PHILADELPHIA–Genc Pllana stopped hometown favorite Brandon Robinson in the eighth and final round of their super middleweight clash that headlined the evening session of a King’s Promotions day-night doubleheader at the 2300 Arena

It was a spirited bout throughout the contest that saw Pllana forge ahead on the strength of a jab that he followed up by flurries of scoring blows that weren’t impactful, but more of controlling shots. Robinson created some offense of his own against the awkward Pllana. In the later rounds, it seemed that Pllna was wearing Robinson, and in round eight he cracked Robinson with a hard right hand in the corner that put Robinson down, and the fight was stopped at 33 seconds.

Pllana of Hagerstown, MD is 9-3-1 with five knockouts. Robinson of Philadelphia is 15-3.

In a battle of undefeated lightweights,, James Bernadin took a six-round unanimous decision over Osvaldo Morales.

Bernadin of Lancaster, PA won by scores of 60-54, 59-55 and 58-56 and is now 4-0-1. Morales of Harrisburg is 4-1.

Fan-favorite Elijah Morales won a four-round unanimous decision over Andres Abarco in a welterweight fight.

Morales of Trenton, NJ won by scores of 40-36 on all cards and is now 8-0, Abarco of Normandy Park, WA is 2-5.

Jonathan Rodriguez won a four-round unanimous decision over Sebastian Baltazar in a bantamweight contest.

Rodriguez of Bethlehem, PA won by scores twice and 39-37 and is now 9-1. Baltazar if Tacoma, WA is 1-5.

Rafiq Muhammad remained undefeated by stopping Rasheed Johnson in round four of their scheduled six-round welterweight fight.

In round four, Muhammad dropped Johnson with a hard right hand in the corner. Johnson was hurt, yet tried to fight back, but caught again and was driven into the ropes where he ate several more flush shots and the fight was stopped at 2:40

Muhammad of Richmond, VA is 5-0 with three knockouts. Johnson of Philadelphia is 7-4.

Khainell Wheeler stopped Vincent Baccus in round one of their scheduled six-round super middleweight clash.

In round one. Wheeler dropped Baccus with an uppercut. Seconds later it was a counter right that hurt Baccus and backed him into the ropes that was followed up by a right that sent Baccus down and the fight was stopped at 2:46.

Wheeler of Bethlehem, PA is 5-1 with five knockouts. Baccus of Okmulgee, OK is 4-3-1.

Roudly Lolo stopped debuting Eric Monroe in the opening round of their scheduled four-round middleweight fight.

The came out and set a furious pace as they landed some hard shots until one blasted off of the head of Monroe that sent the first-time to the canvas. Lolo landed a flurry of punches that sent Monroe plummeting down, and the fight was stopped at 1:43.

Lolo of Harrisburg, PA is 1-0-1 with one knockout. Monroe of Philadelphia is 0-1.

Philadelphia, PA (March 9, 2020) -This past Saturday night, junior welterweight Samuel Teah won a six-round unanimous decision over Dieumerci Nzau in front of a sold-out crowd at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The successful show, which was attended by many members of the boxing community as well as well as WWE superstars, was the inaugural card staged by RDR Promotions.

Teah of Philadelphia dropped Nzau in the opening frame with a hard right hand to the head. Teah never was challenged in the bout that saw him win by scores of 60-53 twice and 59-54.

Teah now has a record of 17-3-1. Nzau of Silver Spring, Maryland is now 11-12.

Brandon Robinson got off the deck in round two to comeback and stop Josue Obando in the same round of their scheduled six-round super middleweight bout.

The time of the stoppage was 1:46 of the 2nd frame for the Upper Darby, PA native, who now has a record of 15-2 with 10 knockouts. Obando of Guadalajara, Mexico is 19-27-2.

Nahir Albright won a six-round majority decision over Andrew Rodgers in a junior welterweight bout.

Albright of Sicklerville, NJ won by scores of 60-54, 58-56 and 57-57 and is now 8-1. Rodgers of Elkhart, IN is 4-9-2.

Ryan Umberger kept his perfect knockout streak in-tact by stopping Estevan Payan in the opening frame of their four-round middleweight bout.

Teah has defeated world-ranked O’Shaquie Foster (8-0), David Gonzalez (8-0-2), Maynard Allison (9-2), Kenneth Sims Jr. (13-1-1) and in his last bout, Teah won the USBA Junior Welterweight title with a 10-round majority decision over Sonny Fredrickson (21-1) on November 14th in Washington, D.C.

Philadelphia, PA (October 28, 2019)– Super Middleweight Brandon Robinson boxed his way to an eight-round unanimous decision over Martez McGregor in the main event of an eight-bout card at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia,

The show was promoted by King’s Promotions.

Robinson moved side to side and used angles to land shots and rack up points on the inside on McGregor. McGregor was able to land some good punches from time-to-time, but Robinson was more active, and he showed some different skills from the mostly all-action style that he has shown in most of his previous outings.

Robinson of Philadelphia won by scores of 78-74 twice and 77-75 to improve his record to 14-2. McGregor of Chicago falls to 8-3.

Popular Avril Mathie made a successful Philadelphia debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Karen Dulin in a bantamweight contest.

Mathie, who is world-renowned Swimsuit Model and boasts nearly 1.5 social media followers, showed good skills and landed some good shots on the 25 fight-veteran Dulin.

Mathie of Miami via Sydney, Australia won by shutout tallies of 40-36 on all cards, and is now 4-0. Dulin of Providence, Rhode Island is 3-21-1.

Shinard Bunch and Vincent Floyd battled to a no-contest after three rounds of their scheduled six-round welterweight battle.

Bunch registered knockdowns in each of the 1st two rounds, and seemingly he was on his way to the victory, but unfortunately for him, he and Floyd clashed heads that caused a cut on the forehead of Floyd. The blood streamed into Floyd’s eye and the fight was halted.

Bunch of Trenton, NJ is 3-1. Floyd of Philadelphia is 4-8-1.

Ryan Umberger dropped Leon DeShields three times in the opening frame to score a 1st round stoppage in their four-round junior middleweight fight.

The time of the stoppage was 2:49 for Umberger of Philadelphia, who remains perfect at 3-0 with three knockouts. DeShields of Camden, NJ is 0-7.

Naim Nelson won a six-round unanimous decision over Roy McGill in a junior welterweight fight.

Nelson of Philadelphia won by scores of 60-54, 59-55 and 58-56 and is now 14-4. McGill of Harrisburg, PA is 6-4.

Damon Allen got back in the win column with a six-round unanimous decision over Dieumerci Nzau in a junior welterweight contest.

Allen of Philadelphia won by 60-54 scores on all cards, and is now 16-1-1. Nzau of Silver Sprong, MD is 11-10.

Angel Rivera stopped Nicoy Clarke in round two of a scheduled four-round cruiserweight fight.

Rivera dropped Clark twice and the bout was stopped at 1:41.

Rivera of Harrisburg, PA is 5-1 with four knockouts. Clarke of Jersey City, NJ is 2-5.

James Martin was knocked down in the 1st round, but came back to pound out a four-round unanimous decision over Juan Rodriguez in a welterweight bout.

Martin was able to stem the tide and win by scores of 39-37 and 38-37.

The main event will see super middleweight Brandon Robinson (13-2, 9 KOs) of Upper Darby, PA battling Martez McGregor (8-2, 6 KOs) of Maywood, Illinois.

Mathie of Gold Coast, Australia, and now living in Miami, has huge social media following which includes over 1.2 million Facebook fans as well as hundreds of thousands more on Twitter and Instagram.

Mathie who holds a record of 3-0 with two knockouts began boxing in 2012. She 1st started out in Muay-Thai for fitness and then broke her foot. During that rehab time, Mathie could not use her knees or kick, so to just stay fit she started boxing, and the rest is history.

“I was modeling and competing in pageants, and it was a thrilling to be on stage. It gave me adrenaline and now boxing fills that for me,” said Mathie

The 31 year-old Robinson is a three-year professional who has wins over Brandon Clark (2-0), Ernest Amuzu (25-3) and is coming off a win over Devaun Lee on May 10th at The 2300 Arena.

McGregor of Maywood, Illinois has a record of 8-2 with six knockouts.

Philadelphia, PA (May 11, 2019)–Rising super middleweight contender Kalvin Henderson dropped Antowyan Aikens five-times in less than three rounds, and stopped Aikens in the 3rd frame of their scheduled eight-round super middleweight bout that headlined an eight-bout card at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The card, which was the inaugural event that was streamed by Warfare Sports, was promoted by King’s Promotions and Titans Boxing Promotions.

Henderson dropped Aikens with a jab in round two. That opened up Aikens for an Henderson onsluaught, as the fighter nicknamed “Hot Sauce” put AIkens down two more times before the 2nd round could end. Already on shaky legs, it was another jab that sent The Atlantic City native down for a fourth time. Henderson wasted no time in disposing of Aikens, as he ended things with a hard right hand for the fifth and final knockdown at 2:14.

Henderson of Fayetville, Arkansas won his 2nd bout at The 2300 Arena, and is now 12-0 with eight knockouts. Aikens of Atlantic City is now 13-7-1.

In the co-feature, Brandon Robinson survived a 1st round knockdown to comeback and take an eight-round split decision over DeVaun Lee in a super middleweight contest.

Lee landed an overhand right in the opening frame that clipped the chin of Robinson, and Robinson’s knee grazed the canvas for a knockdown. He shook that off, and both fighters took turns in dictating the action. Both were able to land some good power shots, and the fight was tight they whole way while providing good action throughout.

When the scores were tallied, they read 77-74 and 77-75 for Robinson. Lee won on one card 76-75.

Robinson of Philadelphia is now 13-2. Lee of Jamaica Queens, New York is 10-6-1.

Good looking super bantamweight prospect Raeese Aleem stopped normally durable Ramiro Robles in the opening frame of their scheduled eight-round bout.

Aleem dropped Robles three times, with the punctuation shot being a left hook to the body that sent Robles down at 1:51.

Aleem of Las Vegas is 14-0 with eight knockouts.Robles of Queretaro, Mexico is 15-9-2.

Alycia Baumgardner made quick work of Gabriella Mezei, as she needed just 68 seconds of their scheduled six-round junior lightweight contest.

Baumgardner scored knockdowns on body shots on the overmatched Mezei.

Baumgardner of Fremont, Ohio is 7-1 with five knockouts. Mezei of Covasna, Romania is 9-18-5.

Former U.S. Olympian Paul Kroll scored his 3rd consecutive stoppage as he took out Vincent Floyd in the opening round of a scheduled six-round welterweight bout.

Kroll hurt Floyd with a right hand that backed up Floyd to the ropes. Kroll then landed a barrage of power punches, and the bout was stopped at 2:27.

Kroll is 3-0 with three knockouts. Floyd of Philadelphia is 4-7-1.

Ryan Umberger dropped Darryl Fenton twice in en-route to a 1st round stoppage of their scheduled four-round middleweight fight.

Antonio DuBose won a six-round majority decision over Weusi Johnson in a featherweight bout.

Hector Mercado won a four-round majority decision over LaQuan Evans in a junior middleweight fight.

Baumgardner (6-1, 4 KOs) of Fremont, Ohio is looked upon as a potential star in the super featherweight division, and she will look to look to improve her status in the noted fight town.

“I know that my opponent who is experienced fighter, and has been in there with some good fighters, and she is from Hungary,” said Baumgardner of Mezei.

Baumgardner was rolling along with with a perfect mark until her last bout when she dropped a disputed split decision to Christina Linardatou on March 24th.

“I have learned that a slight setback sets up a big comeback, and that is what I plan on doing starting on Friday night. I am very focused for this fight. That was a close fight that I thought I won, but I would rather have had that happen early in my career rather then later. Now I can show what I can do for women’s boxing in the 130-pound division. Women’s boxing is coming along and there are some great fights out there in the division against Mikaela Mayer and Tiara Brown. If something like a fight against Amanda Serrano or Katie Taylor comes at 135, I would take that. I am competitive athlete.”

This will be Baumgardner’s return to Philadelphia. On February 10, 2018, she won a eight-round unanimous decision over Nydia Feliciano at the same venue where she will be displaying her talents on Friday night.

“I am happy to be back in Philly. I won my (WBC International) title there, and the crowd was awesome. I just want to give a big shoutout to promoter Marshall Kauffman and my manager Nelson Lopez for this importunity.”

Philadelphia, PA (April 1, 2019)–Three-time Olympian Anvar Yunusov remained perfect by getting off the deck and fighting through a bad cut to win an eight-round unanimous decision over Carlos Colon in a junior lightweight bout that highlighted an action-packed ten bout card before a sold-out crowd on Friday night at SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.

Yunusov was dropped by a right hand in round three. He was cut badly in the same round over his right eye. Yunusov was able to shake off the rough 3rd frame to come back and put Colon down with body shot’s in rounds four and five. Yunusov was able to control the action down the stretch, and win by scores of 79-71 and 78-71 twice.

Yunusov of Philadelphia by way of Tajakistan is now 7-0. Colon of Lares, Puerto Rico is 5-2.

Erik Spring and Terrance Williams locked up in a very competitive eight-round super welterweight battle that saw Spring come through with a majority decision.

Spring of Reading, PA won by scores of 77-75 and 76-75, while one card read even at 76-76.

Spring is now 12-2-2. Williams of York, PA is 5-3-1.

Popular super middleweight Brandon Robinson needed one left hand to the body to take out Lawrence Blakey at 2:49 of the 1st round of their scheduled six-round bout.

The fighters mixed it up in an entertaining four-round scrap that saw the fight go back and forth. Evans was able to overcome being dropped in the 1st round.

Evans was able to fight back, and win by scores of 39-37 and 38-37 with Demko winning a card 39-37.

Anthony Mercado proved to be too much for Andres Navarro by scoring a stoppage at the end of round five of a scheduled eight-round bout featuring junior welterweights based in Puerto Rico.

Mercardo is 13-4 with 11 knockouts. Navarro is 11-8-1.

Ryan Humburger and Brent Oren put on a display that not only thrilled the capacity crowd in attendance, but kept everyone on their feet for the duration of their middleweight bout.

Both guys took turns pounding away on each other, with each debuter being several times before Oren was worn down and not able to come out for round four.

Michael Coffie scored a vicious 2nd round stoppage over Eduardo Vitela in a scheduled six-round heavyweight bout.

Cofffie landed a thudding left hook that immediately knocked Vitela out, and the fight was stopped at 1:10 of the 2nd frame.

Dawson dropped Morales in the 2nd round and cruised to the victory by scores of 60-53 twice and 59-54.

PHILADELPHIA – Of the 114 total bouts that took place in the City of Philadelphia in 2018, the final main event of the year proved to be the best. The dramatic and grueling battle between Upper Darby super middleweight Brandon Robinson and out-of-towner Kalvin Henderson of Arkansas, was voted by fans as the “2018 Philly Fight of the Year”. Both Henderson and Robinson will be in attendance at the Briscoe Awards on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Xfinity Live! in South Philly, to receive their awards.

“I am honored to be selected for an accomplishment like the Bennie Briscoe award,” Henderson said. “I go out in every fight and give my all, not only win, but do it in an entertaining fashion.”

The Fight of the Year occurred on December 7th after a contentious build up, and the fighters entered the ring with much to prove. Robinson started fast, but before he knew it, his left eye was marked and beginning to swell. Eventually, Henderson closed Robinson’s eyes and ultimately scored a TKO in round seven. However, Robinson fought hard to turn the tables, and in doing so, the pair created the best fight of the year.

“I had not heard of the Briscoe Awards before my nomination,” Henderson said. “But after I researched, I found it is a very prestigious award. This marks a milestone in my career! ”

Philadelphia, PA (March 22, 2019) -Three-Time Olympian, Anvar Yunusov (6-0, 3 KOs) is is looking to go big game hunting as he prepares for his main event battle with Puerto Rico’s Carlos Colon (5-1, 3 KOs) in an eight-round bout that will take place next Friday night at SugarHouse Casino.

“My training has been good. I have been sparring with (IBF Super Featherweight World Champion) Tevin Farmer. It was good and tough sparring. I feel that has been getting me stronger and stronger,” said Yunusov.

When it comes to Colon, Yunusov does not know much, but that doesn’t seem to faze the 32 year-old, who represented Tajikistan in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.

“I just know he is from Puerto Rico. It has been tough to find information on him, but I know he has not fought in America.”

After fighting four times in 2018, Yunusov will be making his 2019 debut, and he feels that despite just having six fights, he is close to major fights due to his extensive amateur career.

“I feel everything has gone well. I have a great promoter in Marshall Kauffman and King’s Promotions. He is the best promoter around, and he has kept me busy.”

“This will be a great fight, and I will excite the fans. I love to fight, and am always in good shape. My goal is to fight Leo Santa Cruz for the world title.”

Philadelphia, PA (March 12, 2019) -Three-Time Olympian, Anvar Yunusov headlines an 11-bout card when he takes on Carlos Colon in an eight-round junior lightweight bout on Friday, March 29th at SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.

The big night of action is promoted by King’s Promotions in association Titans Boxing Promotions.

Yunosuv, who represented Tajikistan in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics, now resides in Philadelphia, and has record of 6-0 with three knockouts.

The 32 year-old Yunusov will be making his 2019 debut. He is coming off a 7th round stoppage over Jose Salinas on November 16th in Bethlehem, Pa.

Colon of Lares, Puerto Rico has a record of 5-1 with three knockouts.

The four-year professional has a win over Abiel Alamo (4-0). Colon is coming off his 1st professional blemish, when he lost a decision Luis Saul Rosario on January 19th.

On the stacked undercard, Erik Spring (11-2-2, 1 KO) of Reading, PA will fight Terrance Williams (5-2-1, 1 KO) of York, PA in a eight-round super welterweight bout.

Beverly Hills, Calif. (December 11, 2018) – This past Friday night at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, undefeated super middleweight Kalvin “Hot Sauce” Henderson announced himself to the super middleweight elite by stopping hometown favorite Brandon Robinson in round seven of a scheduled 10-round bout that headlined a King’s Promotions card.

Henderson diversified up his attack between boxing and mixing it up on the inside that not only opened cuts over both eyes, but closed the left eye of Robinson to completely shut.

Henderson registered a knockdown in round round five, and then knocked Robinson to the canvas twice in round seven, before the fight was halted at 2:08.

“We came in with a gameplan. We knew the guy would be strong and he is the hometown favorite. We stuck to the gameplan. It didn’t go exactly how we wanted to, but we got the win,” said Henderson. “I knew it was close, but when I dropped him, I could see his face change, his emotions, and I saw his aggression change. In round seven we caught him and hurt him, I knew that I had to get right on him. I knew if I took my time, and picked my shots, it was over with. We are ready. We showed everybody what we already knew.”

“Kalvin showed the the world what I already knew about him when I signed him out of the amateurs, he has the heart, desire and will of a champion,” said Henderson’s manger, Shane Shapiro of No Limit Mindset LLC. Philadelphia, PA (December 10, 2018) — This past Friday night, Kalvin Henderson remained undefeated and he established himself as a top super middleweight prospect by scoring a 7th round stoppage over Brandon Robinson in a thrilling battle at the 2300
Arena.

The fight headlined a six-bout card promoted by King’s Promotions.

The entire card was streamed live and can be viewed on-demand on the King’s Boxing Facebook page.

The fight was a grueling battle that had many ebbs and flows. The contest at times was a boxing match, with both fighters trying to establish their jabs, but much of it was fought on the inside with each guy having success in the close fight.

In round two, Robinson began to swell under his left eye that was the result of a punch by Henderson.

In round three, but men were cut from punches as Robinson was cut over his right eye, while Henderson was cut over the left optic.

In round five, the fight changed as Henderson dropped Robinson with a hard uppercut. When Robinson got to his feet, his left eye was virtually shut. Robinson showed tremendous courage as he came forward and even, with just one eye, landed some good shots on Henderson.

In round seven, Henderson came out with a renewed vigor, and turned up his work-rate and he dropped Robinson twice and ended the fight at 2:08 of the round.

Henderson, 166.4 lbs of Fort Worth, Texas is now 11-0 with seven knockouts. Robinson, 168.1 lbs of Philadelphia is 11-2,

In the co-feature, Paul Koon shook off four-years of ring rust to win a four-round unanimous decision over Cade Rodriguez in a heavyweight bout.

Koon dropped Rodriguez in round one with a left hook on the inside. Koon was not able to finish off his large opponent, but came home with to win by scores of 40-35 twice and 39-36.

Koon, 237.4 lbs of Philadelphia is 4-0. Rodriguez, 293.9 lbs of Monroe, GA is 293.9 lbs of Monroe, GA is 2-3.

Romuel Cruz pitched a shutout, and won a four-round unanimous decision over Hugo Rodriguez in a super bantamweight bout.

Cruz, 122 lbs of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 on all cards, and is now 3-0-1. Rodriguez, 120.9 lbs of Nuevo Leon, Mexico is 0-2.

Isaiah Wise scored a sensational 2nd round stoppage over over Andy Gonzales in a scheduled six-round super welterweight fight.

In the opening seconds of the bout, both guys stood toe-to-toe and landed good shots on each other. At the end of the frame, Wise landed a huge right hand that froze Gonzales. Gonzales was looking around the ring, only to eat a monster right that sent him to the canvas. Clearly, the one-minute respite was not enough for Gonzalez, as Wise landed a hard flurry on the ropes, and the fight was stopped at 40 seconds.

Wise, 155.9 lbs of Philadelphia is now 7-2-1 with four knockouts. Gonzales, 151.6 lbs of Worcester, MA is 6-4.

James Brenadin and Sheldon Deverteuil battled to a four-round split draw in a fight featuring undefeated lightweights.

Each fighter took a card 39-37, and a 3rd card read even at 38-38.

Brenadin, 139.5 lbs of Lancaster, PA is 1-0-1. Deverteuil, 137.1 lbs of Philadelphia is 1-0-2.

Travis Toledo dropped Ronnie Lawrence twice in en-rout to a first round stoppage in a scheduled four-round light heavyweight bout.

The time of the finish was 2:30 for Toledo, 173.3 lbs of Baltimore, who is now 4-0 with three knockouts. Lawrence, 174.4 lbs of Philadelphia is 0-3.

Friday night at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, undefeated super middleweight, Kalvin “Hot Sauce” Henderson takes on Brandon Robinson in a ten-round main event.

Saturday night at The Hulu Theater, lightweight Mason Menard takes on undefeated prospect Teofimo Lopez in a bout that that will be seen live on ESPN.

Henderson (10-0, 6 KOs) of Fort Worth, Texas will be taking a step up in competition as he travels to the hometown of Robinson, who himself has won 11 straight bouts.
