PHILADELPHIA (October 1, 2021)–RDR Promotions will be back at the 2300 Arena with a terrific nine-bout card that will take place next Saturday night, October 9th.

The main event will feature an intriguing eight-round featherweight bout that will pit Donald “No Love” Smith (12-1, 8 KOs) of Philadelphia taking on Elijah Pierce (11-2, 10 KOs) of Midwest City, Oklahoma

In six-round bouts, Isaiah Wise (9-2-2, 5 KOs) of Philadelphia takes on DeWayne Williams (3-3, 3 KOs) in a middleweight bout.

Undefeated super featherweight, Joshafat Ortiz (7-0, 4 KOs) of Reading, PA will battle an opponent to be named.

In four-round bouts:

Nicholas Sullivan (3-0, 1 KO) of Norfolk, VA takes on Braulio Avila (3-11, 1 KO) of Mexico in a lightweight contest.

Boimah Karmo (1-0) of Sharon Hill, PA fights pro debuting Michael Gibbons of Atlanta in a welterweight contest.

PHILADELPHIA (September 21, 2021)–It will be a battle of featherweight contenders when Donald Smith takes on Elijah Pierce in the eight-round featured bout of a great night of boxing on Saturday, October 9th at the 2300 Arena.

Smith of Philadelphia has a record of 12-1 with eight knockouts. The 28 year-old Smith is a five-year professional, won his first 10 bouts. In his last bout, Smith stopped Jonathan Leona Ramos on May 8th at the 2300 Arena.

Pierce of Midwest City, Oklahoma is 11-2 with 10 knockouts. Nahir Albright – Jeremy Hill Highlights RDR Promotions Card on Friday, July 23rd at The 2300 Arena

PHILADELPHIA (June 25, 2021)-Rising Lightweight Nahir Albright will take on Jeremy Hill In the main event on Friday night, July 23rd, which will kick off “Crossroads” weekend at the 2300 Arena.

The card will be the first of back-to-back shows as RDR Promotions will be back the very next night with another action packed show that will also feature some of the best talent in the county.

Albright of Sicklerville, New Jersey has a record of 12-1 with six knockouts.

The 25 year-old Albright has been streaking as he stopped his last four opponents which includes early wins over Dante Cox (6-1) and his fight when he stopped former world title challenger Cosme Rivera in eight-rounds on May 28th in Rivera’s home country of Mexico. Albright also has wins over Danny Murray (1-0), Glenford Nickey (4-1-1) and Roy McGill (6-1-1).

Hill of New Orleans has a record of 15-1 with 10 knockouts.

Hiil, 28 years-old is a three-year pro who has wins over Leshawn Alcoks (1-0), Xavier Wilson (11-1-1) and Travis Castellon (16-3-1). Hill is coming off of a fourth round stoppage over Deivi Julio on May 15th in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Jefferson Decisions Olguin in Philadelphia

Rashiem Jefferson Jr. remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Diuhl Olguin in a featherweight in front of a near (Covid-Restricted) capacity at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Jefferson, 127 lbs of Philadelphia won by scores of 60-54 twice and 59-55 and is now 6-0. Olguin, 129 lbs of Guadalajara, MEX is 15-17-4.

Edgar Cortes took a split decision from previously undefeated Alexander Castellano in bantamweight contest.

Cortes, 117.9 lbs of Millville, NJ won by scores of 58-56 twice, while Castellano took card by a 58-56 tally.

Cortes is now 8-6-1. Castellano, 119.6 lbs of Tonawanda, NY is now 4-1.

Shinard Bunch obliterated Diego Vicente Perez in 34 seconds of their six-round junior welterweight bout.

Seconds into the bout, Bunch landed a jab to the body the sent Perez to the canvas. Perez got to his feet, but not for long as Bunch landed an overhand right that sent Perez to the deck, and the fight was stopped at 34 seconds.

Bunch, 142.2 lbs of Trenton, NJ is now 15-1 with 13 knockouts. Perez, 142.7 lbs of Buenos Aries, ARG is 13-13-1.

Donald Smith needed just 60 seconds to take out Jonathan Lecona Ra:mos in their six-round featherweight bout.

Smith landed a body shot that sent Lecona down for the 10-count at 1:00.

Smalls hurt Pena with a chopping right. He followed up with a hard flurry and the fight was stopped at 1:42.

Christian Bermudez stopped Joseph Santana in round two of a scheduled four-round junior welterweight bout.

Bermudez dropped Santana in round two, and the bout was stopped at 31 seconds.

EARLY RESULTS FROM PHILADELPHIA

Dylan Price thrilled his adoring fans and looked explosive in taking out Elias Joaquino in round two of their scheduled eight-round bantamweight bout at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Price dropped Joaquino with a hard left uppercut in the 2nd frame that sent the visitor from the Philippines. It was a left hook that did Joaquino in as Price connected and the dumped his opponent on the canvas and the fight was stopped at 1:54.

Smith dominated by pounding away at the ample body of Avila. Finally the fight was stopped at 1:51 of round four.

Smith of Philadelphia is 11-1 with seven knockouts. Avila of Mexico is 3-8.

Naheem Parker took out Matt Apolinaris in round three of their four-round lightweight bout.

Parker was rocked in the opening round by a left hook from Apolinaris, but was able to right himself and come back and hurt Apolinaris with several shots before the fight was stopped at 2:14 of round three.

Parker of Philadelphia is 2-0 with one knockout. Apolinaris is 1-1.

Isaiah Johnson looked explosive in taking out David Loueiro in the 1st round of their four-round super lightweight bout.

Johnson landed hard and flush shots to the face of Loureiro and the fight was tsopped at 1:14.

Dylan Price Headlines Day-Night Doubleheader on Saturday, April 17th at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA (March 19, 2021) – A special Day-Night Doubleheader of boxing is planned for Saturday afternoon and evening at the 2300 Arena, where local favorites, Donald Smith & Dylan Price will headline respective shows.

The shows, which are promoted by Price Promotions, will begin at 4:30 and 8 PM

Headlining the evening card will be super flyweight Dylan Price taking on Gabriel Bernardi for an NBA Regional Super Flyweight title.

The eight-round bout will feature the undefeated Price, who has a record of 12-0 with nine knockouts.

The 22 year-old Price is a four-year pro and is coming off a fourth-round stoppage over Samuel Gutierrez on January 16th in Chester, Pa.

Bernardi of Puerto Rico is 5-1 with two knockouts. Bernardi is also a four-year pro, and is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Jose Ocasio on October 4, 2019 in Kissimmee, Florida.

Foster Decisions Smith in Clash of Undefeated Featherweights in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA (February 8, 2021) – This past Saturday, William Foster III came into Philadelphia and won a six-round unanimous decision over Donald Smith, in battle of undefeated featherweights.

The bout topped a five-bout RDR Promotions card at the 2300 Arena.

Foster did well by taking the fight on the inside and grind out the rounds. Smith did well when he was able to create space, but Foster controlled the geography of the contest, and won by scores of 60-54 and 59-55 twice.

Foster of New Haven, Connecticut raised his perfect ledger to 12-0. Smith of Philadelphia is now 10-1.

Nahir Albright needed just 54 seconds to dispose of veteran Darnell Jiles Jr. in a scheduled eight-round lightweight bout.

In the opening seconds of the bout, Albright came out and landed a hard combination that stunned Jiles and forced a standing eight-count by referee Benjy Esteves. Albright continued his furious assault as he buckled Jiles and the fight was stopped.

RDR Promotions Presents a Super Night of Boxing on Saturday, February 6th at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA (January 19, 2021) – A terrific night of boxing is planned for Saturday night, February 6th at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The eight-bout event, promoted by RDR Promotions will feature a pair of undefeated featherweights in the main event as Donald “No Love” Smith takes on William Foster III in a bout scheduled for six-rounds.

Smith, 27 of Philadelphia, has a record of 10-0 with six knockouts. Smith is a five-year professional, and is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Abdur-Raheem Abdullah on August 10, 2019 in Philadelphia.

Foster, 27, of New Haven, Connecticut is 11-0 with eight knockouts. The six-year pro has quality wins over undefeated Sulaiman Segawa (10-0) and Angel Suarez. In his last bout, Foster took out Jahmal Dyer in three rounds on November 9, 2019 in Portland, Maine.

In the eight-round co-feature, undefeated welterweight Mark Dawson takes on Derrick Whitley Jr. in an eight-round bout.

Dawson, 23, of Philadelphia is undefeated at 7-0-1 with three knockouts. The five-year professional, is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over crosstown rival Vincent Floyd on November 7th at the 2300 Arena. Dawson is managed by Split-T Management.

Whitley of Springfield, Mass. has a record of 6-1-1. The 29 year-old is a four-year professional. In his last bout, Whitey fought to a no-decision with Jermaine Corley due to a cut caused by an accidental headbutt on December 13th, 2019 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

In six-round bouts:

Nahir Albright (8-1, 2 KOs) of Sicklerville, New Jersey fights veteran Darnell Jiles Jr. (9-5-2, 3 KOs) of Rochester, New York in a lightweight contest.

Edgar Joe Cortes (6-6-1) of Vineland, New Jersey fights Michael Stoute (3-2-1) of Long Island, New York in a featherweight contest.

Sharif Rahman (3-0, 2 KOs) of Las Vegas fights Gladmir Jacinto (0-2) of Fresno, California in a super welterweight bout.

Rahman is the son of former Heavyweight Champion of the World, Hasim Rahman.

In four-round bouts:

Rashiem Jefferson (3-0) of Philadelphia takes on James Early (5-6) of Seat Pleasant, Maryland in a featherweight tussle.

Kahshad Elliott (1-0, 1 KO) of Plainfield, New Jersey will take on an opponent to be named in a super welterweight fight.

Elliott is managed by Split-T Management, and is promoted by Top Rank.

Derrick Starling of New Jersey will make his pro debut in a heavyweight fight.

SOUTHWEST PHILLY’S DONALD SMITH SIGNS WITH PELTZ BOXING; RETURNS MARCH 30 AT 2300 ARENA


PHILADELPHIA, PA–Southpaw featherweight Donald Smith, of Southwest Philadelphia, recently signed a contract to join Peltz Boxing Promotions, Inc. Smith, who turns 26 next week, has won all eight of his pro fights, five by knockout. He returns Saturday evening, March 30, on the world championship fight card at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia against Jose Antonio Martinez, of Zacatecas, Mexico, in a six-round contest.

Martinez, 35, at 11-17, 6 K0s, is the most experienced opponent yet for Smith, who played football and basketball at West Philadelphia High School.

Smith finds time to train despite holding down a series of jobs. He is a Direct Care Worker at an emergency youth shelter (Forget Me Knot Youth Services) and he is an After Care Worker at Birds of a Feather. He also drives after-school buses. As if he weren’t busy enough, Smith just landed another job, this one as a warehouse worker at Coca Cola.

“It’s amazing he found time to come into our office to sign a contract,” said Hall-of-Fame promoter J Russell Peltz. “In an era when many fighters want to be pampered, Smith is a breath of fresh air.”

As an amateur, Smith was 61-9 and he boxed in the National Golden Gloves, Junior Olympic Nationals, Silver Gloves Nationals and the USA Open Class Nationals.

Smith enjoys playing basketball and singing.

“He threatened to sing the National Anthem before one of his fights,” Peltz said, “but I had to turn him down on that one…for now.”

The card, which starts at 5.30 pm, is headlined by the World Boxing Council (WBC) light-heavyweight championship fight between champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk, of Kharkov, Ukraine, and challenger Doudou Ngumbu, of Kinshasa, Congo.




Thomas LaManna takes on former world title challenger Mike Arnaoutis for New Jersey State Welterweight Title on Friday, November 16th at The Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City


ATLANTIC CITY (October 23, 2018)–Welterweight contender Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna takes on former world title challenger Mike Arnaoutis for the New Jersey State Welterweight Title in the eight-round main event for will headline a full night of action on Friday night, November 16th at The Bourbon Room inside The Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City.

The card is promoted by Rising Star Promotions.

LaManna of Millville, New Jersey has a record of 26-2-1 with nine knockouts.

The 26 year-old LaManna is a seven-year professional, who won his first 16 bouts.

LaManna is currently riding a six-fight unbeaten streak. He has wins over Kendall Mena (20-3), and in his last bout he won an eight-round unanimous decision over Matthew Strode (25-6) on August 18th in Atlantic City.

This will be LaManna’s 7th consecutive start in Atlantic City, and 20 bout overall on the boardwalk.

Arnaoutis of Atlantic City, New Jersey via Athens, Greece has a record of 26-11-2 with 13 knockouts.

Arnaoutis began his career in 2001 and was undefeated in his first 16 bouts, which included wins over Hector Saez (4-1), Former world title challenger Jesse Feliciano (12-2-2), Joaquin Gallardo (16-2-1), Roberto Santa Cruz (11-2), Jose Leo Moreno (12-0) & Marc Thompson (14-0). Arnaoutis fought to a disputed draw with future world champion Juan Urango.

Arnaoutis challenged for the WBO Junior Welterweight title against Ricardo Torres on November 18, 2006. Aranoutis lost a split decision that many ringside observers thought Arnaoutis had pulled out the victory.

Arnaoutis has picked up victories over Lanardo Tyner (19-0) & Nasser Athumani (20-5-2).

In his bout, Arnaoutis lost to top prospect Jaron Ennis on June 1st in Atlantic City.

In the eight-round co-feature, Chris Thomas will defend the New Jersey State Middleweight Title against Eddie Edmond.

Thomas (10-0-1, 7 KOs) of Toms River, New Jersey won The New Jersey State Middleweight Title when scored a 3rd round stoppage over Darryl Bunting on June 1st.

The 20 year Thomas is a two-year professional, and is coming off a 2nd round knockout over 147-fight veteran Roberto Valenzuela on July 28th in Hampton, New Hampshire.

Edmond of Newark, New Jersey has a record of 4-5-2 with one knockout.

The 32 year-old is a 10-year professional is looking to get back in the win column after losing to Isiah Seldon on May 27th, 2016 in Atlantic City.

Also in an eight-round bout, Greg Jackson (8-7-1, 2 KOs) of Philadelphia takes on Juan Rodriguez Jr. (13-5, 3 KOs) of Union City, New Jersey in a welterweight rematch of a controversial bout that took place three years ago.

In that bout, most people who saw that bout had Jackson ahead at the time of a melee that happened in the crowd, and the bout was halted as there was not any ambulance onsite due to it being used to transport injured fans.

On November 16th, Jackson and Rodriguez will get it on again to settle the score.

John Bauza (11-0, 5 KOs) of North Bergen, New Jersey takes on an opponent to be named in a junior welterweight bout.

Donald Smith (7-0, 4 KOs) of Philadelphia takes on Tyrone Luckey (9-9-3, 7 KOs) of Neptune, New Jersey in a featherweight contest.

Yurik Mamedov (10-1, 3 KOs) of Brooklyn, NY takes on an opponent to be named in a welterweight bout.

Omar Salem (5-0, 2 Kos) of Brooklyn, NY takes on Albert Delgado (0-5-3) of Roanoke, VA in a middleweight bout.
