BEY WRECKS ESCANDON IN MAIN EVENT OF SWIFT PROMOTIONS “THE FUTURE IS NOW: SERIES II” EVENT SATURDAY NIGHT FROM THE NEWTOWN SPORTS & EVENTS CENTER IN NEWTOWN, PA

PHILADELPHIA – June 7, 2025 – Boxing legend Danny Garcia’s Swift Promotions presented “The Future Is Now: Series II on Saturday night, as perennial fan favorite Mickey “Time Machine” Bey reasserted his presence as a top lightweight contender with an impressive and dominant third-round TKO over fellow former world champion Oscar Escandon at 2:03 of round three in the main event from the Newtown Sports & Events Center in Newtown, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia.

The action streamed live on Millions.co or through the Millions App.

Bey (26-3-1, 14 KOs) a native of Cleveland, Ohio, who now trains in Philadelphia, looked sharp in battering former WBC Interim World Featherweight Champion Escandon (27-10, 18 KOs) throughout the abbreviated contest.

Bey appeared to shake the Colombian Escandon with a left hook and had him bleeding steadily after round one. Bey dropped Escandon with a sharp salvo of shots at the end of round two and again in round three, prompting the responsible stoppage from Referee Eric Dali.

“I just had a ball in there like a kid in the candy store,” said Bey, post-fight. “I didn’t want to rush it. I knew he was looking to land something big, so I put the work in, in the gym. I knew what I was doing with my brain, but I just let my body do what I trained for. I’m older now, that’s why I’m the ‘Time Machine.’ I probably have a handful of fights left. I’m here for a good time, not a long time. We have some big plans after this.”

Hard-hitting 22-year-old Russian super featherweight prospect Dariial Kuchmenov (9-0, 7 KOs) showed off a formidable variety of offensive tools while stopping normally durable Mexican journeyman Diuhl “Elegante” Olguin (17-45-7, 10 KOs) at the end of the sixth round.

Now fighting out of Los Angeles via Nalchik, Russia, the 5’ 10” Kuchmenov towered over Olguin and proceeded to unload a furious arsenal of power punches and virtually ignore any return fire until his Mexican Californian opponent signaled he had suffered enough.

The official time was 3:00 of round six and all three judges had Kuchmenov winning by a shutout 60-54 at the time of the stoppage.

16-year-old bantamweight boxing prodigy “King” David Garcia continued his historic rise in the professional ranks with a quick demolition of MMA fighter Marcelino Rangel (1-2).

Phoenix, Arizona’s Garcia (4-0, 3 KOs), a four-time national champion as an amateur, had too many gifts for Rangel, who crumbled from the powerful onslaught from the teenage sensation at 2:53 of the opening frame.

“It’s a blessing. I wasn’t really looking for it but, it just came,” said Garcia of the knockout. “I felt like the time was right. He was moving around a lot, so I had to cut the ring off and land some power shots. I felt the time was right to trap him in the corner and demolish him.”

Rising welterweight prospect Thanjhae Teasley (13-0, 6 KOs) continued his ascension with a clear six-round unanimous decision over 30-fight veteran Nelson Morales.

26-year-old Teasley looked sharp against his former sparring partner Morales, banging him with wilting left hooks to the body and strong combinations to the head throughout the action. The iron-chinned Morales, stopped just two times against a long list of top competitors in his career, was able to survive the onslaught and offered moderate resistance.

At the end of the action, the scores were academic at 60-54 by all three judges.

Formerly world-ranked bantamweight Jonathan Rodriguez (18-3-1, 7 KOs) shook off the rust from 11 months of inactivity and got back in the win column with a unanimous eight-round decision over durable Colombian veteran Jesus Martinez (38-27-1, 16 KOs).

Rodriguez got in eight workmanlike rounds of work from the well-traveled Martinez, but the outcome was never in doubt. Upping the pace in the last round, Rodriguez was able to briefly hurt Martinez in a standout round eight for him.

The scores were 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73.

Promising 18-year-old super lightweight prospect Elijah “Macho” Gonzalez (2-0, 2 KOs) scored an entertaining fourth-round knockout over Codi Chavez (0-2).

In against an offensively gifted and younger foe, the game, but outgunned, Chavez was already bleeding from the nose by the end of round one and was dropped twice in round four. The first knockdown came from a perfect Gonzalez left hook and the finishing blow was a flush right to the jaw, which prompted Referee Shawn Clark to wave it off at 1:31 of round four.

To open the night’s action, former amateur standout Rommel “Ro” Dunbar Jr. (1-0) made a successful professional debut at super featherweight by taking a dominant four-round unanimous decision over Denzel Bowlding (0-6). A three-time state champion before turning pro, Dunbar stayed busy throughout, working especially well to Bowlding’s body against the ropes.

All three judges had it 40-36.

TEENAGE PHENOM “KING” DAVID GARCIA TALKS SWIFT PROMOTIONS DEBUT, MENTORSHIP FROM DANNY GARCIA & EDGAR BERLANGA, BECOME BOXING’S YOUNGEST CHAMPION & MORE AHEAD OF SHOWDOWN THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

PHILADELPHIA – June 4, 2025 – Highly-acclaimed teenage prospect “King” David Garcia will make his debut for boxing legend Danny Garcia’s Swift Promotions this Saturday night as he takes on Marcelino Rangel (1-1) in a four-round bantamweight matchup from the Newtown Sports & Events Center in Newtown, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia.

“Being able to make my U.S. debut with Swift Promotions has always been a dream of mine,” said Garcia, who’s already racked up a 3-0 record with 2 KO’s. “It means everything to me. It means that on June 7, a star will be born. That day will be legendary.”

At just 15-years-old, Garcia turned pro in 2024 after a standout amateur run across 80 fights that included four national championships (U.S. Championship, National Junior Olympics, National Silver Gloves and Wester Elite Qualifier). A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Garcia scored three victories last year, including two by stoppage, and will campaign at 115 pounds. Now 16-years-old, Garcia says his young foray into the paid ranks has always been the plan.

“We’ve known since I was about 13 that we were going to turn pro early,” said Garcia, who’s trained by his father David Sr. “We always wanted to do something different and stand out. Turning pro at 15 I feel like LeBron James, fresh out of high school to the NBA. That’s the type of statement we made by choosing the decision to go pro young and sign with a promotion company like Swift Promotions. We wanted to stand out.”

Garcia began boxing at just four-years-old, as his father and trainer David Sr. was inspired by the father-son team of Danny and Angel Garcia. He’s quickly shown the makings of a future world champion, and with the backing of boxing stalwarts such as Danny Garcia, Puerto Rican star Edgar Berlanga and former world champion Mickey Bey.

“Right now, Edgar is at the highest level in his career as far as his mentality and work ethic,” said Garcia, who will join Berlanga in training camp after June 7. “I’m excited to be around that energy and I think it’s gonna help me grow. I’ve been to camp with him a few times when I was younger, but this will be my first time when we’re both pros. I’m looking to be in that atmosphere with his killer mentality.”

With his idol Danny Garcia, “King” David explained how this June 7 event is the culmination of a years-long relationship between the two Garcia’s.

“I met Danny since I was six-years-old and I’ve been around him ever since,” said “King” David Garcia. “Whenever I was going to his fights or his training camps, I always told myself I was gonna be in his shoes one day. We used to talk about him signing me when he was later in his career, so it was a no-brainer when the time came. I feel comfortable with Danny guiding my career since he’s been in every situation that I’m gonna go through. We have the cheat code having Danny in our corner.”

A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Garcia scored three victories in his debut year, and will look to make a big statement fighting just outside of Philadelphia, a place he considers his home away from home because of his time spent with the legendary Danny Garcia.

“I’m so ready to put on a show for the Philly fans,” said Garcia. “That’s always been a second home for me, so to have my U.S. debut there is really exciting. I’m looking to make a statement to show that I belong in the pro game at the elite level. I’m gonna show everybody why I turned pro at such a young age.”

Despite his young age, Garcia has already set his expectations as high as possible, with his eyes set on fighting as much as possible in order to rocket up the rankings on his way to becoming the youngest world champion in history.

“The goal is to get more fights and more wins,” said Garcia. “We got a couple of big ones coming up, so I’m gonna stay busy. I plan to make a run to try to be the youngest world champion in the history of boxing. Until then, I just want to rack up more wins and be an inspiration for other kids out there.”

Title “The Future Is Now: Series II”, the event will stream live beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Millions.co or through the Millions App for the price of $19.99.

“I can’t wait for June 7 to give fight fans from Philly and all of Pennsylvania another stacked card with the stars of Swift Promotions,” said boxing legend and Founder and CEO of Swift Promotions Danny Garcia. “From top to bottom, these fighters have serious skills and they’re ready to leave it all in the ring. Make sure you come out and support, because I know everyone on this card is coming to show out.”

A native of Cleveland, Ohio who now trains in Philadelphia, Bey (25-3-1, 13 KOs) became a world champion in 2014 with a decision victory over the reigning lightweight world champion Miguel Vazquez, who had been riding a 13-fight winning streak before running into Bey. Most recently, Bey returned to the ring with a pair of stoppage victories in October 2023 and May 2024 and has now joined the Swift Promotions stable as he looks to make another run to the top of the sport beginning with this eight-round super lightweight attraction on June 7. He will face the 28-year-old Green (12-3-1, 4 KOs), who is unbeaten in his last six outings. A Florida-native, Green will make his 2025 debut after defeating Jayson Velez in June 2024 before most recently fighting Andrew Rodgers to a draw in July.

At just 15-years-old, David “King” Garcia (3-0, 2 KOs) turned pro in 2024 after a standout amateur run across 80 fights that included four national championships and has now signed with Swift Promotions to continue his pro run. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Garcia began boxing at just four-years-old, as his father and trainer David Sr. was inspired by the father-son team of Danny and Angel Garcia. With the backing of boxing stalwarts such as Danny Garcia, Puerto Rican star Edgar Berlanga and former world champion Mickey Bey, Garcia opted for the professional ranks instead of a run to the Olympics, and will continue that journey on June 7 in a four-round bout for a bantamweight youth title.

The action will also see Philadelphia’s own Miguel Roman (4-1-1, 1 KO) step into the ring for a six-round super featherweight affair as he looks to bounce back from a split-draw against Michael Ruiz in his previous fight last November. The 25-year-old turned pro in 2020 and won his first four bouts.

Also stepping into the ring is rising welterweight Thanjhae Teasley (12-0, 6 KOs) looking to keep his unbeaten record intact in an eight-round showdown. The 26-year-old Teasley is a native of Allentown, Pennsylvania and kicked off his 2025 in Swift Promotions’ first event of the year, as he stopped Eudy Bernardo in three rounds on March 8.

June 7 will also feature the return of Puerto Rican contender Jonathan Rodriguez (17-3-1, 7 KOs) in an eight-round bantamweight attraction. Now fighting out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Rodriguez worked his way up the rankings with a 10-fight unbeaten streak before he was beaten by top contender Antonio Vargas in February 2024. Most recently, Rodriguez traveled to Japan and dropped a contest to Japanese superstar Tenshin Nasukawa last July.

The stacked card continues with the return of the unbeaten Raymond Cuadrado (8-0, 3 KOs) in a six-round attraction fought at a 138-pound catchweight. The 28-year-old from Ridgewood, New York last entered the ring in June 2023 when he defeated Yeuri Andujar by unanimous decision.

Exciting featherweight prospect Keith Colon (5-0, 5 KOs) will make his third appearance of 2025 on June 7, as he competes in a six-round duel. The 22-year-old put together a stellar amateur career that included a run to the final of the 2021 U.S.A. National Championship. Fighting out of his native Newark, New Jersey, Colon has scored stoppage victories over Angelo Ramos in February and Rashad Hicks in April so far this year.

The hard-hitting 22-year-old Russian prospect Dariial Kuchmenov (8-0, 6 KOs) will compete in a six-round super featherweight bout. Now fighting out of Los Angeles, Kuchmenov enters this fight having scored KO victories in each of his last three outings, including most recently delivering a first-round stoppage of Daniel Lugo in May 2024.

Also in action will be 19-year-old prospect Juan Rivera V (6-0, 4 KOs) in a six-round super lightweight attraction. A Philadelphia-native with a high-level amateur pedigree, Rivera turned pro in April 2024, and has already earned a pair of victories in 2025 after stoppages of Marcello Williams in February and Yeifer Valencia one month later in March.

Making his pro debut will be amateur standout Rommel “Ro” Dunbar in a four-round featherweight tilt. A three-time state champion before turning pro, Dunbar has sparred with notable action fighter and former title challenger Azat Hovhannisyan.

In the co-main event, Cuban Olympian Dainier “The Fear” Pero (7-0, 5 KOs) will take on James Evans in an 8-round heavyweight fight. Pero makes his third straight appearance on Most Valuable Prospects, following his latest heavyweight bout vs. Jose Mario Tamez on Most Valuable Prospects 6 in April 2024, and his February 2024 bout against Joe Jones on Most Valuable Prospects 5. Pero, the 24-year-old 6’5” talent promoted by Boxlab Promotions, showed his merit as a fighter on the fast track to heavyweight title contender in both recent bouts. His relentless series of power combos earned him a first round TKO win against Tamez, and a second round TKO against Jones. Pero comes to the ring from Orlando, Florida by way of Camaguey, Cuba. With his formidable size, Pero will present a difficult challenge on Friday, July 26, as the heavy-hitter seeks to defend his undefeated streak for the eighth time against James Evans.

James Evans (7-1-1, 7 KOs) comes to the ring from Toledo, Ohio. He first took up boxing after high school, finding his natural power and athleticism well-suited to the sport. These natural talents allowed him to rise in the amateur ranks before eventually competing in the US amateur national tournaments in 2017, 2018 and 2019. After turning pro at the end of 2019, Evans’ seven wins have each come by knockout. He fought to a draw with fellow prospect Steven Torres, and suffered his one loss by stoppage when the pair rematched on short notice in July 2023. Evans is trained by Andy Bell, the father of unbeaten Toledo featherweight “Prince” Albert Bell. Coming to the ring fresh off his latest second-round KO victory in March 2024, Evans will match Pero’s 6’5” size, looking to surprise the local Orlando favorite with a quick knockout on Most Valuable Prospects 7.

Joining the preliminary card will be the young local talent Damazion “Mazirati” Vanhouter (6-0, 3 KOs) vs. Cody Kerr (3-2-1, 1 KO). The 19-year-old Vanhouter, fighting out of St. Petersburg, Florida, returns to the series after making waves on the Serrano vs. Ramos and Most Valuable Prospects 3 undercard with a decisive UD victory over Nafys Anas Garner. Vanhouter will put his undefeated record on the line in a 6-round heavyweight fight against the 6’3” 24-year-old Kerr, who comes to the ring from Spearfish, South Dakota.

Also joining the card for a 4 round super featherweight bout will be 19-year-old Carlos De Leon Castro (1-0, 1 KO). His early start and rigorous training led him to 11 Puerto Rican national championship wins in the amateur ranks. He aims to become the next great Puerto Rican star to emerge from the island, following in the footsteps of boxing legends Tito Trinidad and Miguel Cotto. In June 2024, De Leon Castro made his spectacular entrance into the professional boxing scene, scoring a first-round knockout against Christian Reed, which showed live globally on DAZN and drew attention to his potential and skill in the ring.

Alongside Vahouter vs. Kerr and Carlos De Leon Castro’s preliminary bouts will be a 6 round lightweight bout featuring 18-time national champion and WBO Youth World Champion Kaipo Gallegos (5-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. Armando Frausto (10-4-1, 5 KOs). Gallegos, the Las Vegas native, is currently ranked #16 in the world by the WBO at just 18 years old and is promoted by Shuan Boxing and Boxlab Promotions. Frausto comes to the ring from La Marque, Texas by way of Fresno, California. The 24-year-old prospect Sean “Untouchable” Mason (11-0, 8 KOs) will also join the card. MVP’S MOST VALUABLE PROSPECTS 7 TO BE HEADLINED BY HEAVYWEIGHT SHOWDOWN BETWEEN 6-0, 6 KOS PROSPECT GURGEN “BIG GUG” HOVHANNISYAN VS. ROBERT HALL JR. ON FRIDAY, JULY 26 IN ORLANDO, FL, PROMOTED BY BOXLAB PROMOTIONS AND AVAILABLE GLOBALLY ON DAZN

NEW YORK, NY – June 11, 2024 – Today, MVP announced that MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 7 will take place Friday, July 26 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, FL, available globally as part of the DAZN subscription package with Boxlab Promotions serving as the official licensed promoter. The main card of Most Valuable Prospects 7, presented by CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy, will be headlined by the 8-round heavyweight showdown between Armenian-American rising prospect Gurgen “Big Gug” Hovhannisyan (6-0, 6 KOs) vs. Robert Hall Jr. (14-3, 11 KOs). Also on the card, the young Puerto Rican sensation and Amanda Serrano’s first signed fighter Krystal Rosado (3-0, 1 KO) will take on Veronika Dmitriyeva (1-1) in a 6 round bantamweight bout, marking Rosado’s next step up in competition across additional rounds. Friday, July 26 will also feature a 6 round heavyweight bout between ?David Garcia (6-0, 3 KOs) vs. Dominicc Hardy (6-2, 4 KOs), as Crescent City, FL’s Garcia returns to the Most Valuable Prospects series fresh off his dazzling KO of Henry Richard at Most Valuable Prospects 6 in April 2024. Tickets for Most Valuable Prospects 7 are available now on Ticketmaster

Armenian-American Gurgen “Big Gug” Hovhannisyan (6-0, 6 KOs) will take the ring in the main event, set to be an 8 round heavyweight bout as Big Gug looks to send yet another fighter into early retirement following his latest matchup in May 2024 against Luis Pascual, in which Pascual quit on his stool after the second round. Hovhannisyan, the 26-year-old 6’7” talent fighting out of Los Angeles, CA by way of Yerevan, Armenia, burst onto the world amateur scene in 2016, facing off with numerous top amateur fighters. His 2021 bout with Bakhodir Jalolov, the 2020 Olympic gold medalist at super-heavyweight, resulted in a narrow split decision loss. Feeling his power would be a better fit for the professional ranks, Hovhannisyan turned pro later that year. Following an unlucky streak in 2022 where multiple matches fell through at the late stages, Hovhannisyan’s eye-catching knockout of prospect Michael Polite-Coffee in October 2022 made his mark as a serious future title contender. Now, Hovhannisyan seeks to show off his intimidating power again against the more experienced Robert Hall Jr. Gurgen, ready to prove his unshakeable poise in the ring despite being so early on in his professional career. Hovhannisyan is trained by legendary trainer Joe Goosen.

Facing off against Hovhannisyan will be Robert Hall Jr. (14-3, 11 KOs), who brings 10 years of professional experience to the ring on Friday, July 26. The 6’3” talent out of Johnson City, Tennessee is ready to step up against the larger Hovhannisyan, focused on reestablishing his win streak at Most Valuable Prospects 7. As an amateur, he competed multiple times in the USA Boxing national tournaments. After turning pro, Hall won the Tennessee state cruiserweight title and a WBC regional title. As with many fighters, the COVID-19 pandemic halted Hall’s progress as a pro, stalling him at a 12-1 record for nearly three years before returning to the ring. Seeking to become a full-time professional boxer, Hall seeks to overcome the challenge of Hovhannisyan in both size and talent. He is trained by Brad Austin.

Joining the preliminary card ahead of Hovhannisyan vs. Hall will be Amanda Serrano’s first signed fighter, the 21-year-old Puerto Rican sensation, Krystal Rosado (3-0, 1 KO) in her highly anticipated return to the ring. Previously, the Carolina, Puerto Rico native made her MVP and professional debut at MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 2 show in August 2023, stunning fans with a ferocious second-round KO against Tarrethia Dixon. Rosado went on to compete on MVP’s historic Serrano vs. Ramos card in October 2023, earning her decisive second win over Hungary’s Kata Pap, before making her most recent appearance in front of her home fans at the legendary Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan as part of MVP’s main card marquee event in March 2024. In front of her home fans, Rosado put on a ferocious show, displaying her championship potential against her most experienced opponent to date, Mexican-American talent Alyssia Lopez. Rosado took home a unanimous decision win and now seeks to continue her undefeated streak against Veronika Dmitriyeva (1-1). The fight marks Rosado’s first event competing over 6 rounds, and the young talent will test her endurance and power against Dmitriyeva. Dmitriyeva, who competes in both bare knuckle and traditional boxing, comes to the ring from Sheridan, Wyoming by way of Russia and aims to serve Rosado her first professional loss in the ring on Friday, July 26.

Garcia is a former Junior Olympic national champion, and the 24-year-old heavyweight and local fan favorite is yet-undefeated in his professional career. Dominicc Hardy, coming to the ring out of Riverside, IL by way of Chicago, was a 2017 Chicago Golden Gloves Champion. The 6’3″ talent is fresh off his latest March 2024 KO victory and will look to utilize his height advantage in the ring against a 5’8” Garcia to end Garcia’s undefeated streak.

“We’re thrilled to be returning to Orlando to showcase the future of boxing with our upcoming Most Valuable Prospects 7 card. This event will again feature some of the top young prospects in the game who are ready to prove they belong on the big stage, and we can’t wait for fans to witness the talent and heart they bring to the ring on Friday, July 26,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of MVP. “We’re particularly excited about Gurgen Hovhannisyan, whose power and precision have already made waves in the heavyweight division, and the return of Krystal Rosado, whose speed and technique are redefining the standards in women’s boxing, following in the footsteps of Amanda Serrano. Thank you to Boxlab Promotions and CELSIUS for their dedication to bringing another incredible night of boxing to Orlando, and we look forward to unveiling the rest of this exciting card soon.”

“On behalf of Caribe Royale and its entire team we welcome back MVP’s Most Valuable Prospect Series to Orlando! As usual this is a stacked card featuring the best young talent from around the world showcasing their skills in competitive fights,” said Amaury Piedra, Managing Director of Caribe Royale Resort and President of Boxlab Promotions. “It’s going to be a great evening of boxing for the residents and visitors to central Florida and the television viewing audience on DAZN as well.”

The Most Valuable Prospects series is produced and marketed by MVP with Boxlab Promotions serving as the official licensed promoter and is distributed globally by DAZN. The seventh event in the series will continue the commitment from MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian to highlight the world’s best up-and-coming boxing talent. All events within Most Valuable Prospects will take place on Friday nights in 2024.
