruiz Jr. is a nightmare for anyone in the division.

“Andy shocked the world in New York with his stunning victory over AJ, and if ‘The Destroyer’ from that night returns to the ring, there is no doubt he can become a two-time World champion.”
