NEW YORK, NY – June 10, 2026 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced MVPW-06 UK vs. USA, headlined by  USA’s unified WBA and WBC super welterweight world champion Mikaela Mayer (22-2, 5 KOs) vs. the UK’s WBO super welterweight world champion Chantelle Cameron (22-1, 8 KOs). The 10-round title unification bout will be contested with two-minute rounds at 154lbs and takes place Saturday, August 29, at bp pulse LIVE in Birmingham, England, live on Sky Sports in the UK and ESPN+ in the US. The rarely-ever seen pound-for-pound clash sees ESPN’s #7 Mayer vs. ESPN’s #5 Cameron, putting three world titles on the line in both fighters’ first defenses in the division. Cameron won the WBO super welterweight title with a dominant performance in April 2026, a belt Mayer had won then vacated just months prior, and Mayer now looks to reclaim it alongside her WBA and WBC hardware.

Reigning unified WBA and WBC super welterweight world champion at 154lbs and the reigning WBO welterweight world champion at 147lbs Mikaela Mayer, 2016 U.S. Olympian, jumped out to a 17-0 record to begin her pro career while winning a pair of super featherweight world titles and becoming a pound-for-pound mainstay. WBC lightweight world champion “Sweet” Caroline Dubois fights out of London, England. Her amateur career was nothing short of legendary, a dominant run that included winning the gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, becoming England’s first World Youth Champion (2018), and capturing four European Youth Championship titles between 2016 and 2019. This amateur dominance earned her the prestigious BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award in 2019. In 2021, she represented Team GB at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals. Dubois made her professional debut in February 2022 and quickly established herself in the lightweight division. In September 2023, she earned her first major professional title, winning the vacant IBO lightweight world title via unanimous decision. Her ascent continued in August 2024, when she defeated Maira Moneo to claim the WBC Interim lightweight title. Following a relinquishment of the title, Dubois was elevated to become the WBC lightweight world champion in December 2024. The 25-year-old southpaw successfully retained her titles in 2025, securing a majority decision win against Bo Mi Re Shin in March 2025 before another successful title defense vs. Camilla Panatta on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua in December. Amelia Moore is an American lightweight boxer, two-time national amateur champion, and former member of Team USA. She began training as a boxer while she was still in high school, continuing to train during two years at the United States Naval Academy, where she was recruited to run track. A member of USA Boxing since 2011, Moore built an impressive amateur and professional career highlighted by national titles at the National Golden Gloves Championships and the USA Boxing National Championships. She also captured gold medals at the Elite National Championships and National PAL Championships, earned a bronze medal at the 2022 Continental Championships in Ecuador, and represented Team USA in international competition around the world. A longtime Olympic hopeful, Moore qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials and served as an alternate for Team USA during the Tokyo Olympic cycle. Moore made her pro debut in November 2024. In March 2026, just her fourth pro fight, she captured the NABF lightweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Bonnie Hunter, She is currently ranked the #5 WBO and #14 WBC contender at 135lbs. The inaugural event delivered a stacked night of action, headlined by MVP’s “Sweet” Caroline Dubois (13-0-1, 5 KOs) and MVP’s undefeated, unified WBO, WBC, and IBF super bantamweight world champion Ellie Scotney (12-0). Dubolis captured the unified WBO and WBC lightweight world titles over MVP’s three-division champion Terri “Belter” Harper (16-3-2, 6 KOs), while Scotney made history as the youngest undisputed champion in UK history, male or female, and the first-ever undisputed champion at 122 lbs as she faced Mexico’s Mayelli Flores (13-2-1, 4 KOs). Not pass it, but give Caroline the opportunity to take the baton from her. And I think that would be a massive fight at Croke Park.

My mom is the backbone of me and you know, I always go back to what she’s given me and I could never give her enough back. It was beautiful. It was a special moment for me. It meant more to me than winning the world title.

I’m absolutely ecstatic. I’m glad to make history and do the three-minute rounds and get it under my belt now.

It did feel different. I think I had to like kind of pace myself as well, but I think it suited me a lot better because I felt like I got better shots off. But I think 3 minutes is the way forward.

On going down a weight class:

I’m going to go down a weight. I think that weight was a bit too much for me. I think I felt the size in there a bit and she was really tough and maybe down a weight I could have got the stoppage but that weight is not for me.

I’d love it to be three minute rounds and I think Mikaela [Mayer] will do three rounds as well. I think she’s got the work rate and I think she’ll do three minute rounds and it would be a shame to go back to twos. It’s kind of like going backwards.

She now enters her seventh consecutive world title fight since May 2023, when she claimed the vacant IBF heavyweight title with a win over Alrie Meleisea, defending it once before moving down to win the vacant IBF light heavyweight title vs. Desley Robinson. Following another successful defense, Daniels then went the distance against Claressa Shields for the undisputed heavyweight world championship in July 2025, and most recently contended for the IBF world title at light heavyweight against Sarah Scheurich.

About Holly Holm

MVP’s Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm s widely regarded as the most dominant two-sport athlete in combat sports history. A pioneer in women’s boxing and a trailblazer in MMA, Holm is the only fighter to hold world titles in both disciplines, cementing her legacy as a generational talent and global icon. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Holm won the IKF national amateur championship title in 2001 before making her pro boxing debut in January 2002, winning by TKO. Holm won her first title, the IBA super lightweight crown, in December 2004. After three successful title defenses, she moved up to 147 lbs and secured the WBA welterweight title in June 2006. In June 2008, Holm stepped up to 154lbs in the super welterweight division to win the IBA and WBAN super welterweight titles. In December 2011, Holm was defeated by Anne Sophie Mathis for the vacant IBA female and WBAN welterweight titles. Holm faced Mathis in a rematch in June 2012, avenging the loss with a UD victory to add the WBF, IBA, and WBAN titles to her collection. Holm then moved back down to the super lightweight division to win the vacant WBF and IBA titles. In May 2013, Holm cemented her legacy as she defended the WBF and IBA super lightweight titles against Mary McGee. Holm pivoted into MMA in 2014, signing a multifight deal with the UFC. Her MMA career culminated in her headlining megafight against then-undefeated bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey in November 2015, the most highly attended UFC event in history at the time. Rousey was the overwhelming favorite going into the bout, but Holm leveraged her southpaw stance and boxing skill to control the opening round before landing a sensational knockout in the second round—and handing Rousey her first loss. As she earned the title, Holm became the first person to win championships in both boxing and MMA. She is currently ranked Boxrec’s #2 greatest pound-for-pound fighter of all time and remains the most dominant two-sport athlete of all time. After signing with MVP in May 2025, she faced then-undefeated Yolanda Vega on the Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. card in June 2025, winning by unanimous decision. She will now make her 24th world title fight appearance, almost thirteen years after her last title reign, as she contends for the WBA lightweight title against Stephanie Han.

LONDON, ENGLAND – February 20, 2026 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced further undercard bouts for Dubois vs. Harper and Scotney vs. Flores. Joining the card will be MVP’s Shannon “The Baby Face Assassin” Courtenay (10-3, 3 KOs) vs. Nottingham’s Sasha Booker (3-1) in an 8-round bout in the super flyweight division at 115lbs. Alongside them, MVP’s #1 IBF, #7 WBA, and #12 WBC contender Elizabeth Oshoba (9-0, 5 KOs) will make her promotional debut vs. Hull, Yorkshire’s Chelsey Arnell (5-2-1) in a 6-round featherweight bout at 126lbs contested under equal rules, three-minute rounds. Luton, Bedfordshire’s Tysie Gallagher (10-2) will also face Finland’s Teresa Makinen (5-0) in an 8-round super bantamweight bout at 122lbs. The company’s highly-anticipated United Kingdom market debut comes on Sunday, April 5 at Olympia in London, England, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Also on the card will be Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire’s Gemma Richardson (2-0, 1 KO) vs. Czech boxer Johana Rochl (6-6-1, 2 KOs) in a 6-round lightweight bout at 135lbs. Ilford, Essex boxer Arjon Basi (2-0) will also join the preliminary card against to-be-named opponents. Former WBA bantamweight world champion and Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire native Shannon “The Baby Face Assassin” Courtenay made her pro debut in March 2019 and claimed the vacant WBA bantamweight title in April 2021. Courtenay was stripped of her title ahead of her first defense in October 2021 when she came in 2.5?lb over the limit, an issue she attributed to an unexpected menstrual cycle. Courtenay made her promotional debut with MVP in December 2025, winning by UD.

“I’m excited to be fighting at home in London and even more excited to be back on Sky Sports where it all started for me!” said Shannon Courtenay. “All my knockouts and my world title win happened on Sky Sports so it feels like a good omen to be back where I was at my best.”

Sasha Booker is a 34-year-old pro boxer from Stapleford, Nottingham. After a busy amateur career, she turned pro in 2024, most recently earning a points win in December 2025. Booker credits her dedication and hard work for propelling her to her early career success. Outside the ring, she runs her own business. 

“As I look to the future, I’m eager for the opportunity to take on hard fights and compete for titles,” said Sasha Booker. “I’m ready to mix it up with the big names in the sport and showcase the dedication that has brought me this far. My journey is just beginning, and I’m excited to see where my hard work will lead me next.”

Elizabeth Temitayo Oshoba fights out of Bristol, England via Sango Ota, Nigeria. As an amateur, she was a 6x Nigerian national amateur champion and won bronze at the 2019 All African Games, gold at the 2020 African Zone 3 Championships, and silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Oshoba relocated to the UK to make her pro debut in September 2022, clinched the IBO female super featherweight title in November 2023, then became Nigeria’s first female world title holder and the WBC Silver featherweight champion in January 2024. She is the #1 IBF, #7 WBA, and #12 WBC contender.

Chelsey Arnell is a 35-year-old professional boxer from Hull, England with a 5-2-1 record. She has challenged for both the Central Area title and the English title so far in her pro career. As an amateur, she had 30 bouts and trained at Kingston ABC, St Paul’s ABC, and Lionheart ABC. Arnell is managed by Glenn Banks and trained by Steve Ashton. Outside the ring, she works as a secondary school teacher.

“I am very excited to be boxing on MVP, which is one of the biggest platforms in the world, and to be boxing on an all-female show,” said Chelsey Arnell. “I’m really looking forward to boxing three-minute rounds, which will suit my style of boxing much better rather than just rushing through the two-minute rounds. I’m really grateful for this opportunity and look forward to taking it with both hands.”

Tysie “The First Lady” Gallagher is a 27-year-old from Luton, Bedfordshire. She began boxing at age 10 and finished her amateur career with 35 fights, winning two national titles, finishing twice as an ABA Senior Elite finalist, and representing England internationally. After turning pro, she made history as the first-ever female British super bantamweight champion, has held the Commonwealth and WBO International titles at 122lbs, and contested for the WBO world title in November 2023. She is currently the IBF #4, WBO #6, and WBC #15 contender. Outside the ring, she is a proud mother to her seven-year-old daughter.

“I’m looking forward to my MVP debut on a fantastic bill in London,” said Tysie Gallagher. “I’m ready to impress and show why I believe that I’m the number one super bantamweight in the world!”

At just 21 years old, Teresa Makinen has compiled an impressive 86 amateur bouts and established herself as one of the most decorated Scandinavian female amateur boxers, fighting out of Espoo, Finland. A multiple-time national champion, she earned gold medals at the GeeBee Tournament, Tammer Tournament, Golden Girl Tournament, and Youth Boxam Tournament, building a standout international résumé at a young age. Outside the gym, she works as a PT.

“Being part of MVP’s first UK show is a big step for me and I am very grateful to them,” said Teresa Makinen. “I respect Tysie Gallagher and what she’s achieved, but I’m coming to perform at my highest level. I stay calm, I stay disciplined, and on Sunday, April 5th I will show that I’m ready for the next stage — which is title contention.”

Gemma Richardson is a rising British professional boxer who built her reputation through

years of elite-level success in the amateur ranks. A decorated amateur, Richardson’s pedigree includes a Commonwealth Games Silver Medal, European and World Youth titles, and numerous National Championships, achievements that underline both her talent and her ability to perform on major stages. Since turning pro, she has wasted no time accelerating her career and now looks to prove herself on a major platform, viewing it as a defining moment and a chance to prove she belongs at the highest level.

Johana Rajmont is a tough and ambitious super lightweight pro from Prague, Czech Republic.

She’s gained valuable experience quickly across Europe and is known for her grit, work rate, and willingness to take on real challenges. Now fully focused on her upcoming clash with Gemma Richardson, Rajmont is ready to seize this opportunity. 

“I have mixed with the best and served a difficult apprenticeship,” said Johana Rajmont. “I fully intend on upsetting Gemma Richardson on this massive world stage.”

Arjon “The Bullet” Basi is an unbeaten super lightweight boxer from East London whose journey from a spirited youngster with a quick temper to a professional pugilist has been remarkable. Introduced to boxing to channel his energy, the sport became his discipline and passion, helping him excel as an amateur, winning London titles, representing at county level, and reaching a national final while sparring with top-level fighters. Basi made his professional debut in 2025 against Welsh champion Angelo Dragone, then earned a win over Karl Sampson. Proud of his Punjabi Sikh heritage and roots in East London, Basi carries both his cultural identity and family support into every fight. 

MVP previously announced the event will be headlined by the long-anticipated clash of MVP’s British champions, Caroline Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs) vs. Terri Harper (16-2-2, 6 KOs), a 10-round women’s championship bout for the unified WBO and WBC lightweight world titles, contested at 135lbs. In the historic double main event, MVP and England’s unified super bantamweight world champion Ellie Scotney (11-0) will face Mexico’s WBA world champion Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) in a 10-round undisputed super bantamweight championship bout contested at 122 lbs. Entering the fight, Scotney is the youngest UK women’s boxer in history to fight for undisputed, and if she wins, she will become the youngest UK boxer in the four belt era in history to become undisputed world champion–male or female. Also on the card, MVP’s former undisputed champion and current #3 WBO contender Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron (21-1, 8 KOs) will face #4 WBO contender Michaela Kotaskova (11-0-4, 2 KOs) in a 10 round championship bout for the WBO super welterweight world title at 154lbs as Cameron aims to win a world championship in a second weight division. Mexico’s IBF super flyweight champion Irma Garcia (25-5-1, 5 KOs) will also make a 10-round world title defense at 115lbs against England’s Emma Dolan (8-0, 1 KO).

Former WBA bantamweight world champion at 118lbs and Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire native, Shannon “The Baby Face Assassin” Courtenay transformed her life and career after discovering boxing in her early twenties, trading in a party lifestyle for intense discipline at Finchley ABC in London. Elizabeth Temitayo Oshoba (9-0, 5 KOs) is an undefeated 26-year-old Nigerian featherweight boxer at 126 lbs. Growing up in a challenging neighborhood in Lagos, Oshaba was inspired by her older brother in the Nigerian Army to become tough and succeed despite all odds. On the significance of the fight and her legacy: “It represents the start. This is the start, and I’m happy, and I’m thankful to Nakisa, to Jake Paul, to MVP for making it happen. I can’t wait. Honestly, as I said, this is the start of my future, my legacy, or my greatness. I believe I’m going all the way, and it starts with Terri.”

On her rivalry with Terri Harper: “I called her irrelevant because I believe that she is. I’m not focusing on Terry Harper, I never have, and I never will. I’m focusing on the belt, my future, and my legacy. My legacy starts with becoming undisputed at the lightweight division. Unfortunately for Terri, she’s the one holding the belt, so that’s who I’ve got in my mind. But if it were anyone, and I mean anyone, it wouldn’t matter. My energy, my intensity, and my mindset would be the same.”

On her confidence and preparation: “There’s a quote that I’ve heard recently that’s just stuck with me. It says, ‘If you want to win the lottery, you still got to make the money to buy the ticket.’ I believe Terri Harper is my lottery ticket to the future. Whatever I want is on the other side of her. But I still got to make the money, and the money is made in the gym. I’m going to work my ass to the bone. I’m going to leave no stone unturned, train like I’ve never trained before.”

TERRI HARPER QUOTES

On the opportunity and being her authentic self: “She’s doing a great job selling the fight. She’s doing my work for me. So I’m just being my authentic self. I’m here, and I’m enjoying the moment. I’m focused on what I need to do.”

On her experience in the ring: “I feel like this fight is the perfect time in my career. As Caroline says, I’ve got experience, and honestly, the stars have aligned. I’ve got a great team around me now, and I’m just hungrier more than I have ever been.” 

On being overlooked by Dubois: “I’ve been there in my career before, where I’ve been looking at future fights before I’ve even done the fight in front of me. That was a mistake I had to learn the hard way. I feel like Caroline is doing that now. I feel like I’m not here for her respect, but I feel like she’s massively overlooking me and thinks it’s going to be an easy night.”

On what a win over Dubois would mean to her: “For me, this fight isn’t about the belts. Like for me, I just want to beat Caroline, and that’ll be the sweetest victory of my career.” 

ELLIE SCOTNEY QUOTES

On rescheduling her bout vs. Flores: “I was gutted. I was thinking, have I missed the opportunity? And you know, I always feel that the Lord’s time is better than ours. And to be fighting on the resurrection of Jesus Christ proved that to me. You know, every setback’s aligned. And April the 5th, I’ll become undisputed champion in front of my home crowd.”

On earning recognition in the UK: “I feel like I’ve done everything the right way. I’d like to think, as in I’ve never boxed for a vacant title. I’ve gone from champion to champion to champion. And the final one awaits me on April the 5th. I feel like holding integrity through it all will be the thing that will make you stand out in the long run. I just feel like doing it the right way might be the longer way, but I feel like it’s the way Ellie was meant to do it.”  

On fighting in the UK: “Whenever I pictured fighting for undisputed, it was always at home. So the fact that MVP has over-delivered for me, everything I’ve thought or imagined, they bettered.

On how she joined the card: “Thank you to MVP, Nakisa [Bidarian], Mike [Leanardi], and Jake Paul, cause they got me this opportunity. It wasn’t in the plan, but it’s just worked out. Everything just worked out perfectly for me. I started the year off, and everything’s aligning again. I went back to Jamie [Moore] and Nigel [Travis]. It was my fourth day back in the gym, and the next thing I’m getting a phone call from my manager saying that I’ve got a world title shot as well. So, it was all within a week. I’m just thankful.” 

On future bouts: “There are so many great women boxers out there now, and I’m more

looking at Mikaela Mayer, kind of that division, Lauren Price. But, you know, whatever happens happens. I think that’s what I’ve learned in my boxing career. You just got to go with the flow and win your fights.” 

On the move to 3-minute rounds: “I’ve wanted to do three-minute rounds for years now, but I’ve never kind of had the opportunity. But with MVP, they are massive supporters of three-minute rounds as well. So, we spoke about it, and they were going to get me three-minute rounds, and they got me the vacant WBO world title to go along with it.”

The event will feature a double main event headlined by the long-anticipated clash of MVP’s British champions, “Sweet” Caroline Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs) vs. Terri “Belter” Harper (16-2-2, 6 KOs), a 10-round women’s championship bout for the unified WBO and WBC lightweight world titles, contested at 135lbs. In the historic double main event, MVP and England’s unified super bantamweight world champion Ellie Scotney (11-0) will face Mexico’s WBA world champion Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) in a 10-round undisputed super bantamweight championship bout contested at 122 lbs. Entering the fight, Scotney is the youngest UK women’s boxer in history to fight for undisputed, and if she wins, she will become the youngest UK boxer in the four belt era in history to become undisputed world champion–male or female. The event will stream live on Sky Sports in the UK, with the US broadcast home to be announced soon.

Joining the card will be MVP’s former undisputed champion and current #3 WBO contender Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron (21-1, 8 KOs) vs. #4 WBO contender Michaela Kotaskova (11-0-4, 2 KOs). Cameron vs. Kotaskova will be a 10 round championship bout for the WBO super welterweight world title at 154lbs as Cameron aims to win a world championship in a second weight division. Also on the card, Mexico’s IBF super flyweight champion Irma Garcia (25-5-1, 5 KOs) will make a 10-round women’s world title defense at 115lbs against England’s Emma Dolan (8-0, 1 KO).

MVP will host the Kickoff Press Conference for the event on Friday, February 6 at 1pm GMT at Olympia, London. In August 2024, she won the WBC Interim lightweight title, then was elevated to become the WBC lightweight world champion in December 2024. The 33-year-old Flores represents Mexico with pride as she continues her rise among the sport’s elite.

Between 2017 and 2022, she represented the Austrian national boxing team and became a multiple-time Austrian national champion, then turned professional in 2022 and won the WBF welterweight title in April 2024. Kotaskova is the WBO’s #1 contender at 147lbs and #4 contender at 154lbs.

Irma “La Torbellino” García is a professional boxer, attorney, police officer, and member of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City. In the ring, she is both a former and current world champion, having previously won the WBA bantamweight world title at 118lbs and now holds the IBF super flyweight world title at 115lbs. 

“I’m proud to make my second title defense with one of the biggest promotions in the world, MVP,” said Irma Garcia. “We know what’s in front of us—this is a serious challenge against an undefeated fighter who’s coming hungry. Emma Dolan hails from Newark, England by way of Norfolk, and is the current British and Commonwealth super flyweight champion at 115lbs. Dolan has climbed up the world rankings with consecutive wins in 2023 that saw her win and defend the Commonwealth super flyweight title. She added the British title to her collection in a ‘Fight of The Year Contender’ vs. Shannon Ryan in June 2024, and has defended both successfully. Now the IBF #1 contender, she aims to become the first British fighter to hold any version of the 115lb weight division’s titles.

WBO lightweight world champion Terri “Belter” Harper fights out of Doncaster, England. During her brief career at the amateur level, competing only 17 times, she earned three national titles and won silver at the 2012 European Junior Championships. Doncaster, England – [May 21, 2025] – The first face-offs of fight week for GBM: Harper vs Zimmerman took place at today’s pre-fight press conference in Doncaster Rovers’ EcoPower Stadium, scene of the event taking place this Friday night and airing live worldwide on the DAZN network. 

Hometown heroine Terri Harper defends her WBO World Lightweight Championship against undefeated German contender Natalie Zimmerman, while chief support Maxi Hughes and Archie Sharp will contest the WBC Silver Lightweight Championship, a valuable strap which places the winner immediately into the WBC World Championship contender conversation.

Former world champion Hughes talked of his burning desire to win a major world title in the near future and said the sacrifices of a hard training camp had been heavy on his two children, a price he said the talented Kent man Sharp “has to pay”.

CARDIFF, UK (February 12, 2025) – Rising Welsh star Rhys Edwards has inked a long-term promotional deal with next generation promoter BOXXER.

Edwards (16-1, 4 KOs) has impressed on BOXXER cards in recent years. The 24-year-old from Penygraig scored a points victory over former British Champion Brad Foster in November 2023 before capturing the WBA Intercontinental belt with a unanimous points win over former WBA #1 Thomas Patrick Ward in front of his home fans in Cardiff in May 2024.

Stepping in at short notice, Edwards closed out 2024 by going toe-to-toe with Peter McGrail on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury II at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia in a fight that many felt the Welshman had done enough to win.

LONDON, UK (February 11, 2025) – Chloe Watson defends her European Flyweight Title against Jasmina Zapotoczna as the final fight card is now confirmed for BOXXER’s historic all-women’s event on Friday, March 7th at the Royal Albert Hall in London, live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland.

Watson captured the European Flyweight crown with a unanimous points win over Justine Lallemand in December 2023. The 24-year-old was scheduled to make the first defence of her belt against Zapotoczna in September 2024, but a shoulder injury forced the fight to be postponed.

Zapotoczna earned her shot at Watson’s European title with an impressive victory over the previously unbeaten Maisey Rose Courtney. Born in Poland but based in Wakefield, the 30-year-old will be looking to upset another of Britain’s top prospects following her unanimous decision win over Courtney.

Watson, undefeated in her eight professional contests, is trained by British boxing legend Ricky Hatton. She boxes on Sky Sports for the second time having outpointed Gemma Reugg at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle in 2022.

The 24-year-old from Birkenhead is looking forward to fighting on the undercard of fellow Merseyside boxer Natasha Jonas, who inspired Watson to start boxing when visiting her school after the London 2012 Olympics.

‘Sweet Caroline’ Dubois captured the WBC Interim World Title with a one-sided points win over Maira Moneo in Barnsley in August. The Tokyo 2020 Olympian was then upgraded to full WBC Champion when Irish boxing legend Katie Taylor opted to vacate her lightweight title rather than face her.

Making the first defence of her WBC crown on January 11th in Sheffield, Dubois had to settle for a frustrating technical draw against Jessica Camara. LONDON, UK (January 21, 2024) – Olympic star Cindy Ngamba has signed a multi-fight promotional deal with BOXXER and will make her professional debut as part of a historic all-women’s boxing event at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Friday, March 7th, live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and Peacock in the USA.

Ngamba made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics by becoming the first ever athlete to win a medal for the Refugee Team. The 26-year-old beat reigning world champion Tamara Thibeault in her opening bout before defeating French boxer Davina Michel to secure her place on the podium and in the history books.

Ngamba’s achievements in the ring have made her an inspiration to many around the world. Born in Cameroon, she moved to the UK when she was 10 years old. Ngamba started boxing aged 15 at Bolton’s Elite Boxing Gym.

HAMBURG, GERMANY (December 11, 2024) – Caroline Dubois has today been crowned WBC World Lightweight Champion following a ruling by WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman at the WBC’s annual convention in Hamburg.

‘Sweet Caroline’ Dubois captured the WBC interim title with a unanimous points victory over Maira Moneo in August. LONDON, UK (July 16, 2024) – Caroline Dubois, one of the most exciting prospects in world boxing, has committed her future to BOXXER, signing a long-term promotional pact with the next generation boxing promoter.

Confirmation of the new deal comes with an announcement of world title action for the fast-rising star, who faces Maira Moneo for the IBO and WBC Interim World Lightweight Championships on Saturday, August 3rd at Oakwell Stadium in Barnsley, live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland and Peacock in the USA.

Dubois will be defending her IBO World Title, while Moneo puts her WBC Interim World Title on the line with the winner set on a collision course to face Irish boxing legend and current WBC World Lightweight Champion Katie Taylor.

Twenty-three-year-old star ‘Sweet Caroline’ Dubois (9-0, 5 KOs) has got off to the perfect start to her professional career having already been crowned Youth Olympic, World Youth and four-time European Youth champion as an amateur.

Dubois’ unbeaten run in the paid ranks includes a convincing win over Magali Rodriguez to claim the IBO World Title in September 2023 and a successful defence of the belt against Miranda Reyes in February 2024.

The Shane McGuigan trained fighter will now fight for the WBC Interim World Title title as she joins a historic night of boxing in Barnsley topped by the British and Commonwealth Super Middleweight Title fight between defending champion Zak Chelli and local star Callum Simpson.

To realise a dream fight with Katie Tylor, Dubois must first overcome Moneo (14-1, 3 KO), the former WBA Interim World Lightweight Title holder and current WBC Interim World Lightweight Champion.   

Known as ‘La Panterita’, the thirty-one-year-old Uruguayan, Moneo, has mixed with top level opposition. She holds a victory over former two-weight world ruler Erica Anabella Farias and the only blemish on her record is the result of a disqualification in a 2020 bout with Yanina del Carmen Lescano due to a clash of heads.

In a very competitive and high-stakes battle of undefeated light heavyweights, Joshua Buatsi won a 12-round unanimous decision over Dan Azeez at The Ovo Arena in London.

The fighters took turning taking rounds early as Azeez looked ti get inside and land power shots, while Buatsi was able to set up his power shots behind a long jab.

In round 11, Buatsi dropped Azeez with a right hand. At the end of the round, Azeez went down again when a left landed and Azeez went down on his front. In round 12, Buatsi rocked Azeez across the ring

Buatsi landed 228 of 841 punches. Azeez was 159 of 713.

Buatsi, 174 lbs of London won by scores of 117-109 and 116-112 twice and is now 18-0. Azeez, 172.3 lbs of London is now 20-1.

Adam Azim remained undefeated with a fifth round stoppage over Enock Poulsen

In round five, Azim put Poulson down with a left hand. Poulson complained of a right shoulder injury and the bout was stopped at 2:39.

Azim, 140 lbs of England is 11-0 with eight knockouts. Poulsen, 139.5 lbs of Denmark via Zambia is 14-1.

Ben Whittaker remained undefeated with a five-round beatdown of Khalid Graidia in a scheduled eight-round light heavyweight bout.

In round two, Whittaker dropped Graidia with a left hand.

In round five, Whittaker battered Graidia with nine unanswered hard blows and the fight was stopped at 1:57

Whittaker, 175 lbs is 6-0 with five knockouts. Graidia, 176 lbs is 10-14-5.

Caroline Dubois won a 10-round unanimous decision over Miranda Reyes in a lightweight bout.

Dubois, 134.5 lbs of London won by scores of 100-90 on all cards and is now 9-0. Reyes, 134 lbs of Houston is 7-2-1.

Jeamie TKV won a six-round decision over Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko in a heavyweight bout.

London, England – (30th September 2023) – Caroline Dubois claimed the IBO World Lightweight Championship in only her 8th professional fight following a ferocious 10 round war with a tough, talented opponent in Mexico’s Magali Rodriguez.

Dubois dominated the scorecards to a unanimous decision victory (98-89, 97-90, 99-88) at the historic York Hall, Bethnal Green and live on Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Main Event tonight.

Dubois started to grow into the rhythm of the fight in the third round, landing some heavy body which hurt Rodriguez, forcing her to defend her torso as well as her head and thereby inadvertently opening up more opportunities for Dubois to land in all areas. 

This led to a brutal knockdown in the 6th round, a devastating right hook to Rodriguez’s jaw set up by a textbook one-two combination which allowed the hook to land perfectly. 

A missile-like right hand left Rodriguez splayed out on the canvas on the edge of consciousness at the start of the 9th round, and Dubois was seconds away from a stoppage at multiple points across the round. But Rodriguez came back and fought hard across the rounds, firing off shots in bunches and landing some good shots.

Dubois was only eight years old when Rodriguez made her professional debut, with the gap in professional experience between the two being eye-watering. However, this gap between the pair’s resumés was totally reversed in reality, with Dubois growing into a world class fighter at the very top of the sport in the ring tonight.

With the IBO belt already claimed at 22 years old, it seems ludicrous to suggest Caroline Dubois won’t claim multiple World Championships in her professional career. As of right now, it looks like nothing and no-one can slow her down.

Caroline Dubois said to Sky Sports after the fight: “She came out swinging. Even when I dropped her, she really wanted it and that was exactly what I needed. I think it was my career best performance in the ring, but there’s so much more for me to give. I really wanted the knockout, as you can tell. I’m 22. What’s going to happen when I’m 25, 26? Viddal Riley took his professional record to 10 victories without defeat and claimed the English Championship with his flawless victory over a fellow unbeaten prospect in Nathan Quarless. 

Quarless was highly tipped to give Viddal problems in this fight but the new Champion more than rose to the occasion, producing a boxing masterclass with power to back it up to win every single round.

Viddal glided through the fight with a perfect rhythm and flow, picking his shots perfectly and choosing his moments of aggression and forward movement to make sure they bore results, never wasting his energy on shots that wouldn’t land well.

From English Championships would seemingly naturally follow British Championships, but whoever Viddal Riley chooses to fight next, it’s clear he’d give anyone in the division a very hard fight, and his star might never stop rising.

A horrific cut to the upper eye of Jeamie TKV ended this exciting heavyweight clash as tough Brazilian Igor Macedo was too much for undefeated heavyweight prospect Jeamie TKV and took victory.

The heavyweight pair went back and forth for five rounds with both men having periods of success and landing heavy shots on the other, with neither man taking a step back across the fight.

TKV will be devastated to lose his undefeated record, and that loss coming from a doctor’s stoppage will add to the sting, but he got five and a half unquantifiably valuable rounds in that ring tonight, and will come back a much better, wiser fighter. Where both men go from here is uncertain, but the certainty of both of their hearts and toughness is beyond doubt.

Igor Macedo said to Sky Sports after the fight: “I’m very happy because I saw that my opponent is strong but five fights, three knockouts, that’s disrespectful to me because I have 11 wins, 11 knockouts. But maybe I’ll come back, maybe we’ll have a rematch.”

Rising star and former Central Area Champion Callum Simpson gave an intelligent measured performance against a pitbull-like opponent in Jose Macias, who came in as a late replacement for Simpson and fought with unquestionable ferocity and determination. 

The change of opponent makes the clinical nature of Simpson’s win even more impressive, winning every single round on every single judge’s scorecard and taking a knockdown along the way. Simpson used his jab well through the fight and never overcommitted, not once finding himself in unnecessary danger.

Despite the flawless cards, Simpson was made to work in every round, and got a vital further 10 rounds of experience in the 14th fight of his undefeated professional career. Simpson is only 26 years old, but already looks set for huge domestic fights in the near future against the UK’s best and bravest at 168bs soon.

Callum Simpson said to Sky Sports after the fight: “Like I said, tonight you were going to see a much more measured, clinical performance. Nothing daft. There were a few times where I caught him with clean shots, but I didn’t rush in, put my shots together, and tried to keep my range. Even when I dropped him, I didn’t want to rush in.”

Daughter of famous promoter Mick and brother of young prospect Michael Jr, Francesca Hennessy stamped her mark as part of the boxing family with an impressive debut stoppage victory at only 18 years old. 

Hennessy boxed smartly from the first bell, feinting and waiting for gaps to appear in her Sonia Klos’s guard before firing off a few pinpoint shots to her opponent’s jaw. After a particularly brutal assault in the 4th round, doctors ruled Klos could not continue into the 5th, giving Hennessy her debut victory.

Tetley had moments of success, but McKenna always came back and threw an unrelenting swarm of punches that no-one could have stood up to on his way to a convincing victory that should set the 26-year-old up for big fights in future.

Entering the professional ranks following an accomplished amateur career which saw her win two national championships, the Women’s Winter Box Cup and Sweden’s Golden Girls Box Cup, the talented 18-year-old hopes to follow in the world championship footsteps of stablemates Savannah Marshall and Natasha Jonas.

Daughter of veteran boxing manager and promoter Mick Hennessy, head of Hennessy Sports, the young Hennessy has never been short of inspiration. Her childhood years were populated by some of boxing’s biggest names – including heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, who was long part of her father’s stable – and she has all but grown up in the ring.

“I’m turning professional now, signing with the best platform, best promotion – I’m more than ready, I’m ready to shake up boxing. My style is very unique. I like to move and groove. I’m a bit of a show-woman. You’re going to see some excitement for sure,” said Hennessy.

The stunning ascent of Caroline Dubois (7-0, 5 KO’s) scales new heights when the 22-year-old prodigy steps up to challenge for the IBO lightweight world title in just her eighth professional bout. The prodigious Dubois faces power-punching Mexican veteran Magali Rodriguez (22-6-4, 9 KO’s), a former WBA world title challenger and current WBC title holder who has a 40% finish rate in her professional victories.

BOXXER: Breakthrough at York Hall, London takes place Saturday, September 30 and airs live and exclusively in the UK and Ireland on Sky Sports.

Frazer Clarke and Mariusz Wach put on open workouts in central London on Wednesday,  Wach powering punches into his padholder’s mitts while Olympic bronze medallist Clarke shadow-boxed skilfully in the sweltering heat.

Midlands man Clarke rates the experienced Wach highly and has put in a serious training camp. 

“It’s been really difficult. I’ve taken this fight very seriously. Mariusz Wach is a very good opponent.

“This is true competition between two fighters that both want to win. He’s very good at what he does, very experienced. I’ve got full respect for him. But I’m here to do a job.”

“Much respect to this man. He’s absolutely correct there will be solid shots going in and I expect solid shots back. A competitive fight, a good fight and I hope it entertains everyone.

“If it goes the distance, it goes the distance. I take this round by round. I’m confident in my ability and I know what I came to do. I want to let people know that I’m here and I mean business. I want titles.”

Wach is also a man on a mission:

“I know it’s going to be a tough task but I’m here to win. I know I’m going to get hit with a few solid shots. But I’m not going to back down. I’m here to put on a hell of a show. I want this fight to be remembered.”

Caroline Dubois is also on the title trail.

She will attempt to prove her world class credentials in a key step-up against Argentina’s Yanina Lescano on Friday’s show.

“I’m aiming for the top dogs. I’m not going to get there fighting nobodies and people that aren’t going to push me. I’m not going to learn and I’m not going to improve,” Dubois told Sky Sports News.

Lescano is well ranked with world title sanctioning bodies and gave Olympic champion Estelle Mossely a good fight. It’s a significant moment then for Dubois but one the Londoner welcomes.

“When you step in the ring with someone who’s up there, the only way you’re going to beat them is by going above them. Hopefully she comes and brings it, which I’m sure she will,” Dubois said.

“I’m ready to raise my game.”

Aaron McKenna subjected fellow unbeaten fighter Uisma Lima to a tense staredown after their public workouts.

Lima, with a knockout ratio of 80 percent, might be dangerous but McKenna warned: “He’s never ever shared the ring with anyone like me.”

The Irishman wants to be the finisher in this fight. “I believe I will knock this guy out,” McKenna said. “I’ve seen a few clips of his fights and he doesn’t like getting hit.

Isaac Chamberlain is putting behind him the frustration of Mikael Lawal pulling out of their British cruiserweight title fight and his bout being postponed from the Bournemouth bill at the end of last month.

“It’s just about keeping my professionalism,” Chamberlain said. “The team that I have, they’ve kept me on track.”

On Friday, the Londoner gets to fight in front of a home crowd against Dylan Bregeon, a former European title challenger and French national champion.

“Very, very credible,” Chamberlain said. “I’m always focused, I’m always locked in and I can’t wait to put on a great performance.”

York Hall was also the scene of a great win for Chamberlain when, against Wadi Camacho in 2016, he won despite dislocating his shoulder.

“I still have PTSD from that fight! It’s literally like a lion’s den,” Chamberlain said of the historic venue. “There’s something special about York Hall. It’ll go on forever. It’s one of the legendary arenas of British boxing.

“I expect a great night of boxing. All I have to do is adapt and overcome. I’ve been motivated throughout the setbacks.”

He final predication was simple: “Knockout.”

Anees Taj has drawn Viddal Riley into a rematch, which will also take place on this York Hill bill.

Riley beat him in February but Taj insisted: “It was an inconclusive victory because of the cut.”

If that last bout did leave any unanswered questions, Riley has every intention of settling the issue on Friday. “He’s here again so I’m looking forward to it. After Friday, it will be conclusive,” Riley promised.

“I’m just looking forward to having the most spoken about, anticipated, exciting fight on the night.”

LONDON, ENGLAND – (June 12, 2023) – East London’s historic York Hall has been a milestone in the journeys of many British boxing greats, from three-time world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, record-setting super-middleweight Joe Calzaghe and middleweight icon Nigel Benn. 

This Friday, the new generation of Britain’s brightest boxing talent make their first appearances in the famed venue as part of the BOXXER Fight Night event airing live and exclusively on Sky Sports.

The five-fight televised card features Frazer Clarke (6-0, 5 KO’s) and Caroline Dubois (6-0, 5 KO’s)  in key breakout battles, undefeated Irish standout Aaron McKenna (16-0, 8 KO’s) in a WBC title bout, a second instalment of the heated rivalry between Viddal Riley (8-0, 5 KO’s) and Anees Taj (7-3, 5 KO’s) plus the return to the ring of #1 British Cruiserweight Championship contender Isaac Chamberlain (14-2, 8 KO’s)..

Battle-tested veteran Mariusz Wach (37-9, 20 KO’s) awaits Clarke in the ring. The Polish fighter has faced numerous household names of the heavyweight boxing scene and took Hall of Fame inductee Wladimir Klitschko when he challenged him for the unified world heavyweight championship in 2012. 

A stiff test awaits Dubois as she faces South American champion Yanina ‘Panterita’ Lescano (13-2, 4 KO’s), who last year lost a controversial decision in Dubai when she challenged Estelle Mossely in her challenge for the IBO World Lightweight Championship.

With Dubois’ star on the rise – the undefeated young prodigy has scored five of her six wins inside the distance since turning professional last year – Lescano heads to London hoping to stop her momentum and steal her shine, while the ambitious Dubois wants a statement win which will add weight to her calls for world title challenges in the near future.

A literal monster of a title fight occupies the midpoint of the Sky Sports televised card as Aaron McKenna (16-0, 8 KO’s) faces undefeated Uisma ‘Monstro’ Lima (10-8 KO’s) for the WBC International Middleweight Championship, with Lima having an 80% finish rate and three KO wins from his last four outings.

Heated cruiserweight rivals Viddal Riley (8-0,5 KO’s) and Anees Taj are fighting a second instalment of their feud, with neither having been satisfied with the cut stoppage which made Riley the TKO winner of their January first encounter, while Issac Chamberlain – the #1 contender for the British Cruiserweight Championship – returns to the ring in the opening bout of the televised card. 

Super-lightweight prodigy Adam Azim, British boxing’s hottest prospect, had been due to headline this Friday’s event but has been forced to withdraw due to a severe infection in the dorsal hood of his left hand, which his team believe was acquired when Azim cut his knuckles in a training session several weeks ago.

Housing the tendons responsible for finger movement, the infected area has proven resistant to prescription antibiotics and is so painful that Azim could not use the hand in a test sparring session at the end of last week, prompting his team to withdraw him. Azim will be rescheduled for a BOXXER card later this year.

LONDON, ENGLAND – (May 15th, 2023) – Long hailed as one of the best young prospects ever to emerge from the British circuit, Adam Azim (8-0, 6 KO’s) will next month take another step towards the greatness widely predicted for him when he faces dangerous Ukrainian Aram Fanyan (22-1, 4 KO’s) at London’s historic York Hall on Friday, June 16th.

The 20-year-old prodigy’s seemingly unstoppable rise from highly-decorated amateur to hotly-tipped professional has former world champion Amir Khan predicting he will win his first world championship before 22, the age Khan first became champion.

In pursuit of his fast-track to contention, Azim steps up another level again for his next opponent when he faces Fanyan, who has nearly three times the amount of professional experience and has lost just once in his career.

Caroline Dubois (6-0, 5 KO’s), Azim’s stablemate at McGuigan’s Gym under noted trainer Shane McGuigan, is also taking a step up in opposition on June 16th as she seeks to continue her rise to the top of her division. 

Yanina del Carmen Lescano (13-2, 4 KO’s) was just one scorecard away from becoming IBO World Lightweight Champion last year, losing her March 2022 title challenge against 2016 Olympic gold medallist Estelle Mossely by way of a split-decision which sparked much debate among boxing’s fanbase.

Since then she has made three more defences of the South American Lightweight Championship she won in 2020. Two of those three wins have come by way of knockout, the most recent being a quick finish in her native Argentina last month.

Riding a five-fight streak of KO and TKO wins, Dubois is also a proven fight-finisher and an explosive encounter beckons at York Hall next month when she faces off with her Argentinian antagonist. 

Previously scheduled for June 10th – the same day as the Champion’s League Final – the event will now take place in the same venue on Friday, June 16th and will air live and exclusively on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Showcase in the UK and Ireland.

All tickets purchased for the sold-out event on the original date remain valid for the new date.

The move comes as a result of changes to the programming schedule following the recent relocation of the blockbuster Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr event to a new date of July 1st – a result of Smith extending his training camp by two weeks to work around a minor injury – and also avoids a clash with the Champions League Final taking place that night.

“With the event already sold out, we’re expecting an incredible atmosphere in York Hall on Friday, June 16th as Adam Azim headlines for the third time in his young professional career. His Ukrainian opponent Aram Fanyan is dangerous and experienced – it’s a very tough test for Adam as he continues his remarkable rise,” remarked BOXXER’s promoter and CEO Ben Shalom.

“Caroline Dubois is taking on an incredible challenge on June 16th as well. Yanina Lescano nearly became world champion last year, a lot of people felt she won that fight against Estelle Mossely and should be champion now. 

“For Caroline to be facing a recent world title contender in just her seventh professional fight speaks volumes about her level and her heart. I’ve always said she’s going to be the future face of women’s boxing and it’s fights like this which will get her there.

“The fact we’re moving from the same evening as the Champions League Final is a total coincidence but it’s definitely welcome news for those fans who were set to spend their night double-screening between this card and the football. I expect a few of the fighters on the card will be quite pleased as well!”

Other treats on the June 16th card include the return to the ring of slick super-middleweight Callum Simpson (11-0, 9 KO’s), a hotly-tipped prospect by boxing insiders, and a highly-charged rematch between feuding cruiserweights Viddal Riley (8-0, 5 KO’s) and Anees Taj (7-3, 5 KO’s). 

It’s a literal ‘bad blood’ second tilt: Riley won their February fight by way of doctor’s stoppage due to a cut over Taj’s eyebrow, but neither man was satisfied with the conclusion and they now seek a more definitive end to their feud. 

BOXXER’s next event takes place in Bournemouth on Saturday, May 27th and will be the biggest boxing event in the history of the South Coast region when Bournemouth’s own Chris Billam-Smith – a stablemate of Azim and Dubois – challenges WBO world cruiserweight champion Lawrence Okolie at the Vitality Stadium.

London, UK – (March 15, 2023) – BOXXER heads to Poland next month for its second international event of 2023, presenting a world title fight and a stacked card of elite championship boxing on Saturday, April 22, in association with Knockout Promotions.

Fresh from a successful event in Paris last weekend, where Dan Azeez captured the EBU light-heavyweight title and Lauren Price extended her unbeaten professional record, another huge trip to the continent is in the reckoning.

Caroline Dubois leads the star-studded travelling party to Rzeszów, along with brand new BOXXER signing Martin Bakole and fellow heavyweight Jeamie TKV – with Alen Babic headlining, live and exclusively in the UK & Republic of Ireland on Sky Sports, when he faces Lukasz Rozanski for the vacant WBC World Bridgerweight title. 

Trained by Shane McGuigan, rising superstar Dubois (6-0, 5 KOs) blasted her way through Feriche Mashaury at the OVO Wembley Arena in February to make another emphatic stride in her burgeoning career.

Mashaury has fought the likes of Chantelle Cameron and Terri Harper and took recently crowned British Boxer of the Year Natasha Jonas the distance in 2019.

But former Team GB hero Dubois, 22, made light work of her Tanzania rival and dispatched her inside two destructive rounds. An opponent for April 22 will be named in due course.

The ‘Next King of Scotland’ Martin Bakole (18-1-0, 13 KOs) will make his highly-anticipated BOXXER debut when he takes on unbeaten Ukrainian, Ihor Shevadzutskyi (10-0, 8 KOs) in a battle of the behemoths. 

Bakole signed a long-term deal with BOXXER back in February. And the Ayrshire-based heavyweight, who is ranked highly by the WBA, will be out to make a major statement when he collides with a man nicknamed ‘the Hulk’, who has wins over Kevin Johnson and Kamil Sokolowski on his CV.

Standing at a menacing 6ft 6in, Bakole hails from the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he was born a prince to the son of the ruler of the Kananga province. His brother is former WBC World Cruiserweight king, Ilunga Makabu.

His record is as impressive as his stature, having won 18 professional fights including his last in May 2022 when he celebrated a majority decision victory over Tony Yoka in the Rio 2016 Olympic champion’s homeland in Paris, France.

Bakole’s only defeat was in 2018 to American heavyweight Michael Hunter. But he has responded with seven successive wins since – five of which were knockouts, including triumphs against Kevin Johnson and Mariusz Wach.

Another impressive heavyweight on the fight card in Rzeszów is Jeamie TKV (4-0, 2 KOs).

The undefeated Londoner has made a great impression with BOXXER, enjoying four wins – including his breathtaking points victory over Harry Armstrong last month.

The 29-year-old has been training in Texas and can now look forward to his first fight outside of his capital city when he travels to Poland next month.

Completing the line-up will be a hotly-contested main event which sees the popular Croatian knockout artist, Alen ‘The Savage’ Babic (11-0, 10 KOs) battle Poland’s own Lukasz Rozanski (14-0, 13 KOS) for the vacant WBC World Bridgerweight Championship.

London, England – 11th February 2023 –Adam Azim, the most exciting young prospect in world boxing today, dominated an experienced undefeated opponent in Santos Reyes to take a unanimous decision victory over 10 rounds.

Azim gave a mature, intelligent performance to move to 8-0 as a professional, controlling the entire fight and almost never giving Reyes the opportunity to land a single clean shot on him. Azim jabbed and moved throughout, not taking a single risk before he landed a knockdown in the second round, where he then did increase his offensive output.

The jab was the shot that everything was built on from Azim, consistently using it to hit Reyes without Reyes having a chance to respond, and building from it into his more powerful shots, with the lead left hook having notable success. 

Azim also targeted the body throughout the fight, finding and exploiting any gap in Reyes’s defense to perfection en route to a clear victory.

All three judges scored the contest 100-89, the shutout victory underlining how Azim looks utterly unstoppable at only 20 years old and destined for greatness in the coming years.

Zak Chelli def. Anthony Sims Jr – UD (98-92, 98-92, 99-92)

Former English Super Middleweight Champion Zak Chelli put on one of the best performances of his career to beat a highly regarded opponent in Anthony Sims Jr who many thought would be too much for Chelli. 

Chelli got the best of the opening rounds of the fight, although all were highly competitive. Chelli used his jab to great success to both the body and the head and timed closing the distance expertly, allowing him to land shots without taking many in return.

Sims Jr remained competitive throughout, and made Chelli miss on many occasions, but certain shots from Chelli found their mark on multiple occasions, those being a winging overhand right and a disciplined right uppercut, which both were crucial weapons for Chelli’s success.

The eighth round was a Sims Jr’s best of the fight, as Chelli started to slow down and Sims jr dominated the exchanges, forcing Chelli to back up and defend. However, Chelli showed great spirit to come back out for the ninth and confidently trade punches and win exchanges, stopping Sims Jr from building any late fight momentum and seeing out the last round to take a unanimous decision victory.

Zak Chelli said to Sky Sports after the fight: “I outboxed the boxer. A lot of people doubted me, but I never doubted myself, so I knew I could win here.I want bigger, better fights now.”

Viddal Riley def. Anees Taj – TKO Rd 4 (0:04)

Highly touted Cruiserweight Viddal Riley moved to 8-0 as a professional in a strong performance that proved the excitement around him is justified. Viddal handled a high-pressure, aggressive opponent in Anees Taj who came to fight, using strong boxing skills and deploying his power at the right moments to force the fight to be stopped from a cut.

Viddal established a cannon-like jab from the start of the fight, using it to land stiff shots on Taj in the first round without giving him a chance to respond. Taj adapted to this well in the second round, and gave Viddal a few problems as the fight went on, but Viddal did the greater damage, opening up a cut next to Taj’s eye in the third round which bled significantly and was deemed too severe to continue the fight at the start of the next round.

The sky seems to be the limit for the popular, talented Viddal, and he looks set to keep on rising for a long time.

Viddal Riley said to Sky Sports after the fight:“I want to be a dominant champion, so I need to be tested, I need to be challenged. So I’m glad to have fights like that.”

Tyler Denny def. Brad Pauls – UD (97-93, 97-93, 98-93)

Tyler Denny and Brad Pauls went to war for 10 rounds for the English Middleweight Championship, with Denny showing immaculate boxing skill to claim victory and retain his title against a game opponent in Brad Pauls who did everything he could to win the fight. Denny has now fought six undefeated opponents in succession and has earned the right to call himself a Champion.

The fight started tensely, with both fighters keeping discipline in the opening rounds. Pauls started to push forward more as the fight came out of the opening rounds, while Denny was counter-boxing and picking his shots highly successfully, broadly nullifying Pauls’s offense and landing some nicely timed counter-shots. 

Denny started to get the better of exchanges, and found greater confidence and success as the fight went on, despite every round being razor close. This pattern continued as the fight progressed, with Denny opening up and throwing more punches as he began to take control of the fight.

The English Middleweight Champion even came close to stopping the fight at times, clattering Pauls with hooks from both hands throughout the eighth rounds to devastating effect, but Pauls showed heart to respond to this onslaught with renewed offense of his own, seeing out the final two rounds with determination and undoubtedly gaining a lot of new fans despite the defeat.

Caroline Dubois def. Feriche Mashaury – TKO Rd 3 (0:47)

Former Tokyo 2020 Olympian Caroline Dubois showed once again why she is the most exciting prospect in women’s boxing with another stoppage victory in the sixth fight of her professional career. Dubois controlled the fight from the start, managing the distance and the pace of the fight, pushing Feriche Mashaury into the corner of the ring and peppering her with shots to the head and body.

Mashaury was a wiley opponent, using skill to survive the first two rounds, but was eventually overwhelmed by Dubois’s boxing ability and savage knockout power. 

Dubois stamped her presence in women’s boxing in 2022, waking people up to how talented she is, and 2023 looks set to be a continuation of her rapid ascent through the ranks. Nothing has slowed Caroline Dubois down yet in her quest for World Championships, and it doesn’t look like anything will soon.

Caroline Dubois said to Sky Sports after the fight: “She didn’t come to fight. It’s hard to stop someone who didn’t come in there to fight, but hopefully we can step up in future and start challenging for titles.”

Jeamie TKV def. Harry Armstrong – PTS (77-75)

Heavyweight prospect Jeamie TKV showed grit, determination and power as he took a dominant points victory in the fourth fight of his professional career. Harry Armstrong came into this fight undefeated and didn’t give an inch, winning multiple rounds on the referee’s scorecard, but was outworked and outfought by a serious talent in Jeamie TKV. 

TKV consistently got the better of this barbaric slugging match, finding the opportunities to land clubbing hooks to Armstrong’s head and body in the clinch. This was a true heavyweight battle – the combined weight of both fighters being a staggering 519 lbs – and neither man looked interested in having the fight last the whole eight rounds. 

Neither man would give up either though, so the fight went the distance, with action from the first to the final bell as both men left everything in the ring. Jeamie TKV is yet to be in a dull fight in his career, and looks set to keep moving through the ranks, scoring knockouts and winning fans in future.

Jeamie TKV said to Sky Sports after the fight: “I’m glad I took another victory tonight but I feel I could have got a stoppage there if I’d fought smarter. I fight to get knockouts and I had him in trouble a couple of times in the fight, but we move on and keep improving.”

Jordan Reynolds def. Mohamed Benchadi – TKO Rd 6 (0:58)

Luton’s own Jordan Reynolds outclassed an experienced opponent in Mohamed Benchadi in front of a rapturous section of his fans and in only his fifth professional bout, scoring a knockdown in the second round and remorselessly wearing down Benchadi on the way to ending the fight in the sixth and final round.

Reynolds rode roughshod over his opponent, but didn’t take a single unnecessary risk on his way to the second stoppage victory of his professional career, and his greatest so far. 

Reynolds used his jab to perfection, finding his range and damaging Benchadi without letting him land anything in return. Benchadi used strong evasion to recover from his second round knockdown but was eventually overwhelmed by the skill and power of Reynolds.

Jordan Reynolds said to Sky Sports after the fight: “This is my year now, I’ve had setback after setback but now it’s my time. I put him under pressure, educated pressure, to force the end of the fight. I got complacent in the fifth round, so I had to be smart to end the fight.”

Stephen McKenna def. Brendon Denes – TKO Rd 5 (0:22)

Stephen McKenna took the 12th stoppage victory of his 13 fight professional career with a measured performance to stop a determined opponent in Brendon Denes. McKenna showed a world-class engine to box at a frenetic pace for four whole rounds that left his opponent battered and unwilling to contest the fifth round, ending the fight.

The Monaghan native used sharp footwork to manoeuvre his opponent into the corner of the ring multiple times across the fight, allowing him to unload volleys of offense that couldn’t be avoided, building damage until the end of the fight. McKenna is one of the most notable welterweight prospects in world boxing and looks set to be in huge fights in the near future.

McKenna said to Sky Sports after the fight: “I felt his power early in the fight and was confident I could end up the last man standing when we went to war. I could have boxed in that fight perfectly but I wanted to make a statement and get the stoppage victory, which I did successfully. I’m moving up in my career now and hungry to keep winning.”

Hassan Azim def. Abdallah Luanja – TKO Rd 2 (2:43)

Heavy handed older brother of one half of tonight’s main event, Hassan Azim, produced a consummate performance to dominate and destroy a veteran opponent in Abdallah Luanja. Azim pummelled his opponent from the first bell, working smartly off his jab to close the distance and fire off powerful left hooks to the head and body. 

Azim looked close to forcing the stoppage at almost every moment of the fight, but Luanja stayed standing after shots that would have knocked out lesser fighters before the referee ended the fight late in the second round.

Azim said to Sky Sports after the fight: “I just put the pressure on him because I knew if I put the pressure on him he wouldn’t last the distance. I’ve been fighting 10 or 12 rounds in the gym so I knew I could get him out of there if I wanted to.

“I want to keep progressing from here and keep fighting better opponents in future.”

Razor Ali def. Hector Lozano – TKO Rd 3 (1:26)

Undefeated young prospect Razor Ali made a serious statement on the biggest stage of his professional career so far by taking his first-ever stoppage victory against a tough opponent in Hector Lozano. 

Ali kept the pressure up from the first bell, constantly moving towards Lozano and finding gaps in his defence, and came close to stopping the fight in the very first round. Lozano held on against Ali’s barrage until half way through the third round when the referee was forced to step in.

Ali said to Sky Sports after the fight: “I was very happy to get the first stoppage of my career. I had the opportunity to show what I can do in front of my people, my supporters, and I think I did that well tonight.”

Claressa Shields became the undisputed middleweight champion with a 10-round unanimous decision over amateur rival Savannah Marshall at The O2 Arena in London.

It was a fast paced fight that saw Shields land some fast combination. Marshall got into the fight and was able to pick up a few rounds and get the better of the action.

Shields landed 175 of 480 punches; Marshall landed 136 of 397.

Shields avenged her amateur defeat by scores of 97-93 twice and 96-94 and is now 13-0. Marshall is 12-1.

Baumgardner Decisions Mayer; Unifies 130 lb. Titles

Alycia Baumgardner added the IBF and WBO junior lightweight titles to her WBC belt with a 10-round split decision over Mikaela Mayer.

It was a tactical fight that had pockets of good action, Baumgardner controlled the early rounds by landing some good counter right hands. Mayer started to pick up the action in the middle rounds as she landed punches behind her pressure. In round seven, Mayer was cut over her right eye.

Baumgardner closed the show with solid punching in rounds nine and 10.

Baumgardner landed 116 of 335 punches; Mayer was 104 of 361.

Baumgardner of Detroit, MI won by scores of 96-94 and 96-95 and is now 13-1. Mayer, who took a card 97-93, is now 17-1.

Caroline DuBois stopped Milena Koleva in round five of their six-round lightweight bout.

In round four, DuBois dropped Koleva with a right hand. In round five, DuBois hurt Koleva with a hard right and and a follow up flurry pounded a limp Koleva on the ropes and the fight was stopped at 1:53.

DuBois of London is 4-0 with three knockouts. Koleva is 10-15-1.

Kariis Artingstall remained undefeated with a six-round decision over Marina Sakhorov in a featherweight bout.

Artingstall of England won by a 60-54 referee score and is now 2-0. Sakhorov is 5-17-2.

Fight fans will undoubtedly witness something special with Dubois in action, when the Shane McGuigan-trained southpaw displays her dynamite arsenal of shots in her home city.

But she faces a formidable opponent in Koleva who took Katie Taylor to the distance back in March 2017, only to be beaten on points.

Manchester, England – 8 June 2022 – Fast emerging BOXXER talents Caroline Dubois, Hassan Azim and Brad Rea will showcase their talents on the undercard of the crunch heavyweight showdown between Hughie Fury and Michael Hunter at the AO Arena Manchester on Saturday 2nd July, live and exclusive on Sky Sports.

The trio of prospects will join another red-hot talent who makes his highly-anticipated entry into the professional ranks, 2020 Olympic silver medallist Ben ‘B£NZO’ Whittaker. Trained by SugarHill Steward, multi-decorated amateur Whittaker was one of the most sought-after Tokyo Olympians by promoters. With his sublime talent and unique flair, he aims to become this generation’s face of the sport.

Manchester prospect Rea (13-0, 5 KO’s), who defeated Lukas Ndafoluma last time out in April, fights in front of his home fans’ for the second time this year when he features in an eight-rounder against Welshman Morgan Jones (14-3, 5 KO’s). 

The all-action middleweight flattened Craig McCarthy for the count with one left uppercut on his last visit to the AO Arena Manchester on the Khan-Brook undercard in February. London, England – Saturday 26 March 2022 – Full steam ahead for Richard ‘The Midnight Train’ Riakporhe (14-0, 10 KOs) following an eighth-round stoppage win over Deion Jumah (14-1, 7 KOs) to prove his worth as a world title opportunity.

Headlining Saturday night’s BOXXER card live on Sky Sports, Riakporhe dropped Jumah with a counter right hand in the fourth round then sealed the deal in the eighth, demonstrating his ferocious one-punch knockout power yet again with a wicked body shot that left Jumah on all fours in agony and forced the referee to wave the fight off.

Jumah did prove to be the busier man in the first few rounds, he managed to close the distance against the much taller Riakporhe and landed some well-timed combinations that had Riakporhe questioning at times.

The fight took its time to live to its potential and after four slow rounds Riakporhe came to life with a beautiful overhand right that sent Jumah flying to the canvas, however, Jumah managed to rise to his feet and survive until the bell.

Deion ‘The Ghost’ Jumah replied to the knockdown in the best fashion as he got back to his boxing and landed more combinations inside the distance. The midway point of the fight saw the two equally matched with much cagey atmosphere present.

For the time that it lasted, respects must be paid to Jumah who fought the much bigger man and gave it his all. Riakporhe proved that he is ready to take the next step in his career towards a cruiserweight world title.

With Riakporhe originally to fight Fabio Turchi and Jumah to fight Mikael Lawal, all can applaud both fighters for taking this high-stakes fight. Both have sparred in the past with Jumah claiming to have gotten the better of Riakporhe. Riakporhe was sure to put the facts straight on the night and did with an impressive performance.

Riakporhe entered the fight ranked number seven by the World Bouncing Council with many opportunities awaiting ‘The Midnight Train’ next.

In chief support and following on from his British title victory last time out, Dan Azeez (16-0, 11 KOs) continued his hot streak in the BOXXER limelight with a convincing eighth round stoppage over late opponent Reece Cartwright (23-3, 14 KOs).

In a fight that took its time to catch fire, Azeez earned his victory over Cartwright with his constant pressure and excellent endurance. With the corner of Cartwright throwing the towel in there is an argument that the referee should have stopped the fight a lot earlier.

Although the fight was made on short notice, its storyline was one to watch as the two men met in the amateurs with Cartwright getting the better of Azeez.

Azeez managed to get his revenge but applauds go out to Cartwright and his team for taking the fight on just two weeks’ notice, the fighter from Leeds showed true heart. Azeez will be hoping to get back in the ring promptly to take his first defence of his BBBCofC British light heavyweight title.

One of Britain’s finest rising stars Adam Azim (4-0, 3 KOs) put on a ferocious performance in his fourth professional fight which saw him obliterate Connor Marsden (6-2, 5 KOs) in just 30 seconds of the very first round.

Azim slipped a two-punch combination from Marsden at the very start of the fight and landed a powerful jab right on the button which dropped Marsden in just 12 seconds. When Marsden eventually made it back to his feet, Azim launched out of his corner to make sure he wouldn’t get up again.

In what was meant to be a step-up fight against the Southern Area champion, Azim left all in attendance in complete awe at his explosive speed and power. The 20-year-old from Slough has all the potential to be the next biggest star in British boxing.

The vacant English welterweight title was on the line at the OVO Arena as Louis Greene (13-3, 7 KOs) and Harry Scarff (11-2, 3 KOs) faced off in a competitive ten round fight that saw Scarff fight hard for a unanimous victory, the judges in attendance scored the bout 98-93, 100-91, 100-90.

Scarff became a two-division English champion with his victory over Greene which saw him show well developed boxing skills with the jab working effectively throughout the whole fight.

Caroline Dubois (2-0, 1 KOs) marked her second professional outing in spiteful fashion as she pinned her opponent Martina Horgasz (5-19, 4 KOs) on the ropes in the first round and landed a variety of body punches before the referee stepped in front of the wounded Hungarian.

The 21-year-old lightweight prospect trained by Shane McGuigan has a big 2022 ahead of her as she has plenty of time on her side to improve in the professional ranks.

The explosive and exciting Joe Pigford (19-0, 18 KOs) was back in action on the night with a brutal fourth round knockout over David Romero (12-15, 5 KOs). A monster of a right hand sent the Argentines mouthpiece flying out of his mouth.

The super-welterweight boasts one of the most impressive professional records in the division and possesses all the attributes to go far in the sport.

The Southampton born fighter will be looking to get back in the ring as soon as possible as he remains hungrier than ever for a well-deserved title fight.

Ben Davison trained heavyweight Jeamie TKV (1-0) was taken the distance on his professional debut by the Spaniard Alvaro Terrero (5-16-2, 3 KOs) as he won by unanimous shutout, 40-36.

The 28-year-old from Tottenham landed a lot of hurtful punches but struggled to detonate the finishing blow.

Amateur sensation Jimmy Lee (1-0, 0 KOs) impressed all on his professional debut as he defeated Jose Hernandez (4-41-1, 3 KOs) on a 40-35 points unanimous points decision.

The 18-year-old rangy southpaw demonstrated brilliant boxing skills that dropped his Nicaraguan opponent towards the end of the first round.

Hassan ‘The Hitman’ Azim (3-0, 2 KOs) continued his young career in brutal form with a first-round knockout over Yoncho Markov (4-4, 2 KOs). The right hand from Azim swooped over the guard of Markov that dropped the Bulgarian, convincing the referee to step in.

Former Team GB kickboxer Shannon Ryan (1-0, 0 KOs) started her professional boxing career with an easy 40-36 unanimous victory over Claudia Ferenczi (20-90-8, 10 KOs) from Slovakia.

In the evening’s swing bout, Chris ‘2Slick’ Kongo (13-1, 7 KO’s) made his promotional debut for BOXXER with a shutout points win over Spanish veteran Kelvin Dotel (14-7, 7 KO’s) over eight rounds in the evening’s swing bout.

RICHARD RIAKPORHE

Absolutely. I think it’s my time. We lost a bit of momentum with inactivity and now we’re back on the midnight train. We’re moving swiftly, so my next opponent is just another opponent that I need to deal with in good fashion.

Looking into Deion, it’s interesting. He’s been pro for a very long time, only had 14 fights, never had any significant wins. It makes you wonder what is going on with him. He calls himself ‘The Ghost’ – he has been a ghost. It just shows there’s different levels, you know? 

I don’t know, I think there’s something about it. Maybe it’s bad luck [on his part], I don’t know. But we’re going to put our finger on it on Saturday night.

He’s been talking a good game and he’s undefeated as well. I understand how undefeated fighters are quite stubborn but once I start letting my hands go, I don’t think he’s got the condition to withstand the punishment.

DEION JUMAH

I think Richard is still very early in his learning curve. He’s shown a bit more boxing skills over the last two, three fights. But he will have to revert back to his power-punching and offloading heavy shots, going for knockout early in this fight when he finds out I’m the superior boxer. So this is what we expect from him and this is what we know is going to happen.

I’m the superior boxer for sure and if he wants to offload [power] the way he has done in the past, then I’ve got something for him.

Yeah, it’s exciting. Richard was the first fighter we signed [after the Sky deal] and we had dreams of him headlining and winning world titles. That will happen. Unfortunately Fabio Turchi pulled out and it just shows Richard’s character to take this on. 

Richard will deal with Deion on Saturday night – he’s got a lot of power, he’s dealt with everyone else [domestically] – and then we’ll be on to world titles, but credit for Deion Jumah. Don’t overlook him he’s a he’s a top operator as well. It’s gonna be a crackling atmosphere. I can’t wait.
