MVP SIGNS CANADIAN IBO BANTAMWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION AT 118 LBS AMANDA GALLE

NEW YORK, NY – June 11, 2025 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced the signing of 118lb IBO bantamweight world champion, three-time Canadian national champion, and BoxRec’s #1 Canadian bantamweight Amanda Galle (11-0-1, 1 KO). Galle joins MVP’s elite roster of top Canadian talent, including top-ranked lightweight Lucas Bahdi and 2x Canadian Olympian Tamm Thibeault, strengthening MVP’s commitment to uplifting women’s boxing globally.

Amanda Galle was raised in a proud Italian family in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and began her combat sports journey at age six. Under guidance of her lifelong coach Vito Brancaccio, she excelled in karate and earned her black belt at just 11 years old, also learning boxing and kickboxing. At 16, Galle stepped into the boxing ring for the first time and delivered a 28-second knockout. She quickly rose through the ranks, capturing gold at her Canadian National Championship debut in 2009. Galle captured a second national title at the 2013 Canadian Championships, just weeks after her mother was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Following a three-year battle, her mother went into remission in 2016 and Amanda took time off to recover from depression before returning to the ring in 2017, even as her mother’s cancer returned. Galle proved her resilience yet again as she quickly re-established herself among the amateur elite to win her third national title in 2018.

She made her professional debut in 2019, recording six back-to-back unanimous decision victories to begin her pro career. As Galle continued to fight, both in the ring and for her mother’s spirit, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and she stepped back from boxing to spend additional time with her mother and baby nephew. She returned to the ring in November 2021 with a unanimous decision victory against Jaica Pavilus, shortly before learning her mother had exhausted all treatment options. Galle fought once more in March 2022 before her mother’s passing, winning the Canadian super bantamweight champion title over Tania Walters and delivering the belt to her mother’s hospital bed at home. Her mother passed later that month. In December 2022, Galle overcame a broken hand to finish the year with a TKO win over Luz Elena Gerardo Martinez, then opened 2023 with another dominant decision. In December 2023, Galle earned her first title shot, defeating Niorkis Carreno to earn the then-vacant IBO bantamweight world champion. She most recently defended the title in a rematch against Carreno in December 2024. Outside of training at All Canadian Martial Arts Academy, Galle is an ambassador for Fight To End Cancer, regularly hosting bootcamps to raise funds for cancer research. As a graduate of Ryerson University in early childhood education, Galle enjoys working with youth at her gym and passing on the strength, resilience, and legacy her mother helped shape. Now under the MVP banner, she will look to achieve her next goal of becoming an undisputed champion at 118lbs.

“I’m thrilled to be working with MVP, the most powerful promotional team in women’s boxing,” said Amanda Galle. “MVP is making the biggest moves in the sport right now and I can’t wait to see what they do for me in this next chapter of my career. I am coming for all the belts in the bantamweight division so stay tuned for what’s next for Amanda Galle with the MVP team by my side.”

“Amanda Galle’s accomplishments and resilience in and out of the ring speak for themselves,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. “We are proud to welcome her to MVP and continue to strengthen our investment in Canada’s elite boxing talents as Amanda joins Olympian Tamm Thibeault and standout lightweight Lucas Bahdi on our roster. We look forward to empowering Amanda on the next stage of her pro journey in the 118lb division as we continue to elevate women’s boxing globally.”

MIYO YOSHIDA AND AMANDA GALLE CAPTURE BANTAMWEIGHT WORLD TITLES OVER THE WEEKEND

NEW YORK, NY (December 12, 2023) DiBella Entertainment is thrilled to congratulate both Miyo Yoshida and Amanda Galle on becoming world champions over the weekend.

On Saturday, Miyo Yoshida seized the IBF Bantamweight World Title with a unanimous decision victory against Australian Ebanie Bridges at the Chase Center, in San Francisco, CA, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View, as part of the Haney-Prograis undercard. Taking the bout on short notice as a late replacement opponent, oddsmakers had Yoshida, of Kagoshima, Japan, as a 7-1 underdog. With her eight-year-old daughter watching from ringside, Yoshida outworked Bridges over 10 entertaining rounds, often finding a home for her overhand right. After a hard-fought battle by both fighters, the scorecards read 99-91 twice, and 97-93, all for Yoshida. With the win, Yoshida, 17-4, is now a three-time, two-division world champion. She previously held the WBO Super Flyweight World Title twice.

“Ebanie Bridges was a great champion and it was a very tough fight,” said Yoshida. “I really want to say it is thanks to Lou and DiBella Entertainment that I was able to become a world champion again after only one year in the United States. I am very grateful to all of them. Coming in as a late replacement, we only had about two weeks to train for this title match. However, I joined with Team Sosa and I believe that my victory was made possible thanks to the support of the entire team.”

“I am so proud of Miyo,” said Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment. “What an epic performance to win a third world title. A thrill for a hard-working, dedicated, single mom to realize this dream in front of her little girl! Miyo is a warrior and she beat a warrior. I am so happy for one of the nicest people in boxing.”

On Sunday, Amanda Galle, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, defeated Niorkis Carreno, of Trujillo, Venezuela, to capture the IBO Bantamweight World Title. The two fought at Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, with Galle winning by unanimous decision via tallies of 98-92, 97-93, and 96-94. The event was promoted by Lee Baxter Promotions, who co-promotes Galle with DiBella Entertainment. Galle, now 9-0-1 (1 KO), used her footwork, angles and speed to outbox the experienced Carreno, 24-4 (19 KOs), who was a three-time world title challenger entering the bout.

“I’m on a mission to be what I am destined to be. On Sunday, I became the new IBO World Bantamweight Champion,” said Galle. “The ultimate goal for me is being the undisputed bantamweight world champion. I am made for this. I am now reaping the rewards for all of my dedication and hard work in boxing for the past 16 years. Everything beforehand prepared me for this moment and whatever is to come ahead.”

“I knew when I signed Amanda to a co-promotional deal with Lee Baxter that she had the potential to become a world champion and I am thrilled to see her achieve her dream,” said DiBella. “She worked incredibly hard to reach this moment in her career and there are even bigger hurdles to overcome that I know she’ll be prepared for. Amanda Galle is one of the best fighters at bantamweight and she is ready to take on the division’s elite.”

On the undercard in Toronto, world ranked super lightweight contender Jessica Camara, of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, earned a dominant victory against Mexican Estafania Orozco Oliva. Stopping Oliva at the 1:18 mark of the fourth round, Camara improved to 12-4, with 3 KOs. Camara is rated #1 by the WBC and #7 by the WBO. In 2021, she challenged Kali Reis for the unified WBA/WBO/IBO Super Lightweight World Championship, losing a very close split decision.

BUSY WEEKEND FOR DIBELLA ENTERTAINMENT FIGHTERS

NEW YORK (December 8, 2023) This weekend, DiBella Entertainment fighters are staying busy with bouts in San Francisco, Toronto, and Dubai. Miyo Yoshida, Amanda Galle, Jessica Camara and Lucas Browne are all in action in separate bouts.

Two-time world champion Miyo Yoshida (16-4), of Kagoshima, Japan, will vie for her third world title in a second weight class when she faces Ebanie Bridges (9-1, 4 KOs), of New South Wales, Australia, for the IBF World Bantamweight Title on the undercard of the Devin Haney-Regis Prograis super lightweight championship at the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA. Their bout will open up the DAZN Pay-Per-View broadcast beginning at 8pm EST. Yoshida, who previously held the WBO Super Flyweight Title twice, was a late replacement for Bridges’ original opponent.

“A year ago, I moved to New York City with my daughter, and I am very honored to have been given the opportunity to compete for the world title in such a short period of time,” said Yoshida. “I left my stable life in Japan and came to the US with a strong determination to become a world boxing champion again in the United States. That dream is now becoming a reality. Ebanie Bridges is a great champion, but I want to prove by becoming a champion again that dreams always can come true if you don’t give up.”

Former WBA Heavyweight Champion Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne (31-4, 27 KOs), of Perth, Western Australia, will return to the ring on Saturday, following his war with Jarrell Miller earlier this year. He will face undefeated Russian southpaw Mark Petrovsky (6-0, 4 KOs) at the Agenda Arena in Dubai.

“I’m looking forward to getting in the ring and putting on a show,” said Browne. “This is an important fight for me, and a win will put me back on track. Of course, any time I can secure a victory with a highlight reel knockout is extra special to me. I know my opponent was a good amateur, but I’ve seen a few things that I can exploit. I’ve trained well for this bout, and now it’s about executing on the night.”

On Sunday, Amanda Galle (8-0-1, 1 KO), of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, competes for her first world title when she faces Niorkis Carreno (24-3, 19 KOs) for the vacant IBO World Bantamweight Championship at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto. A three-time Canadian National champion and four-time Ringside National champion as an amateur, Galle captured the Canadian women’s super bantamweight title earlier in her pro career. Her opponent, Carreno, of Trujillo, Venezuela, is an experienced contender and three-time world title challenger. Galle is co-promoted by Lee Baxter Promotions, who is promoting the Toronto event.

“I’m on a mission to be what I’m destined to be,” said Galle. “On Sunday, December 10, it’s time to be in the world rankings and finally get on with the ultimate goal; being THE undisputed world bantamweight champion! I am made for this!”

Former world title challenger Jessica Camara (11-4, 2 KOs), of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, also fights on the Toronto card against Farina Roemling (5-1, 1 KO), of Cologne, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, in a six-round super lightweight bout. In 2021, Camara challenged Kali Reis for the unified WBA/WBO/IBO Super Lightweight Championship, losing a very close split decision.

GALLE-CARRENO FIGHT WEEK

Fight Week has arrived here in Toronto, Canada for a night of World Championship Boxing presented to you by Lee Baxter Promotions. Canada’s Amanda Galle faces 3x World Title Challenger, Niorkis Carreno, for the vacant IBO World Bantamweight Title in a 10×2 minute round contest.

Amanda Galle (8-0-1 1KO), of Mississauga, Ontario, was three weeks out from her first shot at the world title when hearing of her opponent’s hand injury, that led to the fight being pushed back a month. With Galle’s experience in both the amateur and professional ranks, she won’t let this affect her preparation or performance on the night. Winning titles is nothing new to Galle, as an amateur she won numerous Canadian National titles, was 4-time Ringside World Amateur Boxing Champion and since turning over to the pro ranks she has won the Canadian Super Bantamweight Title against World Title challenger, Tania Walters. Galle’s previous matches have ultimately been preparing and leading her towards the heights of our sport, the World Championship. Different date, but same plan for Galle, to win the World Title in front of her hometown fans.

In the other corner stands, Niorkis Carreno (24-3 19KOs) of Venezuela. Carreno has previously challenged for the WBC Minimumweight, WBO Flyweight and most recently the WBO Bantamweight World Title against Danish star, Dina Thorslund. Falling just short in her three pervious World Title shots, Carreno is not willing to let a fourth chance at the title slip away from her. Carreno is a clinical finisher, stopping 19 of her 24 opponents within the distance. Both fighters are ready to do what it takes to be victorious on the night.

Two undefeated fighters are putting it all on the line for the Canadian Cruiserweight title. Toronto’s Peter Nowaczek (4-0 3KOs) takes on the champion, Salar Gholami (6-0 3KOs) for the Canadian strap in an 8-round contest. Nowaczek and Gholami have previously sparred together and have a good knowledge of each other’s styles, which adds an interesting factor to the match.

Josh Lupia (12-0 10KOs) continues to impress as the welterweight takes on Ismael Urieta (15-9-1 10KOs). Since his return to the ring in July 2022, Lupia has been making statement after statement. Last time at REBEL, Lupia beat Lanardo Tyner. Tyner has previously shared the ring with the likes of Lamont Peterson, Jessie Vargas and Saul Canelo Alvarez.

Top Canadian prospect, Moe Zawadi (6-1-0 5KOs) is back in action against Gregory Miller (2-7-0 2KOs). Hard-hitting Zawadi earned himself a highlight reel knockout over fellow Canadian, Marco Parente, last time at REBEL. The tough and more seasoned Miller will look to use his experience to upset the younger Zawadi.

A rematch is on the cards for Ross Mylet (9-1-1 2KOs) and Luis Vara Carrillo (6-9-5 2KOs), a draw last time out left fans looking forward to the rematch. Canadian Bantamweight Champ, Mylet looks to settle the score on December 10.

Cameroon native, Stephane Fondjo (11-1-0 9KOs) makes his Canadian debut. Fondjo is the WBC Middle Eastern and WBA Asian South Super Middleweight champion. He is taking on Isreal Nava Lopez (3-3-0 2KOs).

Undefeated Super Middleweight, Nawid Zaman (2-0 1KO) makes his first appearance on a Lee Baxter card. Zaman, who is proving to be a fan favourite, will face Eliseo Ramirez Perez (1-4-1 0KO).

Former World Title challenger, Jessica Camara (11-4-0 2KOs) is also on the card. Pushing towards another shot at the World Title, Camara is currently ranked No1 in the WBC Super Lightweight rankings.

Galle-Carreno Card Postponed till December 10 Due to Carreno’s Hand Injury

The Amanda Galle-Niorkis Carreno card in Toronto, Canada has been postponed due to Carreno sustaining a hand injury. The pair will now go head-to-head on December 10th for the vacant IBO World Bantamweight Title, the card was originally going to take place November 12th.

Hailing out of Trujillo, Venezuela, Niorkis Carreno is coming to Canada to upset the hometown favourite. The 3x World Title Challenger isn’t going to let the setback of her injury get in the way of her 4th shot at the title. Previously, Carreno has challenged for the WBC Minimum title, WBO Flyweight title and most recently the WBO Bantamweight title against Danish star, Dina Thorslund. Carreno is a proven clinical finisher, her 19 stoppages and 79% knockout ratio back this up.

Since the original announcement of the event, Lee Baxter Promotions has added two new exciting additions to the card. Baxter’s undefeated Super Lightweight prospect, Joshuah Lupia (12-0 10KOs) will look to end the year with a fourth consecutive stoppage win. Last time out in Montreal, Lupia stopped undefeated Victor de Lira Quezada in spectacular style.

Jessica Camara (11-4-0 2KOs) has also been added onto the December 10th card. Camara is currently ranked number 1 by the WBC in their Super Lightweight rankings. Camara’s standout win against Heather Hardy put her in place to challenge for titles against Kali Reis. The IBO, WBO, and WBA World Super Lightweight titles were on the line, but Camara just fell short on a split decision.

Also, to feature on the card, is one of Canada’s hottest prospects, Mohamed Zawadi (6-1 5KOs). Zawadi will be facing Gregory Miller (2-7 2KOs). With Zawadi’s ferocious punching power and Millers toughness, this match-up is expected to deliver fireworks. Hard-hitting Stephane Fondjo (11-1 9KOs) is preparing for his Canadian debut. Fondjo is the WBC Middle Easter and WBA Asia South Super Middleweight Champion. A rematch is on the card for Canadian Champ Ross Mylet (9-1-1 2KOs) and Luis Vara Carrillo (6-8-4 2KOs), a draw last timeout left fans and both fighters wanting the rematch. Mylet is coming off two great stoppage wins and is ready to settle the score with Carrillo. Undefeated Nawid Zaman (2-0 1KO) makes his first appearance on a Lee Baxter card. Making his professional debut in May of last year, Zaman is proving to be quite the fan favourite.

Another final fight is due to be added to the card, keep an eye out on Lee Baxter Promotions social media accounts for this being announced.

AMANDA GALLE SIGNS CO-PROMOTIONAL AGREEMENT WITH DIBELLA ENTERTAINMENT AND LEE BAXTER PROMOTIONS

NEW YORK, NY (March 18, 2021) – Toronto’s Amanda Galle has conquered the national stage in Canada. Now she’s ready to conquer the world. Galle, one of the top female super bantamweight prospects in boxing, has signed a co-promotional agreement with DiBella Entertainment and Lee Baxter Promotions.

The three-time Canadian National champion is now 4-0 as a professional and holds the Canadian women’s super bantamweight title, coming off of a dominant victory against Shelly Barnett in January of 2020. Like many fighters, her career has been slowed by the global pandemic, but an affiliation with DiBella Entertainment, perhaps the most committed promoter of women’s boxing in the United States, will correct that course. Galle’s amateur accomplishments also include four Ringside National titles. As a professional, she’s looking to meet up with some of her elite amateur contemporaries in pursuit of a world title down the road.

That road might not be particularly long for Galle, who showed in her shutout of Barnett that she is ready to be on the fast track. Barnett most recently went the distance with Olympic medalist Marlen Esparza.

“I am super excited to be working with the most renowned promoter of female boxing, Mr. Lou DiBella, with DiBella Entertainment out of New York, in a co-promotion with Lee Baxter from my backyard in Toronto,” said Galle. “The timing is in accordance with the huge leap forward that I’ve seen in women’s boxing, with the recent pay-per-view event featuring several prominent female fighters and all-women’s cards on the horizon. I have the best of both worlds, the ability to stay active locally with Baxter and DiBella matching me against international competition to move up the world rankings, as he has done with so many of his fighters.”

“Amanda is a very skilled fighter with the potential to become a world champion,” said Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment. “Under Lee Baxter’s guidance, she will be developed at home in Toronto and, with DiBella Entertainment, Amanda will expand her fan base and stature in the US and abroad, as she moves up the ladder facing top opposition.”

“We think that Amanda has all the tools to become the next breakout boxing star in Canada, regardless of gender,” said promoter Lee Baxter. “It’s obvious that she’s ready to be fast-tracked toward a world title, and she carries herself like a superstar. She’s a phenomenal fighter, but she’s also a big personality and an entertainer. She belongs on the big stage and, along with Lou DiBella, we’ll be able to give her the platform to truly shine.”
